If Lena were in Quynh's role, and her iron coffin eventually rusts enough for her to break her way free (even drowning a few times on her way to the surface), I think she'd stalk the superfriends for a while. They know they're being followed. They try to outsmart their tracker but never do.
But instead of them being picked off one by one, someone starts sniping their enemies in the heat of battle. Their aim never failing, the pop of bullets finding their mark starts to punctuate their fights. But whenever they try to locate their guardian angel, Lena is long gone without a trace by the time they get there.
No one suspects a thing until one fight comes-- a final fight they know they'll need their angel's help for, and rely on it and strategize around it-- that their sniper doesn't fire. They're on their own.
But just as they're about to be overcome the sound of panic rises from their enemy as another player enters the fray from behind, slaughtering them faster than they can register they're there. The superfriends can only watch stunned as the enemy falls, their wild gunfire helpless against the onslaught of blade and fury.
When the gunsmoke clears and silence has fallen, they stare as the silhouette of their savior sharpens into the form of Lena, bloodied and breathing hard, but wholly alive. For long moments, they simply stare at each other, as though in a waking dream-- for they have only dreamed of Lena, never having met her, save Kara.
"L-Lena?"
The sound of her name clears the battle from Lena's gaze, and her eyes widen as though in relief. Kara takes a faltering step forward, and the spell is broken. Lena staggers towards her, as though unused to walking (though she has just quite capably wiped out an entire battalion of highly trained soldiers).
Kara's arms open to embrace her, but when Lena surges into them she drives her sword deep into Kara's abdomen. Kara coughs in surprise, looks down at the blade in shock.
"You abandoned me," Lena hisses, rage and hate in her eyes as she glares into Kara's bewildered stare. "You left me to the sea, while you collected your new family. Did you even look for me--?"
Kara closes the distance between them, now to the hilt of the blade still clenched in Lena's fist. She kisses Lena fiercely, then tenderly, her hands cupping Lena's cheeks.
"I'm sorry," she says when she breaks the kiss to rest her forehead against her lover's. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry--"
Lena's mask of rage then shatters to anguish. She yanks her sword free and lets it clatter to the ground as she too grabs Kara by the face and clutches her close. She kisses Kara again, then again, tears pouring down her cheeks.
The others can only watch with tears in their eyes as the lovers quietly fall to pieces against each other, finally reunited.

Andromache is propped up on their elbows staring at the sunset when Quỳnh finds them. They have camped here for several nights now, because the surroundings are peaceful and the view is spectacular.
Quỳnh often forgets how much time they have. The two of them spend so much time on the road, moving so quickly from place to place, that it is easy to forget that truly, there is no rush. There is always a pressure within themselves to do the most good they can, but they also have time to take breaks when they so choose. They have enough time left that they could spend decades just - being.
“Enjoying the sunset, my love?” Quỳnh shakes out her cloak and lays it down on the ground to sit next to Andromache. Andromache rests their head on her shoulder.
“Immensely.”
Quỳnh hums in response and settles in. The sun’s rays are still warm on her face even as they slowly begin to fade away into the horizon.
“I am glad we found this place,” she says into Andromache’s hair. “I have never seen anything like it. And I am glad that we can - take this time. To see such beautiful things.”
Andromache nods into her shoulder, and does not speak for several minutes.
“Sometimes,” they finally say, “I feel that I simply need the world to be beautiful. I know, and you know, how many dark and ugly things can be contained in our world, but I just wish to see something good and focus only on this for several minutes.”
“Yes,” Quỳnh says. “I feel that too.”
She thinks about kissing Andromache, but it doesn’t feel right for the moment, so instead she just squeezes their shoulders a little tighter, and sits with them until the sky has gone dark.

Hello anon! It’s 2AM and I should be asleep but instead I’m going to answer this ask. Partially because I tend to be perpetually behind on messages / asks (shout out to everyone I have yet to answer, I am so sorry), both because I’m often busy and incapable of brevity. I do not want that to happen to you, so here I go!

Here are some wlw/sapphic ships I love!!
• Carol/Maria from Captain Marvel. As far as I am concerned, they are canonically wives. It’s not subtle! I wrote a meta thread about how the themes of the movie are enhanced if you read it as a story about Carol as a gay woman. Also, every time I remember that “Kiss Me Deadly” is the song they sing together in karaoke, I freak the fuck out. I firmly feel like Stevebucky and Carolmaria are the 2 greatest love stories of the MCU movies and it’s astonishing how similar they are, too. I’ll never forgive the Marvel fandom for sidelining Maria in favorite of shipping Carol/Valkyrie because of insidious colorism. I wrote a mini fic about Maria feeling insecure when Carol meets Valkyrie to work out my frustrations about that too!
• Nomi / Amanita from Sense8. (In all ways but physical, Amanita is MY wife, actually.) I feel like they’re one of the coolest, healthiest, and most badass relationships on screen :’) They make me so fucking happy and I will never get over how ride or die they are for each other.
• Andy / Quynh from The Old Guard. I am crossing ALL of my fingers that they expand on them in the sequel, because I felt there was very strong subtext (that was barely subtext) there, and as far as I know they were together in the comics. Big shout out to Andy wearing Quynh’s necklace, for example. (I’d need to rewatch the movie to get lost back in the sauce and discuss them more because it’s been awhile)
• I have ships from Black Sails that I enjoy discussing in depth, but those are spoilers! (I tend to only talk Black Sails spoilers on @freedom-in-the-dark or my side twitter gaypiracy)
• This is fairly new, but I am eyeballing Katy / Xialing from Shang-Chi. There was subtext there too, I feel. Katy definitely seemed to have a crush on Xialing, and there was tension in the moment when Xialing saved her. I’m hoping they expand on that dynamic in future movies!
• I never finished this show (even though I meant to), but Cosima / Delphine in Orphan Black were near and dear to my heart a long time ago, so I can’t not mention them. It’s been a very long time since I’ve thought about them but they were a big deal.
• In the “fuck the CW” category: YEARS ago, back when I watched Arrow, Nyssa/Sara was extremely important to me. I adored them, and then of course they killed Sara (and later forced Nyssa to fake marry Oliver). I was also into Lexa/Clarke from The 100 during that era—because who wasn’t, though I didn’t love them as a ship as strongly as many people did—and we all know where that went.
That’s it for main ones, I think. Sorry if that disappoints! I’m especially sorry that I don’t have much meta to offer, unfortunately, simply because most of what I’m mentioning is either explicit canon so it didn’t involve subtext hunting or I watched it before I got super involved in media analysis. I’m planning on watching Killing Eve when it’s complete as long as it sticks the landing, and I know that show is going to eat my brain hahaha. Some of my friends are super into it and have sent me a couple clips here and there and I’ve unintentionally written meta off the cuff and they lose their shit. I’m looking forward to devouring it eventually.
As for ones I’m just sort of casually into... I never finished Legend of Korra (not yet anyway), but I loved and appreciated Korrasami because again, who doesn’t. Similarly, I could get behind Kate Bishop / America Chavez in my Young Avengers days, and Peggy / Angie from Agent Carter. From very far away, I salute the Supergirl fandom, because I know Kara/Lena would make me foam at the mouth if I was at all into watching it and I’m rooting for those crazy kids.

Movie recs:
Portrait of a Lady On Fire (which I know most people have seen by now), though warning that it’s very bittersweet or sad. Please, PLEASE watch Colette if you have not; that movie is very important to me, and it is both sapphic and gender. Likewise, please watch Professor Marston and the Wonder Women, which is based on a true story and involves an m/f/f polyamorous relationship.
Niche fic recs because people deserve to read these:
Sharon/Natasha fic that is vastly underrated and I love it, and Eleven/Max fic from Stranger Things that lives rent free in my brain. (I think Will/Mike is endgame in that show and the parallels between Will and Eleven do make me wonder if they’ll make her gay too.) These are literally the only fics for either of these ships I have ever read. And of course, this genderbent f/f 1950s Johnlock case fic which will kick your ass. You’re welcome in advance.

Last night I was thinking about Lena's first night with the immortal fam. How she'd likely curl up somewhere close to the fire-- the depths of the sea has left a chill deep in her bones-- a little ways away from the group. And how Kara, who usually keeps the night watch (she hasn't slept well since Lena was lost), would likely lay down next to her. Both of them on their sides (Lena will never sleep on her back again), facing each other, they would gaze at each other, hands nearly touching.
"Is this okay?" Kara might whisper, her voice cracking.
And Lena might extend a finger in response, letting it brush against Kara's. The touch would linger, an answer all its own. Wordless, just how they used to communicate, so many centuries ago.
They'd fall asleep like that, barely touching, but joined together for the first time in so, so long, while the others marvel at how quickly Kara slips into a deep, restful sleep. But she'd also wake first, and spend the first moments of dawn studying Lena's features-- the rosy tint of her lips, the flush of her cheeks having been so close to the fire. Kara might play with the ends of Lena's dark hair, as though to prove to herself that Lena is there. Real. Tangible. Whole.
Not a dream.

I imagine in this Lena-as-Quynh au that Lena's grasp on reality is shaky, even as she settles into life with the group. She's been on land for a while now, as finding Kara again took some time (considering how careful Kara is to remain off the grid), but she's been alone. In those months/years alone, she's developed a bad habit of slicing open her palm when she feels herself doubting the reality around her.
She heals almost instantly, and the pain is fleeting, so when she does it it's never just the once. She does it almost thoughtlessly, her gaze unfocused as she repeatedly cuts herself deep enough to sever tendon and muscle to graze bone. It centers her, calms her, reminds her that this is real, that she's no longer underwater.
The others at first try to stop her, but Lena quickly disabuses them of that notion when she reacts violently to their attempts to disarm her. When they can't find any other option as effective, they simply let her be, maybe going as far as placing a hand on her shoulder to remind her she's not alone.
One night, while she and Kara are sharing a sleeping bag, Kara feels Lena wake, trembling, then reach for her knife. Kara carefully tightens her grip, as though in sleep, but truly to comfort. Lena stills, and Kara can sense the wheels turning in her lover's mind.
In the end, Lena releases the knife and settles back in, but doesn't relax. In that moment, Kara's heart breaks, for she knows that Lena hasn't abandoned the knife because she trusts reality, but rather...
Lena doesn't want to know if it isn't.

But also imagine how easily it would be for Lena to get overstimulated and overwhelmed by noises and light. Depending on how deep she went, she may or may not have had sunlight reach her. And there wouldn't have been any sound except for her own gurgling screams. For centuries.
Like, imagine the group stumbles onto a street fair. At first Lena marvels at it, basking in the bright colors and mirthful sounds. But soon the music and the shouts and the laughter and the bustling crowds all combine into an overwhelming blur. She starts to have a panic attack and pushes through the crowds to find somewhere quiet, forgetting the rest of the group, who lose track of her.
A kind samaritan finds her in an alcove trying to calm her racing heart, but when he puts a hand on her shoulder to check on her, Lena reacts violently, nearly killing him if it weren't for the fact that Kara followed her and intervened just in time. Except Lena doesn't recognize Kara as a friend either, and just starts blindly fighting her, and Kara has to essentially crack her head against a brick wall to knock her out long enough to haul her back to the safehouse.
And remember, Lena is as skilled in combat as Kara, if not better (she's fast and precise whereas Kara is more brawn), so Kara really does have to work to subdue her, and cracking Lena's head open really is the only option.
After Lena revives and calms, Kara is kinda just like "okay, now we know" and moving forward they just keep a closer eye on Lena to read her cues and anticipate when she's getting overwhelmed.
As the decades pass, Lena slowly improves her tolerance, but she's never quite how she was before. They all just simply adapt to and support her as they would any other of their family.

Well, if we're keeping Lena as Andy for this idea, it would obvs have to be Andrea or Sam.
However. If we're including the Quynh story, then clearly Kara would be Andy and Lena would be Quynh.
I actually really like the idea of Kara as Andy. Collecting immortals, as the oldest of them all. Ancient. Burdened by the ages she's seen come and go.
As Quynh, Lena would be the first immortal Kara finds, perhaps as old as herself. They fall in love, cherish each other for a millenia. Until one day Lena meets with a fate worse than death: locked in a iron coffin and surrendered to the sea for centuries more to come.
Lena's existence becomes one of drowning and dying and waking and drowning, constantly squeezed by the pressure of the ocean's depths and numb to the way her fists crack and bloody under her desperate pounding to escape. Her prison holds, and the line between reality and unreality blurs into a wash of eternal suffering.
Meanwhile Kara and the others spend decades searching fruitlessly, exhausting every avenue until Kara ultimately calls it off. They surrender their search, and in so doing Kara breaks the first and last promise she ever made to Lena.
"You and me, now and forever."

Can you imagine how difficult it must have been for Lena as Quynh to emerge from the sea and have people speaking a different language from what she left? The technology, the pollution, the noise. How fast the world moves now, with cars and computers and office jobs.
She would rise from the water a woman with nothing to her name. But she's smart. She'd probably have to live on the streets a while, listening and learning. Learning about credit cards and photo IDs and social services.
Do you think she got a job to get some money to her name, or does she manage to live off stealing and thieving or even falling in with some shady criminal gangs? Heck, maybe she becomes a kingpin after she joins a crew-- she never was one to take orders.
It would certainly explain how she's able to get her hands on nice clothes, and on strange custom weapons modeled after ancient tools of war. But even as she leads the gang/mob/organization/whatever, she starts building a personal network to not only supply herself with safehouses across the globe, but also acquire massive amounts of wealth and networks. Which in turn gives her the means to achieve her ultimate goal--
To find Kara.
