That's Her Vote.

Leon rubs his eyes from fatigue, the book was just the same as the last one he read. He knows he had missed something he had too.

Why else would Tori flat line?

It had been unexpected he had been reading a parenting book when Nigel noticed something wrong with her breathing they tried everything beginning to become worried. You could only imagine the horror when they heard her heart monitor go blank.

He hadn't gotten sleep since. He had been no worried he knew Nigel was too Numbuh 8he had refused anyone to come into the room trying to take care of her and an inconsolable Nigel. Leon had begged to be allowed to help them nearly tearing apart the barrier.

He waited there all night wondering when he could go in. 8he was getting on his nerves.

"I don't want to sleep." Nigel cried looking into the incubator that held their baby. "This was my fault."

He knew there was something he could have done. He didn't know much about babies let alone human ones he wondered could he had done something as well that's why he stayed up reading books on how to care for human infants it seemed like everything was the same. No information on how he could have helped. He read every book on the ship about humans and nothing.

"Do you think this is my fault?" Leon softened looking at Nigel. "Do you think my powers were faulty?"

"It's not your fault. We didn't know-"

"I knew my creations only last a few hours!" He snaps tears trickling. "I should have know despite her last a day longer than the others."

"Don't beat yourself up too much." He looks over to the baby in the box. "We both thought she was in the clear after she made it to day two. We couldn't have known-"

"What if she dies?" He said his body shaking with emotion. "What if she dies and we can't do anything?"

He held him close so close it hurt. He didn't know if it would happen he made good points she could die on them. And Nigel couldn't bring her back as even a demi-God has limits.

"If is the keyword. We could also use it to say she could live and bounce back. She's strong she got that from you."

"I hope that's the only thing." He says watching their daughter squirm. She had been fussy about all the things tied on her and all the wires. They were worried she might pull them out.

"I rather her be more like you than me." He laughs trying to lighten the mood. "If she gets most of mine she's going to be a feral animal. And we already can't handle Chubbs."

"I can handle him just fine." He said after a few moments. "He only likes me. Your just jealous."

"Not even close." He says kissing his head. "He might be jealous once we bring Tori home. You know how he is."

It was true he headbutts and trips anyone he didn't like he eat other pets or attacks them to death. If anything he might try to eat their baby.

"That's why we're Chubbs proofing her room." He says looking at Tori who made a noise. "Don't worry he'll love you."

He poked one of his fingers into the box. She held it looking at him with a very 'Tori' look.

"I should go see 8he. He said we could take these off tomorrow. I want to see if he could do it early." He mumbled after a few moments.

"Maybe we should wait until she is in the clear. We never know."

"But what about if?" He sasses smirking back at him. "Did you just tell me that?"

"Yeah but this is different. We should wait the book say it better to be safe then sorry." He looked over it wondering if it was right.

"But those books are about your species not Gehans."

"But should we?"

They both didn't get an answer as Tori giggled at them reaching for Leon he smiled tickling her. Her laugh was something he hadn't heard before and he already never wanted to stop hearing. "I think we got her vote." He laughs as she held his top hands. She stuck her tongue out at him and he happily returned it.

"Your so childish." Nigel says kissing him Leon's ears wiggling with happiness. "I'll take it as a yes?"

"Why not?"

"You know what am realizing?" Nigel looked at Leon his eyes downcasted. "We just made life."

"I made life." Nigel corrects laughing at him. "Fifteen hours of pain for it."

"But why are you now just realizing this? She was born about a week ago." He looks over to the clock reading six am. They been up for a good hour or so after their appointment with 8he.

"Because today's the day we took her home and not gonna lie am scared." His words echoed across their room a bit as the new adults meet eyes worried.

"Me too." Nigel says looking down again clutching the railing. "Am worried about her future."

"Am worried about her health really." Leon thinks for a moment. "But why her future? We have money are about mentally stable and good people."

"What's there to worry about?"

"What if I mess this up?"

"Besides my parents I don't think there's ever been a good Uno parent. And am worried I might continue the cycle."

"Am worried that it won't be like what I thought it was. Mom and dad said I was a difficult baby and a complete contrast to how easy Aron was."

He hadn't really his mother and father about parenting. When they found out about Tori they were more disappointed than happy when the thought settled in. He got an hour long scolding on how parenting is and that's he's only seventeen about to be eighteen in two weeks.

"That I might be too much one way and it messes her up."

"Am afraid of going soft. I just fought in a war I died I have done so much and all that trauma is going to get to me."

"But what if it doesn't?"

"Then somethings going to happen to her. Something always happening with us and by going soft I won't be able to protect her."

"This is the best thing to ever happen to me." He says wiping a tear. "Besides you of course."

"And that if I can't find happiness in this am failing and I haven't even started yet. That I made another mistake because of my stubbornness."

"If anyone should know about family stuff it me. And trust me ending up like your abuser is something we all fear but you love her and willing to do anything as long as if it's within reason that's step one."

"You've got every right to be worried. I may not talk much about it but trust me." Leon kissed Nigel's temple wrapping tow arms around him. "I think I might be more worried than you."

"Really?"

"Totally no doubt about it." He says making Nigel giggle. "And I know it's not the best piece of advice but I think we just need to stop worrying."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah."

"If you worried about everything I don't we would have Tori right now." They both laugh at that. "You thought we would be great parents now maybe not but we will be when she needs it."

"You deserve to be happy. And this is definitely something that will make you happy."

"Changing diapers?"

"No. Making someone's life amazing by just existing." They both looked down again smiling.

"We're here because you thought this was a good idea. And I think we need to put faith in that."

They smooched each quickly and looked into the others eyes they quickly looked down again at their daughter.

She whined in her sleep as she stretched and then went limp again drooling on a bear Kuko made for her.

"And that's her vote."

Past: Father was born from a top assassin group, but hated it and became lowkey insane over the thought of becoming an assassin and killing people, so he was able to leave the group and fell in love/married a normal woman while hiding his past. Riko was born from the two, but it became clear at a young age that she was different from other kids. Her father started to become paranoid and tried to give her things and spoil her to become normal, and for a time it seemed to work as he showered her with dolls and cute clothes. However, her mother was killed by someone, and Riko just so happened to walk in to see her mother’s dead, bloody body on the floor, and as she stared shocked down, her dress becoming dirty with blood when she knelt down to wake her mother up, her father came in and saw her, immediately believing that she was the one who killed her with the blood staining her clothes. A close friend of his and still member of the assassin group listened to what the girl had to say and tried to explain to him that it wasn’t her, though slight insanity came through as he refused to believe that his daughter didn’t kill her, ending up with him straight out abandoning her and leaving her in the custody of his close friend, who raises her from young. Riko is the one who chooses to grow up to be an assassin, and allows her father to feel resentment towards her instead of trying to convince him herself as she and her now-uncle find out it was a rival assassin group that killed her mother, so she lets him resent her instead of blaming himself, as she does love her father a lot, and her love of cute things such as dolls and ribbons is because of him. This also pertains to her slight obsession with money, as both her family became in debt a few days before her mother’s death.

Génial producteur jazz funk et fuzzion, vieux compagnon de Stanley Clarke, George Duke, disparu en 2013, a rythmé mon adolesence. Le premier morceau, Broken Glass, m'a toujours fait penser un peu à Rock It d'Herbie Hancock, surgi deux ans plus tôt. Il n'a pas eu le même succès, mais il est au moins aussi efficace dans le genre synthés et boîtes à rythmes échevelées, sans le scratch mais avec chez Duke cette voix vocordée, bien dans son style. Le reste de cet album, sans titre, est plus classique, moins électro, plus jazz funk. Le suivant NIGHT AFTER NIGHT (1989) est aussi très bon.

Happy GKND day!

I didn’t forget, just sorta stuck on what to make/share.

I don’t exactly have anything new BUT

Today I’m introducing two new Galactic Kids Next Door OCs for my story!

Meet; Numbuh of the Stars! The soopreme leader of the GKND, and is the one in charge of everything.

And meet Numbuh Cosmic! Second in command for Numbuh of the Stars, and is the “showman” of the GKND (he’s very stuck up and actually pretty rude. Especially to Leon)

More information will be learned about them in the future, until then here’s what they look like.

I realized awhile ago that..I don’t really have an official ship name for Nigel and Leon. So I wanted to fix that.

I was talking to @destiny-126 and gave her some ideas about it.

One of them was “Glow” bc of Leon’s neon lights and Nigel’s fire abilities. They both glow in a way lol.

The other being “Steam” because (again) Nigel’s fire demon abilities, and Leon’s main element is water besides earth.

Then a third one being “Lava” bc same reason w/ their elements expect this time it’s Leon leaning more towards earth/his moms side.

But I still wanted it to be a way to represent everything about them.

Then Destiny brought the idea of their ship name being “LavaLamp” and the more I thought about it the more I loved the idea, so I asked her if I could use the idea which also gave me the inspiration to make this! Took longer than I expected, but I like how it turn out ^^

I like the drawing of Father holding Leon hostage. But what if both Father and Grandfather (because I want to see them both working together) try to use Leon to get to Nigel after realizing that Leon is someone special to Nigel. They basically are trying to get Nigel to join their side since it's their family's legacy is to rule Earth. And after Nigel gets knocked out after fighting his grandfather and uncle, they either let Leon go while telling him to go back his planet, or they'll make Leon watch as they make Nigel evil against his will.

First off, thank you sm! ^^ it’s one of my favorite drawings/ scenarios I’ve come up with, so it makes me happy to hear other people like it too!

But anyways-

I LIKE THIS IDEA OF GRANDFATHER BEING IN ON IT TOO

A bit off topic, but I actually have a headcanon that Grandfather is homophobic. Not because he’s a villain and all (well, part of that is true) but I imagine him being homophobic because the time period he grew up in was a time when homosexuality was still looked down upon/ not as accepting in society and I imagine Grandfather scolding Nigel for not dating “normally” (and Leon being a alien would only make it worse).

Them taking Leon hostage would definitely be something they’d do to get to Nigel. They may already hate him because he’s the enemy, but they’d hate Leon more because of the scratch + bite marks he’d give them. Leon doesn’t go down without a fight, so some blood would have been spilled before he was restrained. But anyways, Nigel would come running, most likely without even thinking of a plan, because he just wants to get Leon back as fast as he could.

Because if this (just like in op ZERO) it goes downhill quickly.

Either it doesn’t take Grandfather and Father long to restrain/ contain Nigel or they threaten to kill Leon if he doesn’t come peacefully with them. Leon would try to tell Nigel that he wasn’t worth it, but Nigel ignores him and goes with the two.

If they were to just let Leon go, Leon wouldn’t just leave without fighting to the bone to try getting back into the mansion to save Nigel.

But I imagine they would rather keep Leon with them because then more angst to force him to watch Nigel become a full demon against his will. Then both of them would be suffering

This scenario involves a lot of angst, and I fucking love it
