He always takes you to go roller blading for dates in the summers and skating in the winters

He loves to study with you at the diner his mom works at

He loves to cuddle

Like he won’t let you get out of bed in the mornings

You play for the ducks and when Charlie quit the team because of Orion you were right there next to him

He was so thankful that you stayed by him

You love to do his hair

You always go out to show his mom the master piece that you’ve created

She always love them

Charlie and the boys of the team have sleepovers at Adams house and he NEVER stops talking about you

It gets to the point where they start hitting him with pillows😂

You, Connie and Julie have sleepovers too at your house

They always want to hear about you and Charlie

But you’re more interested to see what’s happening in Julies love life

They both dismiss it and say you should call the boys so you can talk to Charlie

“Oooo~ Y/nnnn let’s call Charlieeee” Connie always says in a joking tone

“Why don’t you call Guy?~” you retort

In the mornings the team meet up and have breakfast together at the diner

Charlie always sweeps you away from the group and you two end up walking in the park or by the river

The way Charlie asked you out was before the junior Goodwill finals

“Hey Y/n can I talk to you for a minute?”

“Yeah sure what’s up?”

“So um…I know I’m not playing today but if we win…will you uh…go on a date with me?”

“We’ll see;)”

Obviously you were gonna say yes either way

He got kinda confused so he asked Julie what you meant

“Of course she likes you🙄”

He did that little fist pump thing that he did in the third movie

He took you out for ice cream

He loves to listen to music with you in his room

His love languages are definitely physical touch and quality time

You two met when you were one of the added players from Team USA

“She’s not bad…” Charlie said to Connie.

“Um hey, Y/n right?” He came up to you after the practice.

“Yeah, what’s up?”

“I’m Charlie Conway, the captain” he introduced.

“Nice to meet you captain Conway”

He just smiled as Y/n walked away and joined Connie and Julie.

What kind of holiday traditions do each of the ducks have?

Alright let's do this. I have been taking notes and I think I have everything worked out.

So, I want to start with Charlie!

We know from D1 that Charlie and his mom go to see the Ice sculptures every year. I did some research and this apparently is supposed to represent the St. Paul Winter Carnival. So, I think that is the Conway's tradition. Every year they go to the carnival. Maybe after a few years, the other Ducks join them.

Maybe Charlie takes Adam there one Christmas and they share a kiss too

Anyway! Moving on!

Every year Connie drags the boys to the Holiday Bazaar. She loves to see all the homemade gifts and try all the seasonal foods and candy. Jesse and Guy join her every year. However, all the boys on the team have joined her. Julie and Tammy love going with her too.

Russ had never had snow during the holidays until he went to Eden Hall. So, to celebrate he organized a huge snowball fight. They actually get a lot of the school involved and Russ even brings a large dispenser of hot chocolate for afterwards.

For Fulton, he loves to go and see them light the big Christmas tree on West 50th Street. He started going when he was really little and it continued until he was older. There's something magical about it for him.

Now I firmly believe that despite his hard outside exterior, Dean is a big old softie. So, I think his holiday tradition is collecting gifts for the disenfranchised kids of his area. He did it in Minnesota, too. His mom started it when he was little and he kept it going.

Adam's holiday tradition is a big dinner party. It's more of a family thing, but he still has to attend. He did manage to convince his mom to let his friends come when he was a senior in high school. He had convinced her they had matured(they had not)

Jesse like Dean is a softie on the inside. Therefore his tradition is working at a soup kitchen with his dad and Terry on Christmas Eve. He does it every year cause it makes him feel like he's doing something valuable for his community.

Averman is a simple man with simple pleasures. So, his holiday tradition is simple. He watches Christmas Vacation with his dad. His dad showed him the movie when he was five and he loves it.

I firmly believe Guy is the cookie baker. So every year he bakes a huge batch of Christmas cookies. They give them out to friends and charities around them. His favorite is gingerbread and it is a family recipe.

Julie has always thrown a Christmas Eve party with her family. In Maine, they would go to a cabin. However, she also threw one in Minnesota the weekend before winter break. They used Bombay's cabin and Adam said it was so much more fun than his parent's party.

Goldberg spent the first year in Minnesota reminding everyone that there were more holidays than Christmas in December. It actually made a big impact on his friends and they all stopped at his house during the 8 days of Hannukah to give him a gift. It became a tradition from then. They would meet up before his family did the candle lighting. He would tell everyone the story of Hannukah and they would exchange gifts.

Kenny is stoked to go ice skating on a real pond the first holiday he is in Minnesota. He loves it so much that he does it every year. He didn't tell the others at first. However, Luis asked where he was going one day and he invited him along.

Luis' tradition is all about food. Every year when he was in Miami his family would make tamales. When he was in Minnesota his mama would save a few to make with him when he came home for the holidays. However, it wasn't the same for Luis, so the Ducks got involved. Guy invited him to his house while his dad was making cookies and Kenny had called Luis' mom to get a list of the ingredients needed for Tamales. Luis was so touched he cried and it became a tradition from there.

Dwayne is the one who decorates the whole dorm building. He loves the holidays and they would always decorate his family ranch. So, it was just natural for him to decorate the place. It's rather cozy.

hates ushering because of the amount of older people and classmates that are rude to her. box office can be similar but she only has to deal with a rude customer once in a while, so it’s a lot chiller

Van Palmer

I wholeheartedly believe she worked in a movie theater pre-crash, by sheer proximity of her little video store in the adult timeline. TaiVan movie theater dates are real to me </3

gets sleeby at box office but enjoys ushering and concessions because there’s the most to do. Definitely doesn’t sneak Tai and Nat in through the back of the theater and slip away from work to visit them

Mindy Meeks-Martin

She would eat UP those free/discounted movie tickets working at a movie theater gives you. She def used that to take Tara and Amber to see Nope 🫶

video stores are dead (rip) so this is the self fulfilling Meeks prophecy (gotta fill out those parallel the original requirements y’know). Had a ill-fated co-worker romance as is tradition

Randy Meeks

He worked at one for, like, a summer, and decided he liked working at the video store WAY more (why get free theater tickets when you gets discounts on renting movies you can watch over and over again?)

Liked box office the most so he could talk to customers about their movie choices, either complimenting them on their taste or maybe not-so-silently judge them. Stu, Sidney, and Tatum (occasionally just Stu and Billy) would always come to his theater to terrorise him (lovingly)

Richie Kirsch

also eats up those free movie tickets. felt bad about not giving money to the franchise he loves when he went to see Stab 8 but after leaving the theater furious and disappointed, his tune about that def changed

Richie’s capable of being a charming (if not awkward) guy, so he definitely did great at being a greeter. Richie in the box office is pretty similar to Randy, enthusiastically talking to customers about the movies they’re seeing (though he’s a little more quiet with his disapproval lmao). He’s the epitome of “if you see me at work, do not trust that mf. That’s work Richie. I go to work, put on a smile, and just black out.” me fr

Tabby Hawthorne

another canon one but she and Mouse are the only mfs I could stand in this show and I can confirm local small theaters don’t do background checks smh 🤦 if you or a person you know has been personally victimized by a weird male employee at your local movie theater you may be entitled to financial compensation

Lester Averman

I was about to say Guy but then I remembered Averman canonically worked at a theater in D2!!!!

I’m gonna assume he worked at someplace big and fancy like AMC, so he probably shifted between concessions, greeter, and usher. BITCHES about working usher (his co-workers are so sick of him fr) because despite doing hockey, the soreness half way through a shift is real. Gets put up front as greeter the most, snoozes whenever he’s put in box office. He likes working concessions the best (and definitely doesn’t steal food from the company)

Guy Germaine (+ Connie Moreau)

fuck it, these two join Averman next summer at the movie theater and terrorise their co-workers by being so obnoxiously in love (martial problems? Never heard of her)

Guy is a naturally charming greeter (to Averman’s eternal annoyance) and customers absolutely adore him. Connie can’t be in box office anymore because she refuses to take shit from rude customers (and Guy just gets mildly annoyed, and Connie jumps to his defense). So now Connie just bounces between the different shifts, kinda favours ushering because she finds it (mostly) chill.

Eric Bemis

Eric is a concessions guy and if he works at a big theater like AMC he’s certifiably insane, I hate that part I hate it here. Definitely can get overwhelmed by it but he prefers it over the strain of working usher and the rude people are mostly up at box office and he’d end up so anxious, he’d let minors into R-rated movie. Rip king fly high 😔🕊

Upon watching the TMD movies so many times, I’ve noticed that Les Averman is probably a lot smarter than he seems.

Like in D2 when he was correcting Dwayne on how to say Rodeo Dr. Or in D3 when they were talking about playing a prank on the varsity and says like, “every action must have an equal, if not greater, reaction.” And it’s literally making me spiral because my boy is so smart, he just probably acts stupid on purpose because he thinks it’s funny.

Like imagine the team thinks he’s failing all his classes and their like, “how has Coach Orion not gotten mad you yet?” And turns out he has all A’s cause he’s just good like that

He’s literally a genius but pretends to be stupid because he thinks that’s the only way to make other people laugh-

What would each Ducks favorite Halloween-themed movie be? Like, who's watching Casper or Coraline or Friday the 13th?

Ok so I know it took me a while to respond to this, but thank you for waiting! Without further ado!

Ok so I started this by breaking down who can decide horror and who can't. I feel like Goldberg refuses anything too scary. Guy will watch horror movies, but they're not his favorite. Everyone else can handle real horror.

Kenny: I am starting off with Kenny cause I headcanon that he is a horror movie buff. He loves all things horror and Halloween. To the point that people outside his circle sometimes think he's a witch. So, as far as movies he loves everything. However, his two favorite films are Ju-on: The Grudge and Hellraiser. He does like the remake of The Grudge, but the orginal japanese verison is his favorite. As far as Hellraiser, he loves the monster design. It was the first movie to really distrub him.

Adam: Adam, Julie, Kenny, and Connie have horror movies marathons every halloween. Adam's favorite movies are paranormal horror. He is a big fan of what you don't see is scarier than what you do see. So his favorite movie is The Haunting (1963), but he also loves The Changeling (1980) because of the mystery of it. Adam also favors older horror movies.

Julie: Julie loves zombie movies! Her favorite is the original Dawn of the Dead. She is adament it is the best zombie movie because it gave so much to the modern day zombie. Besides that she also loves 28 Days Later because of how it changed up the genre and made zombies fast and more dangerous. She is one of the few people who will watch anything.

Connie: Connie is a fan of scream queens and women led movies. Her two favorite films are Carrie and Halloween. She has alot of sympathy for Carrie and cheered at the revenge scene. As for Halloween, it was the first movie to actually scare her. She loves Jamie Lee Curtis and the scene where Michael comes back up after she stabs him will forever chill her.

Jesse: Jesse isn't really afaird of horror movies and he likes them more for the stories and actors. His two favorite horror movies are Candyman and Day of the Dead. He loves that Day of the Dead was so revolutionary. His favorite part of Candyman is the visuals. He thinks it scary, but in a stylistic way.

Dean: Dean loves gory horror movies! His favorite ones are Nightmare on Elm Street and The Thing. He is the kind of person who gets hyped by these kind of movies. Like he is on the edge of his seat but he's also grinning.

Averman: Averman and Russ are total horror comedy fans. For Averman his two favorite are Beetlejuice and Young Frankenstein. He likes the wit and humor that comes with these movies. He will also quote beetlejuice constantly.

Russ: As for Russ, his two favorite movies are The Game and Scooby Doo on Zombie Island. He loves the music of Scooby Doo and how unnerving it is for a kids movie. When it comes to The Game, he loves how it messes with the main character. He will literally laugh at the end of the movie.

Luis: Luis only has one favorite horror movie. It is The Devil's Backbone. He watched it originally in spanish. It is his favorite cause it covers real horror like war. It also has a mystery which he likes. He and Kenny are the foreign horror movie fans so they often give each other suggestions.

Fulton: I can see Fulton being a slasher fan. He is a simple man and his two favorite movies are classic slashers. Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street. He and Dean have had several debats on who is the superior slasher.

Dwayne: Dwayne likes corny horror movies. His two favorite horror movies are Killer Clowns from Outer Space and Gremlins. He likes how out there the movies are. He also enjoys more family friendly halloween movies like Casper. He cried when the dad gets revived.

Charlie: Charlie likes ghost horror movies for halloween. His two favorite are The Sixth Sense and The Shining. He really enjoys how they show the ghosts. He will watch almost anything except excessive gore.

Goldberg: Goldberg can't stand scary movies. So he favors family friendly halloween movies. His favorite is It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. He finds it heartwarming. Other than that he loves Halloweentown and wishes he could actually go there.

Guy: Guy is a romantic through and through so his halloween movies have a touch of romance. So his two favorites are The Addams Family and Corpse Bride. He loves Gomez and Morticia and it makes him laugh. The Corpse Bride made him cry.

I feel like they all watch certain movies together like Hocus Pocus, but that's more about spending tiem with each other.

Les and Y/N walked across the bridge. They enjoyed their ice cream and walked side by side. They weren’t holding hands, but would occasionally bump shoulders. Averman was grateful for this, for the little bit of their warmth he gets to experience.

“Look at the sky,” they suddenly gasped. He tried to switch his gaze from them to the sky. It was the perfect sight, it’s light ending slowly. With vibrant reds and oranges blazing through the sky, Y/N didn’t think the night could get better.

But Averman just couldn’t stop staring at them. The way their skin seemed to glow against the sun. Hell, maybe they were the sun. They might as well had been, with the way they shined.

Averman went silent, wonder quietly. He wondered if they saw it.

“You smile like an idiot when talking to them,” Connie had teased.

“Just kiss them, you idiot!” is what Dean had shouted.

He wanted to know if they saw the way he stared when they weren’t looking. He wondered if they knew how their beautiful could compare to even the brightest sunsets.

“Les?” Their voice cut into his thoughts. He looked up, seeing the way they gazed at him. Their eyes were wide with concern, a bit of concern lingering. God, their eyes.

“Yeah?” That’s all he could come up with at the time.

“You okay? You’re awfully quiet.”

“Yeah,” he chuckled, setting his cup of ice cream on the edge of the railing. Y/N smiled and reached over to grab his hand. Les perked up. The slight touch of their hand sent sparks flying through his skin.

“What’s what for?” Les asked. Y/N shrugged.

“Anything, everything.” They squeezed his hand tighter.

There was silence for a moment while they looked at each other. It was tense, but oh so sweet. Dean’s voice echoed through Averman’s head.

“Just kiss them, you idiot!”

So he did. It was quick and hesitant on his part. He gave Y/N no time to react before he pulled away, worried he had messed up. But the look of surprise only formed into a smile.

They grabbed the sides of his face gently, pressing their lips to his. This time it was passionate, fueled by what can only be described as want. It was like hugging the sun while standing on the moon. It was so warm, but left him breathless.

Y/N pulled away, eyes unable to open. When they finally did, they were met with green eyes shining with excitement, maybe even a little hint of pride. They smiled, seeing the goofy look Les had on his face.

Les giggled childishly.

“What was that for?” Y/N asked. Les shrugged.

“Anything, everything.”

There was a silence again, Y/N’s attention going back to the sunset.

“Hey Y/N?” Les asked. They hummed sweetly.

“I really like you,” he told them. They looked over and grinned.

“You told me,” they chuckled. Les smiled.

“I know. Just wanted to remind you.”

This made Y/N laugh a hearty laugh. It was contagious, making Averman chuckle. They turned on their heel, meeting him face to face. Les gave them a goofy grin. They rolled their eyes and held his face again.

“Just kiss me, you fool!”
