Libba/Abigail for number 12

SFW 12. Can they stand silence? Who talks the most? Who talks the least?

• For the most part, yes. Libbagail knows when to be quiet and when to listen or relax. They also can stay silent in competition, but have conversations with their stares and body language much like Bellcollar does, but a lot more tuned and refined since they've known each other longer. I also have a small headcanon of them actually being childhood friends way before they were taught to rival and dislike each other and formed some sort of secret code between them since then, so they don't always need to be vocally speaking to each other to have comversations. It's very handy out in the field but is also pretty handy domestically. Sometimes Libba will silently turn to reach for something and Abigail is already handing it over to her.

• Between the two, Libba is the most talkative. Abigail holds her tongue and sits in her thoughts whereas Libba has to voice all her feelings in order to form her opinions, once she has her opinions, she needs everyone to know it. She'll even push them on unsuspecting cadets. Everyone has to know how Libba feels about things. Its kinda born from her need to be known, and a bit of a chip on her shoulder from being the lesser known family compared to the Bellweathers. Abigail knows this and allows Libba that space to rant.

• Abigail thinks more before she speaks. If she's gonna say something, she has to say it right. The lines of love and hate have been blurred way too much between them and Abigail has grown sensitive to how her words land with someone she cares about. She's made mistakes before and is learning to be better about it.

Hello, I am really glad I found this page and could read many interesting theories within the Motherland universe. Earlier today I came across a post regarding "Scylla Ram's horn" and was really fasinated by what I read and I found it interesting that in real life Amalia's zodiac sign is Aries which has the symbol of a Ram (a good coincidence maybe?), this made me wonder if the characters of the Motherland universe are all influenced by their zodiac signs (within the show or irl) in some or the other way. I couldn't find any articles or snippets regarding the birthdays of Raelle, Scylla, Abigail, Tally or anyone else's. Would love to know your take on this, what do you feel the zodiac signs of each characters would be in the Mortherland universe?

From Dan via the MFSRI Discord: I personally take Raelle as an Aries and this is my logic: Aries is the baby of the zodiac. They’re impulsive and rash in their decision making, they’re bullheaded and stubborn and when they love they love fiercely. You fuck with an Aries trust, you have to work HARD to gain it back. They throw themselves into situations headfirst, very ‘I'll consider the consequences later’. All of that to me is very indicative of our baby girl Raelle. I would put her as an early Aries, probably March 21st or second.

Abigail to me reads as a Leo with her natural born leader tendencies and very much liking attention and thriving off it. Sex and attention are part of her weaponry and when that’s taken away from her, when she’s not in control, she feels powerless and weak. Very Leo energy, probably around Aug 10 or so.

Tally to me is an earth sign but I’m less set on what it would be. She’s grounded and centered for the most part and anchors the fire signs around her. Maybe a Virgo but definitely undecided.

And to me, Scylla comes across as a Sagittarius more than an Aries, and that would work considering Sag’s and Aries are generally extremely compatible signs. They’re travelers generally so it would suit Scylla’s restless spirit, and they crave knowledge and truth and become sort of unstuck without it. They butt heads with Leos because Sag’s are generally clever and know it, so aren't afraid to take on the confident Leo. (I.e. Scylla and Abigail's headbutting?)  They’re witty and blunt, often to a fault, but they love fiercely and seek someone to join their adventures.

All in all, I think it would track that Raelle, Abigail, and Scylla are all firesigns with the way they interact with one another and Scylla leaps at me as a mutable firesign. So yeah. Tally would say Virgo and if not maybe a Libra, but I would have to do some more digging.

@giant-cat-thing: I thought Raelle could be a Scorpio. Because of her curiosity for the mysterious dark, and her tendency to do things that can be hurtful for her own self. Also because Scorpios are very introspective and they are great with empathy. (But I do agree with Dan about Aries's, they're stubborn and not very open about their feelings when they're with other people. But I stand by my belief she should be a Scorpio, for her connection with the Necro side of the world.) I think even Taylor said in an interview she pictured Raelle as a Scorpio? I only remember it because I said a loud "fuck yes, me too!", But maybe she was unsure about the whole Scorpio/Aries thing.

I agree on Abigail being a Leo. She's a great example of a Leo. I don't really have something to say about it. lol

Tally to me is a Cancer. Because cancer is, in my opinion, one of the most gentle signs of the zodiac. Very emphatic, but they also know how to strike their enemy in the perfect spot when they want to. Every cancer I met was a sweetheart and an optimistic person. She could also be a Taurus, but I think Taurus people are more grounded than Tally is. (Oh! She could also be a Libra! Libras are very carefree and equilibrated. But when they lose that, they can be many questionable things....lol I love Libras.)

To me, Scylla could be an Aries. Because every Aries I studied is very charming and loyal, like Scylla is. Loyal to a cause, to a person, to a family. Sarcastic, gentle but only to whom they like, and direct. (Sagittarius is also a great possibility for Scylla to. What's sure is that Scylla is a fire sign, 100%.)

But here's the thing. I think Anacostia could be the perfect definition of Sagittarius. Because I truly think Sagittarius is the "moral compass" of the zodiac. They're righteous, they want to do what's right and when they decide they wanna do something, it's very, very difficult to stop them. Also, it's difficult to earn back a Sag trust. When they're hurt, they question many things. (The same counts for questioning others, or methods. And this is what Anacostia did during the end S1/doing right now. So, yeah, I would go with Sagittarius. And that's also why she gets Scylla, if we consider Scylla an Aries. For signs get along very well, in my opinion.)

I think Alder could be a Gemini. Because, hah, yeah, she has many Gemini qualities. Good with her words, good with her charisma, she knows what to show to others and when, and she doesn't like being controlled or not knowing things.

Is this a full rant about zodiac signs? Yes, yes it is.
