Mort, by Terry Pratchett
"Night rolled onwards across the Disc. It was always there, of course, lurking in the shadows and holes and cellars, but as the slow light of day drifted after the sun the pools and lakes of night spread out, met and merged. Light on the Discworld moves slowly because of the vast magical field.
Light on the Discworld isn't like light elsewhere. It's grown up a bit, it's been around, it doesn't feel the need to rush everywhere. It knows that however fast it goes the darkness always gets there first, so it takes it easy."

Currently reading: Babel by R.F. Kuang

Details of what else I’ve read recently below :)
After having read A Curse for True Love (it was pretty good, but TBONA holds the crown for best in the series in my opinion) I read the first volume of Yona of the Dawn, and The Ancient Magus’ Bride. Ended up liking that so I’m currently up to volume 12 on Mangadex, and just returned volume 3 of Yona of the Dawn to the library. I always love finding manga I enjoy reading.
I’m 4% of the way into Babel and I really like it so far! Seems to be just what I was looking for after failing to get interested in The Apology by Jimin Han, and Happy Place by Emily Henry. The Apology seems really good, it just wasn’t what I was in the mood for at the time, and Happy Place didn’t really grab my attention, so I probably won’t pick it back up again.

Was enjoying this so much that I decided to pick up the paperback version yesterday! It came in handy as my copy on Libby was due back last night and I still have around 200 pages left.

Since finishing Scythe in February, I read ThunderHead and The Toll.
What the fuck!!! Such a good trilogy. I don’t know what to do with myself now. Also, The Toll really threw me for a loop at the end of it. The last 50 pages had me at the edge of my seat, tearing up, pissed off, and just FEELING. I just finished it about an hour ago so still waiting to stop reeling tbh.
