#g o d what is up with my brain thats been making everything so hard recently #like. im in a job that im MUCH happier with now and loving it. im no longer living a waking trauma nightmare as a call center sup #...why is my brain acting like im forcing it on a trek through fucking mordor just trying to get through a normal day at work #im on break from school. why am i not able to do any of the things that i wanted to do during the semester but was too busy for #why am i not able to do anything that i want to do and if i DO manage to do it why am i not able to enjoy it #why am i living like every moment of my life in fear that im wasting my time or doing something wrong or not good enough #and like i KNOW the answers are adhd and depression and anxiety #but my buddy. my pal. @ the wrinkly fleshy thing in my skull #im on 6 different psychiatric medications with a total of up to 11 individual pills per day. im actively in therapy and have been for years #and my life is currently much better than it maybe has ever been! WHY am i still struggling so hard 😭 #like i know recovery isnt a straight line and etc etc but like. it just feels like im doing everything im 'supposed' to do so what gives #so. gonna start drinking more plants i guess and see if that helps. im already on some that seem to help but i think i need more now #bc im having a bad time in my brain prison tbh :( #im not even like upset typing all this out either im just like. bewildered. incredulous. exhausted #lets hope this new overpriced tea fixes me i guess #rambling

Magnus waking up in the middle of the night, checking up on their children, going back to bed and looking at his husband and having a little panic attack because he thinks he's not worthy of their love and thinking about how one day Alec will be gone and he'll be lonely once again. (sorry)

oof. I'm not really a fan of children but :( (not as in in general, i mean like, Having Children in the traditional family model) i do love the idea of this angst. like Alec is all tired and sleeby already lying down in bed kind of just grumbling around wanting Magnus to hop in bed. so Magnus does and as soon as he's under the covers Alec just hugs him and immediately starts spooning, all over Magnus' back like a koala or something. Magnus chuckles and pecks his lips and says goodnight and Alec grumbles something and immediately falls asleep. Magnus laughs again, turns off the light, and immediately thinks he's either gonna abandon me or die and I'll miss him so much for all eternity and every moment that passes is a moment i lose. and he's just panicking thinking about how little shadowhunters usually live and how he has no idea what could happen and how much time has he been losing? how long does he have? he doesn't deserve him anyway, doesn't deserve this, this warmth and calm domestic happiness and intimacy. when will he fuck this up? it's only a matter of time. and suddenly he's hyperventilating and feeling smothered in Alec's arms instead of calmed down because its so much and he's so overwhelmed and he doesn't deserve it. and Alec wakes up with Magnus struggling to breathe and hes like "baby, baby, what's wrong?" and Magnus just pulls him impossibly close like he's afraid he's gonna slip away and aaaa

obviously he calms down eventually, alec's presence always soothing in its solidness, and Alec just holds him through it as he reminds him to breathe. and he feels so ridiculous afterwards, because why was he panicking like this, what the hell, nothing even happened, he was having a good day. hell, he was having a good week, he had been feeling so well and suddenly this? and he's kind of scared like, what if it'll always be like this, what if i'll never get to heal and stop thinking i dont deserve what i have

obviously recovery isnt a straight line etc and it happens but you know, those fun post-spiral spirals that we love 🙃 but either way he breathes and calms himself down and Alec holds him and asks him what happened, and Magnus doesn't want to tell him, because he doesn't want Alec to feel bad for him over something he can't control (i mean jokes on him cuz Alec can and will become immortal but you know). but Alec doesn't push, he's just like "okay, okay, you dont have to tell me, but whatever it is, im here for you, all your friends are here for you, you're safe" and it's of course exactly what he needed to hear.... and he ends up falling asleep hugging Alec, all tangled up in his arms and rocking slightly to soothe himself until he falls into a dreamless sleep, warm and tired you know

(and later he tells Alec/his friends/his therapist about this, about how he feels like hes never gonna recover and this is gonna keep happening. and they're like "you let Alec take care of you, didn't you? you told him about it? you allowed yourself to cry and you didnt apologize and you didnt worry that he'd be mad at you for waking him up? that's growth. that's recovery". and its nice)

I beat my time from last week 🤷‍♀️ I was secretly wanting to, but not trying at all because I wanted this race to be an “easy going recovery run”. I had to keep reminding myself to not run it like a race and hold back the entire time because my brain knows how my brain works. “This isnt a race. This isn’t a race. This isn’t a race.” I didn’t run with anyone and I wasn’t sure what pace to group myself into so I found a spot between the 9min/milers and 11min/milers and settled in. My plan is always to “just go and don’t stop” which isn’t very smart so I usually find someone keeping a good pace and follow them but I gained and lost so many people along this course that it got kinda quiet, boring and lonely out there (I didn’t use headphones). I found two guys running with a stroller and talking about their Chicago marathon times and I stayed behind them for a while but lost them when I made the mistake of grabbing water which threw me off (why!!!). I caught back up and passed them by the end. The course itself was pretty straight away but the elevation was a steady incline and decline which was annoying because I was told it was a flat course and I hope whoever told me that enjoys sitting on their throne of lies. Nothing sucks more than slowly shuffling uphill for a mile and telling yourself all you have to do is not. stop.

The whole race felt like a good warmup (again). I was truly ready to run by the end of it🙃 I picked up the pace for the last .10 miles or so and when I did that I thought to myself that I probably could have ran the whole race fast and beat my time by so much but instead I decided to play it smart (sad face). Even though 3.1 is a short distance it’s also considered an endurance event. So when I start running fast I have to remind myself that if I run that pace, I also have to sustain that pace and the last thing I want is to be stupid and work too hard and end in a catastrophe fighting for air (even in a short distance).

The temperature felt fine for me at the beginning but towards the end it felt like I was running in a furnace of flames and I had to keep telling myself not to fidget with my jacket, my gloves, my hat, pull at my leggings etc because all I wanted to do was start stripping down but it’s such a short race that there wasn’t a point until I crossed the finish line. But the heat was real. I stopped for a second or two to take my gloves off and take a few walking steps (I’m annoyed I did that). I passed some people as I sprinted across the finish line with a big “Wooooo!” arms up Rocky Balboa style. But the finish line was pretty quiet and there was no one there cheering (those bastards) so I guess I have too much energy for this. And of course no one was on the other side of the finish line for me (bummer) so I crossed and made a B line to the grass where I peeled off my clothes and keeled over in the grass. I stood at the finish line for ten minutes looking for anyone I knew and decided to backtrack through the course to find some. I walked the opposite direction of the runners, cheering people on and telling them they were almost there, when I ran into a couple newbie runners I knew who were walking and decided to finish with them. I cheered and pumped them up as they started running towards the finish setting their own PR’s. Overall, a nice event and I’m stoked for my upcoming 10k on Thanksgiving. This is my comeback, bitches. (I came in 10th out of 100 in my age group and 565 out of 2,800 and ran a 9:24 pace)

Not a fan myself but….I want to encourage more submissions and at the least this is showing lots of effort and points of reference to wide fandom discussion and their feelings.

korrasami was aforced ship there was no actual build up for it korrasami shippers like to use the car scene or blush ( when korra blushes at compliments she blushed at bolins compliment ) and there was actual evidence and chemistry for makorra in contrast to korrasami. in b3 and b4 there was actual chemistry  and we got to see mako talk about korra the person while asami talked about korra the avatar. or how we actually got  the camera zoom in and music swell at mako and korras hugh to highlight importance kXa shippers bring up asami bbeing with korra at b3 ending claiming that we would see it if asami was a man but in reality no we wouldnt. (not to mention while she smiled with her dad , the air babies and bolin suggestion of pen pals she didnt smile at them) heck the break up scene in b2 finale even hinted at them still having feelings and getting back together with the I will always love you line. not to mention that both korra and mako over came the flaws which led to their breakup  which wasnt due to a lack of compatabiltiy but due to certain flaws like  korra expecting an echo chamber from mako basically mako being so afraid of conflict that he disappoints everyone his tendency to avoid conflict  and I am sickened by the demonization of mako claiming that it was just that he ends single for he made a couple mistakes in the relationship department in book 1 and they claim he was a creators pet or gary stu. which is bs makorra was handled well (people like to claim it was only a couple wekks when it was months there was a noticeable change of seasons

Now personally I think Korrasami is one of those mixed blessings.  Yeah kids show went there but its as sudden and shallow as existing hetero relationships.  I DO think the build up was there but its unsatisfying because, like any anime, its not there much post confession and its more teases.

This is especially, for me, because I REALLY didn’t like the character of Asami or get everyone’s deal with her. She seemed to exist to be Best Girl and… that it. My biggest disappointment was the closing of her arc with the death of her father and then, surprise, another love plot.  

Overall though I can’t devote much dislike for the relationship as a whole so much as a connected but not causative (Gabrielle and Janet did have some decent chemistry and there were possibilities) phenomenon of “the men suck so GO Muh Lesbians” which so underlies my experience with the idea I can understand OTHERS attributing the change as “pandering” 

However, ultimately, I’m just over it.  For some its meaningful even if not all that.  And considering into Fangbone AND Sailor Moon when I know there is more challenging or at least advanced if not better fare?  I should just accept it.

I am not anti- Korrasami so much as against anti-Mako (and Makorra) and really its a simpler but more nested problem as I think people latched onto Asami as one of the characters who… lets say retained her potential untainted for many fans.  But for me she was more of a waste than Mako ended up for me by the time he became a cop and not just Edward Cullen if he was from a K-drama.  S2 fixed him so much for me but thats also when the hatchet was put into play and then S3 started and…it hurt how I could see they were handling the ex-boyfriend (and way WAY WAY buttering up this Suddenly Sisterhood of Korra and Asami

My boss graciously offered to find group insurance for all of her employees and she is willing to pay 50% of the premiums. I was involved in a minor accident while driving my mother-in-law's car. I am on her policy, so assumed I would be covered, but was just told that I might not be because I was driving for work. My boyfriend has had an insurance policy with an SR-22 on it for almost a year. It expires in 6 days. He was driving my car to work and got into an accident that was his fault. My car has barely any damage and I don't think the other car was severely damaged. My mom has an insurance policy on my car ( I live with her) But since my boyfriend was driving and he has insurance with the SR-22 doesn't that mean that it will go on his insurance? Isn't that the exact reason he had to have the SR-22 in the first place? So in case he screwed up (which he did) than it would be covered in any car he drives? Thanks.
