"For a moment all of me is alive and at home in the sea.." I first started this one back in 2019 - and then all my Elsas came in the way of finishing her. I often came back to her and did redo her face a couple of times actually, you can see some different versions of her in my work in progress story highlights on instagram. I guess I did lose interest after a while but now, 3 years later, she finally got her finished look! So here she is: Melody! Consider her as more of a designer version - the top actually even is from a designer Ariel doll. I also wanted to do a slightly older version of her, while still keeping an idea of her signature look. So, I've decided to try my hand at creating a Morgana themed expansion inspired by the Villainous game series. I got into it last year, and I absolutely love the varied mechanics at play for each character. - In essence, this is a personal graphic design/illustration project I wanted to do based on a love for the game and The Little Mermaid (the sequel, Return to the Sea, in particular here). - So for now I've done a Morgana piece that shows her off in a visual. This is also the design for the Villain guide, and I ended up using the illustration to also conceptualise an expansion box, using Venom's from the Marvel version as a base. - Still working out the rules and plays for the objective I have as well as what movie scenes I'll be recreating...I even have a 5k document with all my planning on it, so that's fun. I got inspired by www.instagram.com/c_art_y/ Disney Princess Modern Outfits series so I decided to make my own entry! This is Melody (Ariel’s Daughter from Little Mermaid 2) in her modern outfit! Not bad for my first time drawing Melody. (Honestly, I did screw up a few times while drawing her. 1) her hair was hard to master but it was an easy fix. 2) I tried to draw scales on her leggings to represent her mermaid tail but that backfired so I made them into waves, again, an easy fix. 3) I completely messed up her locket, LOL)
