I didn't know which moment of the three of them to add in this recap, but I decided on this, because the shot is perfect and the way she is smiling and the two of them walking behind, is perfect and I love seeing the three of them together again 😍

She is so precious, and I love her confidence in this scene, because she already knew about the party and knew what it was that they were trying to hide 🤭

Lucy was so excited, but worried about looking surprised that she ended up not knowing how to act and everyone realized that she already knew 😂

And it is, but taking care of Lucy so she doesn't feel sad is even more her thing 🤷🏻‍♀️

And that's exactly what I've been telling you, if taking care of Lucy meant letting her know about the surprise so that she would stop feeling ignored by her family, then Kate was going to tell her

How lovely it is to see them enjoying being all together again 🥺😭 they are my favorite group of people.

You know that moment when a scene is perfect and you think nothing could make it better, but then a 3 second shot makes everything better? This is that shot, because there is so much behind it. It might seem like a simple thing, but I can't help but think about how Kate didn't want a public relationship, how she wanted to keep everything between them and now she's giving her girlfriend smooches in front of the family 🥰

"It means you're home."

In my previous post I commented on the fact that Kate says, she says Lucy is home, and I want to talk about the fact that Ernie says the same thing when he receives Lucy's gift. It shows love, obviously the love Ernie has for Lucy is that of an older brother but I'm talking about the feeling of family. Kate says it because Lucy has become her home, but Ernie does it because Lucy is his baby sister, he loves and protects her and she does the same with him, I don't know how else to explain it other than to say Ernie is the one who loves her the most within the team, by this I don't mean that the others don't love her. It's just that Ernie loves her more 😌.

1. From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series

I know I’m gonna get dragged for this, but this has been my opinion for years ever since I stepped foot in the fdtd tumblr fandom... The Kisa and Kate war thing is just ridiculous. And bashing people for having siding with either of them and saying they’re wrong to like either of them too is ridiculous when literally they’re fictional characters and these characters ain’t that deep. Like I feel like people take it too personally when the real person to blame is the writers who wrote them that way. I love both the characters and I feel like I’m the only one in the fandom that’s playing at an even field here lol because I know that both of them aren’t good and aren’t perfect, but I’m out here having fun imagining them being best buds going on a girls road trip with Kalinda, Dakota, and Maggie :p

2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Not gonna lie, ever since Dawn showed up in s5, I’ve always found her very, very annoying and never liked the plot of Buffy all-of-a-sudden having a sister.

3. Stranger Things

Definitely felt like they could’ve handled s4 better in the ending after they left Eddie in the upside down instead of just showing him dying and then flashing up “two days later.” Also, the Steve/Nancy thing they were pulling, I didn’t like it at all.

4. Kingdom Hearts

... Remember when the first game was about a boy who wanted to leave the island and travel to other worlds (disney worlds)? Yeah, that was a simple story. ‘Cause like right after that, I really felt like... that series became a cash cow for Square. Because right after that game, they came out with Chain of Memories for the Game Boy Advance and not the ps2, and then the sequel came out for the ps2, but then Birth by Sleep and Re:Coded and 358/2 Days came out for the psp and Nintendo DS, and then Dream Drop Distance for the Nintendo 3DS, KHX for mobile phones, 0.2 and KH3 for ps4, and I don’t even know what KH4 is gonna be on, but it’s like I just never liked that they wanted to have these games on consoles that nobody has?? Like it’s just something that has bugged me for 20 years, like why not keep it simple and have it on like a main console brand like playstation? Like imo, I thought that they were making up these other stories just to have them for specific consoles for like a cash grab instead of having a coherent storyline that makes sense. And with KH3, I was expecting Sora’s story to be over-over, not go back to how it was in the ending of the first game where Sora and Kairi are separated AGAIN, in order for the story to keep going. Like right when the news broke out about kh4, I was happy and excited, but I wasn’t all too thrilled because I feel like it’ll be this never-ending cycle where Sora’s story is said to end, but it will never end. I will say though that the fans that kept pushing the developers to finish kh3 and kept asking when will it be released, that wasn’t cool at all. Like they don’t know how much work the devs put into to creating a game, and for them to demand it, that wasn’t right and I felt bad for the devs.

5. Yellowjackets (SPOILERS AHEAD)

S2 was not as good as s1. I felt like everything was rushed to answer almost everything, while there’s still important things left unanswered. Natalie being the antler queen???? And then having her killed off while she was also a recovering addict was just a wrong move. She was literally the most sane character in this story, and now the most sane person is gone. I don’t even know if I wanna watch it anymore after that because she was the strongest character and my favorite, and I had high hopes for her. I was hoping s2 was all just a dream because it all felt like one big joke to me. There was no mystery, no thrill, nothing that left me hanging wanting more like s1 did where there was one mystery after the next that doesn’t reveal itself. And I also didn’t like the Misty/Walter thing, like it was cute, but it also got on my nerves idk how to explain it lmao 😂

I felt like I was rambling through this 🤣 But yeah, those are my unpopular opinions.

A few weeks ago I made the trek to visit one of my dear friends Kate's house so we could crawl up in her attic and see what kind of shit was up there. She believed a Kenner Blythe may be amongst the treasure, which prompted her to invite me. Sadly, no Kenner but we didn't leave empty handed.

And one of the treasures was a Penny Playpal Doll.

I didn't even know these dolls existed until Kate pulled her from one of the piles in the attic. Despite that, as soon as she dragged her huge body out for me to see and asked "do you want her?" How could I say no? She is so charming and reminds me so much of the my size barbie I loved in my own youth, I def wanted to take her home.

But she was SO GROSS. Nearly everything in the attic was covered in a layer of dirt, cob webs, dust, mouse poop, bug corpses, you name it. She was so grimy I had to throw her in the trunk to take her home. This was the first picture I took of her, which is kind of hilarious because it looks like something from a straight up horror movie.

She was so gross that I even had to make a special trip to target to buy her a special containment case to house her until I was ready to clean her lul

Washing her was an experience. It truly did feel like I was cleaning a small child. 🙃 I filled the plastic tub full of water and dish soap and got to work.

Once I had given her body the first scrub I took her to the kitchen to wash her hair. Her hair is pretty gross, very brittle and balding in spots, but it's not horrible. Kate told me when she was little she messed with her hair a few times so I'm not sure if it was ever cut. If it was, baby Kate did a great job keeping it even loooool.

I used baby shampoo for her head. He hair is still pretty stiff, but there are no more bug carcasses so I'm counting it as a win. 😇

She was already looking much better at this point, but this is also where I messed up. 😞 I had been avoiding submerging her because I knew she was hollow and didn't want to fill her water. However her legs were still pretty dirty and I wanted to soak them and her grimy hands a bit longer to help get some of the more stubborn dirt off. In doing so I left her to soak, thinking dipping just her bottom half would not cause a problem. Boy was I wrong!

She was decidedly heavier when I picked her up from her soak, her whole bottom half full of water. I've drained most of it at this point (thank you mommy blogs for giving tips on getting water out of toys) and I think she will be ok. I hope so at least because I would be heart broken if she got moldy. 😭

She did sure look cute sitting in the tub though looooool.

Anyway, I still have some work to do on her. I'm working now on removing the staining on her face and will continue trying to dry her out. All in all, errors and all, I am having a lot of fun cleaning her up. I love you miss Penelope, and I'm glad you are home with me! 💖😘😻

I also did some work on a Barbie and Midge doll Kate asked me to clean up, more on them in the future. ✨

I. 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 --- I'm definitely giving Painted Faces a cozy spot on the top shelf. I'm OBSESSED with The Phantom of the Opera, so writing Sherlock in a masquerade costume is really just my way of complimenting my two fixations, Also, the Moon River reference is a nod to a scene from my go-to comfort flick, Kate and Leopold. I just really like the overall vibe!

II. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 --- So, it's a supernatural/sherlock crossover. It's my only piece of writing without Y/N. I didn't expect for it to TAKE OFF, but maybe I expected a few more readers? Anyways, disappointing. Let's slide this one over with the rejects. So long, soldier...

III. 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐖𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬! --- It started as a silly Team Free Will one-shot I wrote on my birthday, but it did better than I expected! Definitely one of my favourite fics since I wrote it for myself, not as a request, or for notes, or whatever...

IV. 𝐎𝐟 𝐒𝐦𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐬𝐡 + 𝐀 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 --- Okay, I like to think of these two as a duo. OSAA was my very first fic, so I was really rigid with the writing, and PAINFULLY obvious with the spn references. I was a bit more honest with sherlock's AWD, soooo yeah. I was really nervous posting for the first time!
