oh i went to the allergist today and i was immediately referred out bc i am “too complicated” and also they can’t/won’t do any skin testing on me because i’m on a daily beta blocker which i honestly never considered was a thing but they said it might be different at other offices so we’ll see what this new referral says but at least i can do the blood tests? i’m not necessarily upset about not being pricked/scratched with allergens repeatedly but it does seem very on par for me lmao so i guess we will see how long this referral actually takes bc you know. healthcare and all that

ok so in the show i’m crewing right now with the theater i work for, one of our out-of-company actors that was hired is an ambulatory wheelchair user and she’s incredible and the theater and management have made it this whole production to try an accommodate her needs through the process. Which is wonderful!

But on the part of the the theater it comes of as so disingenuous to me (especially with the way they’ve been publicizing it on social media), knowing that i spent last semester crying after every rehearsal due to the way my disability was treated and i was considering quitting theater altogether. and even going into this production the way i’ve been treated has been subpar. and it makes me so angry but i can’t talk to anyone i know about it because i dont want them to think im bashing the actor when im really just pissed at theater management.

#i think part of the problem is i’m a university fed hire #while the actor was hired out of company as freelance #and so for me it’s just another nail in the coffin about the way this theater treats their student workers #but like i was hired for two positions in this show. and i was (not gracefully) fired from one of the positions #so i could ‘focus on my other position’ and not strain my disability too much #obviously this was decided without any input from me #the stage manager who was making me cry last semester and spreading very personal information about my disability #was out of company hired as well and she is not invited back for many reasons #but when i made my complaint about the way she was treating my disability i got a ‘we’ll talk about it tomorrow and im sorry that’s happen’ #only for it to never be discussed until the following semester after the show had ended #and i received a ‘we’re going to try and do better than the last show where details of your vulnerable medical episodes were shared without #your consent’ #i love this actress and disability solidarity all the way #but i’m frustrated with the fact that she’s getting accommodations i could never dream of getting #while i’m still being told that my disability is too inconvenient for some jobs #we’re the only two mobility aid users to work for this theater and i’m baffled by the different reception between the two of us #i’m just so. tired. of being treated like a liability #and watching someone else be treated great by people who’ve stomped on me makes me want to never work in theater ever again

Re-reading Bleach’s Arrancar arc, and… god I want to give Orihime a shoulder to lean on and cry on. Just… gosh the poor girl… she can’t catch a break :’(

The moment she has self doubts about her own abilities (a very understandable and normal teenaged thing!) she has an even more stronger insistence to be stronger, and just when she’s about to get a tremendous improvement in her abilites, the bad guys show up (specifically Ul//quiorra) and basically coerces her to join the arrancar because the value her abilities. That refusal would lead to the deaths of her friends, and as a pacifist who doesn’t like violence and wants to keep her friends safe, it’s understandable that such an offer is VERY HARD for her to decline.

May I remind people that Orihime at this point in Bleach is a teenaged girl attending high school. Who just a few months ago almost saw her best friend die (they’re okay but they’re not the same person anymore), had a near death experience herself, and also saw the person she has a crush on be violently defeated in a battle he wasn’t prepared for.

Arrancar arc is really just… Orihime and the horrible, terrible, no good, very bad day :(

#I was really emotional when typing this up.. #the momen she considers getting stronger urahara comes around and well intentionally #says that she should sit this fight out because her combat abilities are a liability #LIKE ITS WELL INTENTIONED… but the dude explains it so horribly it just adds to orihime’s self doubt #and she vents this to rukia who LOSES HER SHIT. rukia is like ‘HEY WITHOUT YOU I’D BE DEAD’! and she’s right!! and she trains with orihime #after orihime’s fairy friend gets fixed!! and it’s like!!! FINALLY!! she’ll get the time to shine on the battlefield! #but the arrancar saw that and went ‘hey… what if we stole this human and kept them as our medic? it’s a piece of leverage over #that ichigo guy :) we win either way and they can’t stop us. it’s a foolproof plan!!’ #and they coerce her to join them by threatening the lives of her friends and it’s like!!! #then taking advantage of an emotionality vulnerable orihime is like.. genius storytelling #it’s a consequence of the characters not allowing orihime stand on her own in a fight. they try to protect her so much that they end up #losing her in the end anyways as she joins the bad guys. obviously this is a coerced betrayal. the enemy threatened #the lives of her friends in exchange for her to go with them. so of course!! she’s going to follow their instructions to save her friends!! #I don’t think orihime is THAT naive I think she’s more kind than naive. she wants to see the best in people even if they are her enemy #she did that a lot in the soul society infiltration arc #i think her real weakness is that she’s kind to a fault but the fact she chooses TO BE KIND even in the face of evil gives her #so much character and personality to her. she’s a good person who wants to do good and to be better; to help OTHERS BE BETTER!! #hi I’m normal about a fictional character sorry… #bleach spoilers

I was freaking the fuck out during the Denny DuQuette arc. I don't know anything about the medical/healthcare career field but for the love of god! Even I know that pulling a stunt like the one Izzie did would land me in prison with a life sentence! When Miranda and Webber let Izzie off the hook for it, I fucking SCREAMED at my iPad. Did the fictitious medical school that Izzie graduated from not teach them about medical malpractice or inappropriate bonds/relationships between doctors and patients!?

I can honestly say that, while I like Izzie at times, I found her to be insufferable. ESPECIALLY during the arc where George and Callie were married.

When Denny DuGhost started showing up, that was just depressing and uncomfortable to watch. But she is a massive bitch in my eyes for abandoning Alex.
