Finished S05 E11 and I just have to say:

FUCK KARA FOR RUINING LITERALLY EVERYTHING

All the bitch had to do was lay low and she would’ve been out of Camelot in a few days. Arthur wasn’t going to hurt her. He was literally going to help her, but this bitch is just like “nah lemme do something super stupid that will definitely not endanger my life or Mordred’s if I fail”

Not only that but she continues to fuck up every chance she and Mordred get. Arthur gave her a chance, all she had to do was swallow her damn pride and apologize for KILLING PEOPLE IN COLD BLOOD WITHOUT MAGIC, and she would’ve lived.

She’s like “yeah I love Mordred too much to give up his name, I never want any harm to come to him” but she’s also like “nah imma just get myself killed cause that’ll be good for Mordred, yeah”

It is straight up infuriating to watch her ruin everything by being a stubborn, selfish brat. She loves Mordred so much but completely ignores everything he says. He tells her Arthur’s different, that they’re friends, blah blah blah but instead of trusting his word at all she’s like “no I’m the right one, let’s kill them all”

God I wish they had brought Mordred into the courtroom when Arthur gave her the chance to repent her crimes. I would love to see his face as Arthur offers her mercy. He offers mercy despite Kara being so certain he wouldn’t, but despite his mercy she refuses and condemns herself to death. I would’ve loved to see Mordred witness that, to have him see Arthur give mercy like he thought he would and see Kara throw it away out of spite. I think he would’ve had a very different reaction had he seen her do that.

Long story short: fuck Kara.

Parallels to Mordred screaming in pain at the loss of a loved one at Merlin's hands (if Merlin didn’t snitch, Mondred and Cara would have escaped safely, so it was Merlin's fault).

And two episodes later, Merlin screams in pain from the loss of his loved one killed by Mordred. It was payback.

Tec stuffs (aka Behind The Manip) Just a warm up. When I saw the post I went "well, seems easy" - the pose is the best you could ask, perfectly on the side. Turns out that Colin Morgan's best pics didn't work out (too much shadows, slightly turned). And there was something on the model of the base - either he has a very elongated head, or Colin's isn't. So the ears didn't overlap. Also, Colin's pose in the original pic didn't agree with the neck. Oh well. Anyway. Didn't turn out bad.

So I’m watching Merlin with my mom rn, and we’re currently on the penultimate episode. Yesterday, my mom came up with this incredible analogy while watching 5x11 (when Mordred goes buck wild) that in this episode, Merlin has been checkmated. There’s no more moves left, because whatever he does, whatever choice he makes, it would all lead to the same outcome. Basically, The King is Dead.

This got me thinking that Merlin as a whole show could be seen as a chess game - Merlin’s playing it, and he plays well for the first 3 seasons. By the 4th season, he slips up a few times, but in season 5 he makes blatantly wrong moves left, right and center, resulting in Arthur’s death.
