Random Lin Kuei Headcannons

(This is NOT based on the MK1 versions of the characters. It's more of a kind of if everyone lived version of MK9-X version of the characters.)

Again these are just headcannons. They are my own opinion.

Bi Han-

Has claustrophobia but tries really hard to hide it since he thinks the other members of the Lin Kuei will view it as a weakness. The only person that knows about it is Sareena and that’s only because she figured it out on her own, he never actually told her..

He loves his mother a lot and is the only one of the three kids (him, Kuai Liang, and Lisa) that actually remembers her.

His mother and his childhood before he joined the Lin Kuei is a sore spot for him and he almost never talks about it.

“Bi Han” was not his birth name and he knows this. He also knows Kuai Liang’s birth name but never told Kuai Liang what it was and Kuai Liang doesn’t remember his birth name.

Has a very low social battery. Can maybe go an hour or two before he starts getting annoyed or antsy when in social environments. This is another one of those things he tries his best to hide cause he thinks he’ll be mocked for it. Kuai Liang and Tomas know but never bring it up cause Bi Han will just deny it.

Do. Not. Touch. This. Man. There is a very very small group of people who can put their hands on him without getting immediately punched.

Very technophobic. To the point that this man doesn’t even own a phone. If anyone wants to talk to him they can either speak with him in person, send a letter, or if they insist on a phone call they’ll have to call Sareena or Tomas and ask to speak with him. He just doesn’t want anything to do with technology and is very open about this opinion. He’d even mock Sektor for his reliance on technology.

Kuai Liang-

While Bi Han is the more powerful of the two, Kuai Liang is the more disciplined.

He likes to read a LOT. If he’s not on a mission, training, or hanging out with Tomas, he’s reading. Especially books about science.

He’s a massive chemistry nerd. His fascination started when he was a kid and started using his ice powers more. He loved seeing how his cold power effected things around him, and it just kind of spawned off into an interest in chemical reactions.

When he was a young man he was really interested in the use of technology when fighting and working with Sektor, however after the cyber initiative he’s more like Bi Han. He’s not quite as bad as his brother but anything more advanced than a landline is a no.

Very strict about being viewed as professional and expects all his students to be on their best behavior whenever someone is visiting the Lin Kuei. Even if it’s only the Kombat Kids dropping by, everyone better damn well better behave. He has a reputation to keep up after all.

Acts annoyed with Johnny Cage but does secretly appreciate his friendship.

Has all the confidence in the world in a fight or when leading, but could not flirt to save his life. The second anything romantic comes up he just freezes (hehe) up and isn’t sure what to do. If he does come up with something it’s usually the cheesiest ice pun pick up line any man has ever said. He grew up in an environment where romance wasn’t really allowed so he has nothing to go off of, but he can always fall back on ice puns like his brother taught him.

Frost-

She is a lesbian.

Confident fighter but this woman has 0 rizz. The second a pretty girl is put in front of her, her brain just goes blank and her fight or flight kicks in.

She is a ferret person. If she could she’d have 10, but Kuai Liang only lets her have 3 at the most at one time.

Little tech nerd. Even reminds Kuai Liang of a young Sektor, which does worry him sometimes. She’s not as extreme as Sektor though and not nearly as reliant on technology to fight.

So, rumours of Scorpion Harumi coming to the game reached my socmed feed. Because I am procrastinating and tired of NRS being blind to opportunities, I decided to rant to a friend about an idea.

Everything is mostly the same except for a few changes.

The Shirai Ryu exist, but are at peace with the Lin Kuei. Hanzo still holds the title of Scorpion and is happily married to Harumi. They also have their boy, Satoshi.

With that part fixed, Kuai Liang holds the title of Tundra.

So, after Bi-Han's betrayal, both Smoke and Tundra flee to Japan with the help of Hanzo. There, they find shelter with the Shirai Ryu and explain their situation to Harumi, who agrees to help them.

During the fight against Bi-Han and the Lin Kuei, Hanzo is killed and Harumi takes the mantle of Scorpion. This could possibly lead to Hanzo becoming a spectre and servant for Quan Chi like the previous games.

I'll leave it up to your imagination on how Hanzo's role in the story would play out in MK1.

It's not the best storytelling on Kuai Liang, Bi-Han, and Hanzo in MK1.

Kuai Liang as Scorpion was no muy buéno.

NRS should've kept Kaui Liang as Tundra and let Hanzo be Scorpion.

They could've created a different lady love-interest for Kuai Liang, not Harumi, who's been Hanzo's wife for decades.

There should have been a chapter of the couple Hanzo and Harumi Hasashi welcoming Kuai Liang and Smoke to the Shirai Ryu.

We'll just see how it goes for now.

Random idea!

Kuai Liang’s fire abilities start going away little by little and he starts getting colder and colder only to find out he’s developing ice abilities. So he takes on the name Tundra and lets go of the Scorpion title. He now strives to also redeem the Lin Kuei if Bi-Han can’t be saved by his ambitions.

Another twist, his student Hanzo develops fire abilities and adopts the Scorpion name in honor of his grandmaster, Kuai Liang, and with his approval as well.

I got this little idea from the MK1 ending where all the timelines meet up (or whatever that was). Basically Skarlet, Kuai Liang, Frost, and Rain from my Three Princesses AU. Also this version of Skarlet is from @maddenedroses AU (I'm sorry Billie looks like a potato. I can't draw babies.)
