Movie Night

I wanted to do headcanons for a movie night with some of the men from MK cause rn I wanna watch a movie and eat snacks and cry my feelings out lol. I just did gender neutral reader instead of fem.

A little nsfw but only at Kung Lao and Raiden’s part . Not detailed or anything, just hinted at.

Characters- Tomas, Kuai Liang, Bi-Han, Kung Lao, Raiden

Tomas-

He was probably the one to suggest movie night. He loves watching movies, as well as spending time with his s/o.

He will make sure to set aside time for movie nights so that he doesn’t miss it or get sidetracked with other things.

Tomas likes to watch comedy movies, but he will watch a good horror movie.

He doesn’t like action movies too much as he lives in the action. He doesn’t want to see what he does on a day-to-day basis on the tv screen.

He will watch Spiderman though (hehe). Thinks Spiderman is great. Peter Parker reminds him of himself (hmm I wonder why).

Tomas doesn’t get scared very easily when watching horror movies. He can expect the jump scares a lot of the time.

But he doesn’t mind if his s/o cuddles into him or grabs onto him if they’re scared. He thinks it’s cute.

He likes to tease them about it.

Tomas loves to have a lot of snacks available for him and his significant other. He will go shopping beforehand and get everything for movie night.

Will make crazy concoctions of his popcorn with M&M’s and chocolate syrup sometimes (I’ve had that before I will admit it and it was good so don’t even bully him)

He likes the saltiness and sweetness of his weird popcorn concoction.

Absolutely feels like crap after he eats a lot of bad snacks. He’s got a bloated tummy, and he feels a bit gross.

Will ask for a tummy rub during the movie.

Likes to wear matching pjs during movie nights.

Kuai Liang-

He looks forward to movie nights because that is when he gets time to relax and spend time with his lover.

He and his s/o will eat a meal while watching movies. He prefers it that way a little bit.

So he will have their kitchen cooks prepare what they want so it is ready for their movie time. Or sometimes Kuai Liang will make it himself.

He is a great cook, he is skilled at many things.

Loved cuddling while watching movies. He will increase his body temperature to be his s/o’s personal blanket.

Expect a lot of kisses from Kuai, he’s v affectionate, esp during movie time.

He will like to watch romance or rom-coms. He isn’t a horror fan, he will watch them but he isn’t into it really.

Kuai doesn’t get scared, he is just tired of seeing bloodshed. When it’s something he deals with everyday, he doesn’t want to see it at home when he’s relaxing.

But paranormal movies are a little different, he will watch those.

Sometimes gets a little paranoid but he won’t admit it.

Kuai dresses comfortably during movie night so he’s typically shirtless and in lounge pants or sweats. Maybe even his boxers, it just depends.

Liang will indulge in snacks though, even if he prefers meals. But nothing crazy. He’s not like Tomas where his sweet tooth is crazy big, but it’s still there.

Will fuck up a pack of cupcakes to himself. Licks the container clean.

Bi-Han-

He’s the Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei, why should he waste time watching Hollywood films?

You put on the Addams Family, and he’s glued to the screen. He finds it interesting.

It’s hard to sit and watch a movie with Bi-Han. He has to find the time to watch a movie, but also because he has a hard time sitting still.

Not in like an ADHD way, more like in a “there’s important work I need to do and I’m stressing about it” kind of way.

He will watch anything but Johnny Cage’s films. If his s/o put one of his movies on, Bi-Han is walking out and going back to his paperwork.

How dare they waste his time like that?

He does like fantasy films despite living in a fantasy world himself. He’s never seen a dragon, but wouldn’t that be cool to see?

He’s sure they exist in one of the realms. He just has to find it.

Doesn’t really snack on junk food, he’s more of a fruit salad kind of guy (fruit salad is good tho so i cant blame him).

Eats his vegetables. Ugh, why Bi-Han?

He will indulge in some sweets like dark chocolate, but that’s the farthest he will go. He’s just never been a fan of sweets or carbs I guess.

Party Pooper Bi-Han.

But he will buy his s/o all the snacks they want and what foods they want as well. He’ll even have the chefs cook something.

He wants his lover to be happy and content. Plus he doesn’t mind if they eat junk food. He thinks it’s cute.

Will make the temperature cold so his s/o cuddles with him closer. He pretends like he doesn’t do it on purpose.

Kinda prefers to watch TV in bed rather than sit in the living room or somewhere else.

He only feels that way because he can turn over on his side and go to bed if he’s tired enough. On a couch, he can’t do that.

Especially on the uncomfortable ass couches in the Lin Kuei palace that are not made for comfort. He would rather get his spine ripped out.

Kung Lao-

You have to have an entire four-course dinner catered to this man during movie time.

He’s a bottomless pit. He has to do a lot of shopping if he knows he and his s/o are having a movie night.

He will eat so many snacks it’s ridiculous.

He likes comedy movies, but he will sit down and watch a horror movie too.

Slasher films to be specific. Doesn’t like poltergeist movies, he’s afraid he will be haunted.

He won’t admit that though. But if he and his s/o watch a poltergeist movie he will do his best to seem like he’s not scared.

Is the type to overanalyze horror films and point on the flaws or how unrealistic it is.

Has choked laughing at a comedy film and it just about gave his s/o a heart attack.

If cuddling ensues, be prepared to have crumbs stuck to you. He makes a mess.

Kung Lao was also the one to probably suggest movie night similar to Tomas.

Will give his s/o small kisses during the movie but doesn’t do it too much. He knows he will get too horny, and there will be no point of return.

Sometimes there has been movie nights ‘ruined’ by his horniness. I say ruined lightly because it’s not really ruined yk.

He just gets distracted easily. He cant help it.

Does make up for it with another movie night and tries to control his horniness but don’t bet on it.

Raiden-

Big on cuddling, absolute cuddle bug.

Has a lot of blankets ready and will make the house cold so he and his s/o can cuddle close.

Likes watching family kind of movies or romance. Doesn’t like horror really.

He’s a mix of junk food and healthy food. He likes to keep his physique nice.

But he doesn’t care if his s/o eats junk food, he will buy them anything they want.

Raiden will give his s/o small kisses during the movies, and he will pull them closer to his body. He likes having them close to him.

He’s a big softie as everyone knows, so movie time is mainly just kissing and cuddling. He’s not outwardly sexual about it.

But he won’t turn his s/o down if they engage in it.

Tends to fall asleep during movies. He gets so comfortable esp around his s/o, so he feels sleepy.

Loves it when they play with his hair. It makes him feel even more drowsy.

He loves their fingers going through his locks and the sensations.

Doesn’t outwardly ask for a massage during movie time but he may hint at it.

BONUS!!!!!!!!

Liu Kang-

He’s excited for movie time!!

He does love some relaxation after a stressful day. He has a lot of stress in his life being Earthrealm’s Protector.

So he likes to unwind when he can. Liu Kang is never against taking mental health days.

He likes to watch peaceful movies. Something romantic but not heart wrenching.

Horror movies aren’t something he wants to watch. He’s seen much worse in his life.

They aren’t frightening to him, but he does like it when his s/o cuddles closer to him because they’re scared.

Makes him feel big and strong.

Showers his s/o in kisses. Kisses all over their face and body. He attacks them with kisses.

Smiles when they kiss him back.

Cuddles are great with him, he holds his s/o in his lap practically and he is just v comfortable to be around.

After watching sci-fi movies, he likes to discuss different theories both he and his s/o may have about the lore of the movie.

He likes to hear them talk about things that they’re questioning and what they’re interested to know.

Of course, he doesn’t have the answers, but he likes to theorize.

Kitana

Kitana loves to spend time in the garden in the spring, whether it's to just wander around for a moment and listen to the gentle melody of the wildlife or if it's to practice her Kombat skills when she's alone, she loves to spend time there; she'll never admit it, but she loves to sit by one of the oldest trees with you and have just a little bit of quality time together. You could talk for hours, and she could listen for years.

Mileena

Mileena is never the first to indicate contact, but when you're sprawled out as you're sat down, she can't resist the urge to find her way to your side; her head on your shoulder as she listens closely to your breathing. She finds it relaxing, and even when she's at her worst, your breathing is an anchor; she's very protective, and has every right to be, but as long as she can hear your breathing, she knows that not everything is shit.

Sindel

Sindel likes to watch you do your own thing; when you're reading in the gardens, she likes to sit closely and watch. She doesn't want to spend every waking minute with you, but she likes to watch you when you're unaware of her gaze; she knows you're good to her daughters and treat them like your own, which means the most to her, but she also knows that you sometimes find it difficult to be the Queen's s/o. She tries to be as reassuring as she can, though.

Ashrah

Ashrah didn't know what physical affection meant, until she found you. The hand holding. The soft kiss on the cheek that meant hello and goodbye. The cuddling at night. At first, Ashrah assumed that it was just part of some courting ritual or something, but she eventually learned to reciprocate it and to be as gentle as she could with you. She was curious about affection, what it meant and what it was like to give it as well as recieve it, but at least she had you to help her find out.

Tanya

Tanya likes to check in, a lot. Popping her head in and smiling at you for a moment before walking away again. Small touches to your shoulder or your lower back to remind you that she was with you and she would keep you safe. You never felt uneasy or unsafe when she was around, and even when you were worried and unsettled about other things, her little check ins throughout the day would always calm you down and remind you that you were safe and sound.

Li Mei

Li Mei insists on teaching you how to fight; she's tough as nails and she doesn't take any shit from anyone, so she sees it only fitting that her s/o should be able to fight, too. Neither of you can ever be sure exactly how it happens, but every training session always seems to end up with a make out session and her telling you that you need to improve on your distraction techniques.

Johnny Cage

Johnny's favourite fucking thing in the world, without a doubt, is to spoil you rotten. If you so much as offhandedly mention that you liked something, whether it was a certain meal or an article of clothing, he's getting it for you. You can't count the amount of times you've come home and there's been a box on your bed with a card signed by him, some cheesy pickup line scribbled in his handwriting; it makes you smile every time. He always gets you something from wherever he's filming - usually a postcard to pin to the wall or a badge. Something small you can always keep with you.

Kung Lao

Kung Lao always shows off for you. If he's sparring or he's training, he'll get cocky enough that he ends up hurt and then sulks until you patch him up and kiss whatever wound and bruises he's wound up with. He's cocky and he's a show off, but you love him that way. You love to see him so confident in what he's doing. You could swear until the cows came home that he had seen way too many films, but you still find it endearing that he's so eager to show off for you.

Sub-Zero!Kuai Liang

As Grandmaster, Kuai doesn't really get much time to be with you, and he regrets it every time he thinks about it; but he always tries to make it up to you. Little ice sculptures of your favourite animal on the windowsill outside when you wake up. Hastily written notes telling you that he missed you. If he has time, he likes to prepare a meal for you or at the very least something to drink - just little things to tell you he's sorry he doesn't get much time.

Scorpion!Kuai Liang

To the touch, Kuai is always so warm. He pretends that he doesn't love it, but when you lace your fingers with his tightly to warm your fingers up, it always makes him grin. He likes it when you put your hands on his bare chest or press your face to the side of his neck to steal some of the warmth he's all too happy to let go. It's never rare to find you sneaking your hand up his shirt or holding onto him tightly just so you can steal his heat.

Syzoth

At first, Syzoth was always worried about hurting you when he kissed you. He wasn't entirely sure if anything would happen, but it was always a worry that he never wanted to find out about; when he learned that it was perfectly safe, though, it was like he couldn't stay away. Always kissing your cheek or your temple or your hands or your neck or your forehead. Showering you in every single one he had missed. His favourite is always to kiss you when you've just come home, your arms around his waist and the kiss so soft and so sweet that it always makes his head spin.

Kenshi Takahashi

Film night date nights have always been his favourite. Cuddling up on the sofa with you, a fluffy blanket chucked over your legs as you fidget around to get comfortable beside him; his arm over your shoulders to keep you close. Usually he would order in a takeaway, and he always knew your favourite order for each type like it was as common knowledge as grass being green. He never realised until the end of the last film that you were sound asleep, but he would simply shrug and relax as he hummed and tried to drift off himself; you never went to bed without the other if you were both home.

-He is literally the fun uncle...with such dad jokes and puns that makes you double take on being his favorite. Yes, you're his favorite what makes you think he is open with you hanging around when he is in acting mode at work or he invites you to the red carpet to announce the winners for best actor (AKA him). Plus, there is a new game system you've been investing? He got you. Student loans? No need just tell him how much it is for each semester, he is very supportive of your career. "Is that your uncle Johnny fucking Cage!?" He is at the drop off waiting for you to be picked up in his red Lamborghini, blasting California Love,"Yup...that is my uncle."

-Speaking of his acting career he will NOT permit you to go to any film industry if he is not around. He will confront any sleazy creeps who dare to make you sign a contract, because you will be the biggest star like your uncle. Nope! Not on his watch. "Give me that. Who gave you this paper?" "Uh, some bald guy-" "Yeah, didn't I teach you any better talking to strangers??" "Uncle J you're not even my da-" "I'm calling your mom."

-Not only is he protective, but he will keep mad bugging you to teach you his martial art skills. It is just an excuse to have some uncle and niece bonding-both you hang out 24/7 it is ridiculous-so, you could be his trustee side kick and who knows if he ever has another movie coming in he would definitely drag put you in since you learned martial arts like him. On a serious note though he would let you know he is not doing it for clout (bullshit), but to make sure you are safe and know what to do in dangerous scenarios

-Of course, you will be bombarded with paparazzi when you're hanging with your uncle, however the pictures seem to have a unique pattern about you both. It is like a game between you and Johnny against them. You received little attention before your first movie with your uncle, yet after that you decide to troll them. Every picture they failed to take your face either you wearing a hoodie only seeing your mouth in view, surgical masks and not being to capture you pulling it down when you're eating/drinking cause the angle is shit. Or even then you would position yourself around objects or things that it just looks like a tree branch covered the majority of your face flashing a smile cause Johnny cracked a joke as he was smiling too, eating frozen yogurt going for a walk at the park

-Now being introduced with Lui Kang God of Fire, Sub Zero, Scorpion, and so much was mind blowing. Even you were part of it. Johnny being the protective uncle he absolutely REFUSED to get you involved. So, instead you had to stay close to him at all times since you were forced to join. It was quite a beauty since these different timelines had gorgeous views, so you would snap pictures here and there (without uncle Kenshi knowing cause he bonked you with the sword once). Plus, you were stunned how pretty everyone was there like holy shit why is everyone so hot???

-Furthermore, everyone was just as curious as they were with Johnny to you. "So, you're related to Johnny Cage?" Lui Kang asks as he was behind the entrance door of your uncle's mansion with his arms crossed,"Unfortunately, yes-" "That's it! Youngins' shouldn't be here. The adults are talking." The ladies were a little confused you can be the opposite of Johnny being humorous and all. "How can you tolerate such patience with an uncle so untamed, (Y/N)?" Kitana whispered to you after he told her she was gracefully aging for a 10,000 year old,"I don't know, princess. I question myself that everyday."

-Of course, your uncle J told you to be close to you at all costs, but you end up snapping when someone laid a hand on your uncle. That's when all that work of martial arts paid off when you were popping awf, honey. Everyone was shook and couldn't believe their eyes even Mileena complimented,"Such fire you show within kombat! I wish you can stay here in the Outworld to teach all my guards." You chuckled,"I would be very honored, your majesty, but I don't think uncle Johnny would be okay with that."

-Being his niece has taught you to enjoy life even when things don't go your way it'll get better. With you he learned that not everything shouldn't be taken so lightly when it is necessary especially to those he has a special bond with. Lets just say it is a healing and mind opening moment for you and you uncle away from the riches, the media, and fame into the Outworld

What do you think if Titan Bi-Han had returned to that MK1 timeline by chance and met his counterparts lover who remains with Kuai Liang and Tomas?? How would either react to seeing each other?? And what if he had lost her in his timeline?? Or something.

It was never easy to come to terms with Bi-Han's betrayal. The night the brothers arrived to Liu Kang's temple without her husband, she thought the worst. Her heart was in her throat. The brothers held solemn looks as Kuai Liang gently told her that Bi-Han had betrayed them for Shang Tsung. He was never going to come back.

Her legs gave out on her as Kuai gripped her tighter, sobbing while she buried her face in his shoulder. The sounds of grief. How could he do this to them?

They were family. A somewhat happy family.

But that was never enough for Bi-Han. He always wanted something more.

Tomas and Kuai held her all night long while she cried. She cried like she was mourning Bi-Han, and in a way, she was. Mourning the Bi-Han she loved and cared for more than her own being. The Bi-Han that would never come back to her. It broke her, and everyday she reminisced about her life with him. How he would kiss the tip of her nose before he went to make plans, or how he would pull her in by her waist and softly sigh into her neck when he was behind closed doors. She missed him dearly.

As much as she wanted to be with Bi-Han, she could not leave her dear 'brothers' behind. Bi-Han had already abandoned them, they would be devastated if she left too. So she stayed. She was there when the Shirai Ryu first began their mission of protecting Earthrealm. She was there when Liu Kang had their swearing-in to take on the task that the Lin Kuei had abandoned. She was there with Kuai Liang and Harumi married each other. She was there when Hanzo Hasashi, not their Hanzo, invaded their timeline in search for a Harumi. She was there for many events after Bi-Han's betrayal, events that he was not there for.

Bi-Han never came back for her, and it made her depressed. Even though she would not leave the Shirai Ryu, it made her sorrowful that Bi-Han had forgotten all about her. In her locket, she still held a picture of him. Although his face was unsmiling, his features were softened. A look of love. She often looked at this photo, gently twirling the chain in her other hand. Sometimes she smiled at the picture, sometimes she stared at it sadly. She could never see the love of her life again, and she had to come to terms with that.

She often prepared their lunches and the boys were very thankful for that. She knew what their favorites were and how to make it correctly. Sometimes for lunch, they would all sit together and talk about old memories with the Lin Kuei. Often times, they were good memories. Ones that you could never forget.

However, by the end of the lunch hour, they would be sad. Sad that it had to be this way. And they hoped that maybe in other timelines, they were happy together. Without Bi-Han’s betrayal.

The morning was fresh yet cloudy and the smell of rain was beginning to clash with the smell of breakfast for the boys. They sat at the table as they sipped on tea and talked amongst each other. She cooked as quickly as she could so they could eat in enough time.

“What a depressing day.” Tomas sighed as he glanced out the window. “Sometimes days like this make me feel sad.”

“I understand, brother.” Kuai Liang replied with a small frown. “I like the sunshine.” They both looked at her.

She caught their glances. “I don’t mind it. Bi-Han always preferred rainy, depressing days. Even though most of the time it was snowing.”

Tomas snorted. “That’s about all we could get was snow.” They all giggled quietly as they resumed back to silence. Once breakfast was ready, she served them heaping amounts of food. As fit as the brothers were, they sure ate a lot. They definitely cleaned house when it came to food. But she didn’t mind. She enjoyed cooking very much as it made her feel helpful. Although she had duties to attend to, they were not significant like the brothers, so sometimes she felt like she was not doing enough. They always reassured her.

Scarfing down breakfast, they helped clean up their messes and said their goodbyes to start on their day. She sighed quietly as the door shut. As much as she wanted to stay inside all day, she knew she could not. When there were rainy days, Bi-Han insisted on her staying indoors and every once in a while, he would come home early to cuddle in bed. Kissing her neck and shoulder as he buried his head in her neck. Sometimes his hands trailed lower as he kissed parts of her body. Most of the time, that initiated a long night.

Shaking her head with a small smile, she took one last sip of her tea and began to start on her day. Most of the work was fairly easy. It was not that Kuai Liang believed she could not do hard work, he believed that she was one of them. So she deserved to have lighter duties. Their warriors had to prove themselves, Y/N did not have to prove anything.

After about two hours of working, she took a break to take in her surroundings. She breathed in the rainy air, feeling her lungs expand further. But in the distance, she saw a glowing light that pulsated. Tilting her head, she slowly got up until Tomas ran up to her.

“Get inside now!” He said firmly as he grabbed her.

“What’s going on?” She asked with worry.

“Just get inside please.” He replied as she began to make her way back inside her chambers. She was confused. What was happening? What was that light? There were many questions she had that could not be answered.

She waited, pacing around the room as she so badly wanted to go and see what was happening. Was it Bi-Han? Was it Shang Tsung? The possibilities were endless.

That was, until Tomas rapped his knuckles on her door once again. She opened it, immediately opening her mouth to ask a question but he grabbed her wrist again. “Come with me. There is something to show you.” He looked excited. Her brain ran a million miles per hour as he lead her to the temple. She was confused why Tomas looked so happy.

That was, until she saw who was standing in front of them.

Wearing a lighter blue uniform with clean, black locks secured in a bun and his face softened, was Bi-Han talking to Kuai Liang. Her world began to spin as she stared at him. He did not look angry or upset. He looked content. That was an emotion he had hardly shown unless he was secured in his own home. His eyes were not hardened. They were gentle. His eyes swept over to her figure and they locked eyes, his own widening at the sight of her.

“My firefly…” he said breathlessly as he began to quickly approach you. She felt herself begin to tear up as he engulfed her in a bear hug.

“Bi-Han.” She croaked as her tears fell from her face. “Is it truly you?��

He pulled his face away to look at her. “I am not the Bi-Han of this timeline, but I am still him.” His eyes were full of love and joy. She felt her heart slightly sink. “Then who are you?”

Sighing as he pulled away, he began to explain the history of his timeline. Where Bi-Han was never that hard on his brothers. Where he loved them both and never tried to shun Smoke. Where he did not kill their father. Where he did not betray them and pull away from Liu Kang.

But as he continued his story, his face began to fall. “However, when Shang Tsung came to fight with us, it costed much more than I anticipated. And he,” he looked as if he was struggling. “He took you away from me. He killed you.”

Taking his hands within her own, she looked at him. “I am truly sorry for that. We both lost our significant others it seems.”

He hugged her again. “I am happy to be reunited, even if it is for a moment. My beautiful girl.” Her heart swelled up hearing those words slip past Titan Bi-Han’s lips and her eyes watered once more. He was so sweet. It was a little surprising to see him this affectionate in front of his ‘siblings’, but she had to remind herself that this was a different Bi-Han. Which meant he was raised somewhat differently. He wasn’t the same as her Bi-Han, but they were sure alike.

All three of them spent the day with him, ignoring their duties as they relished in their happiness. Kuai Liang was standoffish at first, but he warmed up quickly to Titan Bi-Han. How could he not? This Bi-Han was so much more affectionate and friendly compared to their Bi-Han that they had grown accustomed to. The coldness was replaced with warmth.

He was so sweet, always complimenting Tomas and his fighting skills as they all trained the ninjas together. Tomas felt his heart swell with every compliment Bi-Han had given him. This Bi-Han was so much more pleasant. It was as if Kuai Liang had possessed the form of Bi-Han.

Their day together had been an eye opener for Bi-Han’s family. They realized how much they missed out on with their Bi-Han. How much he took away from them. They wished to have this one in their timeline, but they knew he could not stay forever.

Eventually, the brothers said goodbye and let her be with her ‘husband’. They figured they both needed the time to be with each other.

“My beloved,” Titan Bi-Han said as they closed the door to her chambers. “I have missed you for an eternity.”

Leaning into his embrace, she gently kissed him on his lips as they laid onto the bed. Bi-Han caressed her face with one hand while the other held her hip. His kisses were cold but the way he held her radiated warming love. He pulled away from her and rested his forehead against her, his dark brown eyes looking into hers. “I don’t want to lose you again.” He whispered. “I don’t want to leave you.”

She felt her eyes water again for about the hundredth time today and he wiped them away with his thumbs. “Do not cry, my firefly. I will always be around.”

“I wish I had him… you back. I wish I had you back, Bi-Han.” She said quietly as he laid a kiss on the tip of her nose.

“I am here for now, my love.” He replied as he kissed her again. “Live in the moment, it’s okay.”

She wondered if it was considered adultery for making love with Bi-Han’s Titan counterpart, but she reasoned with herself in her head. He was slow and passionate, always giving her kisses and soft touches down her body as he became one with her. It was as if their souls were colliding and becoming one within each other. It was sensual. She had not made love with Bi-Han for a very long time, let alone another man.

He held her all throughout the night as their bodies intertwined with one another, basking in their warmth and adoration. He did not want to let her go. She was just with him for a moment, and he didn’t want to let it slip past his fingertips. But he knew he had to leave. But for now, he could enjoy his time that he had with her for now.
