hello!!! i super enjoyed IKY !! i wanna read the new fic but i almost always wait till fics are complete so i’m very excited!! do u think this fic will have a happy ending for the bees !!

Hi!! Hello!! Well, honestly I couldn’t tell you- I tend to let stories write themselves. Writing I Know You, I wasn’t even sure where I wanted them to end up exactly, but it felt right ending it how I did. I think the biggest thing I’m focusing on with this one is that it’s okay to not have a perfect, magically unproblematic relationship- and I want to show that there are all kinds of ways we can grow as people and we can branch out from young adulthood into adulthood.

To answer your question to the best of my (current) ability: Blake and Yang feel like two people who are going to have struggles, and who are going to have to actively work on staying up to pace with each other, and that’s not a bad thing. At the end of the day they’re going to always work hard on being fair and seeing eye to eye, and they’re going to be happiest when they do.

-at least, how I try to write for them.

Hmmm well I wouldn’t say it’s a spoiler, since I’ll probably only lightly brush on it, but yea, he likely tried talking to Weiss about an exchange similar to how Blake talked to Weiss, and quickly realized that wasn’t going to work for him.

((Not that Weiss didn’t spend three days tirelessly studying to find out how she could make it happen for him anyway))
