Definitely Brothers

Triton sighed. "Honestly brother, you can be quite dull." He gestured his hand palm side up in front of him as though their answer was floating just above. "The solution to our dilemma is as plain as day."

Percy called bullshit.

He crossed his arms in front of him and and leaned over the ancient nautical map, "Okay Mr. I-know-Everything, where do you think Dad’s favorite cup floated off to?"

Triton’s jaw tightened, "I never said I knew where his kylix went." he seethed through his pointed teeth.

"Spit it out then!"

Triton clenched his fist and declared, "We are going to search through every part of the ocean, no stone will be left unturned, no cove will be unexplored, nor will any patch of seaweed be uncombed through. We will find Father’s kylix." He turned his slightly manic gaze towards his rapidly paling brother, "I refuse to be sentenced to another cruel and unusual punishment!"

Triton was alluding to his brief time with Uncle Hades when they accidentally double tail slapped their Dad into unconsciousness. According to Lou, he came back smelling like Mrs. O' Leary's doggy doo doo and slobber for days.

Percy had gotten extremely lucky with Ganymede in Olympus, but he doubted he'd have the same dumb luck the next time around.

He looked down at the map and gulped, he was painfully reminded of how huge his Father’s domain actually was...

"Dad gets back in three days! How in hades do you think we'll ever find it?!" He nearly screeched.

"Through hard work and perseverance!"

"Can't you at least get your barracudas to help us out?"

"They're all out delivering invites to other sea nobles!" Triton crossed over the table and started to haul his squirming brother by his duo dorsal fins, "If I go down to that wretched place again, I'm taking you with me!"

"Aw c'mon!"

This was a small snippet was from a drabble I had started but didn't quite get around to finishing ages ago. Percy and Triton are my favorite dumbasses 😂 I couldn't resist having this scene drawn!
