Hamza Wael Al-Dahdouh, journalist and eldest son of Al Jazeera bureau chief Wael Al-Dahdouh, and journalist Mustafa Thraya, were both martyred about 5-6 hours ago.
This last post to Hamza's stories is chilling, considering he and Mustafa were murdered right after this:
Tumblr media
May they be resting in peace with their loved ones in Jannah.
At least 110 Journalists have been assassinated by the occupation since October 7th, 2023.
Journalists with more followers and engagement are supposed to be more likely to not be martyred by the occupation. Please go follow all the journalists in Gaza and the rest of Palestine that you can across all social media.
And please don't stop talking about Palestine.

May Hamza Al-Dahdouh and Mustafa Thuraya rest in peace. Mr. Wael Al-Dahdouh has been the target of psychological and physical warfare. Say their names!! Israel must face punishment for their war crimes.

Once again IOF has been caught in a lie that cost innocent lives and once again the truth comes out with no fanfare
Tumblr media
From the article:
The Israel Defense Forces said in a statement the next day it had “identified and struck a terrorist who operated an aircraft that posed a threat to IDF troops.” Two days later, the military announced that it had uncovered evidence that both men belonged to militant groups — Thuraya to Hamas and Dahdouh to Palestinian Islamic Jihad, its smaller rival in Gaza — and that the attack had been in response to an “immediate” threat.
This is ALWAYS the explanation to justify targeting unarmed palestinian men and boys. This is almost word for word what they said about the young men they killed in the hospital. But lo and behold, the very next paragraph of the article
The Washington Post obtained and reviewed the footage from Thuraya’s drone, which was stored in a memory card recovered at the scene and sent to a Palestinian production company in Turkey. No Israeli soldiers, aircraft or other military equipment are visible in the footage taken that day — which The Post is publishing in its entirety — raising critical questions about why the journalists were targeted. Fellow reporters said they were unaware of troop movements in the area.
Interviews with 14 witnesses to the attack and colleagues of the slain reporters offer the most detailed account yet of the deadly incident. The Post found no indications that either man was operating as anything other than a journalist that day. Both passed through Israeli checkpoints on their way to the south early in the war; Dahdouh had recently been approved to leave Gaza, a rare privilege unlikely to have been granted to a known militant.
That part is so important because if you understand how difficult it is for Palestinians to leave Gaza you would automatically know Hamza's background was thoroughly checked. The article went on to say,
In response to multiple inquiries and detailed questions from The Post, the IDF said: “We have nothing further to add.”
They have nothing further to add.
THEY HAVE NOTHING FURTHER TO ADD?!!
Hamza and Mustafa were brutally murdered, their families and friends left to grieve them, and the IOF have nothing further to add.
You know what the worst part is? The people who need to see this, like the assholes that jumped on mine and others posts with comments like these,
Tumblr media
they aren't gonna see the truth. Because the truth never gets blasted on the airwaves and on mainstream media the same way the lies do. Which we know and have been saying but it doesn't get any less upsetting when you think about the effects of the lies.
Please please check out the article because Mustafa's last drone footage in its entirety is embedded in there. Also a bit of caution as the drone footage of the IOF strike on the vehicle he and Hamza (as well as two other freelance journalists and the driver) were in is in there as well.

Steven Thrasher wearing a keffiyeh and holding a sign he carried in a protest in Chicago. The sign he made is a photo-collage of journalists slain while covering the Israel's war on Gaza.
In a thread he tells the story of a remarkable encounter which is testimony of the importance of our witness.

Hamza Dahdouh, the eldest son of Al Jazeera’s Gaza bureau chief, Wael Dahdouh, has been killed by an Israeli missile strike in the western part of Khan Younis, Gaza.
Journalist Mustafa Thuraya was also killed in the attack, when the vehicle they were travelling in near al-Mawasi, a supposedly safe area towards the southwest, was struck by the missile. A third passenger, Hazem Rajab, was seriously injured.

by Rachel O'Donoghue
Two incidents came to light over the past week that should be the final nail in Al Jazeera‘s credibility coffin.
The first was the unmasking of one of the network’s journalists as a Hamas commander.
The IDF revealed evidence that was obtained from a laptop found in Gaza and showed Mohammed Wishah held a senior role in the terrorist group’s anti-tank unit, including photographs of him teaching young jihadis how to fire anti-tank missiles and making incendiary devices.
Unsurprisingly, Wishah’s terrorist background did not preclude him from securing a comfortable reporting job at the Qatari-owned network, which has previously been forced to take down fake anti-Israel stories and stands accused of repeatedly promoting Hamas propaganda.
The second incident involved another Al Jazeera journalist, Ismail Abu Omar, whose leg was amputated after being injured in an Israeli air strike in Rafah.
Around the same time that Al Jazeera was describing the injuries Omar sustained as proof of a “full-fledged crime [to be] added to Israel’s crimes against journalists,” it was revealed that Omar accompanied Hamas terrorists into Israel on the day of the October 7 massacre.
In footage that Omar himself posted online on the day of the attacks, he can be seen inside Kibbutz Nir Oz and even praised the Hamas terrorists carrying out the atrocities, saying: “The friends have progressed, may God bless.”
On October 7, he also boasted that Palestinian children would “play with their heads” in reference to massacred Israeli civilians.
Despite the trend of Al Jazeera employees moonlighting as either Hamas supporters or seasoned Hamas terrorists, which included another two journalists being revealed as terror operatives after their deaths in January, the media continue to ignore the unpleasant truth about Al Jazeera.
Indeed, the very same outlets that quite rightly balk at the idea of trusting media controlled by authoritarian regimes, such as Russia Today or the New China News Agency, seem worryingly comfortable with uncritically regurgitating Al Jazeera’s lies. Worse, they seem to actively cover for the network.
Take The Guardian, for example, and its repeated criticism of Russian state-owned media, which it has accused of being “Vladimir Putin’s fake news factories” and of promoting the “Kremlin message.”
But apparently, such ethical concerns don’t extend to uncritically reprinting the claims of an outlet that is effectively owned by an Islamic regime that is headed by the all-powerful Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The Guardian failed to do a modicum of journalistic due diligence when it came to reporting Al Jazeera’s absurd claim that Omar was “directly targeted by a missile fired by a drone.”
Did the article state that Omar accompanied terrorists who murdered and raped civilians during the October 7 massacre? No. Did it reveal that he expressed a wish to see Palestinian kids play with the severed heads of Israelis? No. Did it mention that Al Jazeera is owned by the Qatari state and closely aligned itself with Hamas? Of course not.
The Guardian journalist who wrote the piece, Peter Beaumont, even had the audacity to lament how “Al Jazeera’s Gaza team has paid a particularly heavy price during the war” while referencing the deaths of Hamza Al-Dahdouh and Mustafa Thuraya and omitting the fact that they were terror operatives.
As for Al Jazeera journalist Mohammed Wishah, whose Instagram page includes photos of him with Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar and Ismail Haniyeh, The Guardian failed to cover his exposure as a Hamas commander at all.
Of course, The Guardian wasn’t alone in not reporting the damning revelations about Al Jazeera.
There was silence among mainstream Western news outlets — from CNN to The Washington Post — when the evidence against Mohammed Wishah emerged. It almost defies belief that not a single story was written about a journalist tasked with reporting the facts out of Gaza who was also a Hamas terrorist.
The Knesset has started advancing a bill that would give the government the power to close the offices of foreign media channels that are found to be likely to harm the security of the state, including, potentially Al Jazeera.
But the foreign press attitude toward Al Jazeera remains stubbornly positive.
How much more evidence of the network’s terror ties does the media need for that to change?

The martyr Hamza Wael Al-Dahdouh
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Palestinian journalist and photographer. He worked in the field since the beginning of the aggression. His family, led by his mother and his child, were martyred, without him seeing them and saying goodbye to them. He is the son of the famous journalist, Al Jazeera correspondent, Wael Al-Dahdouh.
He remained patient and patient, stood by his father, worked with him, supported him, and never left the coverage.
He was martyred on January 7, 2024, along with journalist Mustafa Thuraya, after reconnaissance planes bombed a car they were traveling in in the city of Rafah, during their journalistic work.

Hamza El Dahdouh was killed by an IOF airstrike along with another journalist, Mustafa Thuraya. Hamza was the son of Wael El Dahdouh, who lost most of his family in another airstrike in the fall. Hamza was targeted on January 7. He deserved to live. His father and sister must now carry on without him. They all deserve to be together as a family, to live in safety in Gaza. Wael had to evacuate for surgery after he survived multiple attempts on his life. I hold him and his family in my heart, along with all the people in Gaza who are currently being slaughtered.

An investigation by The Washington Post is raising “critical questions” about Israeli justification for the killing of two journalists in Gaza in January. Hamza Dahdouh, the eldest son of Al Jazeera’s Gaza bureau chief Wael Dahdouh, was killed in an Israeli missile attack in Khan Younis, along with another journalist Mustafa Thuraya and their driver. Two others were seriously wounded. In a statement following the attack, the Israeli army said a military aircraft “identified and struck a terrorist who operated an aircraft that posed a threat to [Israeli] troops”. It added, “We are aware of the reports that during the strike, two other suspects who were in the same vehicle as the terrorist were also hit.” According to The Post, the journalists were operating a consumer model drone to capture footage of a building hit during Israeli bombardment. The video from Thuraya’s drone, obtained by The Post, showed no “Israeli soldiers, aircraft, or other military equipment” were visible. The newspaper also interviewed witnesses and colleagues of the reporters, who provided detailed accounts. “The Post found no indications that either man was operating as anything other than a journalist that day. Both passed through Israeli checkpoints on their way to the south early in the war. Dahdouh had recently been approved to leave Gaza, a rare privilege unlikely to have been granted to a known militant,” it said.

These are just from Motaz's and Bisan's stories earlier. There is an outpouring of grief on every palestinian journalist's page today. It's a lot.
Tumblr media
From Saleh.
Hind Khoudary broke down on Al Jazeera while sharing her last conversation with Abu Hamza. I couldn't help but cry with her. How much more of this? This targeting of journalists and their families? This targeting of civilians just walking or riding on the street? In southern Gaza no less. In Rafah, the furthest place south anyone can go, where they were told to go.
Photojournalist Ali Salem Abu Ajwa was also killed today.
Tumblr media
That's 3 in one day and the day isnt over, God forbid. I ask again how much more? May they rest in peace 🕊

Israel admitted they targeted Al Jazeera reporters Hamza Al-Dahdouh (son of Wael Al-Dahdouh, who already lost the majority of his family in another deliberate strike just weeks ago) and Mustafa Thuraya when their car was hit by Israeli airstrike. Israel proudly proclaimed they'd successfully targeted terrorists.

Wael Dahdouh transferred to Egypt for medical treatment
Egyptian authorities succeeded on Tuesday in allowing Palestinian journalist Wael Al-Dahdouh from Gaza to enter the country, responding to a request from the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate. The syndicate issued a statement confirming its communication with Dahdouh upon his arrival on the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing. The syndicate expressed gratitude to the Egyptian state and relevant authorities for facilitating Dahdouh's entry into Egypt for medical treatment. Dahdouh expressed thanks to Egypt, Egyptian journalists, and the syndicate for their support, highlighting their backing for the Palestinian cause. He also thanked his colleagues at Al Jazeera for their support and announced plans to seek treatment abroad. It is worth mentioning that Dahdouh lost several family members due to the ongoing Israeli Occupation aggression on Gaza. On Oct. 25 last year, his wife, son, and daughter were martyred when an Israeli Occupation airstrike targeted the family's shelter in Nuseirat camp in the middle of strip. On Jan. 7, the Israeli Occupation assassinated Hamza Wael Al-Dahdouh and Mustafa Thuraya in an airstrike on their car in Rafah, the southernmost part of the Gaza Strip.
