Tastes gorgeous, but you can tell something's wrong with it. But you can't stop drinking it. Now you've downed two cups and you can feel your brain pinballing around in your head. Your eyes won't close. Your breathing quickens. You could run a three minute mile. You're going to collapse. You feel like a corpse reanimated. It shouldn't feel so good. It shouldn't taste so good. You can't stop thinking. You can't stop laughing. Everything floats around. You're floating too. You lay down in bed and your eyes won't close. You're painfully aware of your breathing. The memory of someone asking if you'd like a drink echoes endlessly in your mind. You shouldn't have said yes.

the problem is I’m such a staunch believer in the slow buildup, the earnest enjoyment of meandering through terrible story decisions and weird nothing subplots to build up into a conclusion that explodes out from all that as fantastic storytelling and intrigue based on all that buildup, such that it makes it necessary to get through all that or you’re missing something essential, that I’m also a terrible person to talk to about what makes a story good. I can tell you plenty of what actually makes something tight and well-written and all that technical speak but how could anyone take my advice when I so so so love excruciatingly long unnecessarily complex fumbling and weird nonsense that spirals into, inexplicably, weird nonsense that makes you cry your lungs sore

To him #oh and the plating is also held on with magn- I mean magic so that during the Epilogue some pieces can either be lost #or he just doesn't have enough magic to spare to keep all of them on #I like how the legs look at a glance like they could be fully mechanical but they barely are at all. It's all about facades with Maggie #although in Deluxe it's not really much of a secret that he's a wizard #that's also why they're made to look like cat legs #because I decided the Ancients are actual catboys LOL #I don't know why he lost his legs btw I just though prosthetics would be nice for all the logistical and character and aesthetic reasons #he can still fly/levitate without them btw it's just less taxing this way and he doesn't have to have his wings out.
