Why is this important?
- To serve as a physical tribute/document to the stellar talent of women working creatively today, as LFF blog serves as a platform for them online.
- To display the wide range of women working creatively -- not just diversity of media, subject matter or location/background/culture, but of perspective within the arts and within feminism.
- To let readers find work that grabs them to look the artists up to find out more about their work as a patron, collaborator or fan.
- To introduce new conversations between works as they are curated in the book.
- To be a beautiful and inspiring book to leaf through or relish in.

LFF was created and is curated by Sally Deskins. LFF Books is a micro-feminist press that publishes 1-2 books per year by the creators of Les Femmes Folles including the award-winning Intimates & Fools (Laura Madeline Wiseman, 2014) and The Hunger of the Cheeky Sisters: Ten Tales (Laura Madeline Wiseman/Lauren Rinaldi, 2015).
