Back from AnimeNorth 2024, besides injuring myself and ruining my cosplay on the first day this was probably the most fun i've had at a con post 2020! The amount of friends i got to make and meet again was super nice and the Undertale Deltarune meetup was a ton of fun, i cant wait to see and share the photos when they get posted :D

WELCOME TO THE GOLDEN FLOWER FESTIVAL!

For those of you who don’t know, this is an RP event taking place from today (tuesday) to Saturday evening! I’ll be answering replies whenever I’m online! The setting will be one of ebotts biggest celebrations, the golden flower festival, a spring celebration of the arts and culture of ebott!

This year is extra special! The festival is being held all around Portland, a city next to the ocean full of docks. Normally any sort of trade and skipping ships dock there, but they’re being redirected to all the smaller seaside towns for these few days. And it’s also the first major festival that’s completely hadal accessible! All the shopping and events will take place on the docks and beaches around the ocean. Many ships have also volunteered as spots to host events.

This year’s art theme will be blacksmithing. All the art contests and shows will center around metal works.

Activities to do:

Visit the shops of course! Artists and artisans of all kinds fight for a booth in this fair, so there will be all kinds of goodies!

What’s a fair without fair games? Of course there will be many booths looking to rip you off for the chance to win a cheap stuffed animal! So much fun!

Also this fair is literally on the beach, so find a clearer spot and enjoy the sand and water! Because of how many aquatic monsters will be around, fishing with any sort of hook or nets are strictly prohibited in Portland for the week.

See the art show! There’s four sections being judged: small works, large works, weapons and machines! All got blacksmiths and metalworkers of course!

Visit seaweed mall! While it’s not as big as the metta mall in hotland, it is a nice mall and was the first one built in ebott. Seaweed mall is special for selling brands from outside of ebott. So it’s mostly catered to humans but most brands are slowly making monster geared items too!

There’s gonna be a school play on one of the navy ships docked about the story of ambassador frisk when they first fell underground. It has two showings, a day apart. Ambassador frisk has no comments about the play lol

There’s also gonna be a cosplay contest on the same ship at different times. Ebotts first comic con group paid some serious gold to advertise this and are hoping to draw out more fans for the con coming up in may. No theme, just show up as a character you love.

The royals presiding over this festival will be King, Summer, Olympia, Titanic (and to a lesser extent, toriel miss and asgore) so there’s a small chance to run into them.

The biggest show will be a meet and greet with some of ebotts biggest stars! The big three: mettaton, napstablook and fallentron (or felltron) will be the main guests, but there’s also a chance to run into Goldentron (fellswap gold) and silverblook (swapfell) throughout the festival.

My take on StoryShift

I'll probably do individual designs and info but the basics are

Napstablook and Mettaton were humans. That fell into the underground together and perished when trying to merge their souls to help escape to the surface. Napstablook was reborn as Echo the Echo Flower. And Mettaton is a Spectre that guides you (also has prosthetic limb)

Papyrus is the guardian of the Icy Ruins. He is friendly and sort of the cool uncle type. He was the kings brother and advisor but went to the Ruins to make friends.

Chara is not really human but not really monster either. They're a mischievous prankster and love messing with people. They also really love chocolate specifically dark chocolate. They hide their true face behind an eerie mask

Asriel is training to be in the Royal Guard. He doesn't actually care about being in the Royal Guard but wants to impress his mother. His true passion is crafts. He feels like a failure because he doesn't meet his mother's expectations

Toriel is the strict captain of the Royal Guard. She's hard on her kids but doesn't realize how much it hurts them. She's a tired grouchy old lady and should probably retire soon. Few people see her caring motherly side

Asgore is the Royal Scientist. He's more of a botanist and all the amalgamates are plant themed now. He's goofy and clumsy dad and sadly doesn't have much time for his family though he loves them dearly. He created Undynes robot body with the help of Sans and Papyrus a few years back

Undyne was injured while in training to join the royal guard and her soul was preserved in a robot body. She became a professional wrestler. Specifically a luchador. She hungers for a real fight

Alphys is a spooky Japanese Hopping Zombie. Is she a ghost or is it just cosplay? She'll never tell. She's shy and timid so she hangs out in the Icy Ruins though she can't stay long due to being cold blooded

Sans is the lazy king of the underground. He's usually sleeping and thanks to his big fluffy cloak he can fall asleep standing up. He doesn't like fighting and would rather laze about......but he made a promise to his kingdom....and he hates breaking promises

cool music ghost stuff- any chance you've heard/enjoy Ghosts by Ladytron (i know abt it from LBP!) and did you ever like deadmou5 or napstablook undertale!?

no I'd never heard of ladytron before :0 but now that I'm listening I kinda dig ghosts :] it doesn't quite give me that haunting feeling but I like it hehe

I used to listen to deadmau5 back in high school but I kinda fell off at some point, then he outed himself as a transphobe. :( I do remember liking his music but it wasn't anything too special to me

and yes I do know napstablook!! they were the first character I ever cosplayed, way back in 2016. I'm quite fond of them 😊

Mettaton and or Muriel for character bingo?

mettaton: MTT MY BELOVED!!!!! from the ages of 14 to 16 i was completely obsessed with him. i self shipped with him. i displayed prints of him on my walls. he was my first and so far only cosplay. i consumed hundreds of thousands of words of fanfiction about him. papyton was everything to me despite them never even interacting in canon. he was my home and lockscreen on every device. if you compile all the hours together, i have listened to death by glamour for probably several days. his relationships with alphys and napstablook are some of the best written parts of the game imo. never really forgave toby fox for excluding him from the final battle in the true pacifist ending. he transed my gender.

muriel: sweet muriel! i like him a completely normal amount. no, really. he's not my type of character, but i still think he's great even if i don't think about him much. ABSOLUTELY gets done the dirtiest by both the creators and the fans. muriel deserved a better route of his own, and he deserved to not be treated like a plot device in the other routes; julian and portia's routes are most guilty of this, but there's flavours of it in asra's route too (fucking justice book my beloathed). tldr; muriel you're amazing, your source material just sucks fat nuts
