More pidge hanging out with one of their sculptures, this time w/o the headphones (which are automatic if you’re listening to audio from a different app outside of sky, so long as you don’t have a hair accessory already present). I figure the horns could be a reference to her being a ‘gremlin’, and their monsters n mana persona too. Also I read somewhere that her mm persona was originally going to be a cat eared character like Pike but that was changed for Lance instead, so there’s that too, plus the cat hairstyle is one of the only hairstyles I have that I feel could represent Pidge (maybe keith too but for different reasons, but for now I gave him a different one since I settled on it for pidge)

Pidge is my least favorite character overall because of the way she talks about lance and since Pidge served as an author insert/favorite, you know it comes from the heart. Literally never said a nice thing about him and she calls him stupid and ugly every time. And it really sucks how the fandom tolerated her tasing him with her weapon for a harmless joke he made, even laughed about it with her. Some friend.

So the main thing about Pidge and Lance in my opinion is that they shouldn't have been friends. Their dynamic would have worked best if it had been brother and sister (or siblings, if Pidge is nb for you).

I know I've talked about this before, so I'm not going to get too deep into it, but to me that would have been logical, as - from what I can remember - Lance was the one who behaved the closest to how Matt behaved, and this would have caused Pidge to gravitate toward him on some subconscious level.

And, okay, hear me out. I haven't ever seen the tasing incident as being quite as bad as how everyone else seems to view it?

Maybe because, like, would I tase my own brother and laugh about it? Yeah. Without a doubt. Because he would do the same to me. Would I also defend the fuck out of him if someone was actually being mean or rude or even slightly unkind? Absolutely.

And I do understand the reason why people such as yourself are so angry about the way Pidge treated Lance, because they were missing that second part.

And that second part makes a world of difference.

Other than obviously making Lotidge canon, if you could change anything in VLD what would it be?

I'd give Lotor the redemption arc it seemed he was intended to have. I can't go too into it here, because for me to do it justice I need time to prepare all the visuals as well as sources and history was what was happening at the time. But it seems like Lotor was meant to have a bigger story is season 8 that we never saw but there are still a lot of tiny glimpses of. If you want to see that (probably very spiteful) post, feel free to ask me about it some time.

Secondly, I'd give Pidge a love interest arc (with or without Lotor). Because as someone who HEAVILY identifies with Pidge I'm tired of that type of girl (Tomboy/tech girl or NB) not getting romantic arcs. (this is also something that could easily turn into a rant and i CAN get into in a later date if anyone's interested). And I'd use this to explore Pidge a bit more beyond her family ties (like explore if she could possibly be neurodivergent, and if she's NB and stuff)

I'd actually only make Lotidge canon if it could've been done well, which would take 1 of 2 things: Getting to the series before season 5 or 6 (which really started the Allura and Lotor route), or after a certain pretty boy ended up in the quintessence field, pulling a Honerva/Hagger and literally wiping his memories.

I'd would have also returned the Lions to the Original Paladins and have used Lotor's ship to make Allura her own Lion.

I'd want Hunk to have an Arc all about thinking of Leaving Voltron after awhile to be with SHay and expand his culinary career.

Explore the Altean's searching for their own planet.

Explore Matt's time as a rebel a bit more.

The problem isn't what I would do, it's what I wouldn't do, and how many seasons/spin off's it would take to do everything I tihnk the sereis had the potential for.

i also liked klance a lot! their dynamic was really fun from the start, with them being rivals and whatnot! i especially started liking klance after their whole "bonding moment", i don't know why, i thought it was very nice :)

tbh yeah,, it was super disappointing how they handled the found family aspect outside of keith and shiro:( i wouldve loved to see more episodes focusing on them as a team, and just bonding together on screen

one part that i did really like was early in the show, when shiro discovered that pidge was katie and they had their conversation where he promised not to tell if pidge wasnt ready :) really gave shiro that older sibling vibe in my opinion!!

i honestly love the nb pidge hc though bc representation is always nice and from the start i thought pidge was very non-comforming, even when they did wear dresses and more "feminine" clothing and such

but honestly. i have so many hcs for that show hahahah, its still a very important show to me bc i started watching it with my then-best friend and have such fond memories of it :) i recently rewatched it actually and while it had its flaws and all, it was still very enjoyable imo

Literally have SO many headcanon and little rewrites in my head. Voltron is cream of the crop as far as dissapointing shows with an interesting premise and likeable characters go.

Idk what convinced me to ship klance tbh i just liked their dynamic and the potential. And i agree the moment with Pidge and Shiro was very sweet, though i always felt so weird about him just saying their name like that without asking WHY pidge was going by something else. But that can be boiled down to the writing not being the best especially in its handling of queer themes.

i forgot how deep i was into this show. i knew episode 1 beat for beat nearly word for word. christ.

the food jokes are still bad and Hunk deserved better

WHY !!! is there voltron on the dash.... i liked voltron. back in the day. like, in s1. good premise. i was so into pidge oh my god... they were like,, the first vaguely extremely milquetoasted genderfucked character i ever did see & also thats literally what i looked like in middle school. so i was like. holy fucking shit u can do that???? & incessantly read like, in retrospect painfully 2016 flavored fic abt them being nb. but man,, that show did have potential fr some of the images still r living in my head... i mean. it was so bad. but it could have not been bad.....
