It’s def looking better! I don’t dare to be too hopeful just yet bc I keep having better patches but, my head has been more clear recently and the bad thoughts have been like, not any less but I’ve been able to reason with them if that makes sense? But writing this down definitely did help kind of figure out all in all what was going on to myself too bc it’s been kind of blurry tbh. Thank you, I love you too <3

12. How do they like to dress?

Valdis wears heavy plate most of the time in-game and I think she feels most comfortable in that. you know, well-protected and everything. out of armor I think she prefers comfortable, practical clothes. think fantasy sweatpants. and scarves!!

I don’t think I’ve ever really drawn her in her everyday clothes. I should get to that maybe someday.

20. Fears?

HOOOO BOY

firstly, losing her friends. she’s scared that if she doesn’t protect them well enough, they’ll die and it’ll be her fault. her party is her priority number one right now but she also worries about her old mercenary friends.

Valdis is also kind of afraid of horses. they’re big and suspicious and she doesn’t trust them.

61. When bored, how do they pass time?

lately she’s picked up praying. when you multiclass as paladin, you gotta start connecting to your new god.

Valdis also likes to take care of her weapons and armor and listen to other people talk. tldr; she likes eavesdropping. I also think she’d play dice games against herself or go talk to her party.

99. Biggest accomplishment?

oh gosh um. Valdis has a long list of failures but accomplishment??

I always bring up that they killed a god. they’ve killed now two so that’s pretty awesome.

no wait I actually have a story here which I’m very fond of.

so okay, the party was on a cliff that was above a garden that we were supposed to infiltrate. since Valdis and the party’s nature paladin aren’t very sneaky, it was decided that they’d stay on the cliff and watch the rope which the rest of the party used to lower themselves to the garden. so, Valdis and the pally stayed there, kind of twiddling their thumbs and being awkward (they don’t get along super well). both of us failed our perception checks and a baby tarrasque managed to sneak up on us. after a small scuffle and a nat1 on performance roll the paladin was convinced that it only wanted to smell us, and he sit down. Valdis figured that if the paladin stayed up there with the advancing tarrasque that was already opening its mouth, he’d be dead, so Valdis grabbed him (an adult human man wearing heavy armor) and swung off the cliff, hanging off the cliffside with one arm while holding the ragdolling paladin up with the other. the baby tarrasque didn’t pursue them and eventually left, and Valdis heaved the paladin back up on the cliff. and that took SEVERAL strength saves on disadvantage. she’s just so strong and I love her.

25. What do they find funny? Do they have a good sense of humour? Are they funny themselves?

Ceci might have fun with light hearted things, but most of the things that gives her a good laugh can only be described by schadenfreude and she’s a gallows humor type of person, although she mostly gets satisfaction out of specific people’s misfortunes, not everyone’s. Still, only a couple of people might enjoy her sense of humor, people who shares such sense of humor.

Often times she might slip something here and there and the satisfaction is even greater when no one catches it. For example, Ceci has a thing for infiltrating fancy gatherings (even tho she solely does it because of her job) and after the whole beast-thing ordeal, she’s acquired an exquisite taste for you know what.

At some point she’s in this fancy masquerade ball, or just a fancy gathering of nobles. She’s under a made up Dame title and no one really questions it because she’s got the manners, the beauty and (some of) the combat prowess if she ever needs to show it. A baron or a viscount welcomes her to the table and comments on the incoming feast which will feature a wide variety of meat and poultry, to which Ceci replies “Explendid! I’ll be looking forward to those noble cuts.“

She eats the rich, quite literally.

38. What do they admire in others? What talents do they wish they had?

She admires selflessness (even tho she seems selfish most of the time) and charity. As for talents, she wishes she could play any kind of instrument, maybe more so piano or harp, or learn how to properly sing, but it’s not something she can afford to do (at least time-wise, I’m sure she could wing a way to, but she lacks time).

44. What is their favourite season? Type of weather? Are they good in the cold or the heat? What weather do they complain in the most?

Given her current condition, she def loves winter, and fall is still right there. Again, due her lil hairy condition, summer is bad. Her beasty self can be compared to huskies, she’s best fit for winter. Heat puts her in a foul mood as almost everything she does she sweats. She can also appreciate a light rain, as long as she isnt getting soaking wet it’s all fine.

Rave!

9. Do animals like them? Do they get on well with animals?

BOI, I’m so glad you asked this, because here’s the thing: They dont. Rave tries, but animals dont trust her, well.. majority of them at least.

They all see Rave for what she is, a walking skeleton that exudes an air of Death and an uneasy aura of the Abyss. Despite Rave being a good skelly with the best intentions in the whole world, animals flee the moment they catch a glimpse of her. Because they can see her real form 24/7.

Being cloaked head to toe tones things down a bit, but her hood still feels ominous to them and her general presence just makes them anxious. They all freak out when they see her face.

The only exception to this is some types of birds. Crows, ravens, vultures and some types of owls dont feel threatened by her presence, even though they too see her for what she is. Sometimes they’ll even follow her around.

Also, if there’s one animal that should stay far away from her, it’s horses. They panic so bad it often leads to tragedy (that one scene from The Ring, but can actually be even worse; a whole band of crusaders can die trampled by their own horses while Rave is just standing still like 20 or so meters away from the charging cavalry).

27. What makes them sad? Do they cry regularly? Do they cry openly or hide it? What are they like they are sad?

Betrayal (altho it later causes ultimate anger) as well as others’ suffering makes her sad. She cries here and there, whenever something manages to bypass her optimism.

She tries to hide it, but fails miserably. She tries to keep this 100% optimistic and hopeful figure. If something hits her bad and someone is near her, she tries to play it cool with little jokes and then giggling, of which gradually trembles into weeping.

A sad Rave is a quiet Rave, she also ends up isolating herself. Part of it is due the fact that, given whatever kind of being she currently is, the Dark that emanates from her can shift bystanders’ emotions to ones similar to hers. Her weeping can cause others to feel a sense of dread, hopelessness or anxiety.

48. Do they enjoy any parties? If so what kind? Do they organise the party or just turn up? How do they act? What if they didn’t want to go but were dragged along by a friend?

She does ofc! Otherwise she wouldnt be called Ravelord. Despite her time setting being far away from raves, she can kinda arrange it with prism stones for a colorful glowing field. You can count on her to showing up and/or to organize it. She’ll dance alot, she’ll also summon skellies for a group dance. A good party will always cheer her up as well.

It’s a thing even in combat. She buffs her allies with a lil dance.

Helena!

21. Do they have a temper? Are they patient? What are they like when they do lose their temper?

Helena is pretty calm and patient, the most she’ll do when things go awry is raise her voice and then she walks away from the discussion when no common ground can be met. It takes her a very unreasonable and stubborn person to get her to this point tho.

23. Do they have a good memory? Short term or long term? Are they good with names? Or faces?

She has a pretty good memory, on both terms. She might not remember every single name of people she’s met some good time ago, but she’ll remember them if they can tie it to an event (like, “From that one battle” or “that one day”, then she’ll instantly remember them). She’s better with faces than with names, but it takes her a long time for her to forget a name.

49. What is their most valued object? Are they sentimental? Is there something they have to take everywhere with them?

She keeps her very first Sunlight medal with her, even tho she has a whole bunch of them, her First means alot to her. Although, something that she carries everywhere with her is definitely her boar helm. It’s how people recognize her tbh.

Since the boar helm is a helm made out of a severed armored boar head, she wears it as a symbol of pride. Her history with it can be compared to Heracles and the Nemean Lion.

(Bonus: any specific day in the story?)Maybe Celia from The Night Circus because she can create breathtakingly beautiful things with magic. Specific day, hmm... There was some sort of dinner party at one point in the book where she hung out with the other main character, so let’s say that day.

36: Name a book you consider to be terribly overratedThe Fault in Our Stars. It was an addictive book but I felt the story somewhat lacked substance, the romance wasn’t very believable and the dialogue annoyed me from time to time.

Kill Team Campaign - Introductions to the teams

Elucidian Starstriders (played by @raddigested) Elucidian Starstriders are a rogue trader group comprised from all sorts of folks all over the Empire. That’s what the Starstriders’ commander Elucia Vhane had always prided herself with, surrounding herself with the best people she could, who also wanted the same as she. There was no glory to be found in this universe at war, but money, money was always to be made. Members: 1. Larsen van der Grauss (Comms) 2. Elucia Vhane (Commander, Strategist) 3. The Deathpack (played by @raddigested) The Deathpack consists of Space Wolves, who all have, at one point in their lives, served as part of Deathwatch. After returning to their home chapter, the members had been recruited to the Deathpack, Ragnar Blackmane’s Great Company’s special order of Deathwatch veterans. With special arms and ammunition, mementos from Deathwatch service, these men, led by Brother-Sergeant Rolf take on tasks few else would dare to take. Members: 1. Brother-Sergeant Rolf (Leader) 2. They are on a strange planet, and don’t recognize their former comrades anymore, but there’s a smell in the air; something familiar, something just like them that draws them near. Members: 1. Adeptus Mechanicus (played by @nemossubmarine) Kill Team XZ / 370 was a team made up of experimental Mechanicus, sporting add-ons no standard Mechanicus could claim to have. They were tasked with retrieval of lost relics, a task they performed outstandingly, until a mission to a far off planet ended with their mechanical parts to gain feelings and sensations they hadn’t had before. XZ / 370 was unsure what caused the change; was it radiation or something worse? Their leader, now known as Eden, ordered them to continue on their missions. Perhaps they could avoid having this change detected and flee to the vastness of space, before anyone noticed and wanted them fixed? Members: 1. TI-84 or Tora 2. Setup:

This story starts with the Starstriders, rogue traders ready to take just about any job that would pay enough, led by the gorgeous Elucia Vhane receiving a rather lucrative offer. A kill team of Adeptus Mechanicus had apparently broken down. They had still continued on their mission to a distant moon of Plilia C-550 by the name of Iethea, and it was now crucial they would not complete this mission, or there would be no knowing who would be getting their hands on the precious artefacts they were hunting. An easy enough job, right? Elucia barely glanced at the missive before accepting; there was no way this would ever go bad.

It was Elucia’s communications officer, Larsen van der Grauss, an AdMech himself, who read through the missive. A name jumped out among the list of the broken down kill team’s members; K303 2:82, or as Larsen had once known him, Melchor Mendoza. Mendoza had never been a pleasant man, and there had always been something off about him. He had been a brutal, ruthless murderer. If there was even a slim chance the rest of the Mechanicus had became like him, Larsen wouldn’t want to face them alone. He brought this to Elucia’s attention, who rolled her eyes but took his advice to heart.

A kill team called the Deathpack made of Space Wolves who had returned from Deathwatch, was in the vicinity, so Elucia asked them to join in this mission. Perhaps the dirty work of actually dealing with the malfunctioning bots could be left for them, and Elucia could still get most of the reward, and the artefacts.

They hadn’t even gotten to Iethea before things started to go bad. It had started with strange noises at the engine rooms of the Starstriders’ ship. What emerged from the depths of the ships were no longer human, but infected mashes of metal and flesh, accompanied by chittering, maddening daemons of the Void. The Starstriders had to make a rather hasty landing. 

Maybe this wasn’t going to be as easy as they thought. But there was no way the Gellerpox infestation on the ship and the broken Mechanicus could be related... Right?

Another vote for tiefling, I love it~ Also bard/paladin?? Dude my two favorite classes together??? Amazing, although I think I just lack any kind of muscle to be a paladin but I would love to be one xD
