Sometimes, I enjoy sitting down to write letters, and what a lovely pastime it is

I write letters to everyone

To my mom, to my dad, to my brother, to my sister, but my favorite person to write them to?

Is my beloved

She’s the light of my life, my other half, heck, I’m not sure how I’ve ever lived without her

She’s so perfect. Ah, I remember the day we met

I sat there, engaging in my usual after-work busking, singing and playing guitar

And time itself stopped as she walked past

I couldn't hear, see, or think anything. The only thoughts going through my mind were about her

She was the sun, and I wanted to be her Earth

So I wrote her a letter. A letter to a woman who I didn’t even know the name of. A woman who I had never seen before

A woman who I might never see again

And yet, and yet, I had hope

I had hoped I’d see her again. And that was fuel enough for me

And lo and behold, I had seen her pass by the next day. She was kind enough to flash me a smile

And as she turned to leave, I handed her a letter

A letter addressed to “the girl with the rose in her hair, the one who stole my heart with a glance”

And signed, from the “lowly mailman”

I anticipated her to be weirded out. I thought she’d be scared. I thought she’d hate me

But lo and behold,

The next day, I received a letter from her

Addressed to “the talented busker”

And signed, from the “amnesic schoolgirl”

And oh, how she had made my heart melt. I adored her so much.

I think that it was at that moment, in which I had completely fallen for her,

In that moment, I wanted nothing more,

Than to be hers

And the letters came, and they went. The letters were here, and then there

“To the mysterious mailman, from the clumsy slacker”,

“To the goddess of beauty, from the sappy emo”

“To my dearest Iori, from your beloved Sakurako”

Ok so neruke headcannon/theory

So basically uh

Fai is friends with Idola and Raku

HEAR ME OUT OKAY

So you see in the Idola circus PV that Idola wears the generic Japanese school uniform? Fai wears the exact same uniform in the illustrations of 21st century exemplify. 

And before you come at me saying “oH bUT mANy SCHooLs iN jAPan uSe THAt unIFOrM” this is neruke okay? 

Raku seems to wear a black uniform, so that either means she’s from a different school, or she’s a senior. But there’s a lot of theories that Raku and Idola know each other so we’re just gonna use information from those.

Idola and Fai actually have a lot in common, there’s one line in Idola circus that says “We know, we know, your true nature” and the description for 21st century exemplify says “That's not your true nature, is it? Then, who is?” So I’m assuming Fai and Idola have an acquaintance with each other (?) 

So in conclusion if Fai and Idola know each other than Fai should also know Raku. Or Raku’s Idola’s senior.

like i actually genuinely hate how fandom has moved to discord servers. like 6 years ago the neruke fandom fucking disappeared so i moved on even though i didn't really want to, only to find out they've all been in a discord server this whole time and i just never thought to connect the dots. i never knew fandom involved asking strangers for links to stuff like that, i never even thought of it. and now it's been years and i have no clue how to get back into it, how to feel like i'm a part of anything when i don't create anything or have anything to add to the conversation.

Hey, hi, look what I've drawn, I know you adore Datsugoku, and for the last six months I've been doing nothing but drawing these two :D (Please talk to me, I have found all the people in my country who love datsugoku and I want more)

Six months— such dedication whoa

That sure is a drawing of Kuina leaning very close to Kawasemi wow. The sketches of the two referenced from their concept art… the folds and details on Kawasemi’s clothes especially are so nice. Feels like I could get a sense of how tight or loose the clothes might be. Also the vibrant orange colours stand out against the blue in the fourth artwork. It feels like they’re trying to rest during an intense moment.

May I ask what the Russian handwriting says?

For the last sketch, it’s like his blindfold’s movement is suddenly stopped by how stiff his pose is, in a momentary feeling. The perspective and the intense expression really adds to it.

I miss thinking about them sometimes; thank you so much for showing me your art. Do you have any headcanons about them, or thoughts about the song/music video in general?
