It’s okay to admit that your fav made a mistake. It doesn’t make you less of a fan and it doesn’t mean you have to stop liking them.

This is what a lot of the loudest "activists" who claim to support a certain cause do these days. I say claim, because they do nothing good for the cause (and sometimes only harm it) while also harming other people who are already suffering.

anyways not doing any further label discourse on here, how u label urself and what a label means to u is entirely up to urself and no one else and anyone who tells u otherwise can shut the fuck up like its not that deep, words inherently just mean what meaning u give to them and theyre words FOR YOU and ABOUT YOU and only u decide what u are.

fundamentally I think it’s an asshole move to drag indigenous peoples into one of the worlds great trash fire discourses to prove various points, but one of the most unhinged things about the Antisemitism Log is how deeply so many of these people are not in any way cognizant of the fact turtle island is a massive, massive and far more powerful colony and settler state, so ideologically powerful it has been normalized in their minds like
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I know this might come as a surprise, but “Vermont” “long island” and “Florida” are all settler colonies. These jokes about “where to send Israelis” are literally just repeated suggestions to make more settler colonies, showing that no one has actually critically unpacked the problematic ideological tenets of Zionism to begin with beyond “something Jewish I don’t like” because they are literally. Suggesting. The same thing. All over again. I know they’re jokes but the combo of antisemitism and normalization of settler colonialism is really really disconcerting

About a decade ago I posted a very amateurish attempt at a very tricky needlework style to a Facebook group and one person said something shitty about how bad it was. I don't remember the words but I remember how pathetic it made me feel, and I didn't touch that type of embroidery again.
It took until two days ago for something sufficiently cool to bolster me enough to try even an adjacent kind of needlework. It was much less amateurish, not because I improved (I haven't TRIED in ten fucking years) but because I have enough money to own better materials than I did when I was in my early twenties.
Not that it would have mattered if I was indeed just shit at it. Don't be an asshole to people who are trying out your craft, even if they are really bad at it. They won't get any better because you were an asshole. They'll just stop trying. And you won't remember ten years later that it even happened, but your craft will have one less person in it than it might have.

Conversations on here will basically be like
"Hey these new reproductive rights issues are affecting trans men too so let's make sure we include them in the conversation, instead of calling it women's health issues."
"Would you stop complaining? Trans women have it worse than trans men. TERFs want to kill us but only detransition you."
"If living as the gender you are not is so easy why would you transition in the first place? Obviously trans people transition because they can't live with existing as a gender they are not. Obviously "just going back" isn't an option because we often fail to behave the way we're expected to anyway. Forcing any trans person to detransition is a death sentence in and of itself."
"Why are you always speaking over transfems when we talk about transmisogynistic violence???"

I hate whataboutism. I'm very careful in not partaking in it. At most, I will point out when the other party is using it.
Yet, somehow we are always being pointed fingers at. Always a butt of a joke. Stop talking about Ukraine, what about [insert country name], stop supporting Ukrainians, about [insert country name], you support Ukraine? It's so cringe about [insert country name]? What about what about what about.
As if we are not still living in fear every day, as if we aren't facing a wide range of difficulties, starting with mental health problems, to lose of home, to loss of life in horrific ways.
I'm tired of people seeing some new conflict arising, and immediately going "Imagine if this happened in Ukraine" in this holier than thou tone, implying we are faking our suffering and loss. Yeah, faking. The increase of disabled people on streets, people with prosthetic limbs, it's just a coincidence. The emotional numbness to new shellings is faking. Yeah yeah I'm completely fine over Nova Poshta bombing, I just hate myself more for it. Not knowing whether I survive this at all is faking. These white blondes with blue yes are living luxurious lives of eating out at McDonald's on an honest taxpayers money from USA!
What about [insert country name]?
P. S. On unrelated note, here's a photo of one of buildings in Mariupol. Any ideas why it's only the lift shaft and what happened to the flats?

Do you pray for the hostages too?
Yes. I pray for the 110 or so israeli and immgrant hostages assumed to still be alive. And I also pray for the hundreds of Palestianian hostages arrested without charge in Israeli prisons assumed to be alive.
I pray for a ceasefire so that the Israeli hostages are released. I also pray for the end of Israeli apartheid government, so that Palestianians are liberated.

nice to know that the core aussie belief of "it's my right to remain ignorant and docile to any politic issue that doesn't affect me personally" is alive and well in this country I say with complete and utter sarcasm

i honestly think one thing gentile non-palestinian leftists need to do urgently is eradicate the idea from your mind that zionism is somehow good for jewish people. we pay lip service to the fact that antizionism isn't antisemitism, that jewish people aren't inherently associated with the state of israel, even that israel doesn't keep jews safe; yet the subtle implication that jews ultimately benefit from zionism creeps into our arguments.
zionism has fostered fundamentalism and pushed jewish communities globally to the right, marginalised and outright erased disaporic cultures, and has contributed to the near-disappearance of entire judaic languages. the zionist project exacerbates antisemitism and then warps discussions of it, encouraging the same dual-loyalty myths and racialised categorisation that were popular in nazi germany. it courts antisemitic christian fundamentalists who fund it because of their apocalyptic beliefs which ultimately involve the annihilation or conversion of all jews, and provides a smokescreen for antisemites who want to push jews from their own countries. and it isolates, incriminates, silences, and arrests the many, many jews who speak out against it.
i don't say this to try and decentre palestinian suffering at this time, hence why this isn't directed at palestinians, but i think it's incredibly important for the integrity of our arguments to recognise unequivocally that zionism is not beneficial to jewish people either.

One of my least favorite genres of article doing numbers with the goyim rn on their hunt for good Jews is the im Jewish and I don’t feel any connection with Israel or Jews in Israel (that would be bad bad nationalism) instead I will die in the holy land, which is New York
like first off
a) many Jews feel connections with other Jews and ha’aretz that are infinitely older than Zionism and it’s in everyone but especially antizionism’s interest we don’t unilaterally equate ahavat yisrael with the state of Israel, especially when Jews are reaching across borders emotionally in light of mass antisemitism
but also
b) you don’t think New York is a settler colony?

You know what really gets me when I see tankies discuss Holodomor?
Not even the brainless pieces of shit who unironically go "Lmao they deserved it for hoarding grain, Stalin should've killed more".Those are disgusting, yes,but they aren't even the worst ones.
It's the slimy pseudo-intellectual ones who about arguing about the semantics of genocide or "western propaganda" and "western narratives" or cherry-picked sources that point towards Stalin being good, actually, tossing in some academic publications with Anglo-Saxon names attached, maybe, as if this was some hypothetical scenario or a political debate with no real life people involved. As if it was a bloody fandom. Because those people? They could (and would) just as easily argue the Holocaust away as well if it suited their political goals.
Political theory and academic debate and semantics are all fine and good but sometimes you need to get your head out of your favorite dead political theorist's ass long enough to acknowledge a real, tangible thing that happened to real, tangible people.

emperor of mankind really is so funny. like you have him as this savior of humanity type figure who is shown time and time again to be incredibly fallible but because hes a 14ft literally glowing immortal man with divine power spilling out from his eyes and a straight up halo on his head bursting with the collective knowledge of mankind it means that hes been fruitlessly putting his hand on peoples shoulders for the last 40k years going "I AM NOT GOD" and its doubly hilarious because hes like a redditor level athiest.
