US Will Not Sanction Israeli Battalions despite Admitting Human Rights Violations

Oh gee, I mean as long as they're "taking steps to correct it" I guess it's ok. Are they serious with this crap? The only thing they'll correct is to try not to be so obvious about it. And keep in mind that the acts that got them reported on in the first place happened prior to October 7th so they can't use their favorite BS line about how "things happen in war". A logic that only applies until something happens to them.

You can hate Hamas all you want but if you're being honest, you wouldn't accept the disingenuous offer from Israel either. It literally calls for Hamas to release all captives and then have things go right back to the way they were before. Israel does not have to change a single thing. No one in their right mind would agree to this. Israel and the US know that but put it out there anyway so they can claim that they've tried to negotiate but that it's Hamas' fault for rejecting the (ridiculous) terms. BTW, actual International law clearly states that an occupying force CANNOT use a claim of "self defense". Using the "logic" that Israel operates on, all of WWII would have been "self defense" if you can use that when you invade a territory.
