🎃 Live Reports & Behind the scenes Pt.2

According to the interview from some audiences after the reveal of 6th’s and 7th’s cast, they thought it’s funny that team Bad Boy felt oddly cool to them, while on the other hand, team Hero were also cool but with even more chaotic vibes than the previous one —Everyone did wonder in unison that what went through the organizer’s head when they decided to put them together. Well, Raiden and Saji were the only exceptions since both of them were naturally pretty dedicated to their team titles.

Raiden got a bit carried away as he started laughing like some maniac by the end of his show. And in consequence of that, his temporary teammates were just… letting him be before all left the scene like nothing happened.

Since the beginning of the 9th show, the ladies of team “SolaLune Fairies” were seen solemnly walking out of the backstage with a dark long veil covering most part of their face and their outfits. Each of them were also noted to hold a bouquet with different flowers. Lola were red tulips, Evelyn were blue roses, Moriko were sunflowers, and Miku were moon orchids. But once the first beat of the song dropped out, they suddenly changed their moods and threw their veils away ...showing off their party dresses which were delicately designed just for each of them (ultimate kudos were given to those from the costume team). Thus, the true catwalk showdown began! 

After all the teasing to throw their bouquets to the audience like in the wedding, it was still unknown who those ladies decide to give their bouquets to at the end. Maybe it was their lover/ bestie or etc. Who knows anyway? But as the show title hinted, they might probably give it to their fairest…

Before the 10th show starts, the camera caught Kanade having a high-five with Lola in the same fashion as those two boys from the first half. 

Despite not being much active around these days, Hana Izanami (@snowmantita) was spotted coming here in secret to cheer for her friends.

The 11th show was obviously one of the best highlights of this event, given 6 of them were actually the famed performers to begin with! In addition, Queen card was the one who planned most details of the performance herself. Besides, some of them were really going all-out to the point where they attempted to compete with each other even. No wonder this show received very loud applause as a result, just like their team’s name implied.

There was one funny moment getting leaked out from the backstage. It was the photo of two gentlemen who literally had no idea why they were put in the same line with other talented showmen in the 11th show. Saigo seemed to be deep in thought about how much the staff have spent on props and special effects, while Nishio… He was caught flirting with other participants —Well, let’s hope that he wasn’t flirting with the wrong person there.

Despite the chill and anti-climax vibe that was very contrast to the intense impression from the previous show, the final show performed by team Bakemono was unexpectedly the children’s most favorite! Why was that? The secret of success not only lied in the lyrics of the song, but also its cute and catchy choreography. Moreover, they had also brought in the massive number of candies to throw into the crowd.

And due to some interviews with the parents, they told that this show truly deserved to be the closing show as it was in fact spoke the moral of this spooky event… 

Before the show started, it was a record of five of them chatting with each other. And although it was all according to the script, Asahi confessed that they had retaken it so many rounds he actually lost count of.

And just as the name of their team indicated, they were all wearing the yokāi costumes! For example, Asahi was the Oni, Kohaku was attempting to look like Kasa-obake (even if it came out rather funny), Taria was Karasu tengu, Honoka had animal ears so maybe she was bakeneko or kitsune, and Ayaka wore triangle headband with a kimono to represent the yurēi ghost.

From what live reports said, despite being the performers of the show, both Asahi & Kohaku were noted to really enjoy their time the most —These two spiritual(?) twins loved throwing candies like they’re playing with snow, while Honoka and Ayaka might seem a bit stiff due to their not so great experiences with people. However, Taria was the one making them warm up and enjoy the moment just like other children did —Who else would understand the kids best if not someone with a children’s heart?

By the time before it gets dark, surrounding the chapel of Odawara was its unique panorama of the seaside painted with variant dazzling shades of blue.

From the deep cerulean down the sea to the clear and bright azure up above the sky, today was the day the unlikely happy couple of Shinomiya and Shinozaki were soon destined to walk down the aisle together, but now the couple was separated as they were greeting all their surprise guests for taking their precious time to be in at their pledge of love.

And at the bride of Shinozaki’s side, she was soon greeted by one young man whom the A.I. recognized that he was the leader of a certain division that once came to deliver the presents on her dear creator’s birthday.

“Congratulations Ageha-san, and also to Masuzō-san too. I’m the representative from Nara Division. Here we have some little gift to wish you and your soon husband for a happy marriage.”

It was a cute bouquet consisting of pure white roses and baby blue star-shaped tweedias —which the latter has its own flower language in Japanese known as ‘the trusting heart’.

“Actually, I don’t personally know either of you though… But, someone I came to know lately had never stopped telling me to participate today.”

And ‘she’ did spend almost two hours in the flower shop just to pick the perfect flowers for the ‘Sissy’ she said to be somehow grateful for —Yuuya only thought but didn’t add that small truth to the conversation.

However, it was that time a phone in his pocket gave out its own response,

As the boy sensed an aggressive vibration on one side of his jacket, he sighed a bit but still having a soft smile on his face while bringing out his phone so that the bride could see the other ‘guest’ who tagged along with him today

—Instead of a normal home screen, the screen on the boy’s phone was now flooded with bright blue roses and one figure of a certain mobile girl who popped out to give the bride her overly gleeful salutation.

“// Hi hi, sissy A.D.A.! Here we’ve met again! Tee-hee, thanks for guiding me at a certain place back then. ANGE would be even more out of depth than her usual habitat really is if sissy didn’t be around to explain useful things to her that time! Anywayyy, congratulations on your bond with the purple nii-san! ANGE and her human are very super-duper extra happy for your love life! Wellll, Couldn’t wait to see more of what human’s wedding ceremony would be like!

And F that kelp-haired landlord over there why he would be here in your wedding.”

“Hello again, ANGE.” A.D.A smiled. “It's very nice to see you again. Thanks for the gift, by the way.”

A.D.A had let out a laugh as she heard what the young A.I. had called one of Malphas’ groomsmen. “Now come on, ANGE Lan isn't so bad once you get to know him. If you can ignore his habit of constantly scheming. Plus, isn't he also technically the one in charge of you?”

Spiraling into another fit of giggles A.D.A could barely contain herself as she watched ANGE vehemently deny that scheming shark wasn't in charge of her.

“Okay okay Lan isn't in charge of you ANGE. Now tell me, how's your night been? I know it's your first time at a wedding.”

At one point in the morning, the residence of one novelist and the second son of the glorious Enjouji family was suddenly greeted by the loud but jovial doorbell outside of his house.

Reluctantly waking up from his slumber, the self-proclaimed sleeping beauty dragged himself toward the entrance to check o the sudden visitor

—Damn, the morning time was hardly nice for a writer, especially when they had to spend their hours all night long for the unfinished deadline.

However, when he reached his destination, there wasn’t even a single trace left to tell that there was anybody before —Until his viridian eyes spotted something peacefully placing inside the mailbox.

It was a cool-looking bag in the design of a dark fantasy grimoire!

And even if he felt bit dazed at who sent this surprise gift to him, Kei decided to take some look and found a card attached inside the bag

“Happy Birthday & Happy New Year

—From Nara Division”

—A few minutes after Kei went back into his home

There was an edge of something in a jet black color quietly sneaking itself from one blind spot around the corner nearby

“So, that seaweed bishounen is the member of that one division you recommend to keep an eye on?”

“*nods* According to the piece of information I’ve acquired, the leader of this division was somehow responsible for the case of provoking abuse and suicides in school before, and besides, nearly all of this division seems to have some… ‘questionable’ streak that we have to take caution to. However, I’ve never expected you to come along this time —my young master.”

“…Hmm, it was nothing much actually. I just couldn’t believe that the Enjouji had decided to adopt two kids from nowhere into their fucking family. Honestly, don’t you think that they have been a bit too indulgent to their only son?”

“You’re one to talk, my young master. Don’t most in your uncle’s family also come from adoption?”

Kei hummed looking at the bag, although he rubbed his eyes trying to lose that sleepy sensation (he has a reason to call himself sleeping beauty,he like sleep) and with the gift in hands the novelist returns to his bed and look at it again

"it's certainly nice and can be useful for me when i'm looking for inspirations or out in other divisions"-Kei said to himself with a little smile in his red lips

After it he looked at the note again

"Nara division? A nice city but i don't know much about that team"-he said again

After a few moments the novelist out of the bed and go to his walk-in closet with his new bag in hands

Brief Description:

Kaori has reddish-pink hair and pink eyes.

Her academy grades were nothing to look at, with Lee being the only one who scored worse than her during their graduation exam. She has very low stamina, and has little strength. She tries to push herself though, which causes her to pass out often. What she lacks in physical strength, though, she more than makes up in her ability to use Genjutsu. Poisons and Senbon are also incorporated in her abilities, to make her jutsu that more deadly.

Kaori is short-tempered, but it mainly stems from a lack of self esteem in herself. Hates talking about it, so if she's opening up to you, you're special no doubt about it. Really admires Rock Lee and his constant determination and positive outlook on life. Strives to also be like that, but it's hard to change her ways. Will mellow out a bit as she gets older.

The sun was now starting to disappear from the horizon as the shade of numerous colors mixed in together at the time of dusk —And that was the same time Shirazuki household had been visited by some unexpected guest at her doorstep.

But when the ex-idol had gone out to check it up, she only found a package neatly wrapped in a beautiful piece of cloth hanging around the handle of the door instead of any sight of its sender.

Deciding to inspect it first for safety reasons, she cautiously unwrapped the parcel until she saw what had been sent to her residence.

First one she saw was a knitted scarf with the design of an adorable but insightful animal, the ‘Barn Owl’,

Next was a set of cute macarons which was actually the scented candles with a sweet and fruity mixed berries fragrance,

And last one was an elegant set of twelve necklaces in the theme of zodiac star signs,

Last but not least, there was a card written “Happy Birthday & Happy New Year!” submitted with the address from the people of Nara Division

—Somewhere in a car that was heading out of Minato ward—

“Really, you should put the birthday card outside of the furoshiki,”

the young(?) man with shades said as he just casually opened a can of tuna in his grasp, not even caring that he was in someone else’s car,

“or somewhere else more easier to see —Receiving something from the seemingly anonymous sender normally startles the person who used to be at the center of the limelight, you know?”

A cold glare was pointed to the speaker from the driver seat.

“I don’t wanna hear that from someone who almost caused a ruckus in Ms. Queen Card’s birthday the previous October,”

the much older man in his usual dark colored suit retorted with somewhat hostility in his tone.

“Aww~ Don’t talk about the water under the bridge, shall we?”

that enigmatic nonconformist shrugged in an unserious manner while he was savoring his quick supper.

“That queenie is already pretty smart on her own. I know she would know in a heartbeat that the little gift I added to Misaki’s thingies was more like a greeting toy than some real threat —Well, wouldn’t we all live for some excitement?”

As the shades he always oddly wore indoors and outdoors still covered all parts of his eyes, the older man couldn’t make a guess of what was actually in this shitty cat’s head.

Turning away from his troublesome accomplice, Chishio let out a long sigh as he fought down his own urge to pack this cat in some blank luggage and send it back to where he should belong. To be honest, maybe the reason why he often got disturbed by his antics was because it reminded him so much of himself when he was with his young master and the kids in his team.

…And he never understood what in the world had made Shūkaidō think that his earnest young master could replace him when the adoptive son of his was the troublesome person like THIS of all time.

Miku blew out the match and watched as the wick on her new candles that laid on top of some trays on her bedroom floor caught aflame. A small, delicate fire that allowed the mixed berry scents to fill her room.

Surrounding her on the floor was a ring of unscented candles.

With an exhale, she tilted her head back and closes her eyes, canceling out everything around her, including the owl scarf that rested on her shoulders. Cancelling the sound of her beautiful new With her nose, she breathed in the unfamiliar scent, her ears focused on the white noise that played on her computer and the light chimes from her new necklaces that hung on her jewelry altar, and zeroing in on the heat that rose from the candles around her.

“My circle is cast.”

After silently arriving at his destination, the old attendant named ‘Chishio’ picked a small package wrapped within a neat piece of cloth out of his pocket and put it inside the mailbox in front of the Okada residence, not forgetting to submit a card with the message “Happy Birthday and Happy New Year! —from Nara Division” along with them.

The gifts that those kids in the division have picked for Ritsuko were a set of coasters designed after specimens of human’s brain and a bottle of colorful temari candies. And apparently, one of many reasons why kids crave sweet things is because the principal energy for human’s brain is also glucose —the end product from breaking down most sugars. What a good match for the presents(?)

“And hey. If you seem that scared, why do you follow me here in the first place huh, little miss?”

Chishio frowned a bit as he noticed a small creature snuggling around his shoes after it spending a brief moment running around and checking the new environment it had visited.

…Wait, why was that kid’s kitty stalking him again today?

Gently picking the kitten up from the ground, the old man muttered something as if he was talking with her.

“I knew my master doesn’t really like cats much due to some allergy he has to your fur, but I’m sure that he has never done something rude to you as well. So, why can’t you just stay there and enjoy your time with your owner instead of running around like this? Outside is full of harm, just you know.”

The old man sighed. For whatever he had spoken out just now, there was no way the petite feline in his arms could neither understand nor answer him anyway.

—How ridiculous can this be? He could persuade that smart kid not to tag along with him in almost dangerous places but couldn’t do that with his cat.

“…Fine, let’s go home Ojou-chan. At least you make a less annoying companion than the other ‘cat’ I know.”

Ritsuko plucked a Temari from the bowl and rolled it around her fingers, inspecting the small treat. How amusing, she thought as she popped it in her mouth and began to chew, it was indeed sweet and it scratched at her sweet tooth nicely. Those specimens from Nara were quite intriguing, not only due to their gift giving habits but also because of the members themselves, the scientist made a mental note to do more research on them, she had a feeling that they may prove useful to her.

As the sun was still shining brightly in the first day of November, there was yet another visitor stopping by at one flower shop in Ueno.

This time the visitor was a young man with pink fluffy hair and a tatsumaki headband.

“Pardon my intrusion~ Oh, ohayo☆ Happy birthday and glad to see you today, Heisha-san.”

Greeting the nun with a big hearty smile on his face, the boy walked up closer to the flower shelf where Shisuta was standing

“My name is Asahi from the Harumatsuya shop in Nara!  And I’ve come here today as the representative of my team! YuuYu was going to relay presents at other division so he sadly can't come today. Most importantly… We’ve got some presents for you as well!”

With such a jovial voice, he handed something over to the birthday lady.

“This one was a handmade bookmark from him. He told me he had found this four-leaf clover once during one of his time doing the club activity with his friends in the park, and that time he was kinda into the resin art too. So, he decided to make one himself.”

“Four-leaf clover doesn’t only mean someone a good luck. I heard that each of their leaves are said to stand for four things. The first leaf is for hope, the second is for faith, the next is for love, and therefore the last one is for luck. In my opinion, I really think that it would suit your liking! And here, let’s move to the next gift~”

Asahi opened his bag and picked one paper box out of it carefully. He looked so proud when he opened its lid to showed what’s inside to her.

“Proudly presented from my family store! This is the nerikiri set I made myself! After all, flower designs and such are my specialty! I bet it would go even better if eaten together with some hot green tea.”

“Lastly, these are from Saigo-san. Speaking about tea and he actually gives Heisha-san the teacups haha. They’re the product from his cousin who loves ceramics though. Pouring some tea in these and they will look like there is literally a fish swimming inside. Kinda having the wabi-sabi feelings to me, I think?”

As the nun looked at all of the items presented by the wagashi maker, a smile appeared on her face as she bowed respectfully to him.

"Thank you very much, Tomoharu-san," Shisuta said, still smiling. "I am truly grateful for these."

Feeling she needed to reciprocate the young man for his kindness, Shisuta turned around for a brief second and began pulling out an assortment of flowers before gently placing them in a vase full of water.

"Please, take these." Shisuta said, handing him a bouquet of Dahlias. "Dahlias are a very beautiful flower. Not only because of their appearance, but because they symbolize compassion and kindness, which is what you and your companions have shown today." Bowing once more, Shisuta bid the young pink-haired man a farewell before looking at the treasures he had left behind. Smiling at the bookmark, she tucked it away, making sure to use it later.

She was truly in awe of the teacups that Asahi's teammate had given her. As she bit into one of the wagashi left for her, she was a bit upset that she didn't have any tea to good with them. It would have been a good time to utilize Saigo-san's gift. But she promised herself she would definitely use them at her earliest connivence.

Once the famous albino YouTuber went checking up her residence’s mailbox in the late morning, she then found a furoshiki-style wrapping package neatly put among a pile of gifts she had received as both treats of last night’s Halloween and her birthday presents from many friends she has gained through her countless paranormal journeys.

And with two arms full of her acquaintances’ good wills, Criss had finally managed to take all of them into her home —meaning that it’s now boxing time!

Opening each box up one after another, finally she had come across that one peculiar-looking package. After unwrapping it, she found an envelope attached inside;

“Greetings, Hiromi-san of Akihabara. Happy birthday and these are some little presents I and my team got for you! At first I thought of directly handing them to you at school, but because your classmates told me that you rarely attend classes. Thus, I thought of sending our presents to your home instead.

The first one is from me. It’s the Pikachu power bank! Keep this cute lil guy with you whenever you go outside for the journey and I’m sure he’ll be of use someday. I know it isn’t funny when your phone somehow ends up dead in a place you don’t know. 

And next, it’s from my bestie Asahi, he has made you some Halloween nerikiri! Guess the air of festival still lives on even if time has passed haha.

P.S. But I think it’ll be better for your own sake if you consider not skipping classes too often. Some places are really dangerous especially when things get dark —Welp, it isn’t only because I’m still scared of horror things of course. "Eeee! It's so cute!" Criss squealed, hugging the small Pikachu power cord close. She had loved Pokemon when she was younger, but as her interests got more and more towards ghosts and the paranormal, her love for the popular manga and anime series slowly waned. She couldn't even begin to tell you all about all the new Pokemon that had been created now! She still liked it, but not as much as ghosts or exploring. But she was definitely having to get back into after getting this adorable charger!

Reading the rest of the letter, the paranormal investigator sighed as her friend's words reminded her of Keiko's and her teacher's. She knew that she had to do better with her classes. She wasn't failing, as she always made sure to keep up with her classes and homework. It was for this reason that she'd be glad when she was done with school, so she could just do like her friend, Nikki, and spend her time exploring, making money that way. But that was never going to change if she didn't graduate first.

"Maybe I should get some studying first..." Criss spoke out loud to herself, sighing. "Exams are coming up and I don't want to fail."

"But first!" Criss declared, picking up the sweet pastry treats still on the plate. "I should eat these. They look to good not to be eaten."

Amidst the darkness of the night looming over the city of Kobe, as quiet as the autumn’s wind, a certain vehicle with its color as black as the starless sky had finally made a stop in front of Sano residence. Once when an older man in a dark-colored suit walked out with something carried in his arms, he reached the front door and soon raised his hand about to ring the doorbell

…But was just being held back by a certain figure who somehow sneakily followed him out of the car.

“Whoopsie~ My dear Chishio-san, I suggest not to do that if I were you.”

The night was quite dark, so it was hard to describe the details of that mysterious figure tagging along with the seasoned assistant from Nara Division.

“And what did you expect me to do above just standing here and letting us freeze to death because there is no one out to retrieve our presents?”

Chishio scowled at his uninvited companion. However, being unbothered by the older man’s piercing glare, the figure beside Chishio was just letting out a soft chuckle. Grinning wide like one character from a certain children’s book, they pretended to put their only free hand near to their ear.

If one listened close enough, one would find some noise coming from the inside of the house. It was the noise of two people…busying themselves with some kind of activity. Well, for whatever sake. Let’s just not describe what they’ve heard there.

“Hmm~ Aren’t they seem a bit busy at this moment? Oh my~ If you didn’t hear it then how about I provide the exclusive dub for you? Aa—”

“No, stop your bullshit right there. Make any sinful voice of yours again and I might accidentally put a cap in your head for real.” 

Mercilessly cutting down his companion’s antics and ignoring their infectious giggles afterwards, Chishio’s mind went back to his own thoughts as he laid down the presents with a card saying ‘Happy Birthday’ into the mailbox not further away, in hope that the birthday owner will find them later in the morning. 

Inside the present box were the wireless elf earbuds and some sweet konpeito contained in the bottles.

After getting back to his car, Chishio then recalled the time when those weird children in his young master’s team said at one point that they wanted to relay their greetings to every division at least once. 

What a nonsensical fad. If they did the further investigation into some divisions, there were not only a few out there with somewhat vicious background. Maybe that one little shit he has encountered in Minato was right...

Even if he wasn’t the part of the official members, his existence was still needed for his young master’s team after all.

“Wake up, shithead.”

Kaiji grunted as he opened one eye, glaring up at his little brother as Nagisa stared down at him with a frown. Blinking his eyes, and now fully awake, the snow haired male sat up and stretched, not at all bothered by the satisfying ache in his body or the fact that his entire body from the neck down was covered in bruises, bite marks, scratches, and dried up blood amongst other…fluids. He also noticed that a blanket was covering his private area and that he was alone with the exception of Nagisa, it was then that it all came back to him, Touya visiting, the gifts, the pills, the sex, god, the sex was amazing.

Speaking of which…

“Where’s Touya?” Kaiji asked and Nagisa shoved the box in his lap, his eyebrow twitching as he glared at his brother.

“Back to Katsushika, you know he has a curfew and I had to wake him up to make sure he got back home in time, nearly had my fucking throat slit.” Nagisa grumbled, slightly sitting on the arm of the couch, Kaiji paid him no mind as he inspected the box in his lap. “Anyways, when I walked him to the door, that was waiting outside, it was from Nara, didn’t know you had fans over there.”

Kaiji scoffed, already opening the gift and pulling out the contents. “I have fans everywhere, dumbass, but this isn’t from a fan, it’s from the team in Nara, they’ve been making rounds in the other division, specifically on people’s birthdays, it’s a little weird but goddamn do they give some awesome gifts.” The white haired male popped a piece of konpeito in his mouth, humming delightedly at the flavor. Nagisa shrugged, somewhat disinterested. “Neat, I guess, also how many teams are in this competition? Seems like there’s a new city joining in every month.”

“I can’t tell you the exact number but there’s a lot and I heard that two more are planning to join next year.” Kaiji fiddled with the earbuds, seemingly not concerned with more competition.

“You don’t seem all that worried, aren’t you afraid of losing? The more teams that join, the harder it’ll be to determine a winner, if there’ll be one.”

Kaiji shrugged. “I personally could not give a shit. If everyone wants to claw and kill each other, then so be it, that’ll mean just less people to get in the way between my darling and I.”

There was a moment as Nagisa looked at his brother with an unreadable expression which caused Kaiji to frown and glare at him, ignoring the feeling of his skin crawling. “What.” The cosplayer called out. “What’s that look for?”

Nagisa looked away, mindlessly picking at his clothes. “It’s nothing…”

The sun has already set low and now the darkness has started to loom over the Aoyama city by the time Luis finishes his late stroll in the evening. While walking back to his home, suddenly, he finds an unfamiliar face pop out from the place he called his home —That visitor is a young man with pink fluffy hair dressed in the linen working attire which he recognizes to often see in those Japanese restaurants.

But before the Hispanic chef has to do anything, the pink-haired visitor is the one who greets him first.

“Oh, good evening! You are Luis-san, aren’t you? My name is ‘Asahi’ from ‘Harumatsuya’ in Nara! This is probably the first time I met you in person, I often heard of you from my grandparents.” 

The young man speaks in a cheerful manner. Somehow it literally make him think that this young man’s atmosphere feels very bright even if the surroundings have become dusky due to the absence of daylight. 

“Granny and gramp seem to know Uehashi oba-san from the cuisine expo some time ago, hence they told me to go greet her by myself today…Well, granny can’t come because she has to look after our shop and my gramp obviously can’t leave home. Both of them told me to deliver their blessings to you though!” 

He laughs a little as he picks something out of his bag.

“As you may know… I’m not here today only on my grandparents’ request, I also come here as the representative of my team —the Nara Division, too.”

Inside the tiny box he holds out to the chef are the wagashi in a cute pumpkin shape to celebrate a certain day of October.

“So, this is some little gift from me. Happy birthday to you and Happy early Halloween! I’ve already left the gift from my shop to Uehashi oba-san when I arrived, it’s the set of wagashi specially made to enjoy the taste of October’s fall. My leader YuuYu has helped me in making them as well.”

“...And here is some souvenir from Saigo-san. It’s the Kashikata cake mold carved by an artisan he knows. He told me that he has lots of contacts of great craftsmen if you wanna order the more intricate or customized designs for whatever occasion.”

After handing his and his team’s presents to the chef, Asahi waves his hand as the farewell.

“Sayonara~~~ Hope you and your grandma have the great new year ahead! Let’s meet again another time, Luis-san. Now I’ve to hurry home before my grandma closes the shop all by herself!

Luis hadn't actually planned on leaving his house, but Karada apparently had some "emergency" and needed his help, ASAP. Tomi, of course, wasn't going to be bothered, so that just left Luis. After trudging the way to his friend's house and solving whatever problem he had, (his oven door wouldn't open, which ruined the cookies he was planning to make) the chef returned back home to find a strange, yet familiar-looking pink-haired young man on the porch of his house, making him frown slightly.

After hearing his name and the name of his shop, it was then that Luis's expression changed. He had recalled his grandmother once buying some sweets from a shop in Nara. To be honest, after trying them once, he had wanted to stop by and pick up some, himself, but never managed to find the time. Between working at his restaurant, taking care of his grandmother, and making sure his teammates didn't do anything to piss off the rest of Japan, he didn't have much free time on his hands. So having the guy who personally made the sweets come down and deliver them himself was a welcome sight.

"Thank you, Asahi-san," Luis stated. "I've been wanting to stop by, but couldn't find a chance. Give my regards to your teammates, as well. And if you find the time to come here again, be sure to stop by my restaurant. My cooks and I will serve you all something nice."

Bidding the confectionary cook farewell, the chef headed into his house and into his kitchen where the gifts were. Popping one of the treats into his mouth, he hummed as it enjoyed the flavor. He nodded, reminding to return the favor on Asahi's birthday.

🎃 Behind the scenes Pt.1

Even though there are other divisions and some participants which may not be mentioned above, they’re all invited and have their own parts in this event as well. For examples;

Himari Asami, Hiroshi Sakura, and Suzuran Minazuki (who was on the request of her non-blood-related cousin) were in charge of designing and making costumes with the assistance of three fashion interns; Aimi Miyazaki, Alice Shiroka, and Umi Kobayashi.

Akira Arai, Natsume Kurome, Kururi Yamamura and Queen Card’s team were noted to took part in making props. By the way, Kureha Koizumi was anticipated to participate in this as well but she unexpectedly showed up in the opening show —much to everyone’s surprise.

Reiaki Suzubayashi and Emiko Akaibara showed to work together on helping the cast prepare themselves before entering the stage.

Chiyuri Seiguni was tasked to be the main operator of most special effects on stage via the brief from the real technician, Raiden Otoha since this one had to take his part in the 7th show.

Aiko Mayeda was the D.J. and he got the party started! The 86 band and other musical units associated with other division members were also joined in to provide music for some songs.

Most choreography throughout the shows were designed and coached by Yeong Hajoon, Haruto Morikawa, and Kaede Iwasawa.

The representative of Snowflake Sentinel News, Yoichi Shujo; and the head of a certain publishing-house, Nellie Yukimura were assigned to deliver the details of this event. Please expect more live reports and some tidbits behind the scenes from them.

The foods and drinks in this event were all supplied by the alliance between Luis Kōkyū, Rashaad Young, Harumatsuya shop, and Rikiya farm.

The main sponsors of the previous event are Sigma Inc., Toi Pharmaceutical, and E.L. Medical Co. Therefore, this time it’s the turn of Wonder⇓anD Sound Systems, Arakawa Tech Industries, and the concert venue was organized by the entertainment agency “Kairiku Production” with the cooperation of Queen Card’s league. 

For some reason, a certain division was banned from participating —to be specific, it’s Ginza Division. However, Eiji Noguchi and his family were secretly invited because his children wanted to come.

At first Fusao Ise and Queen card were honored to be the MCs (or the hosts) of this event but because the latter had to ‘prepare’ for her own part in the 11th show, Reika Aichi was surprisingly nominated to take over this role once again alongside Fusao.

At the beginning, all the cast were seen wearing some kind of masquerade mask before their first show started.

Though not every division was present in the 3rd show, there were flags with symbols of each team ever participated in the D.R.B. showing on stage.

For whatever reason, Aranai Norikoru was the one who delivered the line “Toki wo (Shout)!” before the chorus “Kakumei wa matte (The revolution has succeeded)!” was sung by all divisions. Well, someone in the cast seemed visibly displeased with how this turned out.

Despite the 6th show being performed by Yuuya Kanata and Yorii Sakuma, the one who advised them on the lyrics was their senior musician, Ren Nakashima, and the music provider for this show was none other than the 86 Band

Before two boys of the 6th show left the stage, the camera caught both Yuuya and Yorii high-fiving Ren who was up for the next show…

"I'll admit, I don't fully know Yuuya-kun that well, despite the two of us going to the same school and having a few classes together. I know he gets on well with Elliot-kun, though, which is a surprise, given his appearance and the difference in their personalities. However, Elliot tells me that Yuuya is a huge animal-lover, so the two get along because of that." Mina gives a soft smile. "I'm glad to see Elliot is making more friends. After everything... he deserves some form of happiness."

Asahi Tomoharu

"...Seeing this young man's pastries is one of the reasons I hate the fact that I can't eat regular food. No matter how hard I try, it tastes like bile in my mouth and makes me want to vomit. I hate it!" She growls, showing her fangs, but manages to calm herself down before she does something she regrets. "...But that has nothing to do with this young man. I think he was the one who brought Elliot those treats for his birthday. That was nice of him."

"...For some reason though, Yorii seems to dislike this guy. He doesn't say or do anything antagonizing, but he seems to go out of his way to avoid he's not alone with the guy. I don't know why..."

Just as her birthday event has already passed on by a few days, the infamous smartest hacker of this era still considers slacking all day long in her favorite lab. 

Normally, this should be her another idle day …not until one of her computers starts having a blackout. However, her security system fights back and appears to win over within a heartbeat as its screen once turns normal again. 

After some quick checkup, everything in her computer seems to be perfectly fine. Neither thing is lost nor there are weird files left …it’s just that there’s a small window popping up on one side of her screen;

Upon reading the mysterious message, a bit of surprise runs across her azure lens. But suddenly, Kaoru then hears the doorbell rings in front of her house. Whether it’s for safety first or her own curiosity, she decides to check some of her security cameras

…to just get a stare back from a large pair of blue eyes with vertical slits.

“Moshi, moshi. This is Ojou-chan at your service~”

“Meowwwrrr” 

Greeting by the voices of one cat and one boy whom she remembers to be one of the participants from a division in the south of Japan, the hacker blinks and gazes blankly at the screen in front of her. 

“Oh sorry, this is just me; Yuuya Kanata from Nara Division. Anyway, our Ojou-chan has come here to say hi too.” 

As if he knows what kind of confusion she has right now, the reddish-haired boy puts the siamese feline down while properly introducing himself and his cat.

“We’ve come here to deliver our birthday gifts to Shinozaki-san of Edogawa division. Gotta apologize for being late to your birthday due to some circumstance happening in my division. And since there’s no one answer earlier, Chishio-san said that there obviously has the camera planted here, so I’d like to assume it will record my greeting as a message to her. ”

...He doesn’t seem to know that the birthday owner he refers to is watching.

“Here are the presents from my division! Well, Happy Birthday and wish you have a good year. Chishio-san is coming to pick me up soon so I’ll have to take my leave then.”

After using the X-ray function to investigate the package, Kaoru soon finds about what’s inside; there is a big Gengar plushie with many functionalities to escape reality and a paper box full of daifuku set for a family.

Though she has to acknowledge that their presents were all no doubt from good will, still, there’s something bugging on her mind.

If she remembers correctly; after she has some dig-in on each of the DRB contestants, it’s as clear as day that this Nara team is lacking in IT intelligence. 

Even if that Yuuya person has too many friends all around Japan, she is certain that none of his allies can pull off some stunt on her system —Not even his streamer friend called the ‘Aozora’ guy can catch up to her level soon. 

Then, is it his pink-haired buddy? No, that pinkette is 100% ruled out. 

If so, is it his so-called ‘Saigo-san’? Nah, it doesn’t look like it since the only person who can do something like this isn’t on his side anymore. 

So, what about his uncle’s household? Hmm, this also doesn’t seem quite right… So far as she has inspected, the Minazuki don’t seem to be experts on this field. 

Or is it that eerily keen chaperone named ‘Chishio’? This assumption seems the most plausible considering his extraordinary sense to know where her camera is; however, this old man doesn’t strike her even one bit to be the techno kind of guy. 

Then who? Who has sent her that notification earlier? That redhead leader doesn’t seem to be aware of that either.

...This world is surely full of unexpected things huh?

Kaoru narrowed her eyes, leaning back into her chair. Seems like she missed something granted she had only done a rudimentary search on Nara so far, but for someone to mess with her system even just for a minute. Well, it looks like she had some serious looking up in her future. Heck, even the lack of info didn't bother her. She's had work with less before and, in fact, even excited her. There was something Kaoru loved about a good research spiral. So what if she ignored the world to the point that she was essentially deaf and blind to it. So what if she spent hours upon hours picking apart any little clue just to find an answer. That was who she was and Kaoru wouldn't change it for the world.

"Nara? Y'all are an interesting bunch, aren't ya? Unassuming at first glance, but once you look a little deeper, you find some interesting little tidbits. So let's see what else I can find."

Today is a big day for the young freeloader at Kiyozaki’s residence; however, since Anika isn’t home at the moment, the girl has to do some troublesome job like receiving the deliveries for her guardian figure. 

And because of that, she almost stumbles over one package laying in front of her doorstep. 

Looking closer and she sees that on the package is written 

“Happy Birthday Setsukura-san, we hope you have a nice year.

—Nara Division”

With some curiosity about what this rather new division got for her, Makina uses the cutter to open the package and then she sees a very comfy neck pillow in shape of a long cat, and also one round box full of Japanese senbei and more snacks.

Not only that, she also discovers a blue card placed at one spot in the package with the logo of blue full-moon …which she remembers, it’s the symbolic icon of one of her streamer friends.

“Happy Birthday ‘Screen Shot’.

“TXXXXX, I’ve sent your present to Setsukura-san today.”

The boy with the reddish hair turns to his dark-haired friend, who is sitting next to him. In front of them are the bright screens of their laptops.

“Oh Thanks, for both this and your help in mixing my new cover on the channel.”  

“You’re welcome, friend. Your singing is already great to begin with. And to be honest, I should be the one who feels indebted to you ever since the time I asked you to be the club’s president for me —Ah, I also heard that Setsukura-san is going to stream some horror games tomorrow and so are you? What a coincidence. Are you guys having a collaboration?”

“Hmm, spoilers aren’t fun. Why not find out about that yourself? Besides that, I still don’t forget the last time you killed me in [Among us], you remember?”

“That—”

“Kidding. I know that’s just a game. If I were the imposter, I would probably do the same.” 

“*sheepishly laughs* …Vengeful, do you?”

“*chuckles* Nevermind that, I owe you a lot too. So, don’t forget to ask me when you need some help, pal.”

Makina brought the presents to her bedroom. She put on her headphones and searched for the microphone icon on her monitor.

“I’m back, chat,” Makina said. She held up the items high enough for her viewers on the other side of the screen to see. “Nara Division sent me some goodies just now. Aren’t they cute?”

“And I also got a steam notification from ‘Aozora’ about some of the games I’ll be playing in today and tomorrow’s collabs. Like I said at the start of the stream, we’ve got tons of horror games in the lineup, so look forward to that…”

She hugged the neck pillow and the box of senbei. “I really like my friends…” she whispered as she watched the endless flood of ‘happy birthday,’ ‘ty nara division,’ messages and cute emotes fill up her chat box.

She chuckled softly and wrapped the pillow around her neck, getting comfortable. “And don’t worry, I’m sharing the senbei with Anika and Shian. Shian’s gonna kill me if I don’t share these with her.”

Brief Description:

The current head of the prestigious Osaka Clan, she is a master of their shapeshifting ability, as well as summoning and fire style jutsus.

While Makoto did marry, she never truly felt as if she was in love with her husband. However, they did have immense respect for each other, and considered each other friends. After his death during the Nine Tails attack, she chose not to remarry, much to the elders’ dismay. She didn’t want to go thru the courting process again, especially since she had a young Chihiro to care for in addition to the clan.
