tailbone explanation: so last term last year i was having problems standing up cuz my tailbone was so incredibly sore i couldnt describe it. my dad told me to do stretches thinking it was a muscle, but i knew damn well it wasnt a muscle. my mum took me to the doctors office cuz my dad refused and i ended up needing an xray for it, and when i went back to the doctors office it turned out to be the bone at the very end of my tailbone. so now i need to sit on a special gel pillow and its so uncomfy cuz it raisese and makes me unable to fit in the science lab chairs cuz it takes up so much room and teachers are odd abt it. and i want there to be a way for that to be fixed better (without an operation). so. yea.

doubt im gonna get past the goal but here goes nothing :3

edit: ok fuck. uh. looks like i have to rearrange the order cuz im already starting to do the 2k goal. uh.

✦ When you first joined the party, it was under the guise that you just needed a group to help you get to the lower levels. Laios being who he is, was more than happy to get your help with the rest of the members.

✦ You had an ulterior motive, one you wouldn’t be revealing so soon: the goal to get your girlfriend’s dad to approve of you. Flertom had told you before that it was totally fine, and that you shouldn’t worry yourself too much over it. She loved you, and that’s all that should matter. Yet, you found yourself unhappy to know that not only did he not know of your existence in her life, but that he hadn’t given you his blessing.

✦ Making sure not to let too much slip, you did your absolute best to get the man to like you. Whether it be staying out of his way while he worked or by showing your own worth, you worked extremely hard to get on his good side.

✦ Occasionally you’d talk about your girlfriend, mainly how much you adored her and that she made you really content. Chilchuck would hum, mulling over everything you said. It never occurred to him that you’d be talking about his daughter of all people, but he’d give you advice once in a while about certain things.

✦ Chilchuck thought you were a good asset. You stayed in your own lane yet brought about your own skills, something he valued. Your interest in his work made him a little happy as well, and it was nice to have someone around his daughters’ age in the party. It made him miss his own kids a lot.

✦ It had been a good while of you being in the party, and you felt it was finally time to show your true motive. You waited until Chilchuck was relaxed, enjoying a drink as everyone made camp.

“You know, there’s something I haven’t told you about myself,” you began, a tinge of nervousness in your voice. You had worked so hard to build up the reputation you had with him, and didn’t want to tear it all down in one sitting.

Chilchuck raised an eyebrow at you, taking a sip of his drink. His silence was a push to keep talking.

“I’m… My girlfriend is Flertom.” The words weren’t rushed, in fact they left you in an exhale of relief that they finally were spoken. Meanwhile, you felt the fear return to your chest when Chilchuck choked on his drink.

After his coughing fit, the half-foot banged on his chest, turning to look at you incredulously. “My daughter is your girlfriend? This whole time, it’s been her?!”

✦ After that talk, he didn’t speak to you for a little while. It was discouraging, but you tried your best to give him the space he needed. When you seemed down more than usual one day, he turned his attention to you and sighed.

✦ “You know, I’ve been thinking… I guess if you’re the one with her, it’s not too bad… You’re an okay kid.” You immediately perked up at his words, before he stuck out an accusatory finger at you.

✦ “But! If you hurt her, or break her heart, or anything like that, you’re gonna have to go through me. Got it?” His voice came out in a tone that had you glued to the floor, but you nodded as quickly as you could. You’ll definitely keep that in mind.

✦ Chilchuck thought back to the letter he had received, with how happy Fler had seemed with you. Well… He guesses that if it stays the way it is now… He’d be fine with it.

sometimes I miss getting notifications that "so and so reblogged your post", and then I open it and there's a fucking reblog essay attached to a fic that i wrote. I'm not sure when that went out of style, and I, too, have changed how I reblog fic according to the trend I've noticed the last couple of years. But MAN there was no rush quite like the one where your mutuals and friends would comment on every line they loved and pick apart themes you didn't even realize you touched on. some of mine would even add custom memes and additional tag screaming.

just been thinking a lot about fandom and community today. I've seen discourse in 3 different fandoms now and I'm just sitting here with my jaw on the floor and wondering where exactly it all went sour. maybe I just got lucky the with the first fandom I participated in, idk. it just used to be interactive in a different way. of course, there are things I love about how it is now- I think in the place I've found myself, we as writers and consumers alike are more apt to toss ideas and themes around and not necessarily feel like we have to write a full-fledged story. there seems to be less of a divide between writers and non-writers than there was in my previous experience, which is really fun for me! we're all here to enjoy the same stuff, more or less. and I'm lucky to be in a place, too, where most of us respect what our peers are posting about, whether we enjoy it or agree with it or not. it's why I have a hard time jumping into a new fandom, mainly because it took me months to feel comfortable here, and I'm not sure I have the spoons to do that again somewhere else.

anyway, this is long and rambing and pretty much just thoughts off the top of my head, but yeah. good god, be kind to each other. don't be afraid to talk to people. have a good time. write stories and bounce ideas off of each other and block people who threaten your peace. and write big ass comments on your friends' fics. they'll kiss you on the mouth, with tongue. I guarantee it.

I didn’t watch the panels but if JDM said that John would have killed Sam when it came down to it, I believe he would have been capable of doing that if he really thought there was no more options.

If he also said Dean would have done the same thing then no, he doesn’t understand that there are no circumstances that Dean would take that option. The only two times he’s come even remotely close, he was a demon in one and under the influence of the mark of Cain in the other. If he’s himself, even when Sam is begging him to go through with it, Dean would very much opt to take himself out than be forced to kill Sam (or die alongside him as in Croatoan and the mist in season 11). Dean also knows Sam would never kill him which is why he’d lined up Castiel to help in his plan to take Michael to the bottom of the ocean, because Sam wouldn’t.

Ever since I finished up sumeru's main quests I just can't get the idea of a yandere scara out of my head.

When I saw him drop I almost yelled at the screen to go catch him. He just needs so much therapy and validation and explanations for what has happened to him. He was so desperate for the gnosis that it gave me the impression of someone who was using something to distract themselves from the thing they actually need to address (not me projecting... No neeeever) he just needs a stable companion to travel and talk with him for as long as they are able.

And once he gets used to the affection he would absolutely drink it up. Just any droplet of love he can get he absorbs and is instantly thirst for more. So he tries to get that affection any way he can think of. People like flowers (he heard from a vendor in liyue) so he tries to find the most appealing flower in a field to gift to his companion. "The best way to a persons heart is through their stomach" he disagreed with this anatomically but once he understands the phrase he spends almost half of all of his pocket money on ingredients and new recipes as a way to "win" more affection. The more head pats and "you did fantastic" 's he gets, the more he wants them. Until they aren't enough any more. They still feel great but he feels like there is still more affection he could get, he just can't quite put a finger on what more there could be...

That is until he observes two people kissing and almost instantly imagines him and his companion. And he wants that. He wants it so bad that his chest aches like never before. This want feels even stronger than the one he had for a gnosis. Just how in teyvat is he gonna convince them to kiss him?

Not a Chilchuck x reader request, more of a reaction from him.

But what if the Laios party ran into a tall-woman fighter in the dungeon who got injured and she explained she got separated from her party and girlfriend after some monster attacked them. When they find the fighters party it turns out the girlfriend is Meijack who decided to join her dungeon delving girlfriend to see what it was like. But she hadn't told her parents about how she was seeing someone yet. How would would Chilchuck react?

`✦ ˑ ִֶ 𓂃⊹ OK THIS MADE MY BRAIN GO BRRRR . i had to really think on how i wanted to go about this prompt bc it just made me giggle and think. wow. this is such a cute idea. we know how chil is about his daughters and dating. this would be so funny.

✦ Like I said before, we know how Chilchuck is with his daughters. I’m sure he feels at least a little relief that Meijack seems uninterested in the dating scene, as he already has to deal with Flertom and Puckpatti’s romantic ambitions. (Thinking about that page in the Adventurer’s Bible where they both get ashamed they’re not yet married and grow excited at the idea that Laios is single. His horrified reaction LMAO.)

✦ Laios’ party doesn’t mind helping her get back on her feet, definitely. I can imagine Marcille growing interested in the relationship, and Chilchuck just tuning it out. That is, until Meijack’s partner begins describing her. Surely not, right? Just a coincidence. Anyways.

✦ At seeing Meijack in the dungeon, I think Chilchuck would have a mini crisis. What the hell do you mean the partner this tall-man has been talking and describing this whole time was actually his daughter??? The one who never seemed interested in the romance scene??? A tall-man they randomly found in the dungeon is in a party… with his daughter??? And dating her??? His daughter is in the dungeon??? Give him a moment, please.

✦ He’d definitely be thrown for a loop that this female tall-man (a fighter, too) they had just so happened to run into and lend a hand to is now rushing over to Meijack in relief and tugging her into her arms. What the hell?!

✦ I think he’d be miffed that no one had told him ANYTHING about this, in any aspect. So he was just supposed to find this out on his own? This is going to give the man a heart attack.

✦ I’m sure after the initial shock and plenty of fussing with phrases like, “What are you doing here?!” and, “Does your mother know?,” he relaxes a little. It was going to happen at some point since she is skilled at lock picking and all, he tells himself. But I still can’t imagine seeing one of your kids in the dungeon would be comforting much. Especially when all of a sudden they’re now in a relationship.

✦ We also know how Chilchuck is with handling emotions. I’m sure he’s stressed, bewildered, but also proud in a way. Give him some time to process all of this. He’s getting old, LOL.

To your dismay, the tattoo shop seems to only have one artist, though it shouldn’t have surprised you, considering the size of the shop. It’s tiny and you doubt there was room for more than one artist to comfortably work there.

A fairly new instagram account lists his name as Joel Miller, owner of, and soul artist at, the studio you had passed. The shop doesn’t seem to have a website, but the few google reviews that it does have are all glowingly positive.

Bookings appear to be wide open according to the instagram bio, but a different kind of itch crawls under your skin at the thought of being tattooed by another man. Your stomach goes foamy, gives an uncomfortable lurch, at the thought of any man at all having to touch you.

You scroll through the few posts that have made their way onto the account, the last dated two days ago. And, for the first time in years, you feel the need for this person’s art on your skin begin to outweigh your aversion to touch.

There are no pictures of Joel Miller, just his art, though some of the posts give glimpses of strong hands and thick forearms. Despite yourself, arousal pools in your belly at the sight. A few scars run beneath the wiry black hair on his arms, thick veins snake beneath his skin to collect in rough, strong hands that speak to hard labor. It makes you wonder if he’d always been a tattoo artist or if he’d made a career change at some point.

Some of the captions make you snort and you have to wonder if he runs the account himself. You somehow can’t picture the owner of those hands typing out the cheesy, often pun filled, lines.
