Cannot stop thinking about an au where Turnabout Trump doesn't happen/happens but Olga is convicted instead so Apollo is still working at the Gavin law offices for his first few cases. He meets Trucy at one of the crime scenes and she tags along on his investigations, but she doesn't tell him about her connection to Phoenix until after their first case together. Ema likes Apollo less at first bc she doesn't like the fop and you work for his brother, who she also hates bc he's very condescending when he cross examines her in court.
When you meet Klavier in the second case you can ask Kristoph about him and vice versa. They don't interact with each other but you get to learn some more things about the brothers, their opinions on each other and their backstory. You also find out that Klavier was the one who got Phoenix disbarred and Kristoph is apologetic about it, given that Phoenix is his "friend" (though they haven't interacted at all since phoenix was found not guilty).
At one point Trucy is visiting Apollo at the Gavin Law Offices when Kristoph returns and "politely" kicks her out. She then reveals to Apollo who the daddy she keeps talking about actually is. You get to meet Phoenix again in the next case and find out more about the incident 7 years ago.
Over the course of the game you/Apollo starts to grow more suspicious of Kristoph and his intentions, alongside a growing sense of horror that you got an innocent person convicted in your first case. It all comes to a head in Succession when Drew Misham finally uses the stamp, which turns up fixed to a letter in the Gavin Law Offices postbox that Apollo collects on his way in one morning. You hand it to Kristoph and he promptly disappears with it, feigning excuses. Phoenix uses this case to finally spring his trap and test the jurist system. Kristoph gets the double whammy of his brother and mentee turning on him at once and the murder of Shadi Enigmar is properly resolved. It's also revealed that Trucy started tagging along on Apollo's investigations to collect intel for Phoenix.
At the end of Succession, Apollo is offered a role at the newly-renamed Wright Anything Agency and there's a final rise from the ashes-style case that serves as Apollo's first proper case as an official WAA employee and helps tie up some loose threads/lets the characters deal with the fallout of Succession.
Idk I just think it'd be fun/satisfying to realise slowly that there's more to everything than meets the eye.

deacon blast again
also yknow what. info dump about this guy cus he's coming to the cleanup crew very soon
D-17, aka Deacon, was a robot originally created for the Bioscience & Technology team for the Company. This team specialized in studying the biology of the entities, moon environments, and making technological advancements for both their scavengers and to assist their research. (Fun fact ! This team was also responsible for creating the revive technology, resulting in the cycle.)
Deacon is a D type model, one of the tank robots, usually used as personal bodyguards for other team members when exploring moons, and hauling back deceased corpses of the moon's wildlife. He is very much programmed to be a work machine, speaks very formally, takes everything literally, and obeys given orders. He was a good mechanical co-worker.
However, as the Company started to cut corners, this team was dissolved. God knows what happened with the human members of the team, but as for the robots, they were all stationed on various planets and left to rot. Some time goes by, 18 years roughly, and Deacon's still body stands upright, covered with small patches of foliage and insects crawling through his joints.
Deacon is a very lucky case, compared to the others, having been safely stationed on 41-Experimentation inside of a storage room in the facility. The majority of the other robots have been likely ripped apart by the moon's wildlife, weather conditions wearing them down, and just breaking down into scrap pieces.
Soon, he will be found there and charged back up. However, he will not be aware of what happened to his team. He did his job to stand guard, and he did until his power ran dry, like a loyal dog to the company.
Soon, he'll figure it out.
(also I think I've posted his ref here before?? I think. yea I did, but I might make him a more polished one. design ain't changed tho lol)
(OH FUCK YEA UH. THAT IS CRICK IN THE SECOND IMAGE. THE NERD ASS SCAVENGER. belongs to my dear buddy @blegsbag)

I’m fascinated with the op hockey au and ur art that goes with it and was wondering what would the marines be… like would they be refs or rules officials or judges? Like hardly anyone likes the marines and nobody likes rules officials/judges.
asking cause they’re a couple good marines (Koby, Rosinante and Belle Mere)
i mentioned this a little bit in this post but it boils down to them just being generally scattered around sports and sports-adjacent jobs.
i thought mb akainu would be a ref that screws over/directly causes ace injury during a whitebeards vs pirates game; garp works in media (not sports) but doesn't really like the notion that all his kids and grandkids are in pro sports lol; and koby & helmeppo are a rookie espn sports journalism duo (writer + cameraman) that interned at garp's media company for a while before changing to espn (garp was exasperated about it haha). but ye, the marines would be scattered as judges and rules officials and people on the olympics committee, etc etc.
i said nami would be a marketer or mb a sportscaster, so i think it'd be cute if belle-mère did something similar in her day, annndddd idk about cora. i made croc mihawk's manager but i have no idea what doffy would do and how cora would play into all that. would love to hear if anyone's got any ideas tho!

one of my advisors emotionally eviscerated me in my dissertation meeting this morning and made me cry in front of him and my school dad (my other advisor). i know that some people have the “you doubted me and i’m going to prove you wrong so you can eat your words” instinct when they receive criticism but instead i was cursed with the the “internalize it until i feel worthless and the last five years of my life in which i’ve been studying toward this goal i deserve but have had many undeserved obstacles to feel pointless” reflex

Daud for the “send me a character” meme thingie?
seeing as i already unleashed my Daud Thoughts on my unsuspecting followers, i will use this as an opportunity for another headcanon
he is LAUGHABLY horrible at showing affection. and i dont mean in the "shy about it/pretends its no big deal" way (although that too for more generous versions of him), i mean extremely roundabout to the point that what He considers "extremely obvious and painfully embarrassing way of showing that i like this person" is to the recipient completely incomprehensible
ask me about characters and stuff <3

about your crush, is your other coworker still playing matchmaker??
RIGHT, i did post on here about that, didn't i?? ummm. Not So Much™ lol. like, less than a week after she texted me about wanting to play matchmaker, she found out her girlfriend of 4 years had been repeatedly and actively cheating on her with multiple strangers soooo. NOT quite sure that romance is on her brain right now, yikes. i DID text her earlier today to let her know that i got drinks with him and she seemed excited for me but that's kind of it lol. i think given where she's at now, she might like. quietly root for me but i don't expect much more effort on her part understandably.

❝ For you, it's just a Tuesday night. ❞ - @twcfaces
Across the Spider-Verse Starters!
@twcfaces
"Of course! Well-... I mean it is actually Tuesday, but you know what they say: 'There's no rest for the wicked'."
'Another day, another dollar' would probably make a far better fit for the occasion, but there was just something idyllic to the quote she'd chosen; and who could frown at the use of a nice classic! Still, the hesitance in the other's form is a bit concerning to see. She's not the kind of person to summon in order to help take out the trash, unless you were certain it was the sort of 'garbage' that needed cleaning.
"Kind-of sounds like your feet are growing a bit 'cold' in those fancy dress shoes of yours, darling... Is this one of those personal-personal contracts?"
