“Oh!” you had an epiphany. It was ethereal. “Maybe you can hold me on your shoulders so I can get to the top shelf!”
“Why would I do this for you?" Jamil’s voice was flat. “You’re going to get hurt. Badly.”
"Because you love me!" you raised your arms to indicate for him to turn around. “And that stuff up there is really good!”
"Not enough-” he sighed as he watched you pout. “...Fine."
“Yes!” you smiled as he turned around.
“Be careful, though.” he said as he crouched down so you could hop onto his shoulders.
“Yeah yeah,” you brushed off his concern.
“I’m being serious, love.” his voice was stern, even though he knew you wouldn’t listen.
“Whatever you say~”
Getting on his shoulders, he grabbed onto your legs and started to stand up. You curled your torso in case of getting hit in the head, and when you didn’t, you straightened up fully.
“Ow!” you yelped, letting go of your thighs to raise your hand to your head.
“Is everything okay?” Jamil’s voice was laced with worry.
“Yeah! Just… hit my head on the ceiling…” you could tell Jamil was trying to keep a laugh in. “Hey, don’t laugh!”
“Of course, of course,” he said. “Are you alright?”
“Yep, I’m fine.” you brushed it off, trying to ignore the stinging pain that was starting to form on the top of your head. “Now, it’s time to sift through the cabinets.”
As you sifted through the things in the cabinet, the thing tha you were looking for caught your eye. “Aha!! I found it!”
“Good, now take your hands out of the cabinet and I’ll let you down.”
You grabbed the packaging and exited the cabinet, allowing Jamil to let you down. As you descended, your boyfriend’s grip on your thighs was tighter than before, probably trying to keep you stable.
“Alright, you can get off now,” he said as he released you.
“Cool! Thanks Jami!” you smiled at him as you put the package down.
“Come here,” he said, pulling on your arm. “Let me look at your head.”
“I promise it’s fine!” you said, trying to wave it off as nothing.
“Mhm,” is all he said. Inspecting the top of your head, he kissed it before letting you go. “There, now it’s good.”
“...Oh.” is all you said, you face pinker than a raspberry.

Kiss the Girl
Tumblr media
PAIRING: Idia/Kalim/Neige/Artemiy/Epel x Female Reader (Romantic) (Separate)
SUMMARY: They have become great friends with (Y/N), and have even developed a crush on her. But a spell renders her mute, only broken with true love’s kiss.
There came the accident in Crewel’s class. A student messed up his potion and it became a spell, jumping right out of the pot. It bounced off the walls as everyone ran out in a panic. But it ricocheted off the window and hit you in the back.
You were taken to Crowley’s office by Idia, who was already planning his revenge on that student. When Crowley was done examining you he explained that you’ll never speak again unless you have true love’s kiss. Obviously you were skeptical at first, but trying to refute him proved futile; you couldn’t speak!
When you left with Idia you immediately grabbed his hand and pointed to your lips. Idia knew exactly what you were hinting at and wanted none of it. What if he kissed you and it didn’t work? Then you, the girl he’s been in love with for a month now, will never be with him. He declined and walked you to your dorm, shortly after leaving to his.
After receiving a spam of pleading texts from you, Idia finally gave in. Your whole body glowing as your voice was restored. And it wasn’t glowing because of the curse being broken. It was because of Idia’s hair turning pinker by the second.
Tumblr media
Kalim was throwing a big party and everyone was invited. A student that had recently transferred offered Kalim a special type of fruit juice, but he didn’t want to drink it so he offered it to you. The very next moment the student is running out of the building as Jamil chases him and you’re clutching your throat in pain.
You woke up in the infirmary with Kalim holding your hand and tears running down his face. The nurse explained to you that the substance you drank temporarily poisoned you, but has a lasting curse effect. You wouldn’t be able to speak until they found a spell to break it.
Kalim kept crying long after the nurse left, mumbling under his breath. “I almost killed her. My friend. My true love. I almost killed her…,” his grip on your hand began to hurt. But more importantly, you were shocked at his confession, albeit likely unintentional.
You kissed Kalim, both as a way to calm him down and to confess your love as well. He looked at you in shock before smiling and hugging you, gushing about his love for you. To the surprise of both of you, you replied back as well.
Tumblr media
Neige ran from his work the second he had heard the news; a cursed apple had made its way into your lunch and after biting into it, you couldn’t say a word. Neige forced back tears as he held your face in his hands.
He’s always waited for the day his princess would come, but right now what you needed was a prince. He was going to be your knight in shining armor no matter what. Always loving you and already seeing the ways your friendship can still work even with this curse.
The boy nearly passed out when he heard that true love’s kiss would break the spell from the professors. Neige gripped his heart and covered his face as he blushed a soft pink. This was his chance to see if you both were maybe meant to be.
You had proposed the idea and he immediately hopped on it, suggesting a more fitting scenery to help set the stage. He did a quick, soft kiss. When your curse broke and you could speak again he pulled you into a tight embrace, breaking out into song.
Tumblr media
Sam had accidentally sold you a cursed ring that made you mute. When Artemiy heard about it he laughed at your predicament for a bit before trying to help you. Making jokes about how he can’t hear you, that you’ll have to speak louder, and playing charades with you.
Despite how serious the situation is, his laidback personality helped calm you down. You both spent most of the day together relaxing. And while everything seemed fine, Artemiy was actually a teeny bit worried. He didn’t want his friend and crush to never talk again.
So Artemiy turned to fairytale books. The princesses would befall into an unfortunate mess and true love always seemed to save her. A lightbulb flickered in his head as a puckish smile plastered his face.
He spent the whole next day disappearing and reappearing, sneaking in kisses all over your face. It was essentially a game of cat and mouse. When you finally caught and tackled him to the ground he rewarded you with a kiss on the lips, which broke your ring into pieces and became the start of a brand new relationship.
Tumblr media
Ace was trying to pull a prank on you. He took one of Epel’s apples, dosed it in a potion, and gave it to you. Little did he know, but should’ve realized, that he messed up the recipe and accidentally cursed you.
When Epel found out what had happened he almost pummeled Ace into the ground. It took Jack holding Epel and Sebek holding Ace for Deuce to mend the situation. The guys were confused as to why Epel seemed to take the failed prank so personal. To which the latter walked away with you in hand.
Epel promised you to find a cure even if it kills him. You wrote down on a piece of paper to ask him why he cared so much. “I just…I’ll-I’ll explain after you’ve been cured.” Despite how much it pained him, Epel went to Vil for help with this one.
Once he had found out the cure was true love’s kiss, Epel couldn’t help but hold a smug look on his face; finally a chance to impress his crush by showing her how reliable he is. He was nervous when telling you since it might not work with him, but another, much larger part, just knew it had to. And thankfully, it did.

Hiya! Could I request a oneshot for if Jamil and Kalim swapped personalities? If possible I'd like it to have no reader, but if not then gn!reader is fine ^^ Platonic relationships all around, wether there's a reader or not.
Hurt/Comfort and fluff mostly, for how it happened it's most likely a potion gone wrong.

╰┈➤"Life is not fair, maybe it’ll never be, but Jamil and Kalim didn’t expect to be hit once again by their contrasting lives due to a potion for Crewel’s class."
╰►No reader, oneshot, 2.8k words.
╰►Note: Thank u for requesting! 💫. I was planning on dividing this on two parts due to the number of words, but I decided to let it in one part, hope u enjoy it~. English is not my first language, so feel free to tell me if there's any grammatical mistake <3.

“Wrong bottle, that one is red, you need to use the one with a lighter color, it needs to look pinker than that.”
“Sorry!”
The leaders of the Scarabia Dorm were in the middle of the lab, a bunch of bottles and containers next to them, as Jamil tried to assist Kalim in practice for an incoming test. It was a rather complicated subject, and they both knew Crewel wouldn’t expect anything less than perfect for the day of the exam.
“Although it smells nice, doesn’t it? Professor Crewel said it was supposed to smell like vanilla, right?”
“Lavender.”
“What?”
“It was supposed to smell like lavender, not vanilla.”
Without further panic, the vicehousewarden started to check every ingredient they used until that moment, quickly finding a bottle that had the wrong tag.
“Oh, I wonder why it didn’t have the right name on it?”
Jamil sighed. “Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the first-year students were in charge of labeling the new components…” He raised slightly the object to get it closer to his nose, as he tried to recognize the smell of the strange liquid. It didn’t smelt similar to anything he could remember; he would have to ask professor Crewel about it later. “Let’s finish for today, we’ll continue tomorrow, once I get to know what’s this.”
“Alright! I’ll help you-”
“Don’t worry, I’ll clean up quickly. You can go ahead and come back to the dorm. Dinner is ready, and the rest of the students should have set the table by this hour, don’t make them wait.”
Kalim gazed at him with concern, but he shrugged it off, he already knew his vicehousewarden wouldn’t accept his help, as he tried to offer assistance a hundred times before; but it was fine, Jamil was perfectly capable, he trusted him even for the smallest tasks.
“Please join us as soon as you finish here, it’s not a Scarabia dinner without our favorite vicehousewarden!”
“I’m the only vicehousewarden of the dorm, Kalim.” He stated plainly.
“Regardless, we’ll wait for you!”
“Whatever, just make sure to eat before the food gets cold.”
“Sure thing.”

“Animal Language, Alchemy, and…ugh, flying lessons.”

Azul mumbled quietly as he thought about the classes he had for the day, quietly trying to organize his tasks for the day. Until he remembered the practical work he had for alchemy, with no one else than his classmate Jamil.
“Ah, speak about the devil.” The Octavinelle dorm leader said, gazing at the Scarabia second-year that walked through the hallway, his usual red hoodie being replaced by a dark sweater that complemented the burgundy vest he wore as uniform. A change of look, maybe?
“If it isn’t Scarabia’s vicehousewarden, Jamil Viper. I suppose you recall that we’re partners for today’s assignment, don’t you?” He greeted; his signature confident smirk placed on his face.

Until Jamil spoke.
“Azul! Good morning, it’s nice to see youuu. Of course I remember, I look forward to working with you, we’ll rock those alchemy exercises!” An unusual and bright smile made its way onto Jamil's expression, his words being said with a cheerful voice that made Azul shiver.
Who poisoned Jamil? He questioned with a surprised look.
“Sorry?”
“Ow, you look troubled, it’s something the matter?”
“I’m completely fine.” He quickly answered. “Although it seems I should be the one making that question, is there a reason for you acting with such a weird demeanor?”
“I don’t think so~ Besides the fact that I couldn’t wake up as early as usual today, I guess. I was supposed to prepare breakfast, but when I woke up, the rest of the students had already done everything! I had time to braid my hair by myself instead of doing it with magic, so I have been feeling quite happy, haha. Thanks for worrying about me, either way.”
Okay, now, this was scary.
“It’s nothing.” Azul laughed awkwardly. “But I’ll see you later for the alchemy class, if you excuse me.” He walked away. Where to? To find Jade and Floyd, they had a new deal to offer to the leaders of Scarabia.
“Oh, see you then!”
The dark-haired student continued his walk, keeping in mind his mission to find his dorm leader, when he was called by someone, as he reached an empty classroom.
“Jamil?” An exasperated voice could be heard behind him, so the vicehousewarden turned around, only to encounter the gaze of the person he was looking for ever since he woke up.
“Kalim!”
“Jamil.” He repeated, annoyance more evident this time. “I’ve been looking everywhere for you! ”
“That’s funny, I was doing the same.”
“It’s not funny, I asked professor Crewel about the potion from yesterday, he said the component most likely caused a swipe of our personalities.”
“Sounds cool.”
“Once again, it’s not, so we’ve got to fix this as soon as we can. This morning I had to deal with a bunch of students asking me where you were for breakfast, so I tried to go to the kitchen to make it myself and they didn’t allow me to set not even one foot in the kitchen! What have you been telling them about me? It’s ridiculous for a housewarden not to work in his own dorm.”

“Uhm? You think so? You never seem to be bothered when I do all the tasks by myself, so it’s fine, right? Although I don’t know why I slept in today, maybe it’s better if we take the day off to figure out what to do, we’ll look for a cure tomorrow~.”
“We can’t wait.” Kalim was quick to shut down the idea, his frown being more and more prominent as Jamil kept speaking. “We’ve got responsibilities to fulfill, we can’t just go ahead and drop everything just because you want to wake up late-”
“You do it all the time, though.”

“Sorry?”
“You just do things when you want, without worrying about how busy It’ll make me. Like, when you do parties, I spent all the afternoon cooking and working on preparations, and then I go to sleep very very late after cleaning. Let me rest a bit, okay~? I shouldn’t have to do everything all the time.” Jamil pleaded with a pout on his lips. His voice was relaxed as he felt well-rested for the day, but deep down, it was still true.
Kalim remained silent for a few seconds, considering the situation more seriously, now that he could see more clearly the expression on Jamil’s face.
He recalled how tired looked his face the day before, with dark circles under his eyes, the way the sleeves of his hoodie seemed messy as he never had time to fix them, his neat braids that seemed stiff as he made them with magic, the minuscule stains that remained on his blazer after cooking day and night for the dorm.
Even when most of those elements weren’t present at that moment, Kalim was aware of the exhaustion that continued being present in his gaze, the marks he had between his eyebrows that were caused by his constant frowns, the burns on his hands from times when he was sleepy, even when he tried his best to be cautious all the time.
“It’s your duty as a servant of the family Al-Asim, that’s why you do it. Even when it seems to be a change in our behaviors, you still have a responsibility.” The white-haired student answered after reflecting on his words. Because that’s how it was supposed to be, right? Deep down, he doubted that was the correct answer, but his entire mind screamed at him to draw the line between the both of them.
There was a hierarchy to obey, whether he liked it or not; Kalim wished to be able to give a deserved moment of rest to his friend, but what would his family say? Is that how they expected him to act? Could he ignore his position to act freely without thinking about the way he was raised-?
“I know that, but I don’t want to!” Jamil suddenly outbursts, tears making their way through his cheeks almost with a dramatic demeanor, his childish sobs contrasting with the seriousness behind his simple words. It was a complex topic, one that was discussed in different ways, but in which Jamil never let himself show vulnerability, even after his overblot. And he would never do it by his own will.
“I wanna do things for myself! I wanna travel! I wanna feel relaxed! I wanna win first place without caring about anyone else, because even after I promised to put myself first, I still want to let you win! And it’s awful because I can’t enjoy my victories without feeling guilty for not obeying the instructions of my parents. I want to be able to go to sleep early, I want to wake up late, and I want to hate you enough to stop worrying about what you do!”
“Jamil-”
“You’ve always had everything without working as hard as I do! I know you’re doing your best as a housewarden and as a student, but so am I, and we both know we still won't have the same future. I don’t know what to do, Kalim. I really don’t. I always go ahead and tell you what you’re supposed to do, but right now, I don’t know anything. Kalim, what do I do?”
Kalim also didn’t know anything.
He stood dumbfounded, with wide eyes and a dry mouth, was this how Jamil saw him every time he felt lost? Every time he needed advice? Every time he trusted that his dear friend would have the answer to every question that crossed his head? It felt overwhelming, uncomfortable, and strange, because he didn’t have no idea of what to say.
Who was the person standing in front of him, and who was Kalim to act as if he knew him enough to ease his wounds?
Awkward arms surrounded the figure of the vicehousewarden, even when he was considerably taller than the dorm leader, it was the best he could come up with, even if it was selfish. ‘Hugs always are the best solution’ he used to say, so every time he felt gloomy, Jamil knew it was the right option. But what would make Jamil feel better?

He felt close, as he always has been, but at the same time, he seemed to be kilometers away. Was that distance always there or did he just notice it? Maybe he ignored it on purpose?
“I’m sorry.”
“It’s not your fault. I know you-”
“It’s not my fault for being born in the family I did, but I’m responsible for the workload you have.” The white-haired student said after reconsidering his ideas, even when the whisper of the supposed power structure remained in his thoughts, he knew ignoring them was the least he could do. “I know I won’t be able to solve it in this state, so let’s go make a cure. In that way I’ll be able to speak sincerely to you.” He offered his arms to Jamil, who followed him to the door even when he still kept crying.
They left the classroom, only to see the figure of a fellow dorm leader. Now I can understand why Jamil used to avoid him... Kalim thought.
“Good to see you, Kalim. What’s this bottle I’m holding, you might be thinking?  It’s just a new potion I created, which might be the solution to all your current problems. And don’t worry about the payment, we can discuss it after you fix your issues, because I’m so benevolent. I know it’s not a deal you can’t reject, but still let you room to consider it, how nice of me.”

Azul stood outside the classroom, not even dissimulating how long he had been waiting for them to get out of the classroom. And even when he seemed to be on his own, Kalim knew the twins probably weren’t too far away.
“Don’t act as if you didn’t know the answer, Ashregrotto.” The dorm leader answered plainly, gracefully taking the bottle out of his hands. Azul chuckled, already thinking about what he’ll ask in exchange, not noticing how Jamil drank a sip out of the bottle, quickly cleaning the area he put his lips on, and then giving it to Kalim.
“Just remember that, in the same way as in the first potion, you can’t drink it, you just have to smell the-”
Gulp.
“…the brew.”
Kalim suddenly felt dizzy, and soon enough, he lost track of the environment that surrounded him. All he could see was black.

“No, no, he folds that part to the right, he says it looks better that way. Don’t forget to leave that in the nigthstand next to his bed, the second box… Uhm, sure, just make sure not to mess the order of the cabinet of seasonings, he’ll get mad if you do. Alright! Thanks, see you later.”
Where the hell am I…?
Jamil stared at the blank ceiling above him, trying to remember how he got there, what was this place, exactly? Wait, was he at the infirmary…?
He slowly sat down on the bed, carefully, as his head felt heavy due to the pain, and he scanned his surroundings. Soon enough, he was encountered by a white shape that ran towards him, almost tackling him due to the pressure of the unexpected hug.
“Jamil! You’re awake!”
“It seems like it, Kalim.”
He spoke without much emotion, as the dorm leader was stating something obvious, when a sudden rush of consciousness hit him coldly. The potion, the morning he woke up feeling different, and the way his behavior changed. Oh, great Seven, spare him some mercy, let him live through this horrible embarrassment.
“We’ll go on a vacation next week!”
“Sorry?” Jamil stared astonished at Kalim, who interrupted his internal misery with his abrupt words.
“I know you don’t want to talk about what happened, that’s okay! But I wanted to tell you that I’m sorry for ignoring your feelings, I thought I already knew you better after the incident during the winter break, but maybe it wasn’t enough. I’ve been trying my best to be a good friend in my own way, but I know I should try to do it in your way, I’m so so so sorry that I didn’t-”
“It’s alright.” The vicehousewarden sighed, he knew he couldn’t take back the words he said before. “We’ve talked about this quite a lot, we can leave that for later, I guess. Now, what did you say about a vacation…?”
“Oh, right! You can’t stop me because I already made arrangements with the headmage and our parents, everything’s done. I know I said I would ask you how you want to do things, but I was 100% sure you’d enjoy it…Though I can cancel it if you don’t want to, no worries.”
“But our tasks at Scarabia-”
“As I said, I fixed everything.”
“Fine.”
Jamil sighed; he should have expected something of the sort. But for the first time, he could say he wasn’t bothered by the antics of his dorm leader. Even when the conditions weren’t the best, they know each other ever since they were children; sometimes Kalim had no clue of what went through Jamil’s head, but he sure had a wide acknowledge of small things his friend liked.
It was a rather complicated issue; maybe they were the ones to blame for it, maybe they both were innocents, it wasn’t clear at the moment. Perhaps only time could help them understand the connection between an oblivious first son and a talented servant, and maybe they could let go of those titles somewhere in the future.
For now, he could only try his best to set his priorities and heal from the unfairness of life.
“That reminds me, I brought your hair accessories. I figured you might want to style it as soon as you woke up.” Kalim commented, giving him a small bag, filled with the ornaments he usually wore.
The vicehousewarden suddenly touched his head, he hadn’t noticed that his long hair wasn’t braided as it typically was.

“…Can I braid your hair?” The Scarabia dorm leader asked, a small smile on his face. “I did it sometimes when we were younger, remember?”
“Yeah, it was awful.”
“Hey, you said it looked nice!”
“Because my parents would have scolded me if I said anything else.”
“…I promise I’m better at it now.”
Jamil chuckled tiredly, but in contrast to the expression on his face, he moved slightly to make room for Kalim to braid his hair.
“I’ll let you do it once, just because we’re friends.”
“WE’RE FRIENDS NOW?”
