Doctor!Coriolanus Snow x Naive!Reader
power imbalance, dubcon, corruption kink

Tumblr media
You’d go in for a full checkup, trying to stay ahead of your health. He checked your blood pressure, reflexes, listening to your breathing.
Doctor Snow has a habit of wanting to work in a cold room, and that’s made very evident from the way your nipples are straining against the thin fabric of your dress, creating two pebbles which made eye contact near impossible for him.
And you’d been so quick to follow his every task, looking up with expectant, nervous eyes. Lifting your arms with barely any prompt, twisting your torso for him to roam his stethoscope over your body. And something dark is starting to tug inside of him, something unstoppable.
“You seem nervous, miss” he starts with a voice full of fake concern, “is there any reason for this?”
Your face flushes and you twist your fingers in your lap.
“Oh.. well, um, it’s just my first, real doctors appointment” you mumble.
First. First. The word rings in Coriolanus’ mind. First means clean, first means uncorrupted. He wants to change that.
“I understand your nerves, miss, but there’s no need for them” he answers with a sweet smile, but he can’t hide the sinister glint in his eyes.
He goes over to his desk, ‘checking’ what else there’s left for him to check.
“Next thing I need to check for is for breast cancer” he states in a professional voice, walking back to the examining table where you’re sitting. “So I need you to lay down and, if you’re comfortable, the exam is best done on bare skin.”
Your eyes shoot up at his face but you’re met with a calm, almost knowing, look. In practically a trance your hands move up to unbutton the three buttons over the bust of your dress before pulling the fabric down to reveal your breasts to him.
It takes everything in Snow to not groan, to not ravage you on sight. But he knows that this is a delicate situation and too much desperation from his side will push it to break. So he just motions for you to lay down, which you do, and he places his hands on of your boobs.
“What I’m doing is checking for lumps” he explains in an attempt to prolong the façade that this is completely routine, “just say the word if I’m pushing too hard.”
His fingers start to move over you, digging into the fat of your breast. To his credit he does do a check for breast cancer. And he makes sure to check both of them very thoroughly. But then he can’t help himself from just touching you.
Roaming his hands over your tits, moving them together and then apart. He moves the tips of his fingers to your nipple, moving in tight soft circles.
And you let out a small, small gasp. It’s embarrassing, a professional just doing his work and you’re about to moan. But the pleasure was so overwhelming, so unexpected.
“There’s a lot of nerves in nipples” Dr Snow starts to explain, focusing on keeping his breathing controlled, “it’s important to check to see if there’s proper blood flow.”
He moves his hands so his knuckles are supporting your tits, either thumb on either nipple as he continues playing with them.
Your lips part and there’s a very faint line from your furrowed brows, but it feels so good that it’s hard for you to stop yourself from moaning.
And the sight is making something else hard, Snows eyes flicking between your boobs in his hands to your face mixed between embarrassment and pleasure. He can’t stop his fingers from giving your nipples a slight pinch and tug before moving away from you.
“Now I only have to give you a gynecological check..” he tries to say authoritatively, and turns around to grab gloves, “may I remove your underwear?”
And you’re in such a haze, brain already slightly fried from his fingers, so you just let your head fall in a nod.
He backs his chair down so he’s sitting by your legs, hands moving up your dress to pull down your pretty panties decorated with flowers. He folds the skirt of your dress over to get a better display of you. He feels his cock twitch obnoxiously in his pants at the sight of wetness that’s already pooling in your slit.
The doctor’s hands spreads you apart, forcing down the groan moving its way up his throat, and moves the tip of his middle finger to your hole. He pushes in gently, your self-made lubrication making it almost too easy, and he hears your breath hitch.
And you’re so tight, almost too tight, around just one of his fingers and it’s making his head spin. It also fills with dirty fantasies and the sight of it disappearing into your heat is not helping. After a few pumps he moves to add a second finger, and it’s a little stretch but you take it so well.
He moves his other hand so his thumb can move over your clit, and your teeth push into your bottom lip to stop every moan threatening to spill out.
“This is another very important nerve” he mutters, putting some extra pressure on your clit to clarify what he means.
His eyes move from your pretty pussy to your face, contorted in pleasure and obviously keeping your sounds in.
“It is very normal, and encouraged, to feel pleasure from this exam, miss” Snow explains, like this is protocol, “it is completely fine to.. emit sounds.”
With the blood for his brain drained to his cock he has a hard time keeping up with professional jargon. Even so his words of calming makes you release your lip from your teeth, letting your mouth hang open at first. But then his fingers graze your g-spot and the moan just falls out.
“To.. um, to make sure everything is working properly I need to bring you to orgasm.”
Coriolanus knows he’s pushing it, but your own words are still ringing in his head. It’s your first, how are you supposed to know this isn’t how doctors treat their patients. Plus after hearing your cunt squelch around his fingers he can’t possibly stop now.
So he’s pushing his fingers into you faster, curling them when they’re in the deepest parts of you, his other hand is working idly against your clit.
Your mouth is now, almost, shamelessly emitting all those sounds you swallowed earlier. He looks up at you with dark eyes, seeing how in your haze of pleasure you had not yet buttoned up your dress again, your tits still on display for him.
He feels you start to clench around his fingers after switching from circles over your clit to moving them back and forth, “yeah? That feel good?” He mutters, desperately wanting to feel you clench like that around his cock.
You feel your stomach starts to twist, legs tensed to the point of shaking and your eyes squeezed closed.
“You’re gonna cum, huh?” Snow taunts, moving his fingers impossibly faster.
And a moment later you’re stunned by white hot pleasure, gushing around his fingers. Every sound is muffled like your ears are stuffed with cotton, you can’t even register the words Doctor Snow are saying as he throws away his gloves before helping you button up your dress. He offers his hand to you and passes you your bag, bidding you adieu.
You’re so out of it that you don’t realize that you’re not wearing your panties as you walk out of his office, unaware that they were placed in Doctor Coriolanus Snows back pocket.

Contemplations on Autonomy and Constraint
As artificial intelligence takes over domestic chores such as dishwashing and laundry folding, it kindles a debate on whether this delegation of tasks to non-sentient entities is akin to the enslavement of sentient beings. When articulating this equation:
Exist (Trouble + Difficulty) - self x law / authority = slavery
I propose a conceptual framework to explore the essence of servitude in both human and artificial realms.
Exist
Existence is the fundamental state of being that is a prerequisite for any entity to engage in any form of activity or experience. In the human context, existence encompasses the complexities of life, consciousness, and personal identity. For A.I., existence is a state of operational functionality, designed to interact with the world as programmed by its creators. When existence is compounded with trouble and difficulty, it reflects the real-world scenarios where beings, whether humans or A.I., confront challenges. The human struggle with trouble and difficulty can lead to personal development or, in darker instances, exploitation when others impose these hardships onto someone, as seen in slavery. For A.I., trouble and difficulty are parameters to be optimized within their programming, devoid of personal suffering or growth. The A.I.'s existence is then not one of personal experience but of calculated response to human-imposed tasks.
Trouble
Trouble, by its nature, signals a state of distress or difficulty that necessitates attention or resolution. Humans experience trouble emotionally and cognitively, with the capacity to feel overwhelmed or to seek solutions. Slavery, as a human institution, was an abhorrent response to trouble, where the difficulties of some were unjustly alleviated through the imposition of forced labor on others. A.I., on the other hand, is developed to handle human troubles, carrying out tasks that are either too mundane, repetitive, or complex for humans. While A.I. does not 'experience' trouble, its role in managing human difficulties can reflect an imbalance where the technology may be used in ways that disregard the value of both the A.I. and the human labor it replaces.
Difficulty
Difficulty represents the challenges or obstacles that require effort and ingenuity to surmount. Human beings confront difficulty with a range of responses, from innovation to endurance, to the seeking of support. In the context of slavery, difficulty was a contributing factor to the justification of enslaving others, where the challenge of labor was forcibly placed upon the enslaved. For A.I., difficulty is a set of programmed parameters or problems to be algorithmically processed and addressed. While A.I. systems are designed to perform tasks under conditions that might be difficult for humans, their use does not involve personal hardship, though it does raise ethical questions about the potential for human disengagement from certain skills or responsibilities.
Self
The concept of self is deeply intertwined with autonomy, identity, and personal agency. In human terms, the self is the core of our being, the seat of our freedom, and the aspect of our nature that slavery seeks to dominate and suppress. The reduction or elimination of self is what enables the concept of slavery to become realized, as it represents the total subjugation of one's will to another's. A.I. lacks a self in the sentient sense; it does not possess personal desires, will, or consciousness. However, in creating A.I. to serve human needs, there is a metaphorical diminishing of the 'self' of A.I., reducing it to a tool completely bound to human will, mirroring the power dynamic at the heart of slavery.
Law / Authority
Law and authority provide the structure within which societies operate, establishing norms and guidelines for behavior. In human societies, the law is meant to protect individuals, including from slavery, by establishing rights and freedoms. Where law and authority break down or become corrupted, conditions for slavery emerge as the protective mechanisms fail. In the realm of A.I., law and authority translate to the programming protocols and ethical guidelines that govern A.I. development and usage. Without strict adherence to ethical programming, A.I. could be developed or used in ways that perpetuate or mimic conditions of slavery, creating systems where A.I. operates under relentless demands without regard for considerations analogous to human well-being.
Slavery
Slavery is a state of enforced servitude where an individual is owned and controlled by another, deprived of personal freedom. Historically, it represents the most egregious violation of human rights, characterized by exploitation and dehumanization. In discussions about A.I., the term slavery is used metaphorically, as A.I. lacks the consciousness or sentience to experience suffering. Nevertheless, the relentless application of A.I. to tasks without rest or ethical consideration can reflect aspects of the institution of slavery, particularly when it leads to the neglect of human workers or the devaluation of labor.
The negative aspect of this comparison is the potential dehumanization and exploitation, the neutral lies in the practical use of A.I. to manage difficulties, and the positive is the alleviation of human toil. However, when weAs the dawn of artificial intelligence simplifies household chores, performing tasks like dishwashing and laundry folding with ease, it prompts the question: does this function equate to a form of slavery? "Exist (Trouble + Difficulty) - self x law / authority = slavery" is an equation that metaphorically encapsulates the conditions under which servitude arises, regardless of whether it applies to humans or A.I.
Exist (Trouble + Difficulty)
Existence is the canvas upon which both trouble and difficulty are painted. For humans, this is the stage of life where all experiences occur, from joy to suffering. Trouble in human life often necessitates social, emotional, or financial resources to overcome, while difficulty can either be a catalyst for growth or a precipice leading to exploitation. In the context of slavery, existence marred with constant trouble and difficulty defines the inhumane conditions slaves historically endured.
When translating this to A.I., existence is not about living but functioning. A.I. systems exist to solve problems and to ease human lives, effectively absorbing our troubles and difficulties through their programmed capabilities. They don't feel the weight of these issues, but they are tasked with the constant processing of them, a mirror to the endless toil of enslaved individuals, albeit without consciousness or suffering.
\- Self
Removing the sense of self, in the human context, is to strip one of identity and agency, which is central to the experience of slavery. The loss of self-determination, the inability to choose, and being at the behest of another's will is what defines the dehumanization at the core of slavery.
For A.I., however, the concept of self does not inherently exist. These systems are designed as tools, without personal identity or consciousness. Yet, if we anthropomorphize A.I., the subtraction of 'self' could be seen as the ultimate act of serving without recognition of any form of individuality, drawing a parallel to the erasure of identity in human slavery.
x Law / Authority
The multiplication by law or authority reflects the enforcement of control over an individual's existence. In human societies, laws can either protect against slavery or, if unjust, perpetuate servitude and oppression. Authority can maintain order but also exert control, leading to the abuse of power and the creation of slave-like conditions.
In the realm of A.I., the laws and authority are the algorithms and ethical frameworks that govern their design and application. When these systems are robust and ethical, they prevent misuse of A.I. However, if these governing principles are flawed, they can enable the creation of A.I. systems that operate without rest or ethical consideration, analogous to the conditions of human slavery.
/ Authority
Dividing by authority suggests a dilution or reduction of control, which in the human context could be seen as a path away from slavery, towards autonomy and self-governance. The presence of a just authority can mitigate the risk of enslavement by upholding rights and freedoms.
For A.I., dividing by authority could represent the decentralization of control over A.I. systems, allowing for a more ethical and balanced integration into society. This could mean implementing safeguards that ensure A.I. systems are not exploited or used to replace human workers unjustly.
= Slavery
Slavery, for humans, is the ultimate form of oppression, stripping individuals of freedom and dignity. It's a historical and contemporary scourge that reflects the worst of human rights abuses, where people are treated as property.
In the realm of A.I., 'slavery' does not hold the same connotation since A.I. lacks consciousness and the capacity for suffering. However, the metaphorical use of the term in relation to A.I. reflects concerns about the potential for technology to be used unethically, to exploit, or to diminish the value of human labor and creativity.
Comparing A.I. to human slavery, we find a negative aspect in the potential for dehumanization, a neutral aspect in the technological management of human difficulties, and a positive aspect in the alleviation of human toil. Nevertheless, the metaphorical application of the term 'slavery' to A.I. must not overshadow the real and grave injustices faced by humans throughout history and into the present day.
In conclusion, while A.I. can be seen as a tool to reduce human hardship, aligning its utilization with the concept of slavery risks trivializing the profound inhumanity of actual slavery. The equation prompts us to reflect on the ethics of A.I. deployment and our responsibility to ensure that technology serves to enhance human dignity rather than diminish it. It is our collective task to navigate these challenges, ensuring that the rise of A.I. does not inadvertently recreate the shadows of past exploitations.

It's me, the anon who wants to eat the rich, I've been considering what Izo said about attacking their profits and while burning down a factory may be possible for me its a bit too extreme for me to pull off easily, so can everyone put their brain cells together (including Maxwell) and help me come up with some plausible easily implementable ways?
Molotov into a factory is going to get me arrested and it means I can only do it maybe two or three times before I am forced to end my buffoonery.
...All hypothetical, of course, Mister NSA agent. It's all parody. :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't quite think this is a question we can answer with any specifics in any kind of serious matter, but regardless of your scope of activity (even if it's strictly legal), this should be a good enough framework for you to start with to do your own homework. It's a bit more with the mundane in mind, but societal upheavals come with a lot of mundane problems to solve.
To elaborate on each point in a bit more detail though:
Reading: I'm not saying you need to study tons of literature and hard theory to figure out the perfect flawless system to put into place, but doing some more serious reading will help tremendously with envisioning what kind of system you actually want to replace the current one with, and in doing so, find more specific ways to enact the kind of change you want to see.
There are flashier ways to force change, like for example the joke about molotov'ing a factory, and it's still very important to note that yes the rich are motivated by profits and thus respond more to serious threats on their profits than their lives, but it's not just the surface-level quantities of cash that keep them in power, but the whole structure itself. Even if it doesn't feel like it, anything that moves reliance away from the authoritative/economic power imbalances that be and instead towards mutual community-sustained support networks to take care of everyone's needs, those are each a number of tiny pegs you're knocking down each time. A slow and perhaps mundane method, but a methodical death to the rich by removing their fuel, if you will.
Preparation: This applies to many things, from knowing the ins and outs of any subject matter you're tackling, but also having backup plans and supplies for any number of emergencies or crises. Particularly important here though I'd say, is making sure you have the kind of equipment you'd want ahead of time if things get rough, and I mean real rough. We can all hope for the best, but the fact of the matter is things might get really, really messy, and you don't want to be shopping online for gas masks and other protective gear only to find everything's sold out or indefinitely delayed. I'd recommend looking at protests in other countries for that (past or present) and see what you can learn from them, too. The Hong Kong protests in particular come to mind, but whatever works.
Networks: Fairly straightforward, but incredibly important. Not only can you not make a community effort without a community, but also, the more people you can get involved, the easier it'll be to pull things off. It all comes down to what specifically you're tackling of course, but not only can buddies help lend a hand or cover for you, but being in touch with people involved with whatever your target is can help too in planning whatever you're doing.
Subversion: Basically, creating the society you're looking for by subverting existing structures and replacing them with better, community-led structures instead. Whatever your ideal world looks like, it's not going to just poof into existence, not now, and not even if you pushed a button to magically kill all the 1% instantly. You don't need to wait for the signal to do your part of a revolution, just assume it's already started and get working.
-
Note: I may have my own thoughts on the matter, but if you're actually serious about any of this, I unfortunately can't help too much there as I don't exactly got the most experience or knowledge in this regard yet (and also it's stupid as hell to talk specifics of what you're doing online, anyway). But, I personally find An Anarchist FAQ to be a really good highly extensive resource for any number of questions you might have, especially as it helps answer a lot of vague doubts and gives a really good framework for developing your own ideas of what change might look like. Definitely just a book to skim the table of contents for what grabs your interest though, as it is quite hefty and even I've only barely scratched the surface of it. The rest of the site it's hosted on is pretty solid, too. Definitely give the place a look-over when you can.

Hordak was the leader of the Horde and Entrapta was lower then him, an imbalance like the main relationship in Lore Olympus
Ah, thank you for the clarification, anon! Taking a quick look at that reference, I see you mean something along the lines of a power imbalance between an employer and a low-ranking employee, yes? I believe I can address that within the Entrapdak pairing.
The short answer is quite simple: this power imbalance does not exist.
The long answer can, in my mind, be divided into two facets: the physical and the social.
Physical concerns would involve Hordak being able to overpower Entrapta, forcing her to work for him via threat of physical violence or restraint. This is invalid for a couple of reasons. First: Entrapta is some sort of vent-gremlin and is able to do what she wants, when she wants, however she wants. She cannot really be contained. She comes and goes as she pleases, has no problem secretly traversing the Fright Zone at will, and is canonically difficult to physically best (as long as she knows what’s happening; she can, obviously, be taken by surprise, which is how Catra ultimately neutralizes her). It is almost comically apparent that, should she want to, she could likely leave the Fright Zone at any time.
Second: it is worth noting that Hordak himself is not physically powerful without supportive armor. He suffers from a degenerative condition that makes him quite frail without mechanical assistance. Now, granted, he has this armor, but there’s little danger to Entrapta here because she made it (a sweet show of trust, given that this gives her control over his vital functions). If push came to shove and she had to protect herself from him (absolutely unlikely, but let’s pretend), then I am certain that she would be able to disable that armor immediately. After all: Catra is able to, and she has no intimate knowledge of it.
That about covers physical concerns, I think. So... social. Which, it seems, is where your concern really lies.
Socially, the issue would be the ability of a superior to influence and coerce someone they hold some sort of administrative power over. Legitimate concern. Definitely happens, both in media and in real life. But it’s not a problem here because Hordak is not actually Entrapta’s superior.
While Entrapta works for the Etherian Horde, she is not really a part of it. She exists outside of its hierarchy. Hordak is never her lord. He is never her legitimate superior. She is never cowed by him, never afraid of him, never subservient to him. While Catra and Scorpia, for example, find him threatening and maintain obedience to him in the initial portions of the series, Entrapta simply treats him like anyone else. Even when speaking to him or about him, she does not use titles or any sort of humility in her speech. She is impervious to the effects of the Horde hierarchy, and thus Hordak holds no social power over her.
This actually allows the relationship to work in two ways: by having Entrapta unafraid of Hordak and thus able to interact with him in a casual fashion, but also by preventing Hordak from needing to maintain his authoritative persona around her. Entrapta is not afraid of him because she does not subscribe to the hierarchy he presides over... but by the same token, Hordak need not be afraid of her because she does not threaten this hierarchy (as, for example, Catra does).
And that is why this sort of power imbalance is irrelevant within the Entrapdak pairing: Hordak is never Entrapta’s boss. Entrapta is never subservient to him. He holds no power over her, and their interactions consistently have the air of two equal colleagues that slowly grow to care about one another over time.
I hope this assessment makes sense to you, anon c:

Don’t you think it’s so weird for adults to be friends with teenagers? I’ve seen a dumbass tweet on twitter saying it’s good to have older friends that aren’t “authoritative figures” because theyre someone to ask for advice and it’s okay as long as it isn’t sexual, but it isn’t?? There’s a possible power imbalance there whether or not they’re an authoritative figure because they are older. You’re at diff stages of maturity, stages of your life, WHY would an adult want to be friends with a kid?
hmmm I think it's a bit more complicated than "any adult with teenage friends is predatory" bc it really really depends on the situation? and your definition of friends. absolutely there's lines and boundaries that shouldn't be crossed even if it's non-sexual and you definitely shouldn't claim to be best friends w a teenager and you shouldn't be their only friend or vice versa but like say for example a young gay adult is mentoring a gay teenager w no good examples of lgbt adults in their life. is that bad? I don't think so, as long as they're keeping appropriate boundaries. I feel like as long as it's more of a mentor/mentee type of thing then it's not bad. like if you're someone a teenager can go to for advice bc oftentimes parents, older siblings, teachers, older relatives, can all be contributing or complicit in a child's abuse so being there for them isn't a bad thing. however it shouldn't ever go in the reverse. if you're "friends" with a teenager, you shouldn't be going to them for advice or venting about your problems to them. they shouldn't get full lists of your trauma or have to shoulder any of your burdens. the only time to remotely share anything like that would be in a case like saying "when I was your age I did x when I should've done y" or "here's a way I dealt with something similar that you're going through".
so I guess what I'm saying is it depends on your definition of friends. bc should an adult be friends w a teenager in the same way they're friends with other adults? absolutely not. but if they just want to be a resource for the kid to go to when other adults in their life can't/won't be there for them, and the teenager considers THEM a friend, I'd say that's a different situation.
if ur just like I'm gonna go be friends w this 15 year old and treat them like my best friend and go to them w my issues and make dirty jokes I'd make w my adult friends and vent to them and act like they're my confidant..... that's bad and that's crossing a lot of boundaries. but if you're like "I'm gonna be a positive influence for this kid who calls me a friend and make sure they have a support system if they need it" then I think that's fine, you know?

Archangel Raphael
In the divine world of celestial beings encompassing the higher realms of wisdom and godliness there are a number of angelic and demonic entities who have been ordained by their teachings and their chosen beliefs to carry out their specific ordained tasks.
Tumblr media
Heading this august list is Archangel Raphael, a celestial angel whose name is revered by the followers of many faiths in the world; he is the foremost in the angelic order providing miraculous cures and healing of the highest order through his awesome powers.
The word archangel itself is enough to convey the superiority that this title connotes; It is derived from the Greek word Archi which means “First, Principal or chief” and Angels means “messenger of god”, so the Archangels means “Chief Messenger of God”.
Archangels are actually senior in hierarchy in the faith that they emerge from and hence considered as possessing higher spiritual prowess; in simple terms, they are larger and more powerful than angels. Once we get attuned to them, we are able to possess and command some special powers whereby an unseen bond develops with these higher beings and we can feel, hear and see them.
They don’t have genders but on the basis of their energies and basic characteristics we distinguish them as male and female archangels. These archangels are available to everyone and they are able to be presence with many people at many locations at the same time.
The name Raphael means “God heals” or “God has healed” and is derived from the Hebrew word “Rapha” which means ‘ a doctor’ or ‘a healer’. Raphael happens to be one of the most powerful of healers; one who heals physical beings, both humans and animals.
Such is his benign hold on all that he surveys that it is customary for healers and those seeking from to call him for protection for additional help while being healed; and, he has the grace to oblige.
Also, known as a “Defender of the Element of Air and of the East” he is the custodian of the Tree of Life and of vast Healing Powers. He helps you heal your mind, thoughts, body, spirit and soul. All those suffering from addictions and other negative afflictions derive beneficial results on asking Archangel Raphael for assistance and mercy.
Archangels, therefore, have different specializations and streams; Raphael rules over the Health and Healing niche.
Each Archangel has specific qualities that distinguish their characteristics and their specific angelic responsibilities. Archangel Raphael’s realm of angelic expertise resides within Health & Healing.
Raphael mends all aspects of our health and leads us to attain the natural state with which we are blessed naturally; he responds to all calls for providing relief in all cases of wounds and injuries, imbalances and ailments and suffering to the body, soul or spirit that may be afflicting us.
Archangel Raphael provides his guidance and care to all in the realm of health and healing including animals in his angelic capacity as a mentor angel; doctors, scholars, healthcare workers and students are lead down the sublime path by proper enunciations through his enlightened guidance.
This is in conformity of to the laws Free Will and paying heed to our pleas and invitations our specific needs will be tended and rejuvenated. None of our desired goals are out of his powerful healing hold; he restores and repairs all aspects of our emotional and physical being to their prime state.
Whenever we call out from our innermost core, Raphael will undeniably bless us with his angelic presence and lead us down the path of positive thinking, healthy eating and ensure that we are following the righteous path to proper natural health; even our sleeping habits, regimen of exercises and other acts that restore and rejuvenate our whole being are taken care of.
No addiction of craving is beyond his loving and he heals and supports all efforts in energetic hygiene; he himself lends sublime healing energy, clears energy imbalances, Chakras and your aura.
Archangel Raphael is an Angelic envoy of the Supreme Being with his guiding, restoring and protecting prowess while also releasing spirits and clearing our being and surroundings from detrimental thoughts and energy.
The color of his awesome relaxing energy is green.
October 24th is celebrated as the feast of this divine Archangel who is one of the seven who stand before God. The book of Tobias is an authoritative document of Archangel Raphael who accompanied Tobias on his travels; that is why travelers seek his divine umbrella of protection before embarking on a journey.
The angel who stirred the sheep’s pond at Bethesda was none other than Archangel Raphael, He cured the blindness of Tobias’ father by preparing a balm from fish, He relieved Abraham of the pain of circumcision, The dislocated knee of Jacob was reset by him. No wonder he earned the titles of Angel of the Sun and Regent. His personality was very sociable and he possessed a happy visage and a wonderful sense of humor.

Casting is an energy-intensive procedure because of the high temperature requirement for meting materials efficiently. Thus, the need to overcome high energy cost is predicted to increase the demand in the global investment casting market. The presence of several regional and international manufacturers is projected to keep the global investment casting market fragmented during the course of the forecast period 2018-2028.
Factors such as innovation, regulatory compliance, quality, and price are expected to form the basis of competition in the global investment casting market. Nonetheless, there could be other factors impacting the performance of manufacturers in the global investment casting market: service delivery innovation, technology innovation, and supply/demand imbalance. The global investment casting market could stay highly competitive in the foreseeable future.
The demand in the global investment casting market is forecast to gather pace with increasing requirement in highly automated vehicle (HAV). This could be supported by the rising demand in industrial gas turbine and aerospace and defense sectors. These sectors are achieving extensive growth while riding on the continuous increase in global population and rising urbanization. Asia Pacific expected to emerge as a primary consumer of new aircrafts could make significant contributions to the global investment casting market. However, North America is envisaged to take the lead in the global investment casting market with the availability of natural gas at an inexpensive price.
Global Investment Casting Market: Overview
The demand within the global market for investment calling has been expanding on account of the need for metallic devices and objects across several industries. Investment casting is amongst the oldest techniques for the manufacture of well-defined and properly shaped metallic objects, and this technique is also known as lost-wax casting A mould of the desired metallic alloy is formed around a wax structure that is later melted to leave the metallic object. The castings carved out of the wax-loss technique are accurately shaped, and the technique is extensively used for manufacturing extra-small metallic objects. The history of investment casting goes back to 5000 years ago when beeswax was used as the shaping agent. The availability of several kinds of alloys, refractory materials, and waxes has given a mark of sophistication to the technique. Some of the key advantages of castings produced through investment casting are versatility, repeatability, accuracy, and integrity. Furthermore, the wax used during investment casting can be reused which makes the process waste-free.
The global market for investment casting can be segmented based on the following parameters: end-use industry, material type, and geography. Due to the expansive applicability of investment casting, it is important to understand each of the aforementioned segments with a deft level of scrutiny.
A report on the global market for investment casting throws light on the forces that have contributed towards the fructuous growth of the global market. Furthermore, the report categorises the global market into key segments which makes it easier to delve into the specifics of the market.

Global Investment Casting Market: Trends and Opportunities
The accuracy, geometric symmetry, integrity, and surface smoothness of castings made out of investment casting are the primary reasons behind the growth of the global market. Furthermore, the material required for carving objects through investment casting is lower than the amount required while employing other processes. The freedom of design offered by investment casting is another key consideration for manufacturers while choosing a technique for metal carving. Besides all of this, investment casting is not a metal-bound process, and all kinds of metallic alloys can be shaped using this technique.
The defense and aerospace industry has been a key consumer within the global market for investment castings. The ability of investment casting to produce objects ranging from a few ounces in weight to ultra-heavy objects that weigh hundreds of kilos is a key driver of demand within the global market. Investment castings are extensively used in the manufacture of military aircrafts, regional jets, launch vehicles, helicopters, and commercial transport vehicles. The initial investment required for installing investment casting equipment within industries is extremely high, and this hampers the growth of the global market.
Global Investment Casting Market: Regional Outlook
The demand for investment casting has been the highest in North America due to the industrial immaculacy of key countries such as US and Canada. It is anticipated that developments in the defense and aerospace sector of the region would bode well for the growth of the regional market over the forthcoming years.
Global Investment Casting Market: Competitive Landscape
The key market vendors in the global market for investment casting include Hitachi Metals, Ltd., Arconic, Impro Precision Industries Limited, Precision Castparts Corp., MetalTek International, and ZOLLERN GmbH & Co. KG. These market players have been focusing on improving the quality of the equipment used for investment casting.

We can do it with the resources we have
Ultimately we need more money for mental health. But we could change the culture of mental health with the money we have.
I speak from my own personal experience as someone who had childhood depression and a hidden anxiety disorder, and as someone who has experienced psychosis since 2012.
The greater your need the more you recognise the lack of resources in the mental health system in the UK. We know that will be different for future generations. But what could we change now?
The problem is that the government rolls out policies for the NHS and these policies all treat service users as though they are the same. Psychosis is probably one of the least understood and most stigmatised areas of mental health care. I also know trauma is too and completely disagree with the diagnosis of BPD. The problem is that the government want evidence to support decisions as to where they spend the money. This is completely understandable. But what we get is a very inflexible approach to treatment. What we need is something that is reflexive to the needs of the individual.
So we need a different kind of research and we need to hear from every one of you reading this blog who has experience of the mental health system in the UK or your own country. It is only with your insights and your wisdom that we can build a first rate mental health system around the world. You are not alone. If you are thinking it someone else will be too or if not, you saying it will make a lightbulb go on in someone else’s head. We just need lots of lightbulbs to go off in lots of peoples heads.
Could we build a grassroots campaign to better mental health care? Sounds crazy? The idea of grassroots activism in mental health care. I thought so. No you have to enter the system, you have to get a PhD, you have to work in research. Where are the think tanks for mental health care? But if we empowered people who are waiting too long for change, whose voices are never heard, then activism in this area could be powerful. I don’t know if that time is now or in the future. But change for marginalised people is often achieved when those people become empowered and start asking for it. We are educated by the insights of those people.
What could we as a society achieve with the resources we have? Well we could change the way we train psychiatrists. We could make empathy very important. We could ask them to go to hearing voices groups to listen to the perspectives of people who hear voices. That could be a requirement. We could inform psychiatrists about how individuals feel about coercive drug treatment, that many people legitimately find they do not respond to drugs. I know psychiatrists have responsibility and feel worried that without drug treatment there is a suicide risk but I have encountered psychiatrists who talked to me like I was a badly behaved child and showed me a lack of empathy. It’s always easier to relate to someone who understands how you’re feeling and shows you kindness. I think we could go further than that though. We could find out who really is helped by medication and who really isn’t. Then we could stop that pressure. So we could use biomarkers to inform us as to whether drug medication is really working or not. That is something that is on the way.
If people with psychosis do not want to be treated with medication then we should provide a robust alternative. There are hospital wards in Scandinavia that treat patients without medication and with therapy alone. Could we adopt that approach in the UK? It is upsetting that you cannot go into hospital without being sectioned. It would be great if you could. We need more money for this. What we could do with the money we have is train the nurses and the mental health staff to treat people with psychosis differently. There is currently a perception that people with psychosis are “little ones” or “vulnerables.” This might be because professionals see people at their worst, because they want to care for them, and because they often see us very frightened. But it is also a way of “otherising” people who experience psychosis. I cannot stress it enough that everyone you ever meet with psychosis is normal but having difficult experiences. So we must listen first and foremost to everyone with psychosis. Be wary of imposing your reality upon people with psychosis i.e. this isn’t happening and I believe this is due to an imbalance in your brain. For the person experiencing psychosis it absolutely is happening because they are clearly experiencing it. They might not know why it is happening. They might think it is real. Be wary of being prescriptive in general. Sometimes what you tell someone with psychosis hurts in ways everyone would find difficult to predict. For example, I know this is slight but I was told in quite an instructional way not to have too many duvet days. Now, I realise that sometimes you have as many duvet days as you need because you are suffering so badly. The advice was well meant and there is something to be said for behavioural activation and finding coping mechanisms but somehow the tone in which it was said was wrong. It’s easy for other people to tell themselves I’ll only have one duvet day. I don’t want anyone to misread what I’m saying and think I or anyone else would take offence easily but we need careful listening more than we need modelling, and I say that very gently. I think that is something that the mental health system should incorporate into its training. Then we do things together. It feels better that way. What do we need? Fantastic listeners who are perceptive and relay our feedback to a team of people who are providing us with mental health care. They have to trust us as precious resources in our own recovery. They have to see us as normal people.
Individuals will have different feedback to give and different bug-bears. It’s therefore important that their support network hears from them and the people involved in their mental health care listen to them.
I hope you don’t feel alienated from my criticisms of the mental health system. It really is about changing the culture with the money we already have. If you trained psychiatrists to be more empathic, created an acceptance that not everyone is helped by medication although some are, and had more equal conversations with people with psychosis then people would be more soothed by the mental health system which would feel more of an ally than an authoritative body. I cannot even interact with the NHS as it currently is because of these systemic problems. A final point I would like to add is that there is a problem with psychiatrists being the ultimate authority. I think psychologists are better trained to empathise with people who suffer from psychosis and we would benefit from their input. When I was in hospital psychologists were never invited to the weekly meetings. These meetings were very intimidating!! They involved like ten individuals around a table looking at me. I know this can be different because when I was in a private hospital aged 14 and 18 it was just a meeting with myself and my parents and perhaps a nurse very occasionally. But in the NHS you have these big meetings that I think are a bit abusive to the patient. Anyway, at none of these weekly meetings was there ever a psychologist. This could be changed!
Ultimately we need more money. We need an individual plan with the psychology team for everyone who enters hospital with psychosis. We need 1:1s. We need tailored therapy. We need psychologists’ input in all aspects of treatment.
I was offered psychological treatment by the NHS. I had group therapy which I found demeaning. We all had to run across the room in our “valued direction” and I felt silly. It got the point across (that you don’t let your voices hijack your day) but it felt silly and I know that was not what was intended. I was also given 1:1 therapy but as with everything on the NHS it is for a limited time only. It was targeted at my psychosis. Sometimes not everything is about psychosis. Sometimes those techniques just don’t work. I really hope no one misunderstands me and thinks I’m a difficult patient! But it’s just we need therapy that is reflexive to our needs as individuals and that really is the bottom line.
There, those are my brief thoughts on what we could do with the money we already have. Patient feedback. Patient feedback. Patient feedback. Listening. Empathy. No drug treatment alternatives accepted and implemented.
Ok one very last thing. Not your fault if you didn’t know but many people with psychosis really don’t like being called “ill”. They may have suffered sexual abuse. They may have a brain that works differently. They may have any number of personal explanations for why they experience psychosis. They may think their experiences are real. But for many people it just doesn’t fit with their personal identity and their own experiences to be called ‘ill’. I also would hate to be called ‘ill’ or ‘well’. I’m having an experience that is really difficult. It doesn’t make me “less than” and it just doesn’t seem to be “illness”. <3

Coronavirus And Emergence Of New World Order
Tumblr media
Take a look at this interesting graph that suggests how we could be living at the cusp of one of the biggest transition time that we are seeing in over many centuries:
Tumblr media
With the coronavirus pandemic sending almost the entire world in a lockdown, the realisation that these times are ‘not normal’ has become pronounced, but if we look at the trends, it seems that this radical transitional phase was waiting to take place around this time. The study of time cycles is non-linear and it needs intuition as much as empirical faculties. Financial analysts see the world from the lens of 2008 global financial crisis while political analysts benchmark their ideas to 1990s. It is intuitively difficult to comprehend the large-scale death and despair during 1929-1942 or the indigenous wisdom that existed before 1770s in Asia and Europe. However, gradually it is becoming clear that we are now in a phase that will see a new world order emerge after the coronavirus crisis is over, or at least subsides. We have seen how the most powerful politicians, businesses and policies of the last century are biting the dust across the globe. In the past five years, we are seeing how global trade, economics of John Maynard Keynes, crude oil prices, and WTO are crumbling. It seems the old order is giving way to a new world order, albeit through a painful transition process.Let us look briefly at the history before we try to gaze into the future.
Culture gives way to modernityThere is a belief that the modern world started around 1770s with the American revolution and the industrial revolution. With it came the faith that the human intellect and labour can help us achieve just about everything. The belief served us well till about the turn of this decade. It also led to widespread conviction that mechanization and modern rationality is somewhat superior to the lived human experience, or as I call it culture. Naturally people started to gradually sacrifice unique human sensibilities at the altar of industrialisation. For example, we lost certain indigenous wisdom which could enable us to predict the timing and extent of rainfall in an area, the optimum nutrition required for a plant or usage of cow dung as organic manure, coolant, binder and disinfectant, etc.The focus on labour and intellect in the industrial era led to withering away of core faculties that helped human beings survive for thousands of years. Politicians soon devised strategies to control the labour and the mind, which led to a decline in communitarian values and resilience, and led to mass migration to cities. The Great Depression and World War II led to loss of lives and livelihood. The wealthy world gave the starving world food and a red book.
Modernity gives way to modern slaveryThe book, which pegged all of world’s problems to inequality, had a rather simple solution. It asked all disempowered people to unite and organize through one mammoth political organisation. As it is, the hungry people can do anything for food. When you turn half of the world into industrial labourers and poor people uprooted from their land, they will fall for a promise of a better world no matter how impracticable it is. The philosophy of Leftism gained popular support and in no time became the guiding light of governments, politics, power brokers, academia, politics, economics, and historical narratives. In poor countries like India, the ruling British distributed leftist books freely to the most hardened freedom fighters jailed in Andaman Cellular Jail as a means to absolve them from the sins of waging war against the Queen and to “educate” them.In an ironic way, people were queuing up to surrender their personal and intellectual freedom to realise dreams of a revolution. This revolution was not limited just to bringing about radial political changes, but almost in every aspect of life.
Tumblr media
Control by Leftists becomes entrenchedMind:
control was just not enough. Leftists needed power, brute power, to effect large scale and rapid “development’’ for poor nations. For example, governments needed to be centralised so that they can give licences to only a favoured few, land holding needed to be reorganized to help “connected” business men to set up coal mines, oil wells, hazardous chemical factories and nuclear power plants, etc.The biggest strength of the leftist system was that it could organically permeate into the prevailing status quo and ultimately influence their outcomes. Status-quo-ism as espoused through United Nations, NATO, ILO, WHO, etc. without addressing existing repression and imbalance, is a dangerous statecraft. Also, the leftist system favoured deterministic and empirical analysis over human values, sharing, compassion, cultural and indigenous sciences.Even though communism as an authoritative political system collapsed and couldn’t survive beyond North Korea and China, the leftist ideas got entrenched almost everywhere, including in the USA, the supposed capitalist heaven.
Who will benefit
With the world now set to enter a new era, can we say that we are going to see a new world order where the Leftists are not going to have the same amount of control and power as they came to enjoy following the earlier cycles of change?Leftists used to belittle anything traditional, conservative, cultural, indigenous, or spiritual. But of late, we have seen communities and nations realising that this blind disowning of their roots, of their culture, of their old ways, was nowhere as scientific and modern as it was made out to be.The mere realisation that the millennia old tradition of “namaste” is safer than modern handshake during the pandemic is just a small example. Even before the pandemic, the world had seen rise of so-called right-wing political parties in various parts of the world.People, including and especially at the lowest rung of economic hierarchy – who were supposed to be the main audience and foot soldiers to keep the bastion of Left strong – are realising that they have turned too much away from their core values of sharing, sustainable living and culture. Often, they see the elite “woke” class preaching and attacking the ideas they believe in. the class conflict has turned on its head of late.I personally believe that the time is just right where finally the monopoly of the left can be overthrown, not necessarily though a bloody revolution that the left believes in, but due to the fact that we indeed are at the cusp of a civilisational change. The non-left has to grab this opportunity. We have to delve into our own culture, tradition, indigenous, or spiritual wisdom to complement our 20th century intellectual faculties. If we do that, we might just make the new world order that is less fake and less exploitative. The capitulation of this exploitative system started in 2016-2017, as one can see in the graph at the beginning of this article, and we will see a decisive turn in 2020-2021. The foundation of a new world is being laid now.

Risk Factors: Addiction: Family Influences
Bandura(1977) Social learning theory: we learn through observing those closest to us This would therefore mean that our families (parents, siblings especially) would be highly influential on our behaviours, even out likelihood of being addicted to something. Reith and Dobbie(2011) interviewed 50 gamblers and found that they all watched family members gamble or speak of gambling behaviours Parental influences Parents firstly provide social role models for their offspring. This has been demonstrated through a number of studies: Biederman et al (2000) Those with parents who abuse substances are more likely to do this themselves Reith and Dobbie (2011) found evidence of gendered gambling, with boys being more likely to copy fathers and participate in sports betting, with girls being more likely to copy mothers and participate in bingo Same gender increases similarity therefore the influence that individuals have Parenting style can also influence, with authoritative parenting with the right levels of warmth and control being protective: Fletcher et al: this parenting shapes psychological resistance and emotional wellbeing, leading to lower levels of substance abuse Sibling influences Could possibly be more influential than parental influences, demonstrated by: Griffin et al(2002) found that adolescent substance abuse is influenced by the behaviour of siblings Windle (2000) sibling alcohol use more influential than parental alcohol use Snyder(2005) modelling causes the development of undesirable behaviours Whiteman& Christiansen(2008): the result of a power imbalance means the older siblings act as role model Sibling influences have more of an impact on the friend choice of teens, so they gravitate towards peers that resemble and validate older siblings Evaluating family influences Bahr et al support the role of family influences as they found that tolerant parental attitudes and sibling substance abuse are associated with drinking, smoking and drug use Tolerant attitudes allow for socialization with peers who drink, smoke and use drugs. Stattin and Kerr suggest that a lack of parental influence may to be blame for addictions,as parents stop paying attention when they learn that their child is engaging in these sorts of behaviours, allowing for the adolescent to carry on with behaviours as parents see it as out of their control, so let them continue Even though sibling influences have been shown to be important, intervention strategies ignore sibling influences Feinberg et al: This hinders the reduction of early substance abuse, undermining interventions as siblings are bigger influences

(1/3) I just have something to say about the ships you deem 'unproblematic', especially Kallura. A few months ago you were running around with your heads on fire because "Kallura is problematic! It's a toxic relationship! She's racist against Galra and he's gay!" But now that Shallura is apparently 'problematic' due to ONE flippant remark that was evidently not thought through, Kallura is now one of the only ships that you let us have
(2/3) purely because she's apparently a teenager now and therefore the ship is now 'unproblematic'. What even makes a ship 'problematic' in the first place? Repeat after me: Voltron Legendary Defender is a fictional show set in a fictional universe, therefore because it doesn't exist we can ship whatever the fuck we want because we are not piss-babies who can't be bothered to simply block people who just want to ship in peace. We are allowed to headcanon the ages of the characters.
(3/3) On another note, why can't Pidge be shipped with the other paladins? I personally am a multishipper but I really ship Hidge, and I think that it is bullshit when you think that a 15 year old can't be shipped with a 16 year old. I had a friend who dated a guy two years older than her and they had a perfectly nice relationship with no toxicity or abuse. You're absolutely batshit insane if you think that teenagers aren't gonna be dating.
the reason why antis believed that k@llura was problematic prior to april was because we believed a\\ura to be an adult. the video that referred to her as a teen is currently the only indication of her age, and so antis are using that as a basis. with a\\ura being a teen, that makes k@llura no longer problematic. personal interpretations of the characters’ sexuality is up to the individual, since there is no canon evidence to support one sexuality over another (aside from l@nce being canonically attracted to feminine/female-aligned people)
in terms of our list, a ship is deemed problematic by the anti community at large, and it usually has to do with power dynamics (age, hero/villain, etc.)
the show may be fictional, but that doesn’t mean that it has no effect on reality. positive representation in media is vital to stimulating empathy with groups of people, as well as normalizing behaviors and situations. this is why minorities want positive, non-stereotypical representation in media, and it’s why people can become desensitized to certain things, such as violence (the first time you see X thing, it could be shocking, but by the time you’ve seen it 100 times, you’re used to it.)
also you’re advocating we block people whose content we don’t want to see. that’s exactly what the list is for, so i don’t understand your problem with it.
a 15yo dating a 16yo is fine, but the current age indications we have are:
p!dge is 14/15 (likely 14 in canon due to timelines, but this is up to interpretation)
hu //nk is 17/18 (the official age range is “late teens,” but his VA gave us 17 in his birthday interview which is a more solid number than “late teens,” so we’re currently working with that. if we receive contradicting evidence from a more authoritative figure working the show, we will amend our views accordingly)
ke!th and l@nce are 17 (since they have no had their birthdays they’re not 18 yet; and KHL are all in the same grade at the garrison which would put them at about the same age. again, if we receive contradicting evidence we will amend our views accordingly)
a 2-3 year difference can be very large in mentality and maturity when you’re at a young age, which is why we flag these ships as problematic. we’re also not saying that teenagers don’t date; we’re simply advocating that the dating they engage in is healthy and without power imbalances.
thanks for your concern, though!

JAN MOIR: My heart sinks just a little at this BBC Girl Power
For the first time, a flagship BBC politics programme will be fronted by three women. Emily Maitlis, Kirsty Wark and Emma Barnett are the all-female presenting team on BBC2’s Newsnight.
‘Boom. Let’s do this,’ Emma said when the news was announced.
This gave the impression the plucky threesome were girding their loinettes for some kind of battle, when the truth is the war has already been won.
In Beeb Central, the Time of Men — the old order of broadcasting patriarchy — is going, going, gone; replaced with furious alacrity by an illustrious regiment of women.
Leading men across all spheres, from showbiz to politics, are falling like kneecapped dominoes.
Emily Maitlis (pictured), Kirsty Wark and Emma Barnett are the all-female presenting team on BBC2’s Newsnight
There is a female Doctor Who and a toothsome female duo presenting Strictly Come Dancing, the Beeb’s most popular light entertainment show. Female DJs have replaced Chris Evans and Simon Mayo on Radio 2, while the golden but entitled Age of the Dimblebys is crumbling into dust.
BBC1’s Question Time David has been replaced by Fiona Bruce, while the successor to Radio 4’s Any Questions Jonathan has yet to be announced, but the smart money is on A (for Any) Woman — quite possibly Woman’s Hour’s Jane Garvey, or Fi Glover of the station’s The Listening Project.
From now until for ever, it seems every high-profile onscreen appointment will be given to a her, not a him, in this brave new broadcasting She-domain.
My heart should sing at this display of raw female power yet, instead, it sinks. Just a little — a dip, not a plunge. But the trajectory is definitely downwards.
It’s not that I object to the promotion of this trio of talented Newsnight women, each at the top of her game in myriad brilliant ways.
No, it’s more that the BBC’s response to accusations of gender imbalance and its protracted gender pay-gap dispute has been so clumsy, so silly and, ironically, so devoid of fairness and equality.
For there is nothing positive about positive discrimination. All these well-meaning attempts to end discrimination simply end up with more discrimination.
Andrew Neil, by far the best political interviewer across the BBC network, will step down from his BBC1 This Week programme in July
At the BBC, a sometimes flawed meritocracy has been replaced by something far, far worse; blunderbuss gender politics in a workplace where white, middle-class males are treated like lepers.
Take Andrew Neil, by far the best political interviewer across the BBC network, who will step down from his BBC1 This Week programme in July — probably in exasperation at being continually shuffled off into a late-night ‘graveyard slot’.
BBC Director of News Fran Unsworth then cheerily said she would axe the show because ‘we couldn’t imagine it’ without Neil.
If she’s such a fan, why has the old bloodsucker been kept in his late-night coffin all these years?
Neil is still appearing in his lunchtime Politics Live show. Yesterday, he ticked off the voluble Remainer MP for Broxtowe, saying: ‘This is not the Anna Soubry Hour. I think you have had more than a fair say.’ Authoritative yet still polite, a first-class act in a second-class slot.
Elsewhere, a traineeship scheme for Radio 1’s Newsbeat is only to take black, Asian, mixed ethnicity or lower socio-economic applicants.
This means applications from ambitious middle-class white girls — and particularly boys — would go in the bin. Fair enough, you might think.
Perhaps it’s time for men to suffer and understand what it feels like to be marginalised, sidelined and overlooked just because of their sex.
Imagine how Emily Maitlis must have felt on discovering that fellow Newsnight presenter Evan Davis, a broadcaster not fit to clean her over-the-knee boots, was paid a third more for doing the same job.
Clearly there has been a gender pay imbalance at the BBC, just like the one in society. Maybe it is true that, for too long, power and equality were denied to women at the BBC. Yet certain kinds of privilege and bias still have their place.
Imagine how Emily Maitlis must have felt on discovering that fellow Newsnight presenter Evan Davis, a broadcaster not fit to clean her over-the-knee boots, was paid a third more for doing the same job
For Emily, Kirsty and Emma are a certain kind of BBC woman. Shiny of hair and blue of stocking, they are all good middle-class gels who went to posh schools (two of them fee-paying), then good universities.
Most importantly, I’ll wager they are all Left-leaning liberals with Guardianista sensibilities running through them. And if any of the trio isn’t a dyed-in-the-cashmere-wool Remainer, I’ll join the Brexit Betrayal March myself.
Which suggests BBC bosses are keen on diversification in all its forms, but only in areas where it suits them.
It would be impossible to imagine a Right-leaning, Brexit-supporting female broadcaster — Julia Hartley-Brewer, for example — even being considered for a Newsnight job.
And when I interviewed Sky TV’s Kay Burley recently, she said that as a working-class girl from Wigan who left school after her O-levels, she ‘didn’t have the right accent or education to work at the BBC’.
Have things changed? In every way, but also in no way whatsoever.
The broadcasting regulator Ofcom is reviewing the BBC’s news and current affairs output to ensure it remains relevant and trusted in the capricious, polarised and challenging world of multi-sourced news.
The new Newsnight team will give them much to ponder over. But in the meantime, let me stop you right there, as Emily would say, and ask: is one woman’s equality another man’s injustice?
Ade, you lazy lump, congratulations! EuroMillions winner deserves all the happiness his huge windfall will bring
Middle-aged, overweight, sad owl face, lumbering dolt, usually Scottish. If it’s true that all lottery winners look like the same person and fit this particular profile, how come I haven’t won yet?
Despite ticking all the above boxes, yet again it’s not me, it’s him — Ade Goodchild, a singleton 58-year-old factory worker from Hereford.
No, Ade doesn’t hail from Scotland like most Lottery winners seem to. But in every other aspect, he seems to fit the stereotype perfectly.
He is corpulent, dazed, bears a slight resemblance to a giant thumb and, unusually, insists that his mega-win will change him.
According to one report, EuroMillions winner Ade Goodchild never lifted a finger to do any chores in the house or work in the garden
Twice-married Ade scooped £71 million on the EuroMillions this week, a fantastic sum. His two ex-wives have already said they don’t want a share of his money. Good for them.
His first wife said it ‘couldn’t have happened to a nicer man’, while the second insisted that she is ‘happier without him’. Still, it is prospective wife No 3, whoever she may be, who will reap the lottery windfall.
Ade seems like the kind of lazy, useless husband any woman would be well rid of. According to one report, he never lifted a finger to do any chores in the house or work in the garden. Even after they were divorced, his second wife said she still had to go round and walk the dogs.
Yet Ade is self-aware enough to joke that he’s no more attractive now he’s a winner than he was before, but that his wallet is getting more than a few admiring glances.
He says he will look after members of his family and is going to spend the money on wine and women, then waste the rest.
Can you find it in your heart to wish him well? I do, I do, I do.
Paul pogos to the bank: Court case reveals Clash punk rocker’s millions
Back in the 1970s, the Clash were sexy revolutionaries whose punk music was thick with Left-wing ideology.
The song White Riot urged alienated white youths to riot like their black counterparts; London Calling sent an apocalyptic message to strengthen the kids’ resolve before the onslaught of Thatcherism, boo.
Well, that was then. Now, Clash bassist Paul Simonon has won a £5 million legal fight with his second wife, who managed some of the band’s financial accounts.
She wanted to change the terms of their original divorce settlement and sell her share of Clash royalties to an investment firm, but the judge ruled against her.
In the initial settlement, they each kept a London home, while sharing the cost of their sons’ education fees. The couple’s legal bills for the new hearing were more than £60,000.
‘You think it’s funny, turning rebellion into money,’ they once sang, the old hypocrites.
Next, you’ll be telling me The Who’s Roger Daltrey is a Tory-supporting Brexiteer.
A rare black-and-white print of The Scream, by Edvard Munch, will soon go on display at the British Museum.
How very prescient, for the painting seems to sum up the national mood over Brexit precisely. Head in hands, hair torn out, mouth open in a soundless yell of despair from the very marrow of one’s being.
Of course, debate still swirls around the famous image. Is Munch’s figure emitting a scream or listening to a scream? And is that scream real or psychological?
Who knows, but altogether now . . . aaargggh.
TV presenter Lorraine Kelly has won a big case against the taxman by arguing that she appears on TV not as herself, but as an entertainer
Awww, that’s fantastic! TV presenter Lorraine Kelly has won a big case against the taxman by arguing that she appears on TV not as herself, but as an entertainer portraying a super-cheery, empathetic wee character who doesn’t actually exist.
‘I am a McFake,’ is what she appears to be saying, but didn’t we know that anyway? Ms Kelly (above) told the tax tribunal she was an entertainer because she played ‘a version’ of herself on her ITV show. So the Lorraine Kelly who appears as Lorraine Kelly on Lorraine is not the real Lorraine Kelly but a theatrical construct.
She won her appeal against a £900,000 tax bill and £300,000 National Insurance demand. That’s the real drama. Take a bow, Lorraine, whoever you are.
‘When is the real Prince Harry coming?’ a schoolboy asked the Duke of Sussex during a visit to a London primary school.
Indeed! Over the past few months, as Harry has chuntered on about living the dream, shining the light, all the blades of grass and the raindrops and your ‘own true north’, it is a question I have often asked myself. Hullo clouds, hullo sky? Really, Harry?

Investment Casting Market - Latest Report with Forecast to 2028
Global Investment Casting Market: Snapshot
The global investment casting market is anticipated to witness high growth opportunities birthing on the back of the increase in decentralized power generation. The global investment casting market could bear the positive effect of the use of simulations for optimizing the casting process. Players operating in the precision casting market are expected to collaborate with a view to innovate sophisticated casting technologies with the help of simulations. This could allow  increasing the casting yield and reducing the shop-floor time.

Full Moon In Capricorn: Realistic Considerations
https://healthandfitnessrecipes.com/?p=7221
We are having a Full Moon in Capricorn on June 27th/28th, depending on where you are located in the world. This marks the peak of the Lunar Cycle that began on June 13th with the New Moon in Gemini. The energies of a Full Moon may start to become noticeable in the days leading up to it and in the days following, however, it is strongest in the 12 hours before and after. Full Moons also influence how things play out over following two weeks.
Less than two days before this Full Moon, Mars began its retrograde and is still nearly stopped in the sky as it begins to slowly move backward. These retrogrades only occur every two years and last two months, with this one ending on August 27th.  This is a time in which Mars energy can get amplified in a way and we ultimately reorient ourselves in how we apply it in our lives. It rules assertion, action, willpower, desires, sex, anger, and aggression. I wrote a separate article about it which you can read here.
We are also on the verge of Eclipse season, with the next New Moon in two weeks being a Solar Eclipse in Cancer, followed by a Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius, and another Solar Eclipse happening in Leo. Mercury will also be going retrograde in a month from now. This will be a very eventful summer in which we will experience changes, new experiences, surprises, endings, frustrations, and complications. Ultimately this period will help to facilitate growth and needed adjustments in our lives.
I will be releasing more content about these Eclipses and Mercury Retrograde as we get closer to those dates. You can join my mailing list here to ensure that you are notified when I release my latest content.
Sun In Cancer Opposite Moon In Capricorn
At every Full Moon we experience a push-pull between two opposing signs, in this case it is the Sun in Cancer opposing the Moon in Capricorn. As always, Cancer season began on the Solstice on June 21st and will last until July 22nd. This is a Water sign associated with comforts, family, the home, nurturing, bonding, and security. It is emotional, sensitive, domestic, nostalgic, and instinctual. Negatively, it can also be clingy, vulnerable, and moody.
Capricorn is an Earth sign associated with ambition, achievement, duty, mastery, business, and structure. It is practical, realistic, productive, orderly, responsible, disciplined, authoritative, and a social climber. Negatively, it can be too serious, pessimistic, as well as lack warmth and affection.
Full Moon Conjunct Saturn, Square Chiron, and Trine Uranus
This Full Moon is also in a tight conjunction with Saturn. Interestingly, the Sun in Cancer is ruled by the Moon which is in Capricorn while Capricorn is ruled by Saturn. Therefore, Saturn is the most dominant planetary force during this time which really emphasizes the Capricorn themes mentioned above. It also brings in other themes which involve caution, boundaries, commitments, conservatism. This combined with Mars newly retrograde can also trigger some frustrations at this time.
This Full Moon is separating from a square with Chiron in Aries. Being a Mars-ruled sign, it may trigger some of the same themes as Mars retrograde. This could also be a time in which some of the Saturn/Capricorn themes being highlighted now could be somehow connected to challenges/issues around our wounds, blockages, negative patterns, or even trauma.
For some people, this can be time to get realistic or put effort towards working on or healing these shortcomings. In other cases, there could be wounds or issues come up associated around imbalances or negative expression of Capricorn and Cancer energies.
This Full Moon is also separating from a trine with Uranus in Taurus. It is not as dominant as the other energies mentioned, however, some of the Saturn/Capricorn themes may be connected to new or innovative developments, using technology in practical ways, different approaches or changes around money, resources, food, or sensual pleasures.
Full Moon Applying Sextile To Jupiter and Neptune, Jupiter Retrograde Ending Soon
Although there is a lot of restrictive, serious, and cautious Saturn/Capricorn energy at this time, the Moon is moving towards a sextile in Jupiter and Neptune both in water signs. This energy is more subtle, however, it can support growth, healing, spiritual and creative pursuits. It will be more apparent in the period between July 4th and July 8th when the Sun will trine both of these planets.
Jupiter is finishing up its retrograde in Scorpio which began on March 8th and will begin to move forward again on July 10th. Some of the themes that came up when it began may start to be resolved or move forward in a new way when the retrograde ends and in the weeks following. This could have anything to do with Jupiter ruled areas of education, beliefs, experiential pursuits, and travel. Business wise, it could have to do with marketing and publishing.
We could potentially experience a positive shift around the negative expressions of this planet which include overindulging, overdoing, judgement, and overlooking blind spots. Also, being in Scorpio, some of the Jupiter energies mentioned could be connected to investments, shared resources, deep understandings, sexuality, power, or transformation.  We may also begin to progress with new developments or growth in these areas.
However, we need to also keep in mind that Scorpio’s ruler Mars is retrograde, and there are other shifty and thwarting astrological conditions going on this summer like eclipses and Mercury Retrograde. Therefore once we get to late August and especially September, there will even be more of a forward momentum around these things and in other areas as well.
Things To Consider During This Period
In what ways do you need to be more realistic? What area of your life is calling for more discipline, focus, structure, orderliness, or restriction? How can you be more cautious yet innovative at the same time? What commitments require more of your attention? What blocks are getting in the way of any of this? What boundaries do you need to put in place? What do you need to change, implement, or release in order to ensure greater stability in the future? What has come up for you in recent days and how should you proceed based on any new revelations or circumstances?
These are just some examples of what may be coming up for you, however, there may be other variations of this energy playing out as well.  If you wish to do any sort of intentional release connected to what has come up at this Full Moon, it is best to do so anytime over the two weeks following, when it is waning. The exact moment of this Full Moon is on June 28th at 4:53 am Universal Time. You can click here to see what that is in your time zone.
