The song of the day is
LORNA SHORE - Sun//Eater
From what I can tell this is a lot of people's favorite Lorna Shore song, and it's for good reason. On top of this being such a banger, the lyricism and where it fits into the story of the album is just so fucking good.
I'm stopping myself from explaining this entire album (mostly because I've already done it) but the little bit of context of this being the point of his lucid dreaming where he embraces his new abilities and begins to become the God of this dreamscape.
The story is very similar to the story of icarus, although it does play out differently. In this case he can fly as high as he wants to, going as far as to consume the sun to show that nothing could stop him in this form.
Although his wings were not as weak as those of icarus, the narrator still meets their doom by the end of the album
In a sea of flames
