I’m bored at work so let’s come up with some more engagement of convivence au. Continuation of this post and this post
Dear gentle reader,
This author has heard that one Miss Penelope Featherington is now engaged to one Sir Phillip Crane. The two have been seen together at every ball this season so one should not be surprised that a proposal had followed. Though one must wonder . . .
Lady Whisteldown’s Society Papers, 20 May 1815
Penelope shrugs when she sends the column off. “It would be strange if she didn’t say anything.”
Phillip nods in understanding.
The gossip explodes when Phillip and Penelope’s engagement is announced. People have not forgotten that one Miss Marina Thompson had been Phillip’s wife first, and the children are biologically his brother’s. Some claim that Penelope was following in Phillip’s footsteps in marrying to honor her cousin’s wish to see her children looked after. Others wonder had something been going on between them before. Some even saw it as romantic that now the two can follow their hearts in love while others were confused. Wasn’t Penelope in a long courtship with Colin Bridgerton? Oh no, you didn’t hear? He broke it off last year, and at her own family’s ball to boot! Maybe this was why.
The engaged couple ignores everyone as they plan out their arrangement. Penelope would travel to London during the season with the children to work on her writing and help expose the children to small doses of society before they would officially debut. Phillip would visit them at least once a month. They would hope more often but estate running can leave one busy. Penelope would then return to Romney Hall after the season is over and they would live their life in Romney Hall.
That was their plan once they got married at the end of the season, it’s too bad that the Bridgertons planned on tearing it all to shreds.
Neither of them really noticed it at first.
It started out with Eloise becoming their unofficial chaperon. Sticking to Phillip and Penelope like glue.
Next was Colin calling on Penelope almost daily. He apologized about what he said last season. Penelope, whose rose-colored glasses were gone, and she had a future set, forgave him. They became friendly again, though Penelope is now stricter on trying to stop Colin from touching her as freely as he did before.
Then there was the balls, which started to set off alarm bells in Penelope’s head. Phillip and Penelope would share a dance or two as would be appropriate for an engaged couple, even though both of them would be happier in their corner. Grabbing the gossip Penelope needed for her column and leaving at a considerate time. But surprise, Eloise drags Phillip to the dance floor, or off somewhere with a lot of plants, and Penelope’s dance card is almost full of dances by Bridgertons A, B, C, and Simon. Portia would try her best to run interference. Despite her daughter forgiving the boy Portia hadn’t, and she damn well remembers what Colin Bridgerton had the nerve to say in her own bloody home. That’s when Violet would jump in to distract her.
It was during one of these distractions that Portia had enough.
“Why are your children so determined to keep Penelope away from her intended?”
Violet paused. “Portia we’re not-”
Portia gives Violet an unimpressed look. “Violet I am not dumb. Whatever game your family is playing at it needs to stop. Your son practically ruined Penelope last season with his careless words. Now that she is engaged with a comfortable future ahead of her, he is back to taking liberties we both should have stopped years ago.”
Portia sighs. “As your old friend, and as a fellow mother, I am asking you to please stop this. I know you believe in love, but that is not for everyone. Your family is lucky to have love matches.”
“Phillipa was a love match.”
“An exception, my girls knew from the beginning that a love match was a low possibility. I am thankful that Penelope sees that and not living in a fantasy.”
Violet follows Portia’s gaze to the dance floor where Phillip and Penelope were dancing. She looks further away to see two of her own children staring longingly at the couple. She knew that look on her third and fifth born.
“Portia, Eloise is in love with Sir Crane.”
Portia stiffened, her eyes narrowing into a glare.
“And Colin is in love with Penelope.”
Portia shook her head. “Love isn’t enough.”

Fredrick Phillip Crane
Nicknames: Fred, Freddie, The Fountain,
Profession: Professional Rugby player and Rugby Pundit/Journalist
Hobbies: annoying Amanda, Rugby, Cats, Pub Quiz (even if Penny won’t help him) formula 1, rock and stamp collecting,
Freddie might look like his father in every single way possible but his manners are very much Bridgerton.
From the moment he ate solid foods he was like a bottomless pit. He towers over the rest of his siblings and has the build that suited him to rugby to a tea.
After seeing what happened to William he insisted that he went to Uni along with his playing and training. He was recruited by Sarcens whilst still in secondary school and they were happy for him to go to Uni and college alongside his playing and training.
He did sports journalism and loves bugging Amanda by saying: “we’re like Woodward and Bernstein!”
Amanda would just yell at him and he’d laugh it off and crack on.
When he was a child he stumbled across his uncle's rock collection and asked what it was and from that day on he started his own and it seemed to expand onto stamps and he loved collecting old rare stamps and when he was away with the rugby team and with England he would collect them from abroad as well.
He’s very much a cat dad, much to the annoyance of his boyfriend who tells him their dog people… but Mr Tibbles and Bartholmew Mittens disagree…
He’s majorly obsessed with the F1 and his boyfriend George surprises him with paddock tickets to Monaco for his 30th birthday and it’s there he gets proposed to.

Eloise and Phillip’s Children
Sir and Lady Crane had five children with the older two being from Sir Crane’s first marriage: Amanda, Oliver, Penelope (better known as Penny), Georgiana, and Frederick. Amanda was the eldest, by seven minutes, and preferred to stay out of the spotlight. She grew out of troublemaking ways by the age of ten, although they never fully left her. Amanda was also the one Bridgerton granddaughter not to take a season, but it wasn’t a worry. She found her match in a neighbor’s cousin. Oliver was the eldest son and the second eldest. His troublemaking ways stayed with him a lot longer than they did his sister and he was always down to cause a little bit of a scene. He was, perhaps, an unusual choice but still eligible and eventually gave his heart to a merchant’s daughter, much to the ton’s displeasure. Penny could usually be found with her cousin and best friend, Agatha Bridgerton. They were inseparable, until it came to finding their matches. Penny fell for a duke… who also happened to be a fourth son. Georgiana was the most introverted of the Crane children, inheriting her father’s temperament. She became a sort of wallflower, but was still considered a good match as she was, after all, a Bridgerton by blood. However, Georgiana refused to bend when she fell in love with a viscount (and earl’s heir), who was rumored to be illiterate. Frederick was the youngest and that could be innately obvious at moments. He was a barrister, although he also had a wild side and eventually fell in love with an earl’s daughter.
Tumblr media
Amanda Mary Crane
Born in 1816, Amanda’s middle name was a play on her mother’s name. It was her father’s idea, just as he made the suggestion that Oliver’s middle name be George.
Amanda is the older twin and never lets Oliver forget that. Much to her displeasure, he ends up taller than her.
Amanda outgrows pranking shortly after her sister, Georgiana is born. However, she will still get into prank wars with Oliver. It’s part of how they love each other.
Amanda had a revolving door of interests, and tends to find a new one every few months. She’s been interested in botany, zoology, architecture, Roman history and more.
Amanda also finds that she really enjoys writing. She ends up writing a diary, which isn’t something she shares with people. However, she does end up gifting it to a granddaughter who she sees as a kindred spirit.
Amanda is also rather close with her cousin, Caroline Basset. They just clicked.
Amanda married Charles Farraday in 1840, when she was twenty-four and he was twenty-seven. Parts of their love story can be found in the second epilogue of To Sir Phillip With Love.
Tumblr media
Oliver George Crane
Born in 1816, Oliver is very light-hearted. He’s always made it his mission to lighten the mood, which is usually accomplished by jokes and pranks. It takes him a while to grow out of the pranks, which truly occurs shortly after his little brother, Frederick is born. He never truly grows out of pranks, though.
Oliver never lets Amanda forget that he’s the taller twin.
Oliver loves having cousins. He’s in-between Edmund Bridgerton and Miles Bridgerton and David Basset in age, so he doesn’t have a very close cousin. However, he is good friends with all three boys, even if he brings out the worst in Edmund.
Oliver does not enjoy his time at school. For him, the only saving grace is that his friendship grows with his cousins and he makes other friends. In a modern AU, Oliver would probably have a mild case of ADHD.
Oliver falls in love with Alice Linfield, a merchant’s daughter. She is from a middle class family that can afford to mingle with the ton. Alice is one of the few people who can understand Oliver’s impulse to lighten the mood but can also call him out.
Oliver married Alice in 1847, when he was thirty-one and she was twenty-four. They have one of the larger age gaps.
Oliver and Alice have four daughters, Victoria, Adelia, Vinnie and Zadie. Victoria Alice Crane is two years older than Adelia Eloise Crane. Adelia is three years older than Lavinia Amanda “Vinnie” Crane, who is four years older than Zadie Marina Crane.
Tumblr media
Penelope Violet “Penny” Crane
Born in 1825, Penny’s temperament is a combination of her parents’. She is generally fairly even-keeled, but can also lose her temper easily. In addition, she is a hopeless romantic and is not something people expect from her.
Penny’s godfather is Anthony and her godmother is Francesca.
Penny is quite close with her cousin, Agatha Bridgerton. They are almost like a Penloise 2.0, with fewer secrets. It never fails to amuse their mothers, and grandmother. However, she also really looks up to her older cousin, Amelia Basset.
Appearance wise, Penny looks like Eloise and therefore a Bridgerton.
Penny has a wild and fun-loving side, which often masks the personality traits that she inherited from Phillip. However, Penny embraces all of it.
Penny marries Christopher “Kit” Barrington, the Duke of Morcott. He also happens to be a fourth son, which means there’s all sorts of rumors swirling around Kit while they’re courting.
Penny married Christopher in 1849, when she was twenty-four and he was twenty-eight.
Penny and Christopher have five children, Alexandra, Hugo, Matthew, Robbie, and Viola. Their eldest child is a daughter named Alexandra Eloise Barrington, who is two years older than the twins, Hugo Christopher Phineas Barrington and Matthew Phillip Ambrose Barrington. The twins are four years older than Robert John Edmund “Robbie” Barrington. Robbie is three years older than Viola Penelope Barrington.
Tumblr media
Georgiana Eloise Crane
Born in 1826, Georgiana has her father’s temperament. She’s introverted, somewhat awkward, and generally fairly even keeled. She also has her father’s love of botany and plants. Georgiana is also closer to Phillip.
Georgiana’s godfather is Benedict and her godmother is Penelope.
As a child, Georgiana often trailed after her sister, Penelope, and cousin, Agatha Bridgerton. They rarely let Georgiana join in, despite the fact that Georgiana was only a year younger than them.
She is a wallflower during her entire time as a debutante. However, she does manage to form her own friend group with two other wallflower debutantes.
Georgiana and Eloise are often at odds with one another. Their arguments really hit fever pitch during Georgiana’s courtship with Viscount Wivenly.
Georgiana falls in love with Lucas Wivenly, a viscount. He’s an heir (and former spare) to an earl, and also has dyslexia. However, because this is the mid-1800s, no one knows what dyslexia is and there are many rumors swirling around Lucas’s struggles with reading and related-tasks. Eloise does not like Lucas at first. Phillip thinks that Lucas is a good man and that Georgiana truly cares for Lucas.
Georgiana married Lucas in 1850, when she was 24 and he was 27.
Georgiana and Lucas have two sons named Nicholas Phillip Edmund Wivenly and Isaac Lucas Benedict Wivenly. Nicholas is two years older than Isaac.
Tumblr media
Frederick Phillip Anthony Crane
Born in 1829, Frederick reminds his grandmother of his Uncle Colin. He’s jovial, friendly, and troublesome. He also has his uncle’s massive appetite. In addition, Frederick has Eloise’s temperament and takes after her more so than Phillip in personality.
Frederick’s godfather is Colin and his godmother is Daphne.
Frederick is older than his cousins, Richard Bridgerton and John Stirling by approximately two months. He is also extremely close with Richard and John, forming a trio with similar roles and personalities to their uncles ABC with Frederick being Colin, John Benedict, and Richard Anthony.
His siblings, parents, and grandmother are the only ones Frederick lets call him “Freddie.” Eventually, his wife is added to that list.
Frederick becomes a barrister. He decides that he would like to try and help those who are less fortunate for him. Frederick also has a strong sense of honor, something he inherited from both parents.
Frederick falls in love with Lady Beatrice Winslow, an earl’s daughter. Their match happens quite slowly, as Richard Bridgerton marries Beatrice’s twin sister and John Stirling marries Beatrice’s close friend. They are both a bit oblivious about their growing feelings over the two seasons that occur prior to their courtship beginning.
Frederick married Beatrice in 1857, when he was 28 and she was 24.
Frederick and Beatrice have two children, Louis and Dotty. Their eldest is a son named Louis Phillip Frederick Crane, while their youngest is a daughter named Theadosia Beatrice “Dotty” Crane.

Random Thoughts 🐝💭
Part of me really likes Marina and doesn’t want her killed off on the show. But…
The bigger part of me loves Phillip & Eloise together so much that the show cannot kill her off fast enough.
Trip her near a cliff, set her carriage on fire and push it into a lake. I don’t care if it’s different from the book.
Get it done. Phillip is lonely.

As the debate continues regarding who will be next for s4, I couldn’t help recalling the scene between Daphne & Anthony.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I see Eloise being an obstacle for Colin getting with Pen as Anthony was for Daphne with Simon. She, so far, seems to have a bigger role understandably in s3. & those familiar with Eloise’s book are aware that Colin, although reluctant & more distracted by food, had a part in hunting Eloise down & dealing with Phillip. Once things were sorted though, none of the brothers were really a serious obstacle in keeping Philoise apart. Granted the show could change that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Considering, thanks to the show, Colin & Phillip are already on good terms & perhaps pen pals. I can see Colin getting in touch with Phillip, sharing & getting advice from Phillip about his travels. Especially if Colin wasn’t getting any letters back from Pen. Those familiar with Eloise’s book know that Phillip is an engaging pen pal, which is saying a lot considering her standards for the opposite sex. But I wonder, with Phillip married (for honorable reasons) to Colin’s ex fiancée, how will Colin feel about Phillip getting with his sister?
From the little info we have regarding Benedict for s3, I’m guessing he will be filling Anthony’s shoes, I assume escorting Fran & Eloise during the season. I sense Kate might find out she’s pregnant, so she & Anthony take their leave from the season. Basing this off of the little we saw of them in the trailer. Basically I don’t see Benedict being an obstacle or even caring much other than being happy for Colin with Pen.
& Ben & Fran’s book don’t really show any siblings being an obstacle, Eloise & Colin seem more encouraging to the Benophie & Franchael pairings than opposed.
So if the creators have the siblings pairing off & want to keep the sister/brother groupings…….well

For the reverse tropes ask: reverse fake dating for Philoise
Okay so I made it a Reverse fake dating S3 Philoise au
Anthony sighed looking over at his family as he reviewed the guests for their next dinner " Baron Honeywell, Lady Astley, Madame Olsen, oh and for tonight's dinner the man who Eloise paid off to pretend to court her, will also be showing up so I want you all to be perfectly polite"
" I've said it before he's actually courting me !" Eloise snapped
"Of course he is" Daphne patted her shoulder
" We're just wondering how much you paid him to promenade with you" Hyacinth added " Sir Phillip doesn't look like he's strapped for money "
"I didn't pay him off! He asked me to promenade, it was his idea to dance with me at the Cowper ball" Eloise huffed
" We believe you sister, he also brought you flowers voluntarily" Benedict hummed "And whatever blackmail you have over him will never leave this room "
" Fine, Eloise didn't pay him off, I make a correction " Anthony rolled his eyes, but before his sister could thank him for defending her he continued "the man Eloise blackmailed into faking a courtship" The rest of the family made various humms of understanding
Eloise eye twitched, looking dangerously like she was about to punch someone " is it really so hard to believe that we actually like each other?"
Her siblings looked at each other and shrugged "Yes"
" You have to admit El, Sir Phillip is so normal and you are so.... You" Colin said gesturing to all of her being
"Hey what's that supposed to mean?!!"
"We don't mean to offend sister, it's just that you do tend swear off marriage in front of every man you meet" Francesca tried to explain gently " And Sir Phillip has two young children, that's not exactly a spring bachelor"
" He also likes gardening, medicinal tea brewing and estate management" Kate piped up ticking off her fingers " And you... The last time you picked up a flower arrangement pamphlet you used it as a cover to attend a political rally "
" He's a good boxer, and a good marksman but dislikes practicing both" Simon pointed out, seemingly being the only one who had actually spent time with Sir Phillip "You on the other hand almost got yourself shot chasing leads of lady Whistledown"
" You're fresh off a scandal, he's fresh off a failed marriage, admit it Eloise, there's no way you're actually courting" Colin pointed out cynically
" But we are! And I see that we don't have a lot in common but I do like him, I like him a whole lot, and I like his children" Eloise protested " why won't you believe me? he's been trying really hard to win you all over because he also likes me"
"Of course he does and just in time to make people forget about the political rally business" Violet Bridgerton announced entering the drawing room giving Eloise a wink " Sir Phillip has been the picture of the perfectly devoted suitor, whatever threat you have him under, it's certainly working" she said giving Eloise a proud pat in her shoulder
Eloise sighed, how could she convince her family that her relationship with Sir Phillip was real without revealing that they've been bonding over the loss of their loved ones and a secret love of banned books, in fact most of the things Eloise talked with Sir Phillip would either land her in scandal sheets again or in jail. But he was an avid listener and answered all her questions, no matter how impertinent or illegal. She was teaching Sir Phillip the finer points of social interaction because he seemed to be worse off than her when it came to facing crowds, while he taught her about the things he'd learned in University, Eloise didn't think they were that badly suited and welcome his courtship openly.
The problem lay in the fact that nobody believed they were actually courting! By this rate Phillip would propose and everyone would still think it was a ruse. God help her
An: I had so much fun writing this one

Fanfic Request--again
So, this one's Philoise. Did I spell that ship right?
Anyway, this is an idea by Gina Scarcella Narayan (a fellow Bridgerton fan) and me. Her idea, originally, and I just inserted my own and then she inserted hers and this idea for what's going to happen to show!Eloise's season came about.
Gina: The show follows roughly the same plot but with changes, especially to make each season different from the previous. I think what may happen is if Eloise is still angry at Penelope and they don't reconcile this season that she starts writing to Marina instead as she may want to confide with someone who was also "ruined" by Penelope and gets her contact details from Colin (he wouldn't know what she is writing about). They go back and forth with letters etc and as Penelope and Colin get together and announce this to the family/Eloise, she becomes angry with them (especially if Colin knows she's Whistledown), and runs away to see Marina.
(Okay, maybe not run away. She asked to visit an aunt near Marina and Phillip's home or if she's allowed, visit Marina's home and stayed there, if it's appropriate)
Me: Marina is still alive when Eloise gets to their house, they interacted, she told Marina about Penelope's betrayal (or don't tell her if it's OOC of Eloise), and Marina received the news with nonchalance. Phillip is happy that his wife have someone else to talk to, everything is alright and then, bam, Marina jumped to the Lake (as sometimes, people who unalive themselves look normal, happy, but would unalive themselves the next day, for example, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park). Phillip saw and saved her. Eloise and Phillip nursed her while she was sick with pneumonia. They are both devastated when Marina died. Phillip shut himself with his plants. Feeling guilty for opening Marina's wounds and reminding her of the past, Eloise takes it upon herself to take care of her friend's kids because their step-dad wasn't there for them. She stayed for the kids, it's not like Phillip is around anyway. She gave Phillip the what for after a while tho. When the ABC bros learned that Marina died--preferably after a month or so, through Pen. The Crane's solicitor could have contacted Portia--who told Penelope in passing after a while, being considerate of her daughter, who is still in her honeymoon, for once--since Phillip is uselessly ambling about, forgetting his duties, wallowing in sorrow--they confronted Eloise and Phillip. That's where the brothers beat up Phillip. Eloise told them nothing happened, with the maids and footmen and other servants in the house swearing up and down that what they were saying is true.
Gina: The brothers just shrug it all under the rug because no one else knows, and Phillip is "forbidden" to see her, and so they write letters (it could start if he's struggling with the kids now that she's gone and asks her opinions?). Then they would realise that they love each other and start trying to get together. Ohh, it might even work out that they meet up at the masked ball where Sophie & Benedict meet? Depends when they want to throw that in to get his story going too.
Me: If there's someone who could convince ABC that she was not compromised, it's Eloise. Anthony would be harder to convince tho as he wants his sister to marry. But! If B and C are on Eloise's side, your idea could happen.
___ So, that's the gist of it. Throw some Theo angst there if you want. Please tag me if you're gonna write it, pretty please? Gina and I would be waiting and would be so, so grateful.

Thoughts on the Season 3 Sideplots
*Spoilers for Romancing Mister Bridgerton and To Sir Phillip, With Love*
so i was rereading romancing mister bridgerton and it makes me wonder if philoise and benophie are both going to be set up next season. we know for sure that daphne’s ball isn’t happening next season since Phoebe isn’t there, but in the book it mentions that her servants wore silver dresses and it made me wonder if one of the other bridgertons (kate and anthony maybe???) will throw the ball at the end of RMB, which could be a masquerade for all we know. but at that ball (the whistledown reveal ball) eloise disappears to meet phillip crane. the ten episode thing would make sense if they’re setting up both of those things along with the polin plot.
this could also be who eloise’s secret friend is, i know we’ve been expecting it to be a woman but it might not be. that being said that would mean marina’s death would also have to happen this season which…i just can’t see that happening idk.

I love the idea of Eloise having a wild night and waking up married.
Add in her being afraid of commitment.
Her family discovering her marriage.
Her discovering her new husband has 2 rambunctious children.
It would make for a pretty interesting hangover.
How do you think it would all shake out?
Anon asked:
I remember you writing a scenario where Eloise and Phillip woke up married.
I love the accidentally married trope.
I would love to see Eloise find out phillip was not only her husband but the father of Two lil' shits. Instant marriage and instant motherhood.
I have to go find it but I think I remember. It was like one of two scenarios and this one was philoise waking up married. But I got you. Let me think of something fun.
I got an idea.
Phillip did not appreciate the pounding headache when he woke up that morning. Nor did he remember how he got back in his own bed. God he was gonna kill Michael. That hellion used the excuse that it was his birthday yesterday to get Phillip and Penelope to join him in getting utterly wasted at the bar. Michael had said something about them getting the sticks out of their asses and . . .letting go?
Phillip would roll his eyes if he could open them. The last time he followed Michael's definition of letting go, it ended with him becoming a father to twins after a one night stand with Penelope's cousin. So yeah, Phillip made it a rule to keep the drinking to a minimum in public.
A feminine moan was heard next to Phillip.
Phillip shot his eyes open, and hissed as the light hit them. Damn headache, damn Michael. Turning on his side he was not expecting to see a pretty brunette sleeping in the same bed as him. Oh no. Not again!
Phillip is gonna kill Michael.
Detangling himself from the sheets Phillip walked to the adjoining bathroom to find himself some aspirin and get this god awful taste out of his mouth. He has to find Penelope and Michael. He prays one of them remembers what happened, and one of them can keep Oliver and Amanda distracted while Phillip deals with the mystery woman in his bed.
Leaving a glass of water and an aspirin on the nightstand Phillip noticed a ring on her left finger.
No, no, no, no! Please don't be a one night stand. Please don't let it be a one night stand! He really needs to find Michael or Penelope so they can tell him he did not have a one night stand with a married woman!
Rushing out of his room Phillip followed the scent of breakfast down to the kitchen where he found his best friends. Michael was whistling while making waffles, eggs, bacon, and toast. Penelope was nursing one of those sugary caffeine monstrosities she keeps in his fridge. No sign of the twins though.
"Where are Oliver and Amanda?" Phillip asked.
"Their room," Penelope yawned. "I told them one of us would get them when breakfast was ready."
Phillip nodded. Good the twins didn't need to overhear this conversation. "Do either of you remember what happened last night?"
Penelope squinted, her lips slightly pouted. "Nothing much after arriving to the bar. We wished Michael a happy birthday. Maybe some dancing?"
Michael laughed. "You found yourself a pretty little lady to dance with Pip."
"Anything after?" Phillip asked.
Both Michael and Penelope shook their heads. Phillip groaned, face palming. Great neither of them are aware of the potential bomb up in his bed.
Penelope's sweet voice brought him back. "Pip? Are you okay?"
"Not really," Phillip sighed. "There's a strange woman in my bed currently, and she is potentially married."
Penelope's jaw dropped, Michael started to giggle. Both Phillip and Penelope sent their friend a glare.
"Michael this isn't funny! Phillip can't afford to have any more kids from one night stands! He's already got the twins!"
"And if she is married then we got an angry husband to deal with too," Phillip added on.
"Yeah but Pip, are you sure you aren't the husband?" Michael pointed to Phillip's left hand.
Phillip looked down. On his left ring finger was a ring. It wasn't the classic gold band but one of those cheap plastic ones one would win as some sort of prize at a festival.
Dear god what did he do last night?
"Who are you?"
All three friends froze. Shit that was the twins. Which means the mystery lady was up.
Rushing towards the dinning room where they heard the twins they came to the sight of Oliver and Amanda staring down Phillip's mystery lady.
The brunette looked towards the other adults. "Michael?"
Phillip caught sight of her left hand. Now in the light the ring looked just as cheap and plastic as the one on Phillip's hand. Actually it looked like it would work as a set with the one on Phillip's hand.
"Eloise?!" Michael exclaimed. He looked from the brunette to Phillip before bursting out laughing. "Oh Pip! This is the best birthday gift you could have given me!"

I've just been rereading your Or what? series and couldn't help wondering if you had any tidbit insights to share, whether it's anything to do with how Benedict and Sophie's relationship develops, how Phillip and Eloise met, how Anthony's proposal played out; literally anything you might like to share about it I'd love to hear 🧡
Right now I had Ben and Sophie’s relationship developing peaceful in the background of my philoise fic for this universe (which I’m currently stuck on), with a planned scene where after Eloise gets into an argument with Phillip after she sees his scars she shows up at Ben’s apartment ranting about it to him (while Ben and Sophie were in the middle of a date) and Sophie ends up hearing everything she says, much to Eloise's embarrassment, but she advises Eloise how to fix everything with him.
But I can give you the first part of that fic, which starts with how Eloise and Phillip met.
***
Someone was sitting at her table.
Her table.
Eloise blinked. She couldn’t believe it.
Almost five years of going to Wollstone-cafe, ever since she’d started at university, when her discovery of the small coffee shop led to it becoming an integral part of her daily routine, this had never happened. In the years she’d been going there, no one had ever sat at her table, the big one by the window. And she would know, she used to come here religiously, seven days a week, until her mother had forced her to limit her caffeine intake and she’d had to reduce it down to four days instead of the whole week.
Every time she came in, like clockwork, she got her usual order, iced caramel latte with three extra shots of espresso and a blueberry muffin. She’d tried to be a black coffee girl like her older brother Anthony, thinking it impressive to be able to down hot, dark, bitter liquid every morning, but frankly the bitter taste was too much for her to stomach. Frankly, if she could just inject the caffeinated beverages directly into her veins that would be far easier for her. And would make studying and researching so much easier.
But back to the point. After she would put her order in, she would always always take a seat at her table, which was off to the side in the cafe and right by the big windows. Perfectly located in the shop, it always got just enough sunlight to be bright but not blinding. It was the best place to work on her research.
And someone was currently sitting there.
And, of course, it was a man.
The gall. The absolute gall of it all.
Eloise took a deep breath and counted to ten in her head, as her mother had repeatedly reminded her to do whenever she got upset, while she headed towards the counter. It was fine. This was all fine. Maybe he was about to leave. It was almost ten AM and the man had only his laptop and a notebook on the table, next to an empty cup. He could be just about to leave, and she’d have at least five, maybe even ten, minutes to put her order in and wait for them to make it. That was just enough time for him to leave her seat.
And never come back!
“Morning, Eloise,” Claire, the barista, smiled cheerfully at her. “Your usual?”
“Yes,” Eloise nodded, trying to remain calm and not let her anger leak out into her voice. Her eyes were stuck glaring daggers into the back of the man’s head as she watched him, waiting patiently for him to get up as she paid for her drink.
However, once Claire handed over change, and then prepared both her coffee and slid it across the counter with a small plate that had her muffin sitting on it, Sasquatch (the name Eloise had decided to give him), was still sitting at her table, peacefully typing away.
And the coffee shop was pretty crowded right now, leaving Eloise with the option of either sitting across from Sasquatch (which she refused–refused!–to do) or taking one of the high tops that looked out onto the sidewalk in front of the shop. Sasquatch had taken not only her table, but also her preferred chair at said table, and she needed that table not just for the view, but for the space it had. All her books, laptop, and notebook fit perfectly on it.
And he was sitting at it!
Another count to ten in her head and Eloise came to the decision to take the high top for today. Anyway, she couldn’t spend the day here since she’d promised to have lunch with her mum before her afternoon classes, so she could just deal with the bar stool table for now. This was probably just a one off.
She’d get her table tomorrow.
He was sitting there the next day.
So, Eloise was forced to sit on the plush sofa by the counter.
And the next day, after her morning classes, she had to sit back at the bar chairs again because he was once again sitting at her table.
The day after that it was the uncomfortable plush cushion once again, only at the front of the cafe this time, which only has a tiny coffee table for her to use and made her have to type with her laptop on her lap instead of on the table in front of her. All while Sasquatch got to sit at her table, with the space he never used. He just had his laptop and a small notebook, along with an already drunk coffee every time she saw him. And he always stayed as long as she did, leaving at two PM every day, when she had to get back to campus for her evening class.
By the end of the week, when she found herself sitting by the bathroom, Eloise was fuming over the matter.
After three weeks of changing her schedule, shifting the days of the week she came and even coming earlier then normal before he classes, Sasquatch was still sitting at her fucking table.
For a few seconds, she stood outside the cafe, frozen in place. Eloise had caught him through the window as she was walking past towards the door, stopping in her tracks as she realized that once again her table had been taken before she arrived.
And it was 5:45am. Right before Wollsten-cafe opened at six. The sign hadn’t even been changed from ‘closed’ to ‘open’ and he was sitting at the table. Her table.
“Son of a-” she began. She couldn’t believe it.
That was it. She was putting her foot down.
While Eloise was left waiting roughly ten minutes outside the cafe, with the brisk, cold morning air making her shiver, before the barista Claire noticed her and unlocked the door early, she spent those ten minutes figuring out how she could storm the establishment known as Wollsten-cafe. Claire was surprised to see her there so early in the morning, but more than willing to let her in since she was one of their regulars, and asked if she wanted her usual.
“Yes,” Eloise replied, through gritted teeth and a forced smile. “I’ll be at the counter in just a sec.”
“I’ll get started on it,” Claire replied cheerfully, before heading back to the counter.
Meanwhile, Eloise bee-lined straight for Sasquatch.
“You,” she hissed, as she stopped right on the other side of the table, slapping her hands down on the top and glaring down at him.
Sasquatch barely even flinched. Slowly, he glanced up from his laptop, barely moving his head to look up at her over the dark rimmed spectacles resting on the bridge of his sharp nose. Eloise was surprised to realize his eyes weren’t brown like she’d initially thought but actually a very nice blue color, like aquamarines or a clear blue ocean seen in advertisements for island resorts.
Kind too. His eyes looked kind.
“Can I help you?” he asked slowly.
“You’re sitting at my table,” she told him, snappishly, not allowing herself to be distracted by his pretty eyes.
Dark bushy brows popped up, before Eloise watched as Sasquatch glanced around the table, then the cafe. Even shifting the top panel of his laptop down to look over it.
“I don’t see a name anywhere,” he replied.
“This isn’t a joke,” she told him.
“I wasn’t joking,” he returned, a small smile ghosting over his lips.
“For three weeks,” Eloise held up her fingers to show him. “Three weeks, I’ve been coming here and you’ve been sitting at my table-”
“Again, I do not see your name anywhere,” he repeated calmly.
Eloise let an exasperated sigh out. “Would you let me speak?
Sasquatch smirked, motioning towards her. “Go ahead.”
At that very moment, a fuse in Eloise’s head blew. She blinked, finding herself momentarily speechless.
“Well, I was here first,” she told him.
“Really?”
“Yes.”
“How do you know that?”
“Know what?”
“That you found this place first.”
“Because I’ve been coming here since I started university.”
“As have I.”
She paused and then frowned. “I would have noticed you," she retorted.
“I highly doubt that, given I never noticed you,” he returned. “And since I’ve been coming here longer-”
“How do you know that?” she snapped.
“Because you look like it,” he replied swiftly. “When did you graduate?”
“Last year,” she grounded out slowly after a short pause.
Sasquatch smiled. “Well, mine was four years ago. So, I was right. I did come here before you.”
The fuse that had burst in her head seemed to have become a full on aneurysm now because Eloise could no longer think. Something that had never happened to her before. She was one of eight siblings and since learning how to speak had always been able to win an argument against any of them, and here she was. At a loss for words. For what felt like the first time in her life.
“You…you…” she stumbled, trying to figure out how to come back from this. “How dare–”
As she started to retort, the phone he had resting on the table in front of him began vibrating, and Sasquatch held a finger up to her. Silencing her. Only pissing her off further.
The gall. The absolute gall of this man.
“Sorry, I have to take this,” he told her, leaning back in his chair as he pressed accept on the phone and brought it to his ear. “Hello? Phillip speaking.”
Phillip. What a pretentious, stupid, annoying name.
“I’m sorry, what? What do you mean you she's not there?" Phillip asked into the phone, in stunned surprise, before frowning. "What do you mean she's not answering her phone? She's–Jen I have no idea where she could be. It's her day. And she told me she could take them. I...I just...just let me make a few calls. I'll try to figure this out...I know. I know. I'm sorry about all this Jen, I'll be there as soon as I can. Can you just take them back to my apartment and I'll meet you there?"

Georgiana Sophia Crane
Nicknames: Georgie, Gee, Little mouse
Profession: Midwife
Hobbies: Boxing, Singing and piano, Chess, Star Wars, Sci-fi movies.
Georgia is the quietest of the Cranes and prefers the indoors compared to her siblings. Phillip calls her little mouse because she was so quiet and calm as a baby
She spent a lot of time with her Aunt Sophie learning how to play Chess after watching her beat her mother and it didn’t take long before she picked it ip and was very good. She beat Eloise when she was 12 and by the time she was 15, she beat her Aunt Sophie, and remains the only person to have ever beaten her at chess.
Georgie was obsessed with Babies and watching her Aunt Lucy popping out 9 kids she loved helping out with them and it was only natural that she wanted to be involved with babies and kids as she grew up and it had been a toss up between paediatric nurse and midwife but a tour of the hospital that her Great Aunt Georgiana worked helped her make her decision.
She fell in love with boxing in Uni when she used it as a stress relief and quite enjoyed the beauty of the sport and enjoyed it, and then she found out her father used to box and it gave her a sense of being part of the family.
She loved all the old Star Wars films and nerdy films like Lord of the Rings and Back to the Future and loved watching them with her older cousins and Uncles. When she saw her Uncle Ben’s and Uncle Greg’s Star Wars collections she was in heaven
She’s the only musically inclined Crabe and has a rather beautiful singing voice and used to sing her younger cousins to sleep when they were all together.

Oooh.. new fact(s) about Bridgerton next gen families (any, but no pressure if your busy)
— Anthony and Kate have ten grandchildren and one adopted grandson, as Edmund adopted his wife’s illegitimate son, Teddy. Anthony and Kate proudly say they have eleven grandchildren. Although, it did take them a bit to reconcile the fact that Edmund, serious, sensible Edmund who had never done a publicly scandalous thing, was marrying a woman who had an illegitimate son, but once they did, they publicly acknowledged that Teddy is their grandson.
— Benedict and Sophie have 15 or 16 grandchildren. I’m not sure which one yet, as I haven’t decided if Alexander has twins or triplets.
— Colin and Penelope have ten grandchildren.
— Daphne and Simon have 12 grandchildren. Five are from their daughters, while seven are from their sons.
— Eloise and Phillip have 13 grandchildren. However, this number does include any children that Amanda has.
— Francesca and Michael have three grandchildren.
— Gregory and Lucy have 28 grandchildren. This is mostly due to the fact that they had nine children.
— Hyacinth and Gareth have three grandchildren.
