Again, after years, we are still talking about the non-existing, decorative and hardy usable "thing" on womens clothing...the POCKET!

The Assemble Apparel range has been designed to accommodate pockets, PLUS, Assemble pockets are not just some nice afterthought that barely have enough room for spare change, but functional constructions, capable of holding phones and keys.

Pockets are critical in making the wearer feel comfortable in a garment, increasing it’s long term appeal and use, and help foster the sorts of bonds with the wearer that lead to a longevity for the garment.

Pockets do not have to be ugly and ruin a silhouette or state a fear that a woman with pockets “could carry something secret, something private, or something deadly” (a very old fashioned idea from the early 20th century) is no excuse for ignoring them!

Ok fashion industry this is just going to far. I bought a nice new pair of pinstripes and thought wow these pants would be perfect if only the had pockets. Later on while washing them I noticed they had pocket liners and I'm like ok? So this morning when I wear them I did a little Sherlock Holmesing and found that my pants DO have pockets! The Return of the Pocket

Dear Reader, Autumn has arrived and I couldn't be more excited. I first recognized that Fall in Boston was here earlier this week when I needed a jacket on my way out to meet Tim for cheap burgers and beer. Ah, autumn! Number one best thing about cooler weather is wearing jackets! Now, that might not seem like a highlight to you - however with jackets comes pockets and with pockets comes freedom! Freedom for all women. Now, I can keep my small essentials with me and leave behind that purse, or bag, or clutch or pocketbook. Who came up with that word anyways? It's not a pocket and it's not a book.

Also, I don't have to hand over my essentials to my boyfriend for safe keeping on spontaneous outings (or any outing). He won't have to cram two iPhones into his red Nantucket pants again until Spring! #pocketlove You see, you may not know that women's clothes come with a high percentage of fake pockets. That's right, our jeans and cute blouses only look like they pockets. They are actually sewn shut. It's ridiculous. Women have wallets and iPhones too. #pocketsforwomen Here's to Fall and pockets!

“Hardest make” is today’s #marchmeetthemaker prompt, and let me tell you: I SUCK at screenprinting. We’re talking try-everything-three-times, get-paint-all-over-myself-and-my-house, “let’s-pretend-that-shirt-just-never-existed” suck. SUUUUUCCCCKKKKKKK. But! I’m so in love with my hand-printed scarf labels (thanks again to @enrichedmacaronis for getting me started!), so I’m just gonna keep on keepin’ on with them.
