thinking about how Florian/Juliana are just as trapped by the narrative as Kieran is.

in the battle against the Paradise Protection Protocol, you have to use Tera Blast. you can’t use any items. even if you try to, it’ll make you.

you can’t tell Kieran the truth. there’s no option to.

you can’t refuse to give the professor the book. they’ll insist on it.

you have to catch the legendaries of the DLC. you can’t refuse to.

you can’t lose a story battle. the story will only ever move forward if you win. it might say you scurried back to a pokémon center, but characters don’t acknowledge that you have.

isn’t it strange how Kieran went to the Dreaded Den for years and never once encountered Ogerpon?

it’s because you’re the center of this world.

the protagonist is the person the story is about.

but they are as trapped in their role as everyone else.

you are the monarch of this world and the crown only fits you.

and it can’t be taken off.

This is my entry for @kitakami-kid’s art contest, ApplinsToApplins (it’s at least got to have any form of Applin on it, even whiteboard drawn ones, right?).

Since it’s a popular theory/headcanon that Kieran drew that Porygon in the club room whiteboard, who is there to say that he hasn’t drawn any others in the past? I like to headcanon that he’s actually an artsy kid deep under, drawing his favorite Pokemon and whatnot, but just didn’t have the environment for him to actually pursue much of art. It’s mostly just a nice past time of him.

My favorite evolution of Applin is probably either Appletun or Hydrapple, and I’ll probably evolve it into either one of those (but my Nintendo Online expired recently so idk)

Real talk, what are the classifications of the things Terapagos can actually do? Because I don’t really think that was ever touched on. Because yeah, it’s the origin of the Terastalization phenomona, but what about all the other stuff?
