Das heißt, dass es dort im Zentrum des Centers eine mit dunkelgebeiztem und leicht gesplittertem Holz verkleidete Jägerstube gab, in der manJägerschnitzel und überhaupt Paniertes mit Sauce essen konnte.

Aber für alle Fälle des winterlichen Fernwehs gab es das Collini. Wirsing ist mein Pommes

Ein weiser Mensch hat einmal gesagt: "Gemüse ist mein Pommes". Richtig, Gemüse ist so vielseitig – als Beilage, Hauptmahlzeit oder sogar als Snack für zwischendurch. Denk nur mal an Salate, und sogar die heißgeliebten Pommes stammen schließlich von der Kartoffel, einem Gemüse. Heute möchte ich den Wirsing in den kulinarischen Himmel heben. „Oh, der ist ja schrumpelig. Kohl ist schöner.“ Ja, vielleicht, aber das ist Geschmackssache. Aber genau das ist es: Geschmackssache. In meiner Kindheit gab es bei meinen Eltern oft Wirsing an Krautshäubchen. Ein regionales Gericht, bei dem eine Hackmasse mit Kohl in einer Puddingform geschichtet und durchgegart wird. Dazu gab es meist Salzkartoffeln und eine Soße – je nach Familie eine weiße Soße oder Senfsoße. Schon das habe ich immer geliebt, auch wenn es viel Arbeit gemacht hat. Es war sogar eines der ersten Rezepte, die ich gelernt habe, selbst zuzubereiten. Nicht Rührei, nicht Spiegelei, keine Suppe. Krautshäubchen. Wirsing ist gesund. Er enthält fast so viel Vitamin C wie eine Zitrone und dazu noch Vitamin B6, was die Nerven und Abwehrkräfte stärkt. Das Kalium im Wirsing senkt den Blutdruck und damit das Risiko von Schlaganfällen, Herzinsuffizienz und Nierenerkrankungen. Durch die Schwefelverbindungen in diesem Kohlgewächs hilft es auch gegen Krebszellen. Die Folsäure unterstützt die Blutbildung. Und dazu liefert das grüne Gemüse zahlreiche Ballast- und Bitterstoffe, die die Regulation von Cholesterin und Blutzucker unterstützen. Und Wirsing hilft auch beim Abnehmen. Bei mir gibt es Wirsing in der Suppe, als leckere Wirsingpfanne mit Möhren, Zwiebeln und Brat- oder Kochwurst in einem Senf-Sahnesud, klassisch als Krautshäubchen. Oder eben seit heute als Frikadelle. Eigentlich sollte es Krautshäubchen geben. Aber ich habe das alte Rezept meiner Oma schon lange verändert. Statt Schweine- und Rinderhack nehme ich Geflügelhack. Den Geschmack gleiche ich mit Gewürzen und Kräutern aus. So wird das Ganze noch leichter und bekömmlicher. Mir ging es heute nicht so gut, deshalb hatte ich keine Lust auf lange Verarbeitungszeiten in der Küche. Also schnitt ich den Wirsing grob auf, holte die Juliette (einen Gemüsehobel mit einer Drehscheibe) heraus und schrotete den Wirsing erstmal grob durch. Dann kam die Küchenmaschine ins Spiel. Großer Knethaken. Das frisch durchgelassene Hack rein, Pfeffer, Salz, Kräuter und Gewürze dazu. Und den Rührer eingeschaltet. Eier hinzufügen, Wirsing, Zwiebeln und Pankomehl. Das Ganze dann so durchrühren lassen, dass eine gute Masse entsteht. Dann ab in den Luftbackofen, die Hackbällchen auf die Roste legen und das Ganze etwa 15 Minuten bei 180 Grad anrösten lassen. In der Zwischenzeit schon mal Salzkartoffeln kochen, Senfsoße ansetzen und dann die Frikadellen nochmal von rechts und links je 2–3 Minuten fertig braten lassen. Fertig ist ein leckeres Essen. Ich mochte Krautshäubchen schon immer, fast noch lieber mochte ich sie am zweiten Tag, wenn meine Mutter die Reststücke samt den Restkartoffeln von rechts und links gut angebraten hatte. For example, if my page count is 133 and the closest four is 136, if my signatures are six sheets each, then I can have 144 pages with 6 signatures. I can remove a sheet from two of my signatures would to be five sheets vs six.

Write out the signature pages: 1 - 24 (six sheets) 25 - 44 (five sheets) 45 - 68 (six sheets) 69 - 92 (six sheets) 93 - 112 (five sheets) 113 - 136 (six sheets)

Step 2: Setup printing in Adobe Reader

In the print dialog, select Booklet printing. It is important to only print the signatures as they were planned, otherwise Adobe will print the entire project as one giant booklet. Après la chasse aux œufs de la semaine dernière nous nous sommes organisés en catimini une petite chasse aux crédits. Ce premier mai fut donc l'occasion pour moi de déflorer un paysage totalement vierge de mon CC, les bouches du Rhône et le sud avec un grand S.

Direction Martigues donc, a bord de la Minijul-Mobile (et avec ce dernier accessoirement) pour récupérer notre Gaga, local et guide de cet errance provençal. Il aura à cœur de nous faire découvrir les joyaux de la région. Les calanques ? La bonne mère ? Le mont ventoux ? Les baux de Provence ? Non. Ok Corral et Magic Park Land. Ça recommence ces conneries.

Nous voici donc partis pour une journée dédiée au western, cowboys et autres indiens.

Ok Corral est un parc plutôt réussi et mignon dans l'ensemble même si on se bouscule pas pour refaire chacune de ses "grosses" attractions. La théma western est poussée et respectée dans l'ensemble du parc. Même si au fond le western c'est tout sauf original, il est l'exemple même du petit parc régional qui grossit d'année en année et qui semble avoir une base de clients fidèles.

On y retrouve quasiment tout le catalogue Zierer avec en tête de gondole la montagne russe Pionneer ouverte l'an dernier. J'y ai beaucoup aimé la particularité du train, la possibilité d'avoir deux expériences différentes sur un même chassis (Motocoaster cheval ou classique assis). Un gadget qui devrait donner de chouettes idées aux parcs moyens du calibre de OKC. Innovation rajoutant du cachet sur un layout malgré tout assez faible, court et déjà vu, dommage. Le fait d'avoir mis Pionneer en hauteur sur une colline surplombant le parc est aussi une bonne idée presque "Shambalesque" (question skyline toute proportion gardée).

Ensuite on retrouve Gold Rush, un semi junior boomerang Gerstlauer en circuit fermé (en forme de bite). Toujours rigolo et efficace et assez soigné dans son intégration même si on s'y verrait mal enchaîner les tours, malgré tout ca reste du junior avec les limites qu'on leur connaît.

Le troisième crédit sera un large tivoli Zierer, un classique chez les classiques. Toujours aussi peu agréable et un peu vieillot mais c'est le pain quotidien de nombreux parcs français. On respecte les aînés malgré tout en ridant poliment mais sûrement.

Une merguez-frite plus tard nous voici partis pour notre deuxième friandise de la journée, un endroit magique bénis du ciel, Magic Park Land. Catastrophe intégrale, rien ne va. An Anon One Shot

From author: I was inspired by that anon's one shot, so I thought it would be interesting to write a one-shot about other people's encounters with Raistafina. Don't feel like you need to post this (since it is your blog, and I don't want to take oxygen away from ST and your one shots) but I'm going to send it in pieces as well.

Hey Anon thank you for sending this through! I wish there was an easier way for you guys to send your stories through other than in little pieces, but at the same time I know some of you wish to remain anonymous, so :) Also I love getting and having the privilege of sharing these, so please keep them coming!

The first thought in Giulia Steingruber’s head when she awoke was one of nostalgia. Nostalgia for her hometown of Gossau and its wholesome charm. Nostalgia for her mother’s rosti. Nostalgia for the American swimmer she remembered occupying her bed the night before. Yet as she dressed for a warm-up run around the Athlete’s Village, these thoughts were banished and replaced with a razor-sharp concentration for the vault final in the afternoon.

Nikes on and earbuds plugged in, she started jogging around the Village and began her favorite pre-competition ritual. For as long as Giulia could remember, running had been her best de-stressing tool, and she made a point to run in each city she competed in. In Antwerp, the smell of the freshly fried pommes frites had provided a powerful motivator for after floor finals.

She got lost in Montpellier’s medieval street layout, an incident that worried her coaches to no end but made her feel at home, and after winning the all-around the French city became one of her favorite places in the world. Today, however, the Rio heat was stifling even the idea of a relaxing jog. Giulia eventually found herself sprawled on the grass.

Pulling herself up (which was more of a struggled that she had expected), she felt as if a weight had been lifted off her chest. Yet as she headed back towards her room, Giulia noticed two figures locked in an embrace next to the wall of one of the apartment towers. At first paying it no mind and chalking it up to Olympic shenanigans, the familiar brown hair of the taller girl caught her eye. Aliya Mustafina, she realized. But who was with her?

Her curiosity piqued, she stopped a safe distance away and had to stop herself from loudly gasping once she recognized the familiar face of Aly Raisman.A million different thoughts ran through Giulia’s head. I knew it. There had to be some truth to all those rumors. Larisa wasn’t lying when she said she saw them kissing in London. Do I tell somebody? No, this getting out would never end well. I’ve never been attracted to girls but damn, they couldn’t have done better than each other.

Juicy tidbit witnessed, Giulia headed back to her room, but with the satisfaction of being witness the biggest secret in artistic gymnastics.

Superfried Takes a Fresh Approach to a Medical Branding System

UK designer Mark Richardson is known for his sure touch with typography, combining the practical and highly experimental with enviable ease. His studio Superfried’s latest brainchild is a brand system for a not for profit, web-based educational resource. The resource, Trainees with an Interest in PeriOperative Medicine (TRIPOM), is meant for students specializing in medical care of patients from the time of contemplation of surgery through the operative period to full recovery. Doctors Sam Bampoe and John Whittle, the clients, asked for a new brand identity as well as a complex web based platform that was fun and vibrant, to connect with their target demographic.

Richardson’s intelligent brand solution took a logical, exhaustively detailed approach to a highly complex project and made it simple to use, as well as aesthetically pleasing and not too “medical-y” looking. Color in particular plays a huge role, and there is a great deal of wit throughout, seen in touches such as a logo that riffs on the acronym TRIPOM by using 3 apples (in French, tres pommes) arranged to resemble a chemical symbol or molecule. On the website, the logo playfully animates with each apple spinning around and then locking back into place.

The designer used bespoke uppercase lettering for the logotype, adding dots as a reference to its acronym nature. For the website, Richardson employed a versatile three column grid system (again referring to the organization’s three apples) and created six quick access icons linking directly to the key site content to maximize usability and speed. To deliver the site’s eclectic wealth of information—a mix of searchable content including PDF tutorials and research, resource links, podcasts, videos and details of fellowships and courses—he kept layouts clean and simple. He also minimized imagery, choosing to rely mainly on a sequential use of color which steered the design away from the typical sterile feel of information-heavy medical content.

Richardson opted for a pastel palette so that colors felt soothing rather than overbearing, and chose not to assign a separate color per information category since the number of categories might change in the future. He says, “The ambition of Perioperative Medicine is for all patients to experience the same consistent care and smooth transition from pre-op through to recovery. What if this could be reflected in the user experience? A system was developed so that a user’s path through the site always followed the same sequence of page colors regardless of the route taken. The palette was based on a perpetual spectral loop – blue – green – yellow – orange – pink – purple and then back to blue, ensuring color transitions were less abrupt.”

The rest of the branding includes Word and Keynote templates to help staffers keep everyday content consistently formatted, an animated logo for use in videos, and collateral such as printed event flyers, posters, and lanyards. With TRIPOM, Richardson created a delivery system for content that can often come across as daunting or intimidating without resorting to any of the expected design tropes for the medical industry.
