omitb s2e8 spoilers ahead

okay again the episode only gave us a little information, albeit more than last episode, in regards to the actual murders.

i was right about kreps being glitter guy!! win for the audience! still i’m super confused abt the rest of it, AND i thought someone would die during the blackout, so, not a total win lmao.

i don’t think kreps is the actual killer, he’s just the glitter guy. like i’ve said before, glitter guy is the texter person, but the texter person isn’t necessarily the killer. they just knew to tell our podcasters to leave. who else would know that? the police who got the call to come and busted into mabel’s appt. plus, over text, glitter guy said he was a cop, which they took to mean detective williams - but he never actually claimed to be williams. perhaps he wasn’t trying to trick them at all. but if so, what is his motive? and why in the world would he care whether they got out of the arconia?

we heard sirens from the rooftop on the night bunny died BEFORE mabel actually found her. and i don’t think mabel called the police, she was still in shock when they came in. unless bunny managed to call them herself (you’d think they’d have found evidence of that, her phone in her hand or something) then i would kinda like to know how the police even knew where to go.

the sneeze!! uh oh!! i was rooting for howard to have someone… but now he may well be bunny’s killer, or at least he freaked lucy out in the walls. why was he there? what does he know? i think if he’s not bunny’s killer (possibly too early to reveal that anyway so that might be a mislead), he may have been involved in swapping the original painting over for the fake one.

about the painting: we still don’t know what where the real one is. i have a feeling that the painting and the reason charles’ dad was arrested and all that will be the plot of the next episode, unless it’s directly tied to bunny’s death, because that really needs to be explored.

what does the sixth street killer detail have to do with anything?? confused. maybe kreps’ "past" that was lightly touched on was that he couldn’t solve that case. maybe the sixth street killer is the same guy who killed bunny. maybe marv is just weird and we should disregard it… (notice i saved this point for sixth bc it’s the sixth street killer lol)

no one has yet elaborated on what poppy said about knowing where cinda cannings "bodies are buried". what did cinda do? it could be relevant to the murders (killing to make a murder for a new season of her show), it could be relevant to the painting (maybe she’s thinking of making a heist podcast and branching out from murder podcasts) or it could be totally unrelated to all that. i don’t care which, i’d just very much like to know!

my guesses in summary: kreps isn’t the killer despite being glitter guy, and howard’s potential bf might not have killed bunny but instead was involved in swapping the Savage painting with its fake (a heist!).

so. there is a s3 confirmed and a lil teaser for it in the finale, so glad that’s there like last time.

i feel like the fact that paul rudd’s character died will cause disagreement between charles and oliver, especially bc the creator said s3 will focus on oliver, and that charles is shown to dislike him while oliver thinks he’s perfect for the role.

anyways, back to the main plot. all those fake outs were absolutely wild and i loved each and every one of them. i sort of suspected it bc there is no way cinda could have known poppy was becky and poppy telling the truth. it just didn’t make sense, so when it was revealed cinda didn’t know, it made me suspect poppy a lot more. i also like how the detective that was helping came into play and gave them the final piece of evidence. it was also cool how it tied into the first season as poppy seemingly didn’t like that she never got credit, and that was her trigger in the end.

Theory: for some reason "Poppy"/Becky ran away - maybe escaping from a bad family or relationship? Cinda found out while she was investigating for the podcast, and promised not to sell her out, even giving her a new job and a new life in the city... and then proceeded to hold it over her head forever

SPOILERS!

And we finally know who killed Bunny. I did not expect that actually. Totally thought that Cara’s character did it. ABSOLUTELY LOVED the slow motion moments. Was a little sus that Charles had “died” then made so much sense when the ad was over. But Poppy, (*clears throat*) I mean Becky, being the killer?? And with Kreps? So then Poppy was there for her own investigation in Oklahoma with Cinda when she met Kreps? And not a single person recognized her for it??? She did, in fact, have an ordinary life, but I respect Cinda for pinning Becky’s “death” on the sleazy mayor. Definitely thought that the killer was a man just because of the build. Maybe it was all those clothes but Poppy looked kinda buff with allat. 

I did just need one clarification. The day Bunny died, she met with someone. Mabel explained it was Cara’s character (I cannot, for the life of me, remember her name) because she wanted to buy Bunny’s painting. But then we saw in the flashback, after Mabel got the phone call from our favorite cop, that Bunny had said “14 Sandwich” referring to the deli shop sandwich that Poppy loves. Some freak sandwich combo that had the character’s questioning whether or not it was real. So was it actually Poppy asking about the painting because she was going to do her own podcast or was it Cara’s character?

Then they do the time jump where we see the lovely Paul Rudd play Ben, who I’m assuming is a very famous actor in that world. He also apparently has it out for Charles and vice versa. A woman seems to have come between them? Charles showing his protective side and I can really only name two women he would be that protective of. Well, three counting his new girlfriend. So who was Ben getting too close to? Lucy or Mabel? Or maybe his new girlfriend? Also, I feel like Paul Rudd just shows up wherever he wants to now and it’s always a lovely surprise. 

Then he just died. By poison? His death was delayed so it happened before or even when he was in his dressing room. Then there was also that blood spilling from his mouth. Also, can we just take note of how beautiful Selena looked in that dress???
