the one time i sink the tips of my claws into the scratch which bubbles and boils is the last i'll ever decide for myself how much my wounds will sting

what composes the skeletal structure of its anatomy has been contorted, twisted from sanitary and unthreatening to dirtied and incapable of ever posing a threat

just to make sure.
