So in the German WW2 movie Before the Fall, there is a character named Christoph Schneider.

Not a question! BUT RICHARD IN HIS 50 IS SOMETHING! Right?
Hi 😊
I must say, Richard has always been quite fascinating regarding his looks (especially regarding his versatility style-wise) and brought in every decade of Rammstein history (already three this year!) something different to the table so to speak.
A tiny summary from my little delusional perspective:
1. 1994 - 2004: Starting as very small and cute boyfriend material, Richard dipped his toes into the 'silver god'-water for just a moment and ultimately did a 180, arriving at the iconic 2000s spiky style 🖤
2. 2004 - 2014: The evolution into a full blown rock star vampire began (much to my neverending enthusiasm) while being as muscly as ever, a thankfully short emo hair era ensued. However, he quickly found his way to a different style and tried out the mohawk 😌
3. 2014 - 2024: Richard stayed true to his style (red/black aesthetic, arm sleeves, vest....) yet kind of matured further - he seemingly developed his love for coats even further, got a bit more chunky and massive in his physique, yet again found his way back into the slightly vampire lord-y aesthetic. Overall, and this is just my opinion, now he looks more alluring than ever. Maybe due to the mixture of masculine energy and slightly feminine curves?
This small overview is by far not complete, but I find it remarkable how versatile Richard is and was in his style and appearance. And Richard in his 50s is really something, my absolute favorite phase so far! 🤍

I'd love to travel back in time to Mutter era and without any context or warning show the guys video of Richard and Paul kissing. Especially the one where Paul doesn't stop, and Richard goes for a second one and acts all shocked like whoa and then they both laugh and hug.
Yes. I'd show them that, and then I'd sit back and watch the biggest drama and internal crisis unfold.
Rammstein being in that mood 2004, Olli missing in action completely
A sudden cold gush of wind sweeps in
"The Ghost of Rammstein Future has something to show you.."
(gif by @danceinthebloom )
5 seconds later
band management quickly hands out some gold records to hold, to distract everyone...Ghost of Rammstein Future is soon forgotten...
...or is it...
😊

Richard being so proud :)
Richard and Schneider interview Radio Eins - Radio Affair 2004
Translation under the cut.
Q: “Rammstein and ‚Los‘. Great riff! Did you uhm …”
R: “I have to say it’s one of my favorite songs on the album. I am very proud of it because our drummer Schneider played the solo guitar.”
Q: “Really?“
S: “You didn’t need to mention that.“
Q: “No, really?”
R: “Yes.”
Q: „That’s great.“
R: „Cool, isn’t it. It’s a very old song that we tried recording at the time we did ‘Mutter’. And the producer, Jakob Hellner, liked it so much at the time and said "We absolutely have to try that again". So we did try again and it was the usual Rammstein sound everybody knows. And then we just went to the studio and said "Ok, let's just play this riff on acoustic guitar instead of the usual electric guitar.”
Q: “And why didn’t you want to play it?”
R: “What? The acoustif guitar? I did, but he (Schneider) played the solo guitar.”
Q: “Even the solo guitar, Christoph.”
S: “We all worked differently on the song and the original idea was that the song only started acoustically and then turned, so to speak, into the usual Rammstein sound. And at some point we left it out and said ‘Let us stay acoustic. Let's try something new’. And we virtually used the old Rammstein Groove, let's say this typical marching groove, and this created a kind of country music.”
