Meet the lass who faced a Kraken and lived to tell the tale. Captain Nerida of the Blinding Beacon, Titankiller, and seeker of the Star Jewel.

My dm pc/lackey I created for simple Rapscallion games! She's the daughter of a nefarious pirate who is an ex-navy officer. The ship she sails is a stolen Naval vessel that's been remodeled into a pirate ship.

The first one-shot was simply to replace her lost parrot, thanks to her two first mates. What better companion to have than one you can talk to? So the crew sails out to steal a Leviathan egg or two. Somehow..it worked!

Survived a fucking ship explosion and swam for MULTIPLE DAYS to shore

Actively bullied the police?? Like theres multiple stories of him just bullying policemen and making fun of them

He had a whole diary in which he wrote about ants. Just ants. He said they were "attacking his house" and he explained his tactics to keep them away like he was fighting a war.

the murlocs rapscallion tour - usa + canada’22, 12x18”, 2022

this is another mock poster i made also in the weeks leading up to the tour. i originally printed it in black and white only because i didn’t have time to carve and print the color layer before i left for to follow the murlocs on their first four headlining shows with my friend. i actually printed them the night before and was rolling them up after letting them dry overnight and was putting them in a poster tube as i was getting location updates from my friend lol

i printed five black and white copies for the band and gave it to them after the boston show, so that was really cool. then when i got home i carved out a block for the color layer and cut it up into a jigsaw that i inked in blue and green and put back together to print. i also glued backing board to all of the jigsaw pieces to give them some structural integrity. i have a video on instagram showing myself printing the black layer onto the jigsaw one if you’re interested in that

currently, the only people who own any copies of this poster are the band, my friend who i went on this trip with, and myself

Bamboozle-Man defies dueling etiquette.

(Bamboozle-Man is locked into an intense duel with a deadly swordsman in the midst of a raging storm atop a lofty gothic castle.)

Swordsman: I swear by my father’s grave, I shall run you through!

BM: There’s so many ways I can make fun of you already. No need to fan the flames. Also why bring your dad into this?

(The duelists continue to clash, serenaded by the striking thunder around them. Their rapiers send echoes of sharp clangs throughout the mountainside while the constant lightning cast their shadows down upon the valley below. An object of great importance flies by on the wind, grabbing the Manic Magician’s attention quickly.

Swordsman: How poetic our rivalry comes to a head here. At the very castle I saw you-

BM: Ope, hold that thought. Gotta run an errand.

Swordsman: Wha-You can’t just up and leave in the middle of a duel!

BM: Sure I can. You’re in charge until I get back, Rapscallion.

Swordsman: Who in the hell are you talking to!?

BM: The sword. Duh.

(Bamboozle-Man leaps away from the rooftop and flies after the item that caught his eye, leaving the Swordsman fighting a still dueling blade left behind by Bamboozle-Man.)

Swordsman: No! Come back! This is a great violation of duel etiquette! Have some class!

The thing I’ve discovered while GMing my first game is that you have the supreme, unquestionable ability to fill your campaign with whatever peak bullshit you’re currently on.

If I want to make an Ishmael expy named Jonah Bartleby and deliver lore about leviathans in the format of excerpts from a semi-comprehensible and dubiously accurate book he is compiling, no one can stop me!

If I want to make a quest giver who is a blatant Queequeg expy (who is of course married to Jonah and happily retired with him to a cottage on a tropical beach) NO ONE CAN STOP ME!

If I want to base every pirate on that island off of my favorite obscure history blorbos, who will stand in my way? Half the time, I don’t even need to change their names! If I want to play out out my Robert Culliford/Captain Kidd messy bisexual historical fanfic via my NPCs, they all gotta come along for the ride.

And the craziest thing of all is that my players actually like it!?!?!?!?

Granted I’ve given them plenty of autonomy when it comes to world building and creation of NPCs (they’ve come up with some of my favorites). The GM/player relationship is a two-way street.

But if I’d known that they’d just let me do this, I’d have started GMing a long time ago!!!
