this is a somewhat niche post ngl but here we go

also, disclaimer, for simplicity i'm counting mika melatika as a member of nijisanji's en branch even though she isn't technically actually a member of en.

i can't even be surprised when nijisanji members graduate lmao, i wonder how genuinely bad the management must be for so many of their members to graduate in such a short amount of time.

it's not completely fair to compare the two companies since vshojo doesn't release new members in "generations" and also has members who were indies or in another company before joining vshojo, not to mention nijisanji has many more members even just in the en branch alone, but i'm going to compare them anyway for the sake of it.

vshojo really isn't that much older than nijisanji, yet vshojo has 12 current members (three former members), and nijisanji has 31 members (5 former members counting mika, though two were to my understanding not graduations and rather terminations, which have their own surrounding controversy that i don't even understand tbh) in the en branch alone (32 if i count mika like i said i would). for nerds, that means 20% graduation rate for vshojo and 13% for nijisanji.

and it's just like, what the fuck has got to be going on over there for things to be going as shit as they are? members are dropping like flies. nina's graduation was announced june 26th, 2023. mysta's was july 23rd, 2023, and mika's was announced literally today, october 20th, 2023.

the funniest part of all of this is that mysta and nina have gone straight to vshojo where i'm sure they were eagerly accepted to compensate the loss of veibae, silvervale, and nyanners earlier this year.

all of this to say i have no clue what's happening but i find this all really funny tbh. if anyone actually knows what the fuck is going on and would like to tell me about it then have fun but for now i'm happy to sit back and watch everything go to shit.

just finished reading blood of olympus and these are my thoughts / feelings.

I honestly don't feel as sad this time, since like Nina he said he would still keep in contact with the friends he made here. And that’s one of the biggest things that drew me to NijiEn; that being the connections they've made in their time here. ... my partner told me I wasn't allowed to get on the computer tonight, as I have a stack of library books I hadn't even started.. jokes on him because that also means I don't sleep if it interests me enough.

In other news, I've finished 1 of the 4 books, and it only took me 3 and a half hours.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It takes place post covid, in a small Midwestern town. At least 3 characters are LGBTQ+, and it's slipped in there so casually that when the male love interest is being flirted with by a male customer, it was so nonchalant that when I read that part I verbally went "oh that's really nice".

Also the spicy scenes aren't pages and pages long, but cover what's happening in a way that provides a good start for the reader to picture what's happening.

On a scale of 1-5, I'd give this a solid 4. I plan on checking out the next book in the series, and once I've finished the series, I'll probably end up purchasing them for my own library.

The brothers heard the commotion in the attic, but it was Mammon who knew that Azrael went up there. The Avatar of Greed was already up in the attic when the other brothers met up on the ground floor.

The scene which Mammon comes to was MC lying unconscious behind Azrael with his twin in question standing with his weapons, which were crackling electricity. Belphegor, who he assumed was in the human world was also lying unconscious, electrocuted and sizzling.

“What in the hell happened?” Mammon sputters out a question.

Not only was Belphie here, his twin just beat the shit out of him. Mammon knew he must’ve had a reason, and Azrael did.

“You felt it too, didn’t you? MC was getting hurt.”

Mammon stays in stunned silence as he does recall feeling himself unable to breathe not too long ago. The feeling made him uncomfortable just thinking about it. A whirlwind inside Mammon's head was pulling his emotions all over the place. He felt confused, angry, worried and upset.

“Belphegor was the cause of that.” Azrael continues, nudging Belphie with his foot. Mammon could've guessed that, but the anger rises inside of him upon hearing that Belphie nearly killed MC. The next thing Azrael did was to check on MC, which Mammon also did. The two could tell that they were still alive, but their breathing was irregular. Mammon picks them up tenderly as if picking up a fragile object. His anger only continue to rise when the two hear footsteps The twins see Lucifer came up the stairs, clearly alarmed by the scene in front of him. Who wouldn't be? The human and the youngest of the brothers were both unconscious and one of them was sizzling. Both the twins of Greed also wants Lucifer to explain why the hell Belphie was even up here, among many other things. Mammon was the one to speak up, his arms curling around MC protectively as the electricity in the room became a lot more suffocating. "You have lots to explain, bro."
