Ever since Veldora had been released there was a slight uneasiness deep down inside of him. Like some part was missing if he were to put it in words. While you have never met Veldora and both of you are aware of that fact he feels a strong familiarity with you.

“Rimuru my buddy! I have a small favor to ask of you-!” Veldora bursts into Rimuru’s office as boisterous as ever, however, as confident and self assured Veldora was when it came to you he was a person lost in the middle of the mediterranean sea on a raft.

Rimuru turned to face the storm dragon with an raised as he answers the behemoth of a man, “What is it Veldora? You almost never come to me for help unless it’s super important or intense” Veldora tensed up for a moment before letting out a defeated sigh, throwing himself limply into Rimuru’s couch.

“I know that you’re the only person who actually really knows Y/N…I’ve wanted to ask him to take a walk with me for the longest but I have no clue how to…” The demon lord cackles at Veldora’s immense dread over asking you a simple question. “You ask him just like that Veldora— you don’t need to make it a huge deal im sure Y/N would love to walk with you!” Rimuru explains between laughs, however his explanation was just enough to push the dragon who leaped out the couch and ran out of Rimuru’s office to find you leaving the poor slime.

You were talking to Shuna and Rigurd about who knows what honestly. The conversation was pleasant though, well until the tornado called Veldora came running straight towards you, unable to stop himself in time runs into you practically tackling you to the ground.

“What the hell Veldora??” You yelled looking down at the dragon groaning in your chest. “Well…that wasn’t part of the plan…ow…” Veldora mumbled before quickly getting up and facing you with a determination enough the break the heavens. “Y/N! I would like it very much if you joined me on my walk today, if that’s alright with you of course..” Your sour expression quickly changed to excitement as you stood up facing Veldora with a smile and happily nodding your head in agreement.

The walk was moderately quiet for majority of the time, Veldora would occasionally tell a small story about a certain area he was familiar with but that was about all. Until you reached a beautiful lake, the sky was still moderately bright with a fur warm hues streaking across it. You marveled at the sight as Veldora lead you to a smooth section in the grass and plopped down resting his arms behind his back looking up at the sky. You followed suit and sat down next to his with your legs crossed (A/N: Criss cross apple sauce style)

After a good whole of silence Veldora clears his throat his face slightly flushed possibly with embarrassment as he turns to you. “Say…Y/N…I wonder if we ever knew each other in a past life, you just seem so familiar to me…and I feel comfortable with you, I’m sure this sounds really odd to you—“ Veldora rambles still flustered but also with a look of determination and purpose, he was clearly being sincere and you for sure could tell.

“I don’t think you’re too far off Veldora, I wouldn’t be surprised if we did used to know each other in our past life, but this isn’t our past life. I’m happy that I know you now!” Veldora’s eye brighten as he nods and scoots a little closer to you grabbing your hands in his.

“Forgive me for my boldness but i’ve fallen completely and utterly in love with you Y/N, I feel like a puppy always wanting to follow you around and gain your affection” Veldora blurts out, for how long you two have known each other this honestly shouldn’t have been a huge surprise but it was, to you at least~

And that’s it folks, it’s pretty short ikik and it probably sucks but this is sort of a test for me to see how well I can get used to tumblr’s format

“Rimuru-sama prefers my company to you!” Shion shouted over the table at her counterpart.

“Don’t be ridiculous Shion,” Shuna chuckled into her hand delicately. “Who would prefer a dried-up old lady to a cute, gentle woman like me?”

“I’ll show you dried-up!” The oni summoned her sword and prepared to swing it down, through the table and potentially Shuna.

“Yada yada! Hold on!” Rimuru shouted in a panic. Waving his arms and getting the girls attention to stop. “I don’t prefer anyone’s company over anyone. I like spending time with both of you. I just need to be alone for a bit to finish my work.” The whole fight starting when he asked them to leave and they misinterpreted as one of them leaving, and not the other. “Please. We’ll spend time together after, but I need to get this done.”

The girls apologize, to Rimuru and each other, before they leave as requested and he slumped into his chair.

“Is it safe to come out?” Rimuru perked up as he looked over toward an armoire where [Y/N] was sliding out from under. Shifting out of their slime state once the coast was clear and into their human form. “Phew! I thought I was going to be stuck under there forever. But I literally didn’t want to get dragged into their fight.”

Rimuru chuckled at [Y/N]’s joke and fiddled with his papers. “They mean well. But sometimes I can’t get anything done when they’re around.”

“Do you want me to leave too?” [Y/N] asked. Still taking a seat beside him. “You said you needed to be alone to finish. Am I a distraction?”

The other slime blushed at the question and focused on his papers even more. Yes, they were a distraction. But not in the way they perhaps thought. When they had first met, Rimuru was just happy to have someone like him around he could talk to. The others were nice, but they didn’t understand all the time. [Y/N] was an intelligent slime like him. So it was just easy to talk to them and have them get it. Eventually he found himself feeling more than just ‘friendly’ about them.

“N-No, no, you can stay.”

“Good!” [Y/N] chirped in a bright way that made him blush redder. He nearly told them how he felt right then, before they added, “because I really don’t want to go out there if they’re still fighting.”

-Tempest was celebrating the newest victory, where everyone had fought hard and now everyone was celebrating with a massive party.

-Shion was smiling brightly over at you, “You were amazing in battle today Y/N! When that assassin tried to attack Lord Rimuru you took care of him so easily! You looked like you were having fun!”

-You beamed brightly, looking excited, “It’s not often I get to go all out! But when I saw him going after Rimuru it was like my heart went boom and then my ears went tinkle-tankle!”

-Eyes were on you as you explained yourself before your face quickly turned bright red, realizing you had embarrassed yourself and quickly you were bowing low, apologizing while everyone was laughing loudly.

-Rimuru hopped over as you sat up, leaping into your arms in his slime form, smiling up at you, seeing your bright red face, puffed up cheeks, and tears at the corners of your eyes, “But you were really amazing out there today Y/N- even if your heart was going boom for me~”

-More laughter filled the room while you cried out, embarrassed, “Rimuru!!” which made him laugh in turn- you really were too stinking cute.

Carrying Baskets

Milium x Reader:

I hummed as I walked through my home city, Rimuru. I smiled and occasionally waved at the other monsters that acknowledged me. I readjusted my hands on the basket of picked fruits because they were losing grip.

'I need to ask for a new basket soon,' I thought staring for a brief moment at the loose straw seems, 'It is getting too worn out especially nowadays.'

"Oh (Y/N)!" I heard a bubbly and cheerful shout behind me.

My head rotated 90 degrees to discover the one calling me. I smiled a little with a short sigh recognizing the pink-haired, blue-eyed, demon lord herself. She was running with those huge aqua eyes and an all-too-sweet smile. I turned my head forward as she approached me and I resumed walking. She caught up to me not too soon after.

"Hello, Milium," I greeted her when she was walking beside me, "How are you today?"

From the corner of my eye, I watched her pout, "Rimuru wouldn't give me a treat for doing a great job!"

"Really?" I was thrown off guard at her statement, "Why wouldn't he give you a treat for your hard work?"

She huffed, clearly frustrated, "These humans were picking on one of my besties' subordinates and tried to hurt him so I hurt them back."

I could feel the sweat-drop manifest itself on my forehead. I should have known that it was her own doing that she didn't get a treat rather than the Great Rimuru being cruel.

"Well, it was--no, is a rule to not mess with humans. You should have scared them not hurt them. They can cause heaps of trouble later." I said sternly.

"You sound just like my bestie," Milium cried.

I stayed silent for a bit. I felt cold when she said that. Do I sound like her bestie? Can we not bring up that I am like him? I am not like anybody but me. Don't talk about this or that reminding you of the guy that I am in a rivalry with for your affection. Pushing that aside I need to raise her spirits.

"Here," I tossed her one of the fruits in the basket. 

I heard her fumble a bit to catch it but she did. She didn't even ask me why, she just devoured it. Thankfully, there were no seeds for her to accidentally swallow. 

"Hm! Delicious!" She raved.

My lips' corners rose up at the compliment. Then it was back to silence between us as we walked. My eyes were focused in front but the bricked road was replaced by the demon lord and forced me to halt. I stared at her happy face in question, quietly asking her why she had stopped me. 

"I'm going to help you carry the basket," she beamed ripping the basket from my hands and running off with it. I also watched with horror as some of the fruits flew out the basket!

"Wait, Milium! Please slow down!" I chased after her while also catching any falling fruits.

All she did was laugh and continue running. It must have amused the others too because her laughter wasn't the only one I heard. She probably didn't even know where to go.

"Milium, please slow down or you'll hurt yourself!" I exclaimed fumbling with the fruits in my arms while running.

Too bad my warning was a little late. I heard her scream in surprise and saw her fall backward. Time felt slower as I discarded all the fruits in my arms and lunged for her. My arms wrapped around her waist, tugging her to my chest to prevent her from hitting the ground. Unfortunately, the momentum and force of her falling on me caused us both to hit the ground but at least I was her cushion. After that, the world resumed at normal speed.

I groaned sitting up with her in my lap, "Are you okay, Milium?"

"Yeah," she murmured.

"Oi, are you both okay?" I heard Rimuru say.

"Yeah! We're both fine!" I called back getting up with Milium in my arms.

"Are you okay, Rigurd?" Rimuru asked, who I'm guessing is the one Milium ran into. When Rimuru affirmed that he was fine, he turned to us, "What happened?" 

We had already separated from the embrace but I wish we hadn't. I shouldn't think of that right now. Milium was already being punished for fighting today, I can't let her get into any more trouble.

"It was my fault, Great Rimuru," I bowed my head, "I asked Milium to help me take these in and when I noticed we were running late I forced her to run faster. She got distracted because I was telling her to go even faster. Please forgive me, Great Rimuru. And most importantly of all, please forgive me for forcing you to do my work, Milium."

It was quiet, too quiet. I was worried he saw right through me. Please forgive me for lying, Great Rimuru! I picked up on a sigh.

"Alright, as long as you are all okay then it's all good but you are still picking all this mess up, and be careful next time." Came his response.

"Yes, sir. Right away, sir." I got on my knees to pick everything up.

I heard footsteps walk away from me and I let a sigh of relief out. I'm glad he didn't get mad and that he believed me.

"(Y/N)," I registered Milium's voice, "Why did you do that?"

"You didn't deserve another punishment when it wasn't your fault. I should have carried my own basket," I stated throwing her a grin then got back to work, "Now, go enjoy the rest of your day."

A few moments passed before she too walked away. 

"Oh no," I frowned holding the unwoven straw that was once my basket, "This is what happens when you complain about a few seems."

I sighed, now having to find a way to carry all the fruits.

****Late afternoon****

"Finally!" I huffed. 

It took me an hour to gather all the fruits because they got scattered all over Rimuru but now it was done.

"Now all I need to do is carry them," I dreaded.

There were so many! Just as I was about to roll up my sleeves and just do it I heard an ahem behind me. I turned to see a sight. Milium holding a basket similar to the old one but newer and she was blushing. 

"Here, this is for taking the blame. Even if it was my fault," she spoke, "I'm also going to help you this time."

I was confused at first but then I grinned at her, "I would love that. Thank you."

She blushed more as she came to sit beside me. We sat very close, our thighs touched, but I didn't mind. We gathered the fruits in comforting silence.

She clung to him tightly, her limbs shaking and Rimuru held her close. Her body was cold, barely clothed, barely keeping her warm. "Hey, you're okay, I'm here now. I'm here."

When the tears fell, that's when he knew he wasn't going to ever let her go.

Some time has passed now and (y/n) was doing much better. She had bathed and got a new set of clothes that would keep her warm. Rimuru had asked what had happened, but she shook her and shrugged. "I have no idea, one minute I am walking through the city and the next, I'm here. In the woods of some unknown place."

Rimuru nodded his head in understanding, and asked another question that was weighing on his mind. "How did you know it was me? I look completely different than before."

(y/n) looked away for a moment, pensive. With a sigh she said, "I don't know. When I saw you, I got this feeling that you were familiar, like I knew you. And somehow, my body knew too and flung me to you." It wasn't the best of explanations, but she couldn't quite put the feeling into words. She tried her best.

Rimuru smiled softly at her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "Honestly, I don't really care how you got here or how you remember me, I'm just glad you do. And that you're here. I missed you."

"Really?"

"Of course! You were my childhood friend, not to mention my first ever crush."

"What!? You had a crush on me?" (y/n) questioned in awe. Rimuru chuckled, embarrassed.

"Yeah, and maybe I still kind of do. Who knows." He muttered, avoiding eye contact with her. She was quiet as he internally panicked, but before he could explain further, the blue haired man felt a hand on his chest. Looking up, he found (y/n) with determination in her eyes and her cheeks were red like roses.

Rimuru stared for what felt like a million years, just staring into his first crush's eyes before his lifted up in a wide smile. He moved closer to her and gently kissed her cheek, making her giggle. He did it to the other cheek and leaned back to study her face once more, raising a hand to her kissed cheek. He swear he could feel roses blossoming in his chest.

You like being alone but at the same time you liked being with Treyni and her sisters

When the town flourished and the summer festival that Rimuru made came, Treyni asked you to go to the festival although she knew you have the fear of crowds but nethertheless you still attended.
