Something I really love about Roiben:

Whenever he messes up, and Kaye retaliates because she feels hurt or vulnerable (or even vindictive), Roiben always owns up to it. He even openly says, “I deserve this, I know I do” and he doesn’t take it personally, and his love remains constant regardless. (I’m like 70% through Ironside so can this possibly change in the next few chapters? Sure. But up until this point he’s been pretty consistent in this characterization and it’s really refreshing). But Kaye always wars with her own guilt when she’s dishing out retribution, and him saying this almost takes the guilt from her. It’s like Cassian holding up the punching bags for Feyre, telling her he can take the hit if she needs to make it.
