What if you forget they’re poison and accidentally eat one and then boom. Dead. All because you wanted a red delicious.” Nancy hums, seemingly agreeing with Robin and Robin can’t believe that one: Nancy has let her into her house, two: they’ve gone this long without getting into an argument.

no because like people talk about steve and eddie co-parenting dustin bc of course, obviously, and nancy and robin co-parenting max because yeah that’s adorable, and steve and eddie also co-parenting max and sure, yeah, i can see it, but there’s no way you can convince me nancy and robin aren’t also co-parenting dustin.

dustin? nancy’s favorite of all her brother’s friends dustin? look me in the eyes and tell me that nancy wheeler, who saw dustin near tears in a middle school gym and went to dance with him to cheer him up, wouldn’t have his back always. and sure, he goes to steve for relationship advice, but you know the second that nancy hears that she’d be hounding steve to make sure he told dustin all the right things about respecting women and not being a show-off douchebag and ‘so help me steve if you turn sweet little dustin henderson into a high school player i will shoot you with the revolver’

also it took dustin approximately 20 minutes to like robin enough to start trying to get steve to ask her out. he and robin click instantly, because here’s this weird, unapologetic girl who knows 4 languages and cracks russian codes and gets blueprints of the whole ass mall and is just so immediately on board with his crazy plans--especially during a week when all of his friends ditched him. not to mention the fact that robin, having known dustin for like 3 days and erica for even less time, stayed back with steve so they could escape. like, loyalty is such a huge thing for dustin, it has been since the very beginning, and robin is so immediately and instinctively loyal you can’t tell me she’s not one of his heroes.

and yeah, nancy and robin aren’t babysitters the same way steve is, but nancy’s the most capable person under the age 20 in hawkins, and robin is a walking embodiment of what the kids would be as high schoolers if they didn’t grow up dealing with upside down shit.

not to mention the fact that they offer such different types of advice and comfort, and so once they get together it’s like a two-for-one deal, you go to nancy for help when shit hits the fan and you also get robin cheering you up, you go to robin when you need advice and you also get nancy suddenly watching your back for a week to make sure you’re okay

so yeah. nancy and robin co-parents. or, like, the cool gay aunts who take no shit. dustin admires them so much

Max Mayfield has both two moms and two dads.

i see a lot of shit about Maxs “moms” (Nancy and Robin) which i love, I love that. But i think we should also consider Max and her “dads.”

I am a FIRM believer in the Max & Eddie dynamic. I think Eddie would take Max under his wing and away from her toxic household. I have written many a fic where they live together.

But Steve and Max also have that bond. I mean, Steve got a letter, didn’t he? You can’t tell me she doesn’t see that man as someone to look up to.

My favorite group out of all the Stranger Things characters is Eddie & Steve & Max & Dustin. They are a happy little family. (i throw in Will and El on occasion too bc the Eddie & Will dynamic is something i need desperately in life.)

But I also live Max having strong women to look up to, hence why Nancy and Robin are her moms.

She’s gets 4 queer young adults as her parents that aren’t actually blood related to her, but they love her like their own.
