two endings and one beginning

with the rqg feed actually going dark, i felt like it was time to face the fact that wilde will probably not die a third time and instead is?? actually happy?

so yeah im not at all emotional about facing the end and knowing that things wont change anymore and its just... over.. me? emotional? never. this didn't leave any impact on me at all.

Man just like... Epilogue Zamid gives me the feels whether that's romantic or platonic or what cause like, they spent the whole campaign failing to really work together and really get along and I'd pretty much just accepted that like, the endgame for these characters was just some people can't work it out and they're probably not going to continue to work together once they're not forced to by dire circumstances and then when epilogue three rolled around and they actually got along and we're friends and like, it wasn't that they were only working together because of the stress of the situation, with the stress of the situation lifted and enough time to grow they did actually find common ground like yes!

This has been my sleep deprived rant about Zamid, pls enjoy I guess.

I finished RQG at work last night and I was literally like- holding my breath to keep myself from crying oh my god the epilogues were so bittersweet AUGH they were all such good friends at the end and all of the aging differences in the races I just- AAAAAAAAAA

Alex, Ben, Lydia, Bryn and Helen created such a beautiful, hilarious and profound story and I’m so glad I got the opportunity to listen to it. I have so many thoughts about Zolf specifically, he was the character that stood out to me the most. I think his internal conflicts and his hesitation and unwillingness to show his emotions and how much he cared about people really resonated with me. His character just- it meant a lot to me.

I started listening to RQG because I’m really interested in tabletop rpgs but don’t really have an opportunity to play them because of where I live, and I came out of listening to RQG thinking about how much the concept of living is tied to our experiences and free will and questioning how much I’m actually living. The story was genuinely so well crafted and I cried multiple times during my listen-through.

I don’t think I’ll do a re-listen so soon, I know that Rusty Quill has a lot of other podcasts that I want to listen to, but I want to re-listen eventually because I know that there will be little details I catch that I didn’t catch the first time around, just like with TMA.

collection of zoscar hc‘s after the fist epilogue !! pt. 1 or sth

- they have a really nice old halfling lady who sold them the house (she lives with her kids next door now) and then decided she‘s gonna take care of them now. no objections. she and hamid are like best friends

- oscar has a walk-in wardrobe

- zolf obviously runs the kitchen and oscar does the paper stuff and the bar. when zolf‘s not busy cooking he helps out

- used to have seperate rooms bc damn thats just who they are, but after a series of nightmares they ended up both sleeping in oscar double bed (ofc he has a double bed. i mean. its oscar.) most of the time (one shot material-)

- and when hamid starts to spend more and more time at their place they decide to give him zolf‘s room, so nowadays Zolf just goes to oscar‘s office whenever he needs some space

- they can afford all that bc 1. the big hero‘s yada yada 2. oscar became k i n d of famous with the writing he does, when he isn‘t gushing over papers or chatting with their customers (or annoying Zolf)

I've had this idea rattling around in my head for months now and I finally got around to writing it: what if Zolf had encountered the Cult of Poseidon again during the reunion in Dover? What if they weren't happy with how things had turned out and wanted someone to blame? What if Wilde had to come to his rescue?
