Honestly this new illustration gave me more inspiration for my diabolik lovers series. Because in my series Yui met diaboys in childhood and they became good friends until the day that Karlheinz will separate them and clear their memories from each other.

Now this is my new headcanons to write my diabolik lovers series with young diaboys and Yui.

Shu is the first person who meets Yui and asks her to play with him.

Shu takes Yui to his room and they have fun.

Reiji sneaks a look at them from behind the door and Yui sees him and smiles and asks him to join them.

Reiji shyly joins them and they have a good time together.

Shu gives Yui a heart necklace and asks her to keep it forever. (Yui will keep it even as an adult, although she doesn't remember who gave it to her)

Ayato plays with Yui in the mansion and Yui falls and injures her knee and Ayato caresses Yui's knee and kisses her cheek.

Kanato is very shy and Yui joins his tea party and Kanato sings for her.

Laito helps Yui find a suitable outfit for the party and combs her hair.

Subaru gives Yui a white rose.

Yui meets the Mukami brothers and the Tsukinami brothers at a party.

Ruki and Carla kneel before Yui and ask her for a dance.

Kou likes Yui's hair and keeps smelling her hair and kissing her.

Shu is Yuma's old friend and introduces Yui to him and they become friends.

Azusa is very shy and stays away from the guests the whole time until Yui joins him. She takes his hand and they go out of the ballroom and go to the balcony and watch the moon.

Shin joins them and the three of them continue watching the moon together.

Yui falls asleep with her head on Azusa's shoulder, and Ruki, as Azusa's older brother, follows him and sees Yui sleeping.

Ruki throws his coat over Yui to protect her from the cold.

Yuma comes to the balcony and hugs Yui and takes her to her room.

Carla visits Yui for the last time and kisses her forehead.

Shin does his older brother's move and kisses Yui's forehead and says goodbye to her while she is sleeping.

All Sakamaki and Mukami brothers do this in order and kiss Yui's forehead and leave her room.

These children were the best friends until...

(Please note that this headcanon is in their childhood and they had different and kinder personalities in their childhood.)

Hearing Ruki crying, after seeing Yui's simple message "I miss you" in the dark fate ecstasy prologue after she submitted herself to Shin to protect the Mukamis', made me cry along too

His painful cries for Yui because he is oh so deeply in love with her. Yep, Yui made this unpredictable guy who always remains calm and has control over his emotions, cry and an emotional mess.

Reading the translations on the Tumblr already brought me into shambles but finally hearing it, yeah I'm totally broken now. totally.

I swear listening to all dark fate routes and seeing their voice being filled with emotions(compared to their emotionless voices in HDB) towards Yui is such a masterpiece 😭 that's development right there.

thanks to Robert Rogers on YouTube for translating all the routes. They are translating all the routes from HDB. You can go watch your fav characters' routes if you are curious about how your fav character showed emotions.

🛑Must read Note: I got this idea randomly and it's actually a ShuYui story short story that I imagined basically it's not a vampire au it's human au. Again if you are confused and got questions do ask. Reviews are welcomed 🤧❤️

🛑The time set of this au is when Shu, Ruki and Yui are in their college life.

Edgar opened his eyes to find himself in a unknown place he can tell its a music room from the instrument around.

Edgar got up. He immediately started panicking a bit where is he? He remember sleeping on his bed last time how did he end up here??!

The blonde boy immediately got closer to the music room door to find answers only to get collided by another guy.

"Ughh.. Watch where your going? Will you?"

Edgar look at the person whom he collided with. Shu got up from the floor and dusted himself a bit.

"DAD!! "

Edgar said as he grabbed shu legs. Shu eyes widened at his action and words.

"Oi.. The heck is wrong with you? Let go off me you brat! "

Shu said as he tried to wiggle the blonde teenager away.

"Dad! Dad! What are you saying? Where are we? "

Edgar said as he got up from floor and grabbed shu arm.

"Your crazy for sure.. I am not your dad... We are in college let go off me you brat!... your annoying?"

Shu said lazily as he glared at him. His blue eyes staring at his round pink eyes.

"College?... What are you doing in college? Dad... Why, just what is happening here?!"

Edgar said as he let go off shu and sat down on floor. His own dad isn't recognising him shu cold attitude hurted him. Why? He asked as he slumped on floor.

Shu would have left this blonde guy alone but the moment he saw this blonde strangers eyes he stopped for a bit his big doe eyes reminding him of a certain blonde girl whom he was trying to forget.

" Did you finish the assignment? " A girl said as group of girls was passing.

Shu immediately turned to look at the owner of the voice a blonde girl was walking towards him with her friends. This voice also caused Edgar to raised his head and look at the girl. Shu immediately turned to leave he needs to find another place to sleep this brat has already ruined his nap time.

" Mom?... MOM!"

Edgar said as he got up immediately ready to attack the blonde girl his mother was always kind and gentle to him, she will surely help him!

Before Edgar could approch yui he was immediately stopped by shu whom grabbed him by his shoulders and overpowered him. He held him in a firm grip.

Yui looked at shu and Edgar with a confusing gaze. Yui friends stopped too. After seeing shu, mika immediately stepped infront of yui.

"Yui has already told you that she doesn't like you will you stop following and stalking her?! "

The said girl immediately pulled out flowers and chocolate with a note and throwed it to shu.

"Could you stop sending this to her house like a creep? Gosh! You really have no self respect! I repeat she doesn't like you and never will!? "

"Mika.. Stop I think it's enough..Shu-san won't do it anymore-"

"Just because your senior we won't file a complain so it's better if you stop-"

"Yui!.. What's going on here? "

Said another voice. Edgar eyes widened as he looked at the person approaching them. Yui immediately perked up.

"Ruki-kun! " Yui immediately went up and hugged him. Ruki kissed yui on her head.

Shu gave a groan of annoyance as he slowly let go of edgar he turned away to leave not wanting to see the couple's display of affection... Not when the girl is his love. He looked at his letters and chocolates on floor and gifts that Mika throwed... Great! He bought them with his first pay and that's how it's treated.....

"YOU STALKER! PSYCHO! GET AWAY FROM MY MOM! "

Edgar shouted as he launched himself on ruki. Ruki immediately hugged yui closer to him and moved away from edgar. Shu eyes widened as he immediately turned around.

Edgar immediately grabbed ruki, yui yelped as she fell on floor, ruki immediately gained upper hand and pushed Edgar away from him before ruki could punch edgar his fist got stopped by shu.

"That's enough! Let go off him...i will take him away. "

"Tch."

Ruki immediately backed away. He noticed his girl friend on floor and immediately came to yui's aid by helping her to get up.

Ruki looked at Edgar and noticed his similarities to shu.

"Whats the big idea? Sakamaki Shu. I already warned you before I am warning you again don't come close to things that aren't yours. And control your cousin... Let's go yui. "

Ruki said as he took yui hand and walked away. Yui looked back at them she noticed concern in Edgar eyes as if he was telling her to not to go. Yui was confused. She turned to look ahead.

"DAD! Stop him!? That psycho! How could you let your wife go with her crazy stalker!? Didnt you told mom to be cautious of him?! "

Edgar said as he watched shu picking up a roseary Edgar recongnized this roseary it's his mom's prized possession.

"Hah! Stop talking your voice is annoyingly loud and irritating... "

"Dad? You do realize that you let Mom go with Mukami Ruki!? "

Shu turned to look at him with annoyance.

"Listen kid.. I am not your dad.. Beside yui is going with her boyfriend of 3 years he is her childhood friend too he is the safest guy yui can be with."

Edgar said as he walked back and forth with stress.

"Dad! Dad! What is wrong with you that maniac will do something to mom! "

Shu looked at him calmly and sighed.

"Why are you calling me and yui dad and mom just because you are aware that I like her that doesn't mean that you call us your parents.. Beside isn't it too extreme to call strangers your parents?"

Edgar turned to look at him.

"Strangers... But dad..No! No! Don't tell me... Dad are you really not my dad and mom isn't my mom... But you both look like them even your names too but why ruki is with mom?I was in my room why did I?!"

Edgar said as he ruffled his hair he is going to get crazy at this point.

"Hah... I will take my leave...you ruined my nap time.... "

"But dad--wait a minute!"

Edgar looked around as realization hit him like bricks. He looked at shu with widened eyes.

"I traveled back in time.. " He mumbled he looked at shu whom was walking ahead.

"Can you tell me date and year atlest? "

"Its 21 April, 2001."

Edgar eyes widened.

"Dad...Mom isn't safe with that guy......."

Edgar mumbled this caused shu to give a frustrated sigh.

"And why not? "

Edgar looked at him.

"Because in few weeks,he will kill mom's father and will become crazy after mom.. "
