remember when buffy the vampire slayer made it canon that if you're too unpopular in high school you turn invisible. and that the fbi is recruiting these invisible children to train as assassins. and then it just never comes up again

cris watches dr. who: s01e11 - "Boom Town"
"We're in Cardiff. London doesn't care. The South Wales coast could fall into the sea and they wouldn't notice! Oh! I sound like a Welshman. God help me, I've gone native."
Nobody thought to check all the Slitheen were all gone? Dr., I like you, but you're kind of bad on follow-up. People describing him as a force of chaos rather than a force of justice aren't entirely wrong
Hee. I happen to love the Dr.'s big ears
"Probably wondering what four people were doing in a big wooden box." God I miss the eighties
Some journalists have the survival instincts of a lemming. This lady interviewing the Slitheen lady is one of them
The amount of nosy people killed in increasingly silly ways is hilarious, but also... dang, she been busy
The vertical blinking on the Slitheen is almost… cute?
Another episode where we get to pity the monster. She just wants off this rock. Doctor Who is good at these
"Don't answer," sez Jack as the Dr. is roped into a manipulative conversation with the Slitheen. He's right, Doctor. Too smart for your own good. You always think you're the smartest in the room and once somebody ropes you in a conversation, you just talk and talk and talk...
Oh god, I'm the Doctor
Annette Badland, the actress playing the Slitheen, is excellent. (The actress has been in everything too)
Alexa, add "poison ring" to my Christmas wishlist
The Doctor eats meat? That's a little surprising and feels a little OOC
Jesus, keep calm and move on Mickey. Rose obviously has
The Song of the Ship turned her into an Egg? That's a little metaphysical and feels a little deus ex machina, but it does fit the theme of second chances. I like that the Doctor found an option other than killing the Slitheen. Despite the Dr.'s inherent chaos and his repressed anger, he's still basically kind to living things. I like that part about him the most
6 out of 8 Tardes. Episode's a little slow, but definitely a more thought provoking showing for the Slitheen
