I was tagged by the amazing @saltwaterwoods to post my lock screen, home screen, and last song listened to! My lock screen is a pic of the field next to where I lived in Tennessee for a month for my archaeological field school because it was my absolute favorite thing to see first thing in the morning, my home screen is a My Favorite Murder quote because it’s the best podcast ever, and the last song I listened to was Camisado (Live in Chicago) by Panic! Top five songs you think are underrated? ^.^

ahhhh, i am the WORST person to ask this to, because i’ve just been listening to the same emo music for fifteen years. so i wouldn’t say any of these songs are truly ‘underrated’ per se, as the bands that sing them are quite popular, but they’re underrated compared to their other music? does tat make sense? probably not, but anyway!!!: 1. Kill All Your Friends by My Chemical Romance (everyone likes to focus on Heaven Help Us, which, yeah, i get, but THIS is the best of the cut songs from the black parade 2. Homesick at Space Camp by Fall Out Boy (this is one of my all time fave FOB songs and NO ONE talks about it like ever??? it’s very upsetting D:) 3. Put Me Out by The Used (people sleep on Vulnerable a lot, which is a shame, because it’s one of my favorite used albums! it’s really good? why don’t we talk about this???) 4. East Jesus Nowhere by Green Day (i’ve been thinking about 21st century breakdown a lot since i ranked all of the songs from it for an ask a few weeks ago, and honestly, this whole album is underrated and it’s a shame and idk why people seem to not like it! it was a GREAT follow-up to american idiot, esp. this track) AAAAAND 5. the entire discography of Midtown (MIDTOWN DID SO MUCH FOR THE ALT SCENE! we may not have mcr if not for them! we love cobra starship as we should, but y’all, DO NOT. SLEEP. ON. MIDTOWN!) //ask me my top 5 anything!

i’m currently reading one called “Witch Town” by Cory Putman Oakes and it’s kinda interesting, but something about the story is putting me off, so idk. And next I’m planning on reading Renegades by Marissa Meyer and Nightfall by Shannon Messenger!!!

1. Talk about the first time you watched your favorite movie. 

Hmmh... I guess my all-time favorite movie is the Lion King, and though I can’t remember the first time watching it, I had such an obsession with it. I had my own Lion King videotape that I would bring to kindergarten class all the time, i remember that. And  I would always make my friends play Lion King lol. (i got off topic but ohhhwwelllll)

32. Talk about a place you remember from your childhood.

I used to go to this [christian] summer camp for a week from 6-10th grade. It was pretty fun. There were a lot of activities like horseback riding and archery and there were mountain hikes, and one year i did an overnight hike on a section of the Appalachian Trail. it was pretty fun, and since it was in plumtree, nc it was really pretty and i remember taking a ton of neat pictures. i miss doing outdoorsy stuff in cool weather.

@saltwaterwoods I’m gonna take this moment to post my favorite pics from my field school cause the sunsets were amazing and the field next to our bunk houses was sooooo pretty

The first two are the field at 9 pm then 7 am, the third fourth and fifth pics are from the observation deck of an 70 or 80 ft mound (can’t remember exact height) (and that mound in the fourth pic is actually a museum built to look like a mound), and the last one is the parking lot of our field house. I’m dying to go back to Pinson TN again I loved it so much it’s been three years but I can’t get over it

awesome! you're inspiring me to make a start on my own to-read pile, i find sometimes the really hard part is working out where to start haha

aaa yess, you should definitely do that!!! but i know what you mean, deciding where to start is tough. i usually just go for the shortest book of the pile and work my way from there.
