So with his elite skin I love that now you can basically de-age Sam because the "headgear" is basically a head. Kinda like how I'd decapitate my barbies and swap their heads.....

Oh brother! I just had a thought, picture this:

Zero being a father figure to a very reckless recruit who often gets injured or into trouble.

bonus points if the reader never had a father figure in his life... Like me '-'

Found this one far easier to do as headcanons cause I had a few ideas for it. Uh big f 'bout the dad situation. (⊙_⊙;) Hope you enjoy this tho. (ﾉ*･ω･)ﾉ

Father Figure Zero Headcanons

Wasn’t an intentional development, he's always the type to treat people fairly and the same

After a mishap that landed you in the infirmary he came to investigate, your record was far from clean so it was natural to assume that you would be the cause of the situation

Eventually found out that you took the fall for a fellow recruit

The situation was left alone much to your relief but from that point onward he was sure to keep an eye on you

Noticed after a while that you were constantly looking after your fellow operatives but no one looked after you

Started to come rather close after you sprained your ankle during training. Wasn’t a terrible sprain.

Ended up tending to your sprain when you refused to go to the med bay stating ‘I’ve had worse than this and ‘it’s not that bad, I’ll be fine just give me a small breather’

Refused to let you continue training and sidelined you, much to your complaints

One week he notices you’re a little off, not doing terribly in training but he can tell that your mind isn’t 100% focused

Finds out that you just ended a long-distance relationship and you’re unsure how to feel

Sits with you and listens to your feelings, not interrupting.

He doesn’t like talking about his personal life but just this once he will make an exception and talk about when he divorced his wife

After that, there's always this strong mutual respect after that and he's the one who now has to deal whenever you get in trouble

Won’t let you off easy but isn’t super harsh, always the one to ask questions first and act afterwards

You have called him dad before in a sarcastic way if he fusses about you too much, just rolls his eyes in response

Takes every opportunity to teach you how to improve during training when he beats your ass

On the odd occasion when you eliminate him, he would be extremely proud of you and looks at it as a time for him to self-reflect.
