I've seen a couple of artists make the wings that Marisa has in this game similar to Flandre's, so I decided to do the same, of course, putting my own detail (the green things at the end of the wing tips(?).

By the way, Marisa is supposed to be sitting while flying . . . It's a bit strange. This drawing is a little weird, but I like it.

Finally got everything set up to record Seihou, so here's a Normal 1cc (with the Homing shot)!! I am SUPER happy with this run, I did well enough that I would've 1cc'd even if I hadn't given myself extra lives.....!

This game is really, really fun. I hope more Touhou and shmup lovers will give it a chance, even though it's a little old and unpolished.

The Seihou Project of games is considered the sister series of the ever-popular Touhou Project, its first release happening in the year 2000. Conceived as the functional opposite of the Touhou games by ZUN's colleagues at Amusement Makers (who helped publish the PC-98 Touhou games), Seihou (it meaning "western" as opposed against Touhou meaning "eastern") is a series where you play as VIVIT, a robotic maid with the ability to change the bullets she grazes into energy she can use. She is powered by a form of energy generated by the last surviving plant species on Earth: the cactus.

Rather than focus on the same old-school, spiritual vibe that Touhou is known for, Seihou goes in the opposite direction and focuses on more sci-fi concepts in a futuristic civilization. The series is often considered to be of higher difficulty than that of its sister series due to its slightly different grazing mechanics.

Despite not creating the series himself, ZUN has contributed to the Seihou Project himself, either by creating music for the games or even having his characters make guest appearances. There is no confirmed canonical ties between the two series despite this.

The Seihou Project is not as large a franchise as its sister series, only having three mainline installments to its name, the last one of those three being released in 2004 (with an updated release happening about four years later). There have been a few smaller spinoffs released in the past few years, but seemingly nothing on a fourth mainline installment.
