soooo pepsi dropped the new logo (they like to be ahead of the game) and i’m realizing how much you can learn about society based on graphic design trends. just in my lifetime i’ve seen design go from the 90s cambrian explosion of digital airbrushes that chased after kids on computers. to the glassy, skeuomorphic ‘00s when apple and microsoft showed off how realistic a vector could look with new tech (think early macOS X and windows XP or vista). to the minimalist reduction of the ‘10s to maximize screen real estate and visual info dumping on mobile devices with tiny virtual buttons. now in the ‘20s people are dumping it all, going for pre-computer (or at least pre-social media) nostalgia in an age where youth, who had previously chosen to be online, were forced to live there by a global pandemic. who maybe kind of wish for a life taken at face value rather than perceived through digital layers. ironic that these pre-internet aesthetics are booming on tiktok and instagram

Koneko-chan looked around frantically. Where was Raku-chan? Wasn't she supposed to be at the Kawaii pantsu underwear chan ^o^ stall?

"Uhm, wut r u doin here u weird kodomo? Do I know you?" sed a voice. (trsanlator note: kodomo means kid)

It was Raku-chan's classmate!

"Um, I'm looking for my tomadachi, her name is Raku-chan," said Koneko-chan. "She's a neko girl with green hair and gray ears… do you recognize that description?"

"Raku-chan?" The classmate repeated. "Oh yea, she sang a really kawaii song and selled all our panty-chans. Then Vet-sensei came and sed that we did a good job, so minna san all left to take a break and look around teh school festival."

"Did she by any chance happen to say where she was going?" Koneko-chan asked politely. She tended to speak extremely politely when she was nervous.

"Hmm… I think she might have mentioned something about a takoyaki-taiyaki stand. Then again, Raku-chan was looking really red, maybe she went to the nurse's office for heat stroke or something."

Koneko-chan sweatdropped and laughed awkwardly. Yup, the constant, uncontrollable blushing sounded like Raku-chan alright.

"Domo arigato gozaimashita!" Koneko-chan bowed gratefully, b4 running to the takoyaki-taiyaki stand.

The takoyaki-taiyaki stand was completely deserted. Koneko-chan's kokoro sunk… where was Raku-chan?

"Raku-chan? Raku!" Koneko-chan called, desperately clinging to hope that her friend was still there.

To her surprise, someone actually answered.

"The person you are looking for is not here."

Strange, Koneko-chan hadn't noticed anyone, so where was that voice coming from?

"H-hello? Dare ga imasu ka? Who are you?" Koneko-chan voiced her confusion aloud. (translatos note: Dare ga imasu ka means Who's there)

Then she saw it: a figure, their features obscured by a cloak, emerging from the shadows.

"Pfpth pfpth pfph pfpth pfpth…" the figure laughed strangely. "Who am I… I wonder that too, you know. Well, it doesn't matter anymore, I suppose."

"Nani? I don't wakarimashita…" said Koneko-chan. (Translators note: wakarimashita means understood)

"You're looking for Raku-chan, are you?" The figure scoffed. "I guess the saying is true after all. Ai makes fools out of nekos." (translaters note: teh originil quote is like "love makes fools out of men" or sumthin)

Koneko-chan's eyes widened. "How do you know about that? I never told anyone about… about watashi's feelings…"

"Oh, I know a lot about "ai,"" the figure waved their hand carelessly. "Anyways, enough with the small talk. I'm here to deliver a message from a certain kami… Ai no Kami-sama." (TRanslators note: Ai = Love. Kami-sama = God)

"N-n-n-Nani?!" Koneko-chan gasped. "Ai no Kami-sama?! TEH GOD OF LOVE?!?!!!!!"

The messenger nodded. "The one and only. Well, on with the message. *clears throat* According to the heavenly decree of Ai no Kami-sama, the magnifique Kami of Love, Ai no Kami-sama will grant one wish to those who believe in love. As long as one has love within their kokoro, they will be blessed by the miracel of mahou. Sent from my iPhone" (Translaters note: mahou means magic)

Koneko-chan thought over the message. "Oh… does that mean… can Ai no Kami-sama grant my wish?" she asked hopefully.

For a moment, there was nothing but silence. Then, the messenger replied, each word spoken carefully and deliberately. "Where there is love, there is hope. Believe that love will lead you to your happy ending. And remember that love is the one and only truth of this world."

Koneko-chan felt the words resonate with her very soul. They were both looking at the same truth, the same world outside of the sight of the unbelievers, "that" which can only be seen with love. There was no need to say anything in reply; Koneko-chan was sure that the messenger already knew.

Instead, Koneko-chan simply asked a question she had been wondering about: "If you're delivering this message from Kami-sama, does that mean you're an angle?"

"Heh, an "angle"…? Nah, a "demon" would be more fitting for me. What a twist of fate that I ended up as an underling of Ai no Kami-sama." The messenger chuckled, turning around and tilted their shadowed head. "Y'know, I'm starting to get kinda attached to you, neko. You make for some pretty good entertainment. So, I'll tell you a little secret: my name is… Kuro Raku." (translaters note: kuro means 黒 which means black darkness so Kuro Raku would be like Dark Raku)

Koneko-chan's eyes widened. She glimpsed a strand of very familiar green hair and her blood went cold.

"Yeah, the same name as your little tomodachi. What do you think that means?" Kuro Raku smirked, before disappearing back into the shadows.

Koneko-chan shivered, the setting sun failing to warm the icy sensation of dread trickling through her veins.

Kuro Raku didn't have neko ears or a tail.

So why did she look exactly like Raku-chan?

Authors AN: Ok watashi knows this is kinda confusing chapter liek who is Kuro Raku and wut does Ai no Kami have to do wit the story BUT DONT WORRy everthing will be reveled… soon. *laughs evilly like a yandere laugh lol*

the last usa game I went to not a single player interacted with the crowd even tho they were standing right in front of us. I dont expect anything from them but was caught off guard by the fact that not even an acknowledgment of the fans was made, im thinking us soccer has bascially forced them to stop engaging.

i think there’s a fine balance but you’ve got to also realize just how quickly the women’s sport has exploded over the recent years.

the second they start waving or interacting with fans more personally, they’re expected to interact with everyone which isn’t just a handful of people, it’s tens of hundred of sometimes thousands, and that can be extremely overwhelming, no?

even at sincs last game, not many players interacted with the crowd. in fact most of the aussies just went into the locker rooms as soon as they could. it did suck as a fan that they didn’t do a lap but you can’t fault for them :/

it definitely is a huge change from what i feel like a lot of people are used to but unfortunately, you win some you lose some. and if we want the game to grow, then the tight knit communities and closeness between teams and club supporters is likely going to wane out.

the way you guys are attacking the players (only seems to be barca) even though we only know the tip of the iceberg on this situation is crazy. we know nothing about what has been said after and during the whole situation. the las 15 thing was never gonna work to begin with when not all of them stood up together. the rfef had established the fact that vilda wasnt leaving whether they won or not, the only way change is coming now is with succes and support. acting as if the players didnt deserve to win and get success from a tournament they performed well in because of the coach and federation is so unfair.

hi! if you’ll see my posts i’ve never once discredited spain for their win. have i complimented them? no. but i have not in a single post said they don’t deserve it. i’ve seen all the games spain has played, they played well, wonderfully really.

what irks me as a viewer of the game is not technically the players themselves that bother me (even if it was, i’m within my own right to not like a player). my main issue with the cause at hand is not being true to your word and sticking up for what you believe in. it’s disappointed me greatly to see players who i looked up to take a stance, especially one as deep as this situation is, only to go back on their word. i value morals, values, and ethics. that's how i work. a handful of these players have gone back on what they believed in...and sure they may be right in their own sense but it doesn't mean i have to support it. for me, whether it be a player or a friend of mine who's done this, i would be stepping back from them either way. im choosing here to respect myself and what i believe in and support those that i feel best match who i am as a person.

and could i see where they’re coming from in terms of playing at the wc? yes. do i respect their decision to come back under a coach they’ve all claimed is toxic? when more than half the team has written down that they would like to have him removed as a coach? MORE THAN HALF? and yet, when it came time to double down, to really show how much of a poor impact he had on the team, only a handful did so.

the implications of the players that rejoined under the coach and those that were willing to is huge. it washes away everything they’ve fought for up to till this point. the hard work and sacrifices of not only themselves but also other players.

as for the only barca players being attacked…mate i’m genuinely not a liga f watcher, much less a real madrid watcher. i personally have been floating in and out of the woso space for years, focussing a lot more on the north american and then somewhat british side due to the north american players playing there. i've just recently got into the wsl and have watched maybe 5 games of barca bc a) i grew up in the messi era and have supported him, and b) all the hype surrounding alexia putellas.

i can't speak for other people, but that's my reasoning. im only mainly familiar with ona, aitana, and alexia, and they're the players that matter to me, that i once looked up to. the others, i mean this in the nicest way possible, i am indifferent to. its just the way it is. you can't care for everyone, and i am choosing not to.

i want you to take a look at usa's coach...the way he's left the team after their horrible performance. and you've said it yourself as well, this was never going to work when not all of them stood together. THAT IS THE POINT. that right there.

why have only a handful of players made sacrifices? why is only them sticking by their word? where are the rest? this is why im upset. that this could've had an impact. imagine what everyone would have been focusing on if 15 of spains key players were out? the talks that would happen. yes spain has more than 15 good players. but if you're missing names like bonmati, leon, alexia, etc....people would talk!

at the end of the day, it comes down to the all of this combined. and so no, i won't be happy with the fact that spain won. not one bit. im not even going to apologize for that. for me the true winners were teams that fought together and stood up together (looking at usa in the past years, england, nigeria, canada, jamaica, etc.).

spain's team has showed me they don't respect their values, morals, and ethics, and that is not something i can stand behind.

Last season leah gave away almost every game her shirt but i think she got called out for it because she suddenly stopped doing it. And there is also the shirts that go for donation. The ones with the poppy flower always get donated for charity, you literally have to tell beggers that they cannot have it and they will ask for a jacket or anything. Almost feels like they just need to have something to show and tell or something 😂😂
