You don't know if he's doing that because he's still in grief or if he's changed his mind about you.

A week later, still the same thing. Him averting his eyes from you and making his way away from you.

You have had enough....you corner him. You call him into your office.

"I understand that this has been rough for you, but what the hell is going on?!"

Slamming your hands down on your desk. He jumps a little...

A brief meeting...

You’re talking on your phone and you accidentally run into someone.

Not knowing who it was or what happened. You automatically start apologizing.

“Oh my goodness, I am so sorry about that. I really need to not talk on my phone and walk at the same time. I could hurt someone,”

And as you look up you see a blonde haired blue eyed man staring right back at you.

“It’s alright ma’am, just be careful out there next time,” as he gives you that gorgeous smile back.

You smile back at him, still locking eyes with him. “Sure thing!” you manage to claimer out as you walk away briskly. You are late after all.

A few hours later you are on the main ship for this new team that Stark has put together.

You walk into the conference room, in uniform, and stand next to the rest of the team of agents that you will be working with. Introductions, love to hate them.

Stark announces that everyone is finally there to meet up with the rest of the crew. These Avengers...

Then suddenly someone catches your eye. The blonde haired, blue eyed man is back. And looking better than ever in that fitting uniform.

You stifle a smile. But restrain yourself for looking professional. Every one of the Avengers are standing there looking right at the group you’re in.

Then he does a double take in your direction. Smirks and winks.

Your heart does a little dance. Giving a little smirk of your own, you acknowledge him.

You barely listen to a thing that is said, since you and him are eyeing each other hard.

“Alright, meet is over. Feel free to look around to your new mobile command center and operations,” Fury says with a bit of a boom in his voice.

It kind of snaps you out of a little trance that your in. But as you turn to walk out of the room....

“Hey wait!” as he goes jogging over to you.

“Yes sir!” as you give him a wiry smile

“I don’t believe I caught your name,”

“(Y/N),”

As he sticks out his hand, “I’m Steve. Pleasure to meet you,”

“Trust me Captain, the pleasure will be all mine,”

You let go of his hand and turn to walk away....

“You know if they look back at you then she interested,” Stark says as he elbows Steve.

“I don’t think...” You look back and smile at him again...

“Nevermind!”

“Stark smack Cap’s chest, “Go get ‘em Cap!”

“Hey (Y/N) wait a second!” as he goes running after you...
