He thinks Leo has so much fucking swag. How does a literal egg look so fucking cool like at all times. How does she do it.

Secretly admires the shit out of Dapper. He's fucking brilliant. Hilariously unhinged. Insanely devoted to his collection habits. Adorably takes after Bad in looks and silliness. He's just such a badass little guy.

Pomme his fucking beloved. Brilliant just like her siblings, insanely perceptive, tough as nails yet still soft as flower pedals. He sees huge survivalist potential in her. He wishes she could shed some of the stress she's always seems to be under. He relates to her a bit too much sometimes. He hopes that poor girl gets a break.

He's absolutely gutted he didn't get to know Trump like at all. He saw little to nothing of him. He hopes he's at peace with Maxo.

GOD he wish he got more time with Flippa. She took him out like it was nothing. He would've loved training her alongside her parents. He bets she would've been an awesome pvper one day.

He wishes he could've seen more of Tilin. He more familiar with her than he was Trump but still not enough.

Richarlyson makes it so hard not to pick "favorite eggs" besides his own. Richas is always on some wild ass shit, Phil fucking loves it. That kid's just high on life at like all times. Unreasonably funny on top of it all. God does Phil worry about him though, he's gotten way too into risking his life for the lulz.

Ramon practically feels like a third child to him (sometimes). Much like Dapper, he loves how brilliant he is and how cracked at his craft he is.

Bobby's death absolutely devastated him. He loved that little shit. And he loved how happy he made Roier and Jaiden. Seeing how severely his death broke them made his heart ache. He had nightmares about going through the same thing.

He's DETERMINED to get to know Chunsik further. Timezones are a bitch though. :( But he will be damned if something happens before he can get more familiar.

Empanada is unreasonably cute to him, and he loves seeing her take more and more after Bagi every time he sees her once more. He absolutely loves how close she and all her moms are. He genuinely fears the Pancake Mafia tbh, and he's convinced Empanada is the head.

He adores Sunny. She knows what she wants. They're not afraid to speak their mind as long as they're comfortable. She's silly and playful and sweet. Yet they still have this small, but palpable cool edge to them. Truly one spunky little girl. 😎

Phil is like 90% sure Pepito is just always going thru it, but has a sneaking suspicion that's just how Pepito seems at first glance, and maybe thats just what Pepito WANTS people to think. Either way, Pepito is just such a Creacher and Phil loves it. An absolutely loveable little guy.

He on/off considers commissioning Ramon or Dapper to make bombs to go fuck up a Fed building. He'd let them join him tbh.

He's so insanely afraid of accidentally hurting the eggs, but he'd love to spar with them and teach them more pvp skills so they'd be even better at defending themselves. He's only comfortable doing so with his own eggs.

God, he wants more times where ALL the eggs are together. He loves watching them interact, he loves their dynamics with each other and the chaos that unfolds when they're all in one place.

Phil: I don't want to build things bc technically that's doing the Feds a favor by making the island cooler. So fuck them. // Also Phil: *would build an entire city for these goddamn eggs if it meant they were safe and happy*

Golden Son tier list + review! :D

These books are so fucking good, I want to continue with book 3 already. I have never read books this quickly, but DAMN that was good. You can see my live thoughts while I was reading from the tag "#sam flynn reads red rising", but here are my post reading thoughts below the cut.

Characters: 9/10, everyone served their purpose well and was great except for Antonia, who SOMEHOW still disappointed me.

Plot: 9/10, I have no clue if there was anything for me to complain about.

Personal Enjoyment: 10/10, I was unfortunately spoiled to 2 events within the book before I started reading, but I had so much fun regardless. I wish I had come in 100% blind :(

I have NO CLUE where to start. I guess I'll start with Fitchner. His identity as the founder of Ares was no secret to me when I came into the book, I strayed too far and accidentally got myself spoiled. Despite that, the reveal was still fucking brilliant. I'm surprised by how far he shot up in my tier list, from close to the bottom to being top 5. Wish he didn't die though 😭

Another character that shot pretty dramatically up the tier list was the Jackal. I knew he was gonna betray Darrow from the start based on intuition (thankfully not from spoilers) but DAMN HE DIDNT HAVE TO DO ALL THAT 😭 He's so sociopathic, I love that. I am no longer disappointed by him, and are excited to see what this little fucker has in store next! (Unlike with Antonia. Maybe I hyped myself up too highly for her, I expected her to play a larger role in everything but she feels so much like a pawn, it's embarrassing. She is my unironic least favorite character because of how plain disappointed I am in her, and it's not a fun hatred, it's a "oh she is here again. will she do anythin- nope. okay.")

Roque. Sweet Roque. I thought you were eh in the first book, just a cool voice for darrow to talk to I guess. But after the ending, fuck you 😍 I got spoiled by his betrayal, but honestly I saw his betrayal coming when Darrow kept being unable to reconcile with him. Either that or Roque dies, but uhhhhh I got spoiled anyways so it was going to be the latter. yeah I wish he had died instead of this! 🥰 but honestly and to be fair, yeah Darrow kind of deserved some of it for being such an ass of a friend, but:

Cassius went down the tier list because the gala fight was AMAZING but he doesn't show up after that again until the end, and that made me feel sort of hesitant? BUT HE IS CLEARLY STILL BEING SET UP FOR THE FUTURE SO HE BETTER NOT PULL AN ANTONIA AND DO NOTHING BUT BE A PAWN.

Sevro is half red, cool! I am so glad he's still such a lovable scamp. I got excited every time he showed up, I love him.

Darrow is still an amazing protagonist, and I am so glad we are past his angsty "I miss my wife" phase, but I can guarantee I will see more of it after the ending. At least I will be mentally prepared for the whump this time.

Mustang is at her prime here. The scene with her in Lykos was so... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH i fucking hope she returns for darrow because these two are awesome and they deserve all the happiness.

Oh yeah, the scene where they revisit Lykos? As I said in a previous post, it watered my crops and cleansed my skin. I am so glad we finally got to catch up with Darrow's family. AND HE GOT TO HUG HIS MOM AAAAAAAAAA- I hoped we would see Darrow talk with the rest of his family, but just everything about this was comfort enough. Rest in peace uncle Narol though. 😥 Even if the meeting with darrow and his mom was cut abruptly short by Kieran's kids, but my heart... 🥹

Ragnar spawns in and just gets to business, and I love him. I love stories where people raised for only one thing learn to break free of their mold (that's why i was so interested in this series in the first place). I think it's so iconic that every time he speaks, the text becomes bold, that instantly endeared me to him somehow.

Victra was good, but her insistence on Darrow was weird. Could be because I'm a hard Darrow × Mustang shipper.

That's all the characters I feel like talking about. Onto other things like the plot! The plot was SO much better than the first book. We're finally out of that fuckass academy and doing actual rebelling finally! I don't know what else to say, the twists and the plots were phenomenal. The fight scenes here are even better than the ones in the first book. Overall, y'all weren't kidding when people said book 1 was the weakest of the series because I am flabberghasted by how good this book is.

I don't know what else to say, all of this has just been rambling. Darrow better break those god damn chains at the end of it all.

My first introduction to Squash was a mention of her 22 Slash Fics for 22 Years (though it was 21, at the time) rec list. Then I had to look for more and was suitably impressed! Very thoughtful, detailed rec lists; but best of all, such good taste! Squash's recs were right up my alley! Even now, I don't even blink when Squash recs things, I just blindly open links and Mark For Later. (Or, for non-AO3 links, I save them to my Pocket app.)

Then one day, Squash recced Teardrop In Your Palm on her New HP Slash Fics Published in 2021 rec list!! Which made me feel quite famous, let me tell you. And insanely flattered. "This person who recs such good fics!!! Recced!!!! MY???? FIC??????" (Am I super casually sneaking extra recs into the Introduction section? Well spotted! Yes. Yes I am.)

Of course, Squash is more than just a gourd with good taste in fics. She is a very intelligent, enthusiastic, supportive fan. Big love for fandom, the community, the history, the culture, and more! She is openminded and openhearted. A rockstar cheerleader. She leaves such sweet comments! She has read a lot, and somehow finds the time to do all of this stuff, even with life being hecka weird and rough!

Best of all, Squash is a good friend. I can fearlessly barge into her DMs and blather about my woes, various dramas, and worst of all: really humiliating fangirl shenanigans. If I can shamelessly fangirl in front of anyone, it's Squash! She is a great listener. Very compassionate and supportive and understanding. She is an absolutely fantastic HUMAN above all else, and I just adore her!

My Thoughts on X-Men 97 Episode 7 Bright Eyes

Another awesome episode, it was very heavy too. Again it has brilliant dialogue and animation. love the affects of wet hair in the rain.

Spoilers, also thought be best to put a trigger warning for grief, attempted suicide ect.

Damn! I didn't expect the episode to start with Gambit's funeral, I was not prepared for that.

I see Gambit's ex wife and his brother are there. Who's the black and white haired lady.

Nightcrawler is doing the funeral, the eulogy was beautiful.

Rogue is not at the funeral, she's gone Rogue

Oh damn! Rogue certainly trashes that secret base.

Oh cool it's Ross but not totally surprised as another Marvel character appears later.

President Kelly makes an appearance and he's being voiced by Morph's old voice actor from the original series.

I love how Cyclops has his visor round the back of his neck like headphones.

Hmm interesting, Jean has her hair down.

Nice to Amelia again.

I already knew that Captain America appears, I hope other Marvel characters appear.

Rogue confronts him, who is also looking for Gyrich. I just love that he's letting Rogue hold his shield.

OZT - Operation Zero Tolerance, I know that story.

Rogue throwing his shield was hilarious.

Hmm, are we getting a bit of Dark Beast.

Rogue found Gyrich in Mexico, she tries to absorb his memories but we only see a glimpse of Nimrod.

Cyclops and Jean find Emma Frost alive, she survived when her secondary mutation activated her diamond form.

Scott thought Madelyn might have survived but he teared up, pretty sweet of Jean consoling him then.

Roberto tells his Mum that he's a mutant but she already knew and is fine about it but wants to keep it private because money is more important.

Nightcrawler consoling Rogue was so sweet, I love that he called her his sister. Rogue wailing was so heart-breaking and I ended up in tears too.

Yikes!!!! there is actually an on screen murder happening. Bastion kills Gyrich by suffocating him.

Lol at everyone crammed in that elevator and Morph drinking that diet drink.

Oh damn!! Trask wants to end his own life.

Rogue 'killing' him was shocking, she didn't want him to end his own life because she wanted to kill him herself.

Turns out Trask isn't dead, he turned into a prime Sentinel and took out Rogue. Hope she's ok, Nightcrawler saves her and we don't see them again

They find out Xavier is alive. due to getting hold of some Shi'ar technology and Lilandra is announcing her wedding engagement to Charles. So it does look like episode 6 and 7 are happening at the same time, that's probably why Storm wasn't at the funeral.

What is this song The Purple People Eater, I've never even heard it before.

Magneto is alive!!!!!! I did have a feeling he was but he is now captured by Bastion but how did he survive.

Bastion is very creepy, scary villain. That shaving scene was weird. What's he planning to do with Magneto? brainwash him, use him as a scapegoat, what? I'm so confused.

Again great episode can't wait for next weeks episode but i'm very nervous especially its the start of the 3 part final.

I wanted to remind everyone why we love the characters in Avatar, so that's why I came up with this post. Let it be an appreciation post for our beloved chatacters and remind us why we love them so much. Let's count all the main characters one by one, and note why they're all well-written and interesting characters!

1-) Katara: She's the female main character of the series. She's hardworking, determined and optimistic. She is (arguably) the most powerful waterbender, but her abilities didn't come to her naturally. With a lot of training and hard work, she became the strong waterbender that she is today. Katara is also very kind, polite and compassionate. She has her flaws as a person and as a character, but honestly, it only makes her a more realistic character. But one thing for sure: she's absolutely cool and badass

2-) Toph: As a contrast to feminine Katara, Toph is the absolutely masculine and tomboyish female main character of the series. She comes across as a tough, strong and bold girl. And just like Katara, Toph is also the master of her own element. However, despite her cold and snarky attitude, Toph is far from heartless. She's also a kind person with her own flaws, but at the end, she's ready to do what's right. And of course, she's a total badass

3-) Suki: Despite not being a bender like Katara and Toph, Suki is still a very strong and capable warrior. She can be masculine and always ready to kick some asses like Toph, and also can be feminine and soft like Katara.

4-) Mai: Similar to Suki, Mai is not a bender either. But she's still a deadly fighter. She's capable enough to take down a dozen of firebending guardians on her own. Even though Mai appears to be cold and apathetic, she's still loyal and caring, and her heart is in the right place.

5-) Ty Lee: She's the first person who is known to use chi blocking, and she's a master acrobat too. Unlike Mai, Ty Lee is sweet and nice, but that doesn't make her any less dangerous in fights. She's (arguably) the most capable warrior in hand-to-hand combat.

6-) Azula: Intelligent and calculating, Azula is a perfect villain and the main female antagonist of the series. She's a firebending prodigy and a deadly warrior. And she's just as ruthless as her father, not any less softer just because she's a girl. Azula may be evil, but she's far from being a shallow character. Which is why she's always been a complex character.

7-) Zuko: He may not be a natural prodigy like his sister, but Zuko is still a very strong firebender with a very strong will. He never gives up and always stands up for what he thinks is right. Not all his decisions were good, but he still works hard to improve himself. At the end, Zuko does his best to do the right thing. And in a metaphorical way, his character is (arguably) the most interesting one of the series because it tells you a lot: to always keep trying even though it's hard, life might not what you expect it to be but there's always hope... This is why he is a brilliant character who has the best redemption arc ever

8-) Uncle Iroh: The tea-loving and fatherly uncle that we all love! Iroh is wise, kind, loving... But also an extremely powerful firebender! He indeed had bad actions. But he realized his mistakes and now trying to do anything to bring peace and balance. This man is the brilliant mentor figure that we all admire!

9-) Ozai: Unlike his kind and funny brother, Ozai is the cutthroat and cruel main antagonist of the series, similar to his daughter. He is an evil person, but it doesn't change the fact that he is still one of the most powerful firebenders that ever lived!

10-) Aang: The kind, polite and friendly male protagonist of the series. He might be goofy, but he is far from being stupid. He is smart and strong, and a real badass in fights, especially when he enters the Avatar state! Aang is one of the strongest Avatars who ever lived, but he didn't choose this responsiblity in the first place. However, he accepted it and now ready to do anything to restore the balance

11-) Sokka: He is the brains of the Team Avatar, or The Gaang as he calls it. Sokka is not a bender like his friends, but still a good fighter and he is the one who comes up with plans. He is also a pure comedy material. That's why it's always so fun to watch him!

I adore WWDITS. I love this show so much, for so many different reasons, but it's struck me before -- and, again, recently -- how much it reminds me of playing and GMing Vampire: the Masquerade.

The first step? Everyone comes up with SUPER COOL CHARACTER BACKGROUNDS!

Oh you wanna be 700 years old? No problem! You had 34 wives? Nice. You were a rampaging warlord nicknamed The Relentless while you were still alive? Sweet. Yeah we can do that.

Extra dots to go with that 700 years of experience? Oh, no, buddy, we're doing basic character generation here.

Your character is 500 years old? The only survivor from a village so poor that her relatives literally sold the meat off their own bodies to survive? Damn, I'm liking it! You've met some pretty awesome humans during your vampiric existence, too? Great!

No, no extra dots. Choose wisely.

So almost all the players are choosing their dump stats so that they can have cool powers like turning into mist or a bat. Nadja's player decides to ramp up on the Intelligence to make up for the other vampires dumping it, but instead her Charisma has to take a dive, so nobody ever listens when her character has already figured out what the problem is.

Then they all mock Guillermo's player for deciding to go with a human, not realising the GM has allowed him to build his human from Hunter: the Reckoning instead of the VtM core book. And Guillermo's player isn't a dick, he's a team player, so he gives his character an absolute love of vampires to make sure the hunter doesn't murder the rest of the group for lols (because we've ALL met those players, who think it's hilarious to fuck over the group instead of the group's actual enemies).

Then you end up with absolutely brilliant plotlines, which the players bumble around or completely ignore. You get Nandor stuck in a cage in the animal pound because he dumped Intelligence and forgot he can turn into mist and leave, next to Laszlo stuck in a cage who -- despite being a mass murderer -- has arbitrarily decided he needs to "rescue" his fellow inmates. You have Nadja constantly figuring out how to fix everyone's problems, then absolutely panicking at a chain email because she's so sure everything is Witches and her grasp of modern anything is totally absent. You get characters failing to organise an orgy even though vampires are horny and ready to roll.

I fucking love it, and I think in part it's because it really speaks to that deep knowledge of games going totally off the rails at every available opportunity.

You know what? It’s been a while since I shared my thoughts on the IDW comics, and I wanna get back into that. Let’s talk about Issue 55!

Right away this cover art is fucking GREAT! Might be some of the best in the series. I’m a big fan.

First off, the Egg Walkers back! Cool! The Egg Mobile is nice and all back Eggman tromping around in a big legged version of the thing has always been fun.

Secondly, love that Metal just rushed in to attack Sonic immediately without Eggman’s orders. Weather it’s just Metal’s prime programming to kill Sonic, or his own free will beginning to creep through is up in the air. And I like that.

Really faked me out here, thought for sure we’d have the classic horror trope with Surge jumping down right before Eggman fully realizes where she is. But Eggman being quick witted enough to realize where she is and shooting that close to her is way better!

Also Eggman having a gun will never not be funny to me. Sure it just shoots lasers but god the image of Eggman holding a pistol is metal and hilarious at the same time.

I’m so god damn happy with what Ian and Evan have been doing with Eggman this arc. The fact that this is the second time in 6 issues that he has grabbed and attacked a character with his bare hands is amazing and really paints him as the threat he’s meant to be. Eggman being physically stronger than he looks, while still needing to rely more on his machines, is just a fantasic bit of characterization.

God I love the way the ENTIRE panel is washed in color whenever Surge uses the wisp powers. It’s absolutely stunning and is a FANTASTIC showcase of her power.

HOT DAMN CHAOS DRIVES ARE BEING ACKNOWLEDGED!

You know after two mini-series of “Starline manipulates people for his plan, they find out, he almost dies, Starline manipulates people for his plan, they found out, he DOES die,” it’s great to be reminded, post-mortem, Starline is an absolute genius and could have been a genuine terrible threat to the world had he not been so focused on one upping Eggman.

I love how Sonic and Eggman aren’t working together yet here, but are smart enough to know that both of them are enemies to Surge and coming at her from both sides like this before confronting each other is a good play. Also Metal looks AWESOME!

I continue to feel so bad for Surge it hurts. The crippling paranoia and anxiety over both her own safety and Kit’s is heart breaking and really makes me want to see her come out okay in the end, which unfortunately I don’t think will happen at this point.

I have nothing of value to say here i just like the image of Eggman drinking water like a professional athlete.

I gotta say it’s a little jarring to see Eggman so quickly accept Sonic’s help after he was so stubbornly against it in Sonic Frontiers, but I guess he just knows that he’s in a completely modified base that he’s unfamiliar with, has no form of transport anymore, and his only form of defense is Metal Sonic who would probably struggle against Sonic and Tails at the same time.

Plus I really can’t blame the writing team for it since they were almost certainly writing this before Frontiers came out and only Ian knew what was going on in that story and he didn’t work on this issue.

And there it is folks, that sweet, horrid realization that Surge isn’t just some brute who Starline hired, but a horrific creation of Starline who doesn’t know anything else than to hate Sonic. God this arc is creepy.

And once again a reminder that Starline is an evil genius on the same level as Eggman, just blinded by his own ego. Eggman admitting himself that Starline was brilliant but only AFTER he’s dead is great to see. I adore a villain who respects their enemies abilities and Eggman is prime for that.

Kit continues to look creepy and Sure is doing the Vegeta pose.

But enough about that I wanna talk about how calm Surge looks in those first couple panels. Or at the very least not angry like she usually is. Surge has been fighting running around and fighting non stop since Issue 50 and she’s clearly scared of the fact that Sonic and Eggman are working together. She’s tired, she’s scared, and she doesn’t know what else to do but to fight Sonic.

And oh BOY this last page is pretty!!! I cannot stress enough how amazing the art of this series is, it’s astounding!

Conclusion

Surge and Kit continue to be really fun and compelling villains and I’m so glad they’ve been added. Feels like we’re getting close to the end of this first major arc involving them, but whatever happens next issue I hope that the two of them can continue to appear in later comics down the line. Giving Sonic more of a rogues gallery is always neat to me, even if Eggman deserves more of the spotlight.

Sometimes I think the actors are the saving grace of the show, especially the main four. Somehow, in the face of repetitive plots & sometimes wooden dialogue, they managed to give it their all which made people tune in every week. I know that heaps of love was poured on Colin & Bradley for literally carrying the show, but the real credit has to go to Angel Coulby for enduring the racism and misogyny in the toxic fandom with the grace of an actual queen.

I think Katie was very charismatic, and that was her saving grace in the first three seasons. In the beginning, whenever she had to show distress or anger, she wasn't great at it, to say the least. In the season 3 finale, for example, when she found Morgause's unconscious body, her pain and fear were very unconvincing. She improved quite a lot in the last two seasons though. In seasons 4 and 5, her disdain, anger, and coldness were played with this wonderful vulnerability that gave Morgana a lot more depth than the lines she was given.

As for Bradley, he was great in action scenes and very charismatic. He was just one of those people everyone likes, a natural leader. He was always great with Colin, and, imo, paid special attention to his scenes with Merlin. I think it was obvious he was closer to, and/or liked, Colin/Merlin better than Angel/Gwen. He probably preferred the manly bromance over the romantic scenes. In the beginning, particularly in season 2, Bradley was great in all his scenes with Gwen, and he gave great heart eyes. However, over time, he began acting colder. When he was supposed to look affectionate, he looked indifferent. In seasons 4 and 5, especially, he was inconsistent in his scenes with Gwen. He was great at showing anger, pain, vulnerability, and did wonderful work in episodes like The Changeling, Lancelot Du Lac, The Sword in the Stone, but he wasn't nearly as good at showing affection, softness, love. Compared to Angel, he sometimes looked so wooden: for example, in The Coming of Arthur or in his proposal in The Sword in the Stone. I also thought he wasn't emotional enough in With All My Heart, but his acting was subtle and perhaps that was a choice. However, when Gwen came back to herself his relief was just not there imo. Anyway, Bradley was particularly good in scenes with his father as well.

Colin was always good, in any scene, but, in the beginning, Merlin's goofiness was kind of off-putting to me. I grew to like him quite a lot in season 5, though. I think, acting wise, he was excellent, at his best, in that season. His acting in The Disir, for example, when he told Arthur to not take up the Triple Goddess's offer, or when he was poisoned and betrayed by Daegal in The Hollow Queen (RIP Daegal, I loved you baby), was excellent.

And our angel Angel, she was awesome too. She had really diverse facial expressions. She was always surprising me with the different faces she pulled. She was so expressive. She used her gaze so well and gave it her all in every scene. She shined the most in her scenes with Bradley, not necessarily because they had the best chemistry - she had great chemistry with everyone - but because she had many cool scenes with him that let her show off her range. For example, The Moment of Truth, The Once and Future Queen, The Witchfinder, for badass Gwen who put Arthur in her place; Goblin's Gold and a Servant of Two Masters for funny Gwen; The Changeling, Lancelot Du Lac, The Sword in the Stone for angsty Arwen; Sweet Dreams, His Father's Son, The Coming of Arthur, With All My Heart for emotional, yet less angsty Arwen... She was brilliant in Lancelot Du Lac, The Sword in the Stone and With All My Heart in particular. But she was great as evil Gwen too...

And yes, it must've been hard for Angel to have her screentime cut, her role reduced, deal with Merthur shippers, probably put up with a lot of behind the scenes bullshit - especially as a woman of color in the entertainment industry, or in any industry - and probably be paid less than Katie and disproportionately less than her male costars. I don't know exactly what she went through, or what Angel's like irl, but I can imagine she had to put up with a lot.

I think the entire cast was wonderful Acting can get boring, for sure, but they gave it their all until the end.

Thank you so much for posting these chapters. I have no idea what you were talking about when you said we should keep our expectations low. This was absolute perfection and surpassed any expectations I ever had. Rhaena and Beala’s Picknick was so beautifully written, you wrote Beala perfectly and I loved her spontaneous haircut moment which will explain whatever that was that she had on her hair in the last dinner episode. You created such chemistry between them and really brought across the feel of how they have grown estranged yet are still familiar with each other. I loved everything they said about Deamon, that was such an accurate portrayal of his motivations. My favorite part of their dialogue was Rheana roasting the Strong boys like grilled chickpeas like Jesus Christ that was so satisfying to read thank you for including that. On another note their conversation made me cry when they talked about Leana and again, you really understood the assignment. Her letters were so heartbreaking to read and everything the twins went through because of the blacks made me so angry. Them plotting together was awesome and the plans they came up with seemed very logical and plausible. I officially became a Beala fan the moment she said she planned on killing Daemon. I would pay so much money to see that.

Maegora the cat was so cool and Rheana’s take on how the blacks younger dragons are stunted was so good.

And oh my god AEMOND!!! Adult Aemond is so amazing and I loved how you showed how different he is from Daemon through Beala’s eyes ( I hate it when people compare them ). I swear, your take on Aemonds character is better than any other I have ever seen. Your Aemond is canon now. I love him. He seems to human and I just love him and Rheana together. He’s such a sweetie and you actually give him a personality unlike most fanfic writers. Him telling Beala what helps Helaena with her moonblood was so sweet I love love love him. He would be such a good husband to Rhaena, please let them marry and band together with Beala, Veamond and Leanor and the greens against Deamon and the blacks.

Honestly, I will probably reread these chapters a dozen times over, if this were a book these chapters would be the ones I’d annotate with with five different colors because they’re brilliant in so many different ways. There were so many phrases that made me giggle or want to cry and they were all so wonderful.

You absolutely DESTROYED team black in these chapters. My brain is now filled with Aemond and Rhaena and all I want is to see them talk and be happy together. Thank you so much 💚💚💚

Team Black is fine! I have destroyed no one. Lololol. 😅 I didn't want to make Rhaena a "hater," but they went out of their way to have Rhaena voice that she felt neglected. Are we assuming that her relationship with Daemon improved with the addition of a stepmother and five boys? They went out of their way to have Laena say out loud that she was a placeholder wife, that she was unhappy in Pentos, and they sat down and agreed that "kill this bitch with fire and have celebratory funeral sex on her grave while the ashes are warm" was how they were going to treat Laena. It's too in-your-face to ignore, and in light of that, I just couldn't write Baela as "Yay, lemme go risk my life fighting for my stepmother. Marrying Jace is peak goals." I was literally unable to write that. I want to do happy shipping, but it's also a fix-it fic.

Daenerys, Sansa, Arya, Brienne, Asha, Cersei, Catelyn, Margaery and Olenna didn't exist and do schemes and burn shit down just for Rhaena and Baela to stand in the background like invisible elevator bellboy people saying “Wine, my queen," while being married off to randos. Nope.

I just want them to be on the same page when it comes to destroying their enemies. If their in-canon enemies happen to be the bulk of the characters on Team Black then 🤷🏾‍♀️ 😂 Rhaena's just sort of giving Baela the hard sales pitch to join a side that's not Team Black or Team Green but a third, secret two-woman operation like

To be fair, he doesn't have a ton of personality in the show. He and Aegon have a little bit more meat on them than the other kids, but they're mostly just there. Like 90% of these hotd characters are just 1-d stick figures with wigs on imo. It took me three months to figure out a personality for Baela that made sense. 😭 Like, on one hand, you're doing a fanfic and anything goes, but on the other hand, like I'm always worrying about what's ooc?

I'm going with "Teenage boy who was raised by a knight templar and his sister-mother. Used to be a nerd. Had a glow-up but is still a nerd. Wants to be a jock but doesn't really like sports. Is considering his career options."

I have no idea why the Daemon comparisons are so popular. All the Targaryen men have the same "Draco in leather pants" look. Daemon's been living his life one 10-year exile at a time and Aemond's a post time-skip baby. The first time he's even meeting his uncle is during his eye-gouging incident.

I mean, is this the face of someone looking for a role model to emulate or someone making a kill list?

Daemon actually did very little during that scene. He's really just standing there spectating for the most part. And then he and Rhaenyra exile themselves to Dragonstone for 6+ more years. Why would Aemond care about Daemon?

I honestly just think Martin and the writers (and half of the fandom, I guess) believe that Daemon is so cool that all the young kids in Westeros have Morally Grey Rogue Prince™ collectible action figures, (dead wives sold separately).

I sort of assume it's just a thing from F&B where Daemon wasn't banished from King's Landing and was around doing a ton of cool shit while Aemond was growing up???

In swhhw, Aemond's only interest in Daemon is killing him.

I wanted Rhaena to sort of just have a hypersensitive "I'm allergic to Targ bullshit" reaction to Aemond because she's been on Dragonstone for years and needs time to decompress, while Baela has the more objective stance, while Aemond's mostly just sort of offended that she's comparing him to her deadbeat hobo dad.

I've had some people say that a blorbo is the cahracter you lose braincells over; 'always have rotating in your head'; a character you hyper related to; a character you're obsessed with and so on (I got SO MANY messages SO FAST after admitting I didn't know what a blorbo was, it was so nice and also so funny XD, thank you EVERYONE who came and answered my question! And I'm including you, Janet, in this, as I got your ask alongside the messages and I thank you very much for it ^_^)

And for those definitions, I don't really have a blorbo? I've got some favorite characters whom I enjoy reading about / seeing / writing, but no characters that I am really obsessed with or lose braincells over or the like^^;;

So I'll just go with your absolute favs, as that way I actually have an answer!! ^^

Just going with fandoms as I think of them, it's hardly an exhaustive list, however XD I also am going to keep it to just 2 or 3 characters for each fandom just to try and keep things something resembling reasonable in length XD

Anderson / Century 21: Phones is one without a doubt. I ADORE how calm, sweet, and gentle Phones is and how he is so happy not to be in the limelight and just how well he bounces off the far more fiery.... well, most everyone XD ------ Lady Penelope herself. She's legit in my top ten for ALL TIME favorite characters in all media so that's an easy one. The stoic is my favorite character type, and Penny is a calm, cool under fire stoic, and a badass and competent spy to boot (Also, all three of her novels were awesome, as were her comics) ------ Scott Tracy as, again, I do so love the stoic, esp a stoic who trends towards deadpan snarker / dry wit. Scott rarely gets angry, and tends to stay calm and cool even in the most fiery of situations, and I just really enjoy his character and stories that he 'stars' in... helped by the fact that he and Penny were the 'leads' of the Theydon novels and I adore those books ^^

Conan Doyle: Watson, when he's the version of the character seen in the novels. A collected but very passionate man, and quite brilliant in his own way. While I am a HUGE fan of the Granada Holmes and other Holmes shows, I hate how Watson was reduced to a bumbler or fool. outside of the novels, I'd have to say that Freeman in Sherlock and Law in the Sherlock Holmes films are my favorite examples of the character Sherlock Holmes himself, as I adore how he can go from calm and cool to the point of nearly emotionless to near manic vibrancy and activity. He tends to be super interested in things that he cares about... but giving no energy or care to things that don't interest him. I adore him in the novels, and in many of his depictions, not including many of the more recent depictions. Professor Challenger. A volcano of man. As massive in stature and personality as he is in (well earned) reputation. He was pretentious and self-righteous... but he cared deeply about people and the world and would come roaring to the defense of those in need.

Zag: Used to really like Miraculous, but honestly I have lost interest in the show and characters. Last thing I watched was the NYC special and Season 3, still have neither watched nor been interested in watching S4 or S5. I'm idly interested in watching the upcoming film. Maybe it'll be decent and interesting where the show proper is not. BUT... I do like the REST of the Zag shows a lot. They're a ton of fun and I've gone out of my way to watch them, and rewatch them fairly regularly. Can I say everyone in the Zak Storm, Ghostforce, and Power Players? ...no? ...dang it. hrm, gonna go with Cece, Calabrass and Liv. Cece is the calm, logic driven Spock to Zak's Kirk, and as mentioned above, I do so love the stoic XD Calabrass is very much NOT a stoic, but he bounces SO WELL off everyone else, and I adore how he quickly became a 'dad' to the crew, but in particular Zak. Liv is independent, spunky and very helpful/caring (to the piont that it can be a weakness at times).

Gargoyles: Brooklyn, Elisa, and Xanatos here. One of the few cases where the stoic is not my favorite, as I ended up finding Goliath rather boring ^^;; I love Brooklyn's deadpan snarker / gallows humor personality, Elisa's fiery and competent manner, and Xanatos adaptable and suaveness. I also like how well rounded they are ^_^

Transformers: Hot Rod / Rodimus is my fav here, or at least the marvel comics and g1 cartoon version of him (gallows humor and deadpan snarker with a firey and vibrant personality). I don't really like him much in IDW (but then I didn't like IDW pretty much at all) I also love Cheetor, seeing him go from a well meaning but unseasoned kid to a competent and crafty warrior by the end... ach, just love it (actually love the entire BW crew) Lots of other characters too, just trying to keep it to my top favs

Movie - Pretty good opener, while I'm unfamiliar with the references it is fun knowing that they're there. The song is kind of tainted by the fact Richard O'Brien refused to let Patricia Quinn sing it. 7/10

2015 show - Such a vibe and it has Roxy! Her vocals are amazing, the way she says outer space makes me grin like an idiot. 9/10

Dammit Janet:

Movie - Pretty cool, I love the irony of having Frank n furter and magenta in the background and the moment when they bring out the coffin. All in all, not bad. 8/10

2015 show - meh, not quite as great as the show cos the imagery above is missing, I do enjoy their vocals though. 7/10

Over at the Frankenstein Place:

Movie - Pretty good, I love the effects like the lighting and something about Brad and Janet singing in the rain is very iconic. 8/10

2015 show - I love the vocals, particularly riff Raff's part (while I hate him he has a killer solo). The transylvanians in the back really add to the atmosphere. 8/10

Time warp:

Movie - THIS WILL NEVER GET. OLD So many good memories associated with this, the vocals aren't the best but they are so iconic, this is always what people think of when they hear Rocky Horror. 10/10

2015 show - Still amazing however I do think Magenta failed her solo, her voice is amazing but it's just not the same vibe. 8/10

Sweet Transvestite:

Movie - Tim Curry. In fishnets. Singing. Walking like an absolute god. The lyrics are so good and Dr Frank N Furter is amazing. 10/10

2015 show - David Bedella's vocals will never fail to impress me, he rocked that role, however he's still not Tim Curry. On top of that, you have these beauties: "t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-tensionnn!" "Say it! Say it!". 10/10

Sword of Damocles:

Movie - Oh my God this used to be so bad to me but now it's great! I love Frank N Furter's crazy behaviour and it's such a clever song concept. 8/10

2015 show - I love it, Rocky in the show is better than in the film imo. Also, Mel Giedroyc. 9/10

I can make you a man:

Movie - I kinda low-key love the exercise equipment stuff and Frank never fails to make me laugh in this, I also really love the lyrics. 8/10

2015 show - the audience participation is hilarious and David Bedella makes this song so so good. 9/10

Hot Patootie:

Movie - Eddie and Columbia awwwwww!!! Kinda love crazy Frank and intimidating Eddie, also the vibes and the saxophone are great. 6.5/10

2015 show - not brilliant in comparison with the movie, I can't remember it very well tbh. 6/10

I can make you a man (reprise):

Movie - Tim Curry slays so hard in this and clueless Rocky is kinda hilarious, plus the tune is amazing and the lyrics are awesome. 8/10

2015 show - perfect end to act 1, the vocals and harmonies are amazing and I kinda live for David Bedella saying "shake" with the little shimmy. 8.5/10

Toucha Toucha Touch Me:

Movie - MAGENTA AND COLUMBIA AND SUSAN SARANDON ARGHHHHHHH!!! Magentas laugh thrills me, chills me, fulfils me. Not a fan of the ending but the dynamic between magenta and columbia is immaculate, plus the lyrics always get stuck in my head. 9/10

2015 show - The vocals are amazing, Janet's laugh gives me chills HOWEVER!!! There's no magenta x columbia stuff, not even hinted. 8/10

Eddie:

Movie - Pretty good but also kind of boring in comparison with the show, I do love the concept and lyrics though. 7/10

2015 show - This would be ten out of ten for the vocals and Columbia's high note plus it is so much more fun however I am deducting marks for the salute. 9.5/10

Planet Schmanet Janet:

Movie - Tim Curry in this is amazing, Janet's reactions and scream slay me. Also, there's something about the lyrics that I love so so much. 9/10

2015 show - Pretty good, I do love David Bedella's voice as I've already said and the emphasis on certain phrases like "mental mind fuck". 8/10

Planet hotdog:

Movie - again, nice. I've seen a lot of edits of Brad's little shaky fists and I do enjoy magenta bopping in the background. 6.5/10

2015 show - AMAZING! Well, no necessarily amazing but the voices are great and I am of course biased because of Magenta in the background (if you know you know) 9/10

Rose Tint my World:

Movie - ARGHHHHHH!!! This scene makes me so confused about my sexuality! They're all so hot! From Brad in heels calling for his mommy and Janet looking incredible to Columbia's voice in her solo I am in love with this song! 10/10

2015 show - the vocals aren't quite as moving however it is still great. 8.5/10

Don't dream it:

Movie - we have now reached the segment where Tim Curry floats dreamily on a titanic life ring in a Sistine chapel pool before all the main characters join him in a massive aqua orgy. I don't know what Richard O'Brien had to have been taking to come up with this but it's a MASTERPIECE!!! 10/10

2015 show - Still amazing but minus the pool it does lose a mark 9/10

Wild and untamed thing:

Movie - ABSOLUTE. CRACK. I live it, it's actually my username on tiktok. The lyrics, the abrupt interruption of Riff Raff, everything about this is great. 9/10

2015 show - practically the same as the movie. 9/10

I'm going home:

Movie - Oh. My. God. This is such a beautiful ballad that it feels out of place in the film, the raw emotion is beautiful and so well played by Tim Curry, I also love how dramatic it is. 10/10

2015 show - Still so beautiful, David's smile while he's singing seems so genuine he really played the role so well. 10/10

Science fiction double feature (reprise):

Movie: less meaning than the show, however it has been redeemed by a drunk guy singing it in a YouTube video. 7.5/10

2015 show: amazing! The emotion and again Roxy. I really feel the way she says "I wanna go", a beautiful end to the show. 10/10

so im on the 8th gym, havent beat it, and my team is:

eggman. sweet poor eggman. currently a level 54 togetic. with the move set of baton pass, nasty plot, attract, and metronome. his strat is to make the girls fall in love with him, do an evil scheme, and then fuck around and find out. all else fails, run away.

kirby. level 47 jirachi. cuz i guess you get a jirachi in this game if you played sword or shield. i love them. with zen headbutt, life dew, dazzling gleam, and helping hand, i basically built them to work together with my star of the show pokemon in doubles, because i LOVE doubles. not online cuz im shy.

garchomp. level 69. got it from wondertrade and its just kinda here now. shadow claw, dragon claw, dig, and brick break, it does not set up and only attacks. i basically have no emotional attachment to her im sorry

soap. motherfucking soap. level 90 luxray. during the start of my save file, none of my pokemon would listen to me cuz i had the just great idea of using almost only trade pokemon. got angry and decided "FUCK YOU IM GOING TO CHEAT" and caught a level 5 shinx, put it into violet, and fed it exp candies until it was level.. i think 68? ive only given it more rare candy since then. its only ever leveled up ONCE in battle. right now its my last resort pokemon in the back of my party cuz i do like my game to be a little hard (as proven by eggman) he knows thunder, wild charge, volt switch, and strength. aka "might not work but worth it" "hurt yourself in the process" "attack then FUCK OFF" and "normal type move cuz ground types exist"

lucario. level 60 lucario. its from japan (or a game with the language set in japan, i guess?) and my best buddy. we're friends. i love him. i think hes from violet but he's here for some reason and awesome. he knows aura sphere, rock tomb, swords dance, and meteor mash. hes the guy kirby is with in doubles and the guy eggman runs away to. he's the star of the show. uh.. besides level 90 soap. also hes a master in cuteness contests so he's VERY talented.

dusky. level 48 dialga. just got here. still has base move set. but theyre here for one reason: my stupid ass luck. dusky got their name from the pokeball they were caught from. yup, a DUSK BALL. i dont have the exact stats but, i think.. dialga, a legendary, in a dusk ball, during the day? id say about a 5% chance. AND IT WORKED. i lost my shit when it happened. i think to myself, "this is why you've only gotten one shiny outside of community day fennekin and wonder traded hacked ones. because all your luck goes to bullshit like this." (and the fucking FIRST pokemon i battled on the port to coliseum being a SHINY KAKUNA. why.) might get off the team at some point.

monferno i caught in legends arceus. left behind but was useful for gardenia and stuff.

razor the roserade. he's a champion from galar. just here cuz i wanted him to be.

bunbun the lopunny. shes also a champion from galar. i just didnt want them to be lonely cuz i never play that game.

R.K. (aka roaring knight) i never used him ever but he's a gallade and i just think hes cool and worth a shout out.

felon the empleon. my starter. i left him in the box because its the electric gym. might pick him back up for the elite four and replace dusky. unsure. move set of metal claw, surf, brine, and blizzard. cuz. yeah. no set up for him only damage.

machamp from china or a game with chinese, i guess. i got him from wondertrade as a machoke and i just think its neat.

ledian. poor ledian. i wanted it to work out. i wanted to pick faves over powerfulness like karen says. but no i cant. youre fucking pathetic ledian. im sorry. i love you.
